I always have a wonderful experience getting my nails done here. You should make an appointment because they are a small family run business with only 4 workers.

The owner Ann, runs this bsusiness with pride and hands on. She does everything possible in cusotmer service and professionalism - even turning walk in away to wait on a reserved client apt that shows up late! Always greets you with a smiile and remembers your name. Now not to mention - perfection and quality work!

The entire team at Star Nails work SO incredibly hard! Very admirable. They are very kind, accommodating and take their time giving you great service. The prices are reasonable as well. Kim and Don have been doing my nails for over 10+ years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Vicky has always done my nails, although Tre has assisted. The shop is very clean, they are very professional and do an excellent job. To get the best service you need to schedule your appointment to not be asked to wait or turned away. They do walk ins but you must understand that there are appointments already scheduled. I recommend this shop to anyone looking to have their nails done.

I get pedicures and gel polish on my natural nails. We have never been rushed. I will never allow anyone other than star nails to do my nails. Their prices are great too! I just cant say enough good things about them. Kim does my nails and she is always amazing! Vicki makes my appointments when needed and is the best!!! I have been going here since they opened!!!

My mom and I have been going here consistently for about 8 years now. I have tried just about every nail salon in town and swear by Star Nails. They have the BEST prices for quality of service. The $25 standard pedicure is better and longer lasting than any other pedicure in town, and the $40 deluxe is an hour long treat. The salon is not showy or frilly, but consistently does a great job. I have now referred all my friends from downtown and they all are sold and drive to Irmo for this salon.Keep in mind they have consistent appointments with their regulars so I would only recommend making an appointment to visit, not walking in. I usually book a day in advance or the morning of for an afternoon appointment.

Star Nails is the best! She always makes sure my nails are perfect before I leave. I have been coming to this nail salon for 18 years. I strongly recommend Star Nails. Vicki does the dip powder on my nails and she does a fabulous job!!!💙👍🏻💜

This is the best nail salon...hands down!! I have been going here since they opened(19yrs)!! Don does the SNS dip for me in a French manicure! He’s fabulous! Don, Kim, Vicki and Tre are all very professional and hard workers. Even when I lived in NC for 8yrs, I would drive down here to get my nails done at this salon!!! The best in Columbia by far!! Ridiculous.i work right across the street and I walk there twice on lunch to get my nails done. First time I made a appointment and they was not ready to take me. This time I came n at 538 n they close at 6 WEBSITE SAID 7 but lady said she wanted to leave at 6 so she couldnt do a fill In. I explained I wakkew there. Wouldve had a loyal customer because it is convenient for me beside my job. NEVER WILL I SPEND MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE

Very rude staff and racist. I did get my nails done once there i and when i was picking my color out, the older lady would not let me pick my color out myself. She watched me like a hawk so i went to different section and she follow. Very uncomfortable experience. Beside my better judgment, i went back TWICE and both times upon walking in they tell me that they can not do my nails bc its too busy. Mind you its only 3 people currently being serviced. I will not be returning.

Im an African-American female, and every single time I go to this place to get nail service, its always some excuse as to why they cant do my nails. So I end up driving further than I want to in order to get my nails done. I can do them my self because I, myself am a Nail Technician, but because my children have breathing problems I cant do my nails at home. Last night was the final straw with me, but I called this morning to see if they would fit me in. I was trying to give them a chance. All I needed was a nail repair because my nail cracked and I didnt want to drive all the way to Forest Drive to my normal nail salon. Now me being a nail tech, i know that you have to do acrylic nails to get your license. So why this man lies in my face saying only two people in the shop are the only ones that can fix my nail but theyre busy. REALLY!!!! If I was Caucasian they wouldve fix my nail. RACISM at best!!!!!!!!! Dont go to this salon, theyre unprofessional and they will get their Karma. They get ZERO stars from me the only reason why I chose one star is to post this review!

This was my first time here and I loved it! I don’t know her name but I believe the woman was the owner she was older. I made an appointment in advance as a friend suggested to do and arrived 10 minutes early and was immediately sat. There were only 4 people and four nail techs I didn’t mind that she periodically set up things for other customers while my gel was setting in the light. I viewed that as efficient and care for the customers time. Despite that she took her time on my nails paying close attention to my cuticles, she was light on my hand no pain and shaped the nails nicely. She put at least two coats of everything which I REALLY liked, they weren’t stingy and they put a lot of other products on my hands/ nails and made sure the gel was set before letting me leave. It was quiet and relaxing and the price is great! $25 for a gel manicure normally go to DK Nails but from now on will go here.

They are racists! They told me they weren’t excepting anyone else today because they had to close the store down early due to family reasons. Right after she told me that a white woman came in and she told her to sit down and wait for her to help her other customers then Proceeded to do her nails without an appointment!!!

I had a pleasant experience. I would come back here. They were friendly, spoke English well, and did not work in a rushed mode. Ot was my first time experiencing pedicure tub liners and I enjoyed it. They dried my feet using fans and spray cans instead of UV light. Found that to be a bit interesting. They have plenty of OPI colors to choose from any that your heart desires. I asked for a rhinestone design and they did not skimp out on the rhinestones. The price point for everything was perfect. Im satisfied.

REALLY wanted to like this place, as they were so nice. Thats the only reason for an extra star. Came in for acrylic nails. Left white marks on some of my nails next to my cuticle. Cuticles werent even pushed back or trimmed. Bubbles all through-out acrylic, Ive had them less than a week and they are growing out BAD and the acrylic is chipping at the bottom. Not to mention I got a french manicure with black tips which were simply painted and thats wearing away quickly. Nails are not even, just overall not good. I was really excited to treat myself for the first time in a long time and I get this :-/. Nails look terrible :(. $35 wasted...($25 for acrylic + $5 for nail polish and $5 tip because I paid before they were finished..)

Had a mani/pedi here,the staff were all efficient and did a great job. Kim who did my nails was lovely but didnt speak much English. I cant speak her language at all so! I will go back again for sure.

This was hands down the single worst pedicure experience Ive ever had. To label the guy a nail tech would be a compliment but his lack of skills wont allow me to reference him as such. The person that worked on my feet had zero knowledge or skill on how to perform a pedicure and I was in and out in 15 minutes with dry skin remaining on my feet and subpar nail polish. One toe isnt even covered completely! I plan to leave a complaint daily online for 30 days! Im furious!

I am an African-American female. Walked into this business and before the door was closed the owner gave me a fake smile and tells me that they are too busy to help me. The lady did not ask me if I wanted to wait or what I wanted. I tried to give this place another chance after previously being looked down on by the owner. However these people are the definition of racist!

Terrible place, the worst nail place I have ever been to, the one in Walmart is BETTER. My nails were all miss shaped and the white tips were crooked.. and this was for me WEDDING DAY! I didnt have time or the money to pay to have them redone so I just made sure I didnt let anyone look to close at my hands. My sister also go hers done, she got the gel nails and they looked SOOOOO fake and ridiculous! I felt bad for taking her there! Long story short, I will NEVER go here again and I will discourage other patrons from going there as well, also customer service SUCKED ppl were rude and not very focused.
