I have difficulty applying for my benefits and now when i go there you have to make appointment alot of last minute changes due to this covid-19 hopefully things get back to normal afterwhile

The attendance staff at this office have always been kind & give me advice as to what they can tell me. HOWEVER, theyre put in place to deal with the public & the people who can really help are in the tall building across the street . BUT, you cant talk to the people in the tall building in person. They have security officer that blocks you at the door. I felt like I was tryna find the Great Wizard of Oz.So messed up _ still didnt get answers to the questions

They couldnt help me there. The people in the computer room dont work with unemployment. They still directed me to call the 866 number. Lord have Mercy

This place does not help people get no job. I think they just post jobs on that lil website for the hell of it.. . The unemployment office never answer the phone, you can never get a live person on the phone. I applied for unemployment over a month ago and still waiting on my benefits.. . South Carolina is old fashion and SLOW!! I cannot wait to move from this slow state!

These agencies in South Carolina are a joke. I thought that unemployment fights for the employee and not the employer I was wrong. No matter how the employers are not prepared in the appeals hearing and do not have their information correct the agency still rules in their favor. What is the purpose of fighting for money that you worked for if you cannot receive it SMH in tears.

My experience was awesome. I see all the bad reviews but what most people fail to realize is that Your attitude matters just as much as theirs does. I went in smiling and came out within 40 minutes still smiling. Mr Sims is a very professional and funny guy. He helped me by answering all my questions and did it with a smile. Thank you Mr Sims.

I have had nothing less than an awesome experience when I have visited the employment office. I am always greeted professionally and someone has clearly directed in the right direction each time Ive had to visit the office. The young lady Yogini working on my case is phenomenal! My life has been handing me some pretty ripe lemons and job loss can be pretty stressful and cause a lot of fear and anxiety but the caseworker Yogini has made the process so much easier to cope with. Yogini has been professional and courteous. She is also very prompt and lets you know she is there to help each step of the way. I didnt know what or how to do what I needed but she helped me in more ways than she will ever know. Yogini is truly a Godsend. It is not often I would take the time to write a review about public services but sometimes when something goes right and when people or a service is doing what they should, someone should know about it.

This is the worst website ever. Someone needs to fix this issue. It should not take 30 minutes to load this web page. In the public libraries, SC works campus, and at home there are messages stating waiting for scworks or waiting for cache. IM LIVID! Cant get anything done.

The whole place is a joke. It is very clear that there is a huge backlog and a lot of miscommunication among the employees. Anybody that gave this place 5 stars is a liar and works there. Dont let the 5 stars fool you; this place is def worth less than one star. Second guess everyone when you deal with anyone there.

Came here for volunteer tax prep, and as the previous reviewer mentioned, the girl who works at the front desk is very rude.I came the day before and was told they only do tax prep on Thursdays (even though the schedule online says differently) and for me to be there at 5:00. I got off work early and was there at 4:45, and was then told I should have been there at 4:00 or earlier if I wanted help.She clicked her teeth at me and talked to me like I was an idiot.I’ve used the free UW tax prep there for the last three years for tax help, but will not be returning thanks to the rude, inept SC Works staff.

This place is very unprofessional!!!!! I was fired from my job in June and Im still trying to get unemployment. They hold you hostage down there for hours at a time and then tell you they will contact you through the mail. I have a family and a mortgage and we are living off of the generosity of others because they dont give a crap. They have the attitude like, you need me, I dont need you.

Never answers the phone. Literally called every hour on the hour and never got an answer. Went to the website and they dont even have contact emails. Very unprofessional. Also, when visiting the two black women that work at the front are always very short and rude with everyone. Needs new management ASAP.

There is a woman working there that is extremely rude. I dont know her name bit she works in the lab at the first desk and has a horrible attitude problem.

This agency is working for the employer and against employees. Unprofessional, unfriendly, and a fraud for unemployment.They will do anything to not give unemployment and always judge in favor for the employer.
