Took my laptop in because I had a Steam game that wasnt loading properly and kept crashing. They took my laptop so they could run daignostics and told me what the issue was. This did take a few days but to be fair the weekend played a part in that. Everyone was very nice and my laptop works perfectly now I can say Im very happy with their service!

Had a great experience at Buckeye Laptop last week! My phone was dropped from an 4 story balcony, and I assumed it was a loss, but Jess fixed it in less than an hour for only $100. The apple store had told me to buy a new phone.

Fairly priced, quick service, and very approachable staff. The owner is a young, ambitious business owner and OSU graduate. My Lenovo ThinkPad wouldnt turn on, and none of the standard troubleshooting would work. After an initial diagnosis, they identified the issue and put it in que for repair. I picked it up a few days later with all of my data exactly where it was. Hopefully Ill never have to visit Buckeye Laptop again, but if I do have hardware issues itll be the first place I think of.

I went to Buckeye Laptop earlier today because a screw in my Mac had come loose and was preventing me from being able to charge my laptop. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they fixed the issue in under five minutes. Since it wasnt a lengthy repair they didnt even charge me! Overall it was a really great experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

In May 2018, I had my busted iPhone screen replaced and while I was at it I had them replace the battery since it was almost 2 years old. The battery lasted about two months and then it wouldnt hold a charge. Battery strength would work normal until about 74% and then the phone would die. It would completely shutdown and then restart and be at 10%, whereupon it would die again. Taking a picture was out of the question as the phone would die, no matter what strength the battery showed, when a picture was snapped. I was forced to buy a new phone after paying the $130 for the new glass and battery.Tonight (4 months later) I powered up the old phone to get some stuff off it and noticed the glass isnt even attached at the bottom anymore. To be fair, I didnt complain to them about this because I travel for a living and havent been in Columbus since.The girl that waited on me couldnt be nicer. She was pleasant and kept me up to speed on everything she was doing and the only reason I didnt give them one star. She was also the one who did the work.After I posted a 2 star review I was contacted by Buckeye Laptop. After a little back and forth about the problem, (apparently, phone batteries can swell...who knew!?) they refunded all my money and sent me a postal label to mail the the phone in question. I still ended up with a new phone that cost me $270 more than I would have had to pay if the battery hadnt swollen up so I feel like Im a little short in the deal but you cannot beat their customer service.

Had an iPhone with a shattered screen and had been looking around and comparing prices. Buckeye had the best price and even better, they are located downtown. My 6 year old HP laptop went down with a hardware problem I couldnt fix myself. I work right around the corner from Buckeye Laptop and decided to take it to Colin and the gang instead of the Microcenter or Geek Squad. Customer service upfront was great and the communication all the way through was super. My old HP was back on the road in a week and the fix would have been cheap at twice the price. These guys replaced my iPhone 6 cracked phone screen in short order (time it took for me to have a relaxed lunch). Their little spot is clean, professional, and they offer a lot of what look like refurbished laptops and tablets at bargain prices. I just returned to them to have a cassette tape with a mix of my sons bagpiping tunes that he made for me about 15 years ago converted to MP3 format. So Buckeye Laptop is turning out to be my go to place for all kinds of technical fix needs.

Went in for help with finding a triangle screwdriver. My son wanted to modify some of his Thomas trains. They were so nice and helpful with something not computer related. My son left with a huge smile!

My daughter brought her macbook in for repair. Buckeye Laptop said it couldnt be repaired and sold her a floor model that was supposedly in like-new condition. The laptop didnt work well from the start and got progressively worse to the point where it didnt work at all. She brought it back in several times until finally she was told that it couldnt be fixed. They tried to sell her another one for more money until I got involved and told them they would need to replace it at no additional charge. At that point they decided that it could, in fact, be fixed and did some repairs. Needless to say, that computer has now died again and since she is no longer living in Ohio, she will have to replace it with a new one. We were sold a bad machine. I believe Buckeye Laptop knew it was a bad machine when they sold it to her and did not remedy the situation when it stopped working. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with Buckeye Laptop in downtown Columbus.I tried to call every single day for a week, and no one ever picked up the phone. Then, I used their chat feature, and I got someone. I asked if they purchased used PC Gaming Desktops, and they said yes, bring it in and we will appraise it.Great! So I drove 45 minutes into downtown Columbus. The store opened at 10:00am, but naturally, the door was locked. It was unlocked five minutes later - usually not a big deal, but it doesn’t look good if your store is not open when it is supposed to be.I walk in and ask the customer service rep how we go about appraising my Gaming Desktop. He says “we only buy laptops now.” I told him that it says on the website that you buy desktops. He tells me that they made the decision YESTERDAY to stop buying desktops. Hmmmm, ok then. I asked why the website and the chat didn’t say anything about how desktops were no longer being accepted. He didn’t have an answer.He then tells me that he will in fact look at it, but the appraisal will take a full day and that I should leave it and come back tomorrow. Again, there is nothing on the website about this. In fact, it boasts 10-15 minute appraisals.My frustration is not that they don’t buy desktops, or that the appraisal takes a full day. It’s that companies like this change their policies and have no plan or customer service strategy to promote that change. I wouldn’t have a single problem with their process...if I had actually known about it. Don’t advertise that you offer services and terms that you suddenly don’t honor when a customer tries to pursue them.I want to know: in the meeting that took place on MLK day where the decision was made not to buy PC desktops, did anyone mention that gee whiz we should probably tell our customers about this policy change? And maybe we should outline the appraisal process to add clarity for our customers?The details are what separate mediocre businesses from extraordinary ones. Ultimately, you said that you would appraise my desktop. But taking a full business day to do so just wasn’t an option. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have called off work to make the trip into the city.

These guys came through in a pinch! I needed 2 files copied to a cdrom, which seems like NO BIG DEAL. Well, since Ive moved to using tablets for home use, and my work computer does not have a cdrom I figured I could just walk in to Office depot or any office store and get the job done. WRONG!! I went to office depot and 2 office max and they DO NOT/ or COULD NOT do this simple request. So, on my way to Dept of Commerce I noticed this little shop and stopped in to ask if they could. Sure enough they took care of it with no problem. I was so happy I gave a 5$ tip. These guys are awesome and know their stuff!

Buckeye Laptop did eventually manage to replace the cracked screen on my phone, but the amount of prodding and poking it took from me made it a very bad experience.Overall it took more than three weeks for the fix to happen and involved a bulging screen and a broken speaker thrown into the mix. Even now, the screen doesnt sit properly and protrudes out. Plus on its final return, the phone felt dirty and around the case around the screen looked chipped. Since the repair the phone doesnt seem to be functioning at its full capacity.These problems could have been dealt with in a professional and helpful manner, but instead it took repeated calls and visits in person to find out exactly what the status of the repair was. The sales associates attitude was confrontation and not pleasant.I would not recommend Buckeye Laptop for any phone repairs.

I own a business that buys/sells used cell phones including iPhones. I use Buckeye Laptop regularly to fix broken iPhones and work through various issues with the phones. Their service is excellent in every respect.

Absolutely horrible. I took my phone here to get the screen replaced and in the process they broke the speaker. I took it back and they said they fixed it however after a few days it stopped working again. We had moved away right after they fixed it so I couldnt go back to get it fixed again. I went to a different place where I moved to get it fixed and the place said the board inside the phone got messed up from the previous repair job which resulted in the speaker and microphone not to work along with causing the battery to inflate. The other place I went said my phone was on the verge of exploding because of all the damage. I called buckeye laptop and they refused to do anything for me. Do not take your products here!

Destroyed my harddrive with all of my sons baby pictures and videos on it and all of my undergrad work. I went into Buckeye Laptops this past October to sell my old MacBook, get a simple hard drive repair on a friends used MacBook and transfer my data over from the old MacBook. I wanted to keep the cost to $300 because I had found brand new laptops for that price. When I went to pick up my laptop the data had not been transferred. I called to complain and they told me the price didnt include the data transfer. I explained the old laptop had a lot of sentimental and professional material including all of my sons childhood pictures and all of my undergrad work. They assured me that they would make note of it and hold onto it. When I called today they said they had cleared out their recycling room. I told them I wanted compensation and the supervisor hung up on me. I spoke to a woman who offered me $50 if I signed something promising not to write a bad review online. When I said that was a joke considering I spent $300 and they destroyed sentimental data, she accused me of blackmailing them. Theyre randomly closed and dont answer the phone during listed business hours. Overpriced, unorganized and unprofessional.

I brought my sons blackberry playbook in for repairs since it wouldnrt turn on. They were the only place in Columbus that had the knowledge about it (and I had searched all over) yhey ran diagnostics and were un able to repair since motherboard had fried. They even tried to find part overseas but were unsuccessful so offered to defer $25 diagnostic fee towards a tablet or laptop in the store. Excellent service also ABOVE AND BEYOND customer service.

This is a terrible place to take your vhs I am not pleased with the products I received. I took 7 VHSs tapes to this establishment he guaranteed me that I would love the finished products, the cds skip I told him that. I know the tapes were old but you said that wouldnt be a problem. Then you promised me my cds in two weeks, I got them in 6 weeks then your co-worker said someone came in that wanted a cd for a funeral I had no problem with that if I were told but the older lady said they paid more money to have it done before mine. Well the quality of the cds are terrible the dvds that you use are cheap. I will never bring anything to your business ever again no will I recommend this place to anyone you need to stick to fixing cracked screens and working on computers. I am very disappointed in your work. A dissatisfied customer.

Called and inquired about a DC jack repair on a Dell Inspiron 1545. Was told most DC jack repairs are about $89 ranging up to $120. Obviously steep for 30 min of work and an $18 part however, theyre on my way home. Im the one who usually fixes all the technology related crap in our family but I was heading out of town and promised Id have my nieces computer fixed before she moved to Florida on January 2nd. I dropped it off about a week later and explained I was heading out of town and the January 2nd predicament. They called early on the 29th to give me a quote of $144 ($119 plus $25 rush fee) to have it done before January 4th. Way higher than expected especially since the part is $18 and literally takes 30 min to repair but at this point I was in a jam and needed it. On that call I explained I would BE BACK IN TOWN ON DEC 31ST. Not once did it register with the kid that MAYBE they should inform me They were closing early on December 30th and not reopening until January 4th. I had limited access to my phone and email while away. I received a voicemail on December 29th saying it was done. Awesome, however as I made them aware Im not back in town until the 31st. I received an email on 12/30 @ noon restating it was done and they were closing early for the holiday. I would imagine this meant early for new years day right? So closing early on December 31st in preparation for the holiday. No big deal... Ill be back on the 31st. I wrote an email back saying Id be there before noon. When I showed up... they were closed. Apparently they meant closing 1.5 days early for the holiday. Theyre less than stellar, drag and drop, template looking website gave no mention of holiday hours. Weird for a technology company to not use their technology? Do not waste your time and energy looking for parking just to be disappointed by this kiosk level quality business unless you want to purchase a floor model refurbished laptop with 160gb hdd from 2003.
