They were really nice and always worked with me to drop the car when I needed things done. However, I took my car in a couple months ago to check my brakes and they said they cleaned them for me and that was all that was needed. Turns out I need new front brakes, rotors, and the back wasn’t properly cleaned. I am by no means a daily driver and the car mostly sits so this should have been addressed when I brought it in. I also got told at some points I needed things replaced and a month later I would bring it in (after saving up for a costly repair) and they’d tell me it didn’t. I’m disappointed because I really like the staff but I won’t be coming here anymore.

I have used this shop for mechanical and for body work they have restored my 1987 Ford thunderbird turbo coupe it’s is beautiful and looks just like it did in 1987 I will definitely recommend them to my friends.

Car was acting up while in columbus dropping a family member off at Riverside. Bernies was booked up so I couldnt get an appointment right away, but the mechanic offered to come and take a quick look in the parking lot. He quickly diagnosed and explained the issue and assured me it would be fine to drive back home to Bucyrus. He easily could have said Sorry, were booked and cant help you. But he was very helpful and went the extra mile to answer my questions and help my understand what was happening. I will definitely recommend Bernies to my friends in the Columbus area.

Had some rusted out and stripped screws in my car that I couldnt get out. I swung in here on my lunch break and they got them out in about 5 minutes. Will come back for future work needed.

Went to Bernies because of the great ratings and they are an A+ BBB shop. My first experience wasnt a good one. They installed my tires on backwards and I had to come back 😭😫. Most high performance tires these days are unidirectional and they couldnt get it right the first time. Went flat overnight and would have stranded me if it wasnt for a pump I had.

They did an outstanding job painting my classic car. Engine install, and rehab.

Came in to get some leaks fixed around the gutter of my van and the windshield. those leaks did not get fixed. the company they hire to do glass work, Harr’s auto glass, did not seal in my windshield properly; not the first time, and not the second time, we hope that third time was the charm but that shouldn’t have ever been the case— not after i spent $500+ to get it done right the first time. my van spent over 50 hours in the shop all to fix their faulty work. i was treated like i didn’t know anything about my vehicle but i sure did know where the water was coming in and they didn’t listen. they did work that i could have done myself even after i asked them to provide a service that i couldn’t complete—> they caulked over old caulk instead of removing the old caulk and recaulking and i still could have done their work better. i am disappointed in the service i received and will not go back to bernies.

When I need some auto repairs or service I know exactly where Ill go. Bernies does it all from body work to regular maintenance. Bev and Danny are extremely helpful and some of the most genuine people youll ever meet!

Ive brought two cars here two separate times with no complaints. Prices have been better than other shops and turnaround on getting my car back has been quick. Friendly staff. Bernies will be my first stop in the future for car issues.

Yesterday I dropped my car off for some exhaust repair....I was called within an hour with an estimate (I actually didnt fall on the floor) and the work was done by 1:30...I was ecstatic! I love a company that respects the fact that we need our cars and go above and beyond to see that we are not stranded for long....They were super professional, the garage was very clean and everyone was very friendly! I love this shop. They can fix about anything.I always ask for an estimate and get it no problem.They can fix your old car (like my 1987 Ford Conversion Van)Or my 2006 Volvo. And not expensive either!They are conscientious, established, and quick.

I am a return customer to Bernies. They have worked on two different cars for me, both mechanical and body work. Their prices are fair and they do only the work that is needed, not what is unnecessary. I once needed major work on a vehicle that was pricey and they looked for a used part for me to bring down the price. Their body work was great and the paint job lasted the life of the vehicle (8+ years).

This is my go to place for any body work that I need to have completed. The work is always completed in a timely fashion and with excellent quality!

They are very friendly people. I am not from the area. I live 1 hour away and my car started make a weird noise and starting searching online and they popped up and ended up taking my car to them and they had me up and running in less then 30 mins. DO NOT EVER GO HERE.Bernies kept my car and keys overnight, with neither my permission nor knowledge, leaving me locked out of my home. They said theyd call me when the job was complete, but they never did.Other employees apologized for the mistake and explained what happened (miscommunication between themselves), but I was called a liar by Brenda, the manager, and she has yet to even apologize or admit her and others mistakes.Horrible, horrible service. Please dont ever get any car work done here. Im amazed theyre still in business running this type of place. I will never return and will do my best to keep everyone I know from having to experience this.

Fast service but I was told $95 on the phone to install my starter, well when I got the bill it was double that, $190+tax. I will not be using them again

The staff is rough around the edges, but they are honest and do great work. As someone who doesnt know much about fixing cars, being able to trust a mechanic is a top priority for me.

Id give a 0 If I could fixed my car after taking it back 3 times and spending hundreds of dollars. My car always came back smelling like cigarette smoke as they smoke inside the shop. Nobody was ever eager to help me when I walked in the door. Not sure why anyone reccomends them.
