Nu Look was not our cheapest estimate, but were very glad that we chose them to do the roofing part of our project.Cons:- While there are some small things Nu Look could do better, the only real con for us was the lack of real communication (automated emails dont count) between time of sale agreement and scheduling the installation.Pros:- Detailed, genuine, sales visit that didnt leave a sales taste in our mouths.- Second visit with both solar and sales reps (Stan, Preston) that included how they could do both roof and solar.- Professional, efficient roof installation the day of install.- Responsiveness to questions/concerns on day of roof install.- Clean up at the end of roof installation.- Follow-up after roof installation.Neutral:- Price -- it depends on whats most important to you. Jake was the salesman that came out and he was excellent. We chose to go with Nu look because of the outstanding lifetime labor warranty they offered. I called nu look for a free estimate on my roof replacement. I had seen one of my residents getting there roof done, what caught my eye was how many men were working. I have had a number of things done with NLHD and each experience has been great. For a larger company, the prices have been surprisingly reasonable, in fact very competitive. But its what you get for the money that makes it a bargain. First, dealing with them is so easy. They are extra professional, patient and thorough. There is no fuzziness in the proposals and what they plan to do. I never get any up-selling pressure, just options. When I say no, there is zero attempt to push me. That is so great!! The quality of the work is first rate and they keep the site clean. I also like their use of zoom meetings. I mean I have to be honest, its a little uncomfortable to have folks come into your house for hours to talk about all these things. It impacts the overall house activities. So, hooray to the whole use of zoom. I hope you continue when there is no public health reason. Anyway, I am grateful for the way I have been dealt with and will definitely use them again. Cheers!

Ben Spencer delivered the estimate and was thoroughly prepared, had samples and answered all questions. The company is well organized and did everything they said they would do. Installation took about 6 hours or less.

Roof installation is pending, however I am confident that the quality of service and professionalism of the crew will be stellar. I’ve had other roof replacement presentations. What I appreciated most about this one is that I felt, I completely understood the process-current roof status, along with what all would be done when they replaced my roof and why. That along with them coming in at a price that I was willing to pay. Chad was professional, informative and for me it was more like a conversation than a presentation.

I was happy at 1st, but no longer. We had our roof replaced in February, everything then was great, warm weather and pollen came, and we went to use the AC and it didnt work. I called the company that installed the AC 5 years earlier and after much leak testing they found that a roofing nail had pierced the liquid line where it had passed through the eave of the house. With an asthmatic wife and child, I had no choice other than get it repaired ASAP. A few hours and $1300 dollars later the AC was fixed. I have been trying to get an answer from Nu Look on what their responsibility is since their work caused the failure with very little action. They did send someone out to look at the repair, but since then nothing but silence.The customer service department is all online, and you cant speak to anyone when you call. Small claims court will be my next action if this goes on much longer.

About 3or 4 months ago. Jason of NLHD stopped by telling me I had wind damage on my roof. My son in law had told me to stay away from these people cause of their extreme high pressure sales tactics. I took his flyer with his phone #. Told him there was no way I would be calling. Well... a month later my plumber told me I had a roof leak, that and a wet spot in the basement ceiling, so I called Erie ins. They sent out an independent inspector that told me I had no leak, just some wind damaged shingles and they were happy to repair/replace them. Told ins Co i was not happy. They sent an engineer who increased the # of bad shingles and again, no holes or anything that would cause a leak. Out of desperation I found the flyer and called New Look and spoke with same gentlemen that came to my house and started conversation with how I didn’t want to call and that’s when he gave the phone to Jessica and I told her too. Wow. She was great, told me they are not what I was told. She cane to my house and SHE got on my roof and SHE found a hole in the back of the roof, above where the leak was, no shingles at all at the base of a chimney a ton more shingles that were wind damaged and a couple more things I can’t recall, she showed me the pictures. NLHD contacted the ins co many times over the last two months(we had 3 snow events during that time)and each time the ins co acknowledged the additional damage. The ins co finally approved the “repair” of my 2 layer roof. But NLHD had to tell the ins co that repairing a 2 layer roof is illegal in MD, (something they should have know in the first place)So, now thanks to Jason, Jessica and NLHD, we are getting a brand new roof and the ins co is paying for it all. Folks. Don’t deal with the ins co yourself, you don’t speak roof and you need an advocate and these people are that advocate. Would recommend them to anyone that needs a new roof and that is dealing with an ins co. The ins co did not care about us but NewLook sure did and I’m so glad Jason came by.

I called to schedule an estimate for a new roof. They refused to provide me an estimate because my wife would not be there too. She is an ICU nurse and there is a global pandemic going on. She has more important things to attend to than the roof over our house. I have been left trying to find a different company. Totally ridiculous.

I had a great experience with chayce our sales rep. He was very well informed and he explained the whole process to me, in different levels with the different packages involved. Please note that this review reflects the sales process only. I havent had any work done at this point, but my confidence level is high.I see a lot of reviews on Google stating that Nu Look estimates were coming in at nearly double of other contractors. That was not my experience, at all.I had three estimates done and Nu Look beat them all. The estimate provided by Nu Look included the premium roof package and two door replacements. To be straight forward, their estimate for that work came in $3000 less than one contractor wanted for JUST the roof.I see a lot of negative comments about sales tactics. Sure, the presentation may have been a bit long, but we were engaged the entire time. Whats more, this is a massive investment and I appreciated the time Chadd took and his attention to details.A message for Pat Fingles: if your install team is as good as Chadd, I have no doubt I will be more than satisfied with the installation.Ill follow up post-install to relay my experience and satisfaction.

Nu Look replaced the roof on our home on 05/11/2020. Throughout the process, the entire staff was friendly, professional, timely, and respectful. They are not the least expensive company by any means, but the quality of product and installation provided certainly makes the cost worth it. I would recommend their services and will consider Nu Look for any future exterior projects on my home.

They have warranty on materials and work! That second one is important. Theyll give you the best deal if you sign up right away. Do your comparison shopping first before you make an appointment to get the best deal. Straightforward good service. I will update when work is done and again in the spring.Update: work is done.
