My first visit at Total Dental Care was Phenomenal! The staff was Super Friendly and Compassionate! It was very comforting to know that Dr. Forbes has been a dentist for over 20+ years and it shows! He put my worries to rest and made me you feel at ease, -very knowledgeable in his profession!!

We have been going to Dr. Forbes for years since my daughter was 5 years old she is 18 now. We came in today for a dental emergency after talking on the phone with the receptionist. No one called us back so we went in. There was some billing issues we took care of and she told us she will put us down for 3pm and talk to the dr and give us a call back. That never happened. My daughter was in pain when she came in and left in pain. At 245 we called back to see whats going for her to tell us Im gonna put u down for 11 tomorrow. What!!. Dental emergency. So whether or not he can see her or not a call would have been appreciated so we can make other arrangements. The service was terrible terrible. Maybe we were mind readers and just think we were coming in tomorrow for an appointment. I took off work for all this. All Christmas weekend my daughter couldnt eat or sleep with this toothache. My God where is the customer service. Yany or whatever that receptionist name is, get another job because thats not your field dealing with people. Im finding another doctor, just terrible, absolutely disappointed 😡.

First time going here today and the experience was way more than I expected! I was very pleased of ALL of the staff. Very pleasant and inviting. I’m not a big people person but I felt more then Comfortable. Jonathan who cleaned my teeth was amazing. Mr. Z did my fill in, which I was terrified and he assured me I would not feel a thing and I didn’t ! Definitely making this my dental home. Highly recommended.

Today, I visited Total Dental Care for the second time. The staff was outstanding including Dr.Z. He made the procedure at ease explained the process throughout the steps. I wasnt as scared as I normally would be. I had an event attend on this day and I didnt want to show up to that event with a crack tooth. He fixed that one tooth, as though, it was never cracked. I was so pleased! I went to my event and shared my experience with others. I highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking professionals, caring staff and no pain during procedures.

The Staff is horrible, rude, and like to argue with customers. RUN STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THEY MAKE YOU WAIT HOURS BEFORE YOU ARE SEEN AND THEY FORGET YOU HAVE APPOINTMENT. I WOULD GIVE THEM A 00000000000000000!!!

Dr Forbes is heaven sent. He provides pain free treatment with everything he does. This is my family dentist now. He did 5 fillings on me today, I was so comfortable, I almost fell asleep. His technique is wonderful. I’m returning in two weeks to finish my fillings and then he will be doing my implants

Dental assistant and Dentist are very nice and professional. However the billing department there has a shady and questionable way of handling new patient claims. Also communication is very poor for mistakes on their end.A review by Charles 10 months ago is pretty accurate.

The service I received was the BEST I have ever had a the Dentist! Dr.Forbes and his staff is so knowledgeable about your teeth and they kept me informed every step of the way... I had a tooth extraction yesterday and it was so painless I didn’t even know the tooth was out of my mouth! I almost fell asleep weird but kind of relaxing. I don’t have insurance but everything was very affordable and I’m so thankful and happy with the service provided. This was an emergency for me to have this done but I will be switching to Dr.Forbes! :)

I always feel like I am in good hands with Dr Forbes. He is very honest and trustworthy. He cares about his patients and he is affordable. I have been his patient for the past 18 years. He makes sure that his work is done with expertise. You dont have to worry about him doing a poor job in your mouth. He takes pride in his ability to repair your smile.

Nice office, they have massage chairs. Erica, the hygienist, did a great job cleaning my teeth. The before ad after pictures are cool. The wait was a little long but for respectable reasons. The staff made the wait comfortable though. Hopefully the dentists solution works for my teeth. Thanks!

Today was my first time visiting Total Dental Care but it will not be my last! Dr. Latorre made me feel very at ease and provided excellent treatment! He explained all procedures thoroughly and what I should feel during the extraction. Its great to know I have found a dentist who is not only skilled, but really connects with his patients in an understanding, professional, and non-judgmental way. He even called back later that day to make sure I was doing okay, which very few doctors actually do! His assistant, Allie, was just as awesome! Great personality and explained my treatment plan thoroughly. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone needing dental services- you will not be disappointed with the services you receive from this wonderful staff!

I have had very bad experiences with dentists in the past, so I am very happy to have finally found one I trust! Dr. Forbes went above and beyond to explain to me why my teeth are the way they are, and he devised a plan for me to improve my dental health. He also offered numerous ways to ease my anxiety about dental work, and his nurses gave me constant reassurance...AND a blanket! I would recommend this place time and time again.

Went in for consultation and the receptionist told me I didnt have an appointment after I spoke with the dentist himself. She then told me I would have to file my own insurance! I have double coverage dental, BCBS federal and this place doesnt want it. Please go some where else unless you want to do the receptionists job. Absolutely unprofessional, I dont work in the dental insurance billing field, please dentists make your receptionist do her job instead of sending business away.

I normally don’t do reviews but in this case, I had to make an exception. The day before Thanksgiving I had a toothache to end all toothaches while visiting my grandmother out of state. I crossed my fingers and called Total Dental Care. They were able to see me the SAME day. Quick, accurate, and efficient are understatements. Professional and friendly doesnt even begin to describe the excellent service I received. I Highly recommend them.

Before I didn’t like going to the dentist,I had a bad experience as a child but going to Total Dentist had changed that view for me. The staff is very nice and Dr. Forbes is amazing, once the numb starts to work I feel no pain just alittle pressure which is normal and I have had a lot of extractions.

Recently got a wisdom tooth pulled here. For me it was so quick and painless I really didnt notice it was out until the Dr. Forbes said. There wasnt any pain in the days following. For my first extraction it was a very good experience. However, a few days prior to that I visited for a routine tooth cleaning and they took x-rays. I thought it was apart of the process and price (around $140) since this was only my second time here but it wasnt. They added $60 on top of the $140 I was quoted but I should have asked the purpose of these x-rays. And now in hindsight I did get this cleaning a few days before one of my wisdom was pulled so they may have been nessicary. I think a little clarification could have been given but still overall and great experience.

I came here after reading all the good reviews and I was very satisfied. The ambience is clean and the workers are professional. I was very happy with the way I was treated by the very friendly staff and Dr. Forbes. I came in with a chipped front tooth and was very nervous about how it would look after I got it done. The doctors work was perfect! First I explained to him that I was worried about how my tooth would look, after all it is the front most seen tooth. Then I talk to him about the needle that would be done for numbing. I am very afraid of needles and asked for the numbing gel to kick in a minute or two before the needle. The doctor did just as I asked and I didnt even feel a pinch. Then he meticulously worked on my front tooth and it turned out just the way I wanted.I also got my teeth cleaned by the dental hygiene and my teeth were literally glowing. She too worked very meticulously and was very informative. I left with a very happy smile! :)

I have never been a big fan of going to the dentist office. But, I must say, I love going to Total Dental Care of South Carolina. The staff is wonderful, the dental technicians are wonderful, Dr. Forbes is Outstanding! Dr. Forbes and his technician are both very efficient and adorable!

The people at the front desk don’t know what type of insurance can be used and when asked 3 times if tricare was able to be used they said yes but when going to pay for appointment I had to pay full price because apparently they do t use tricare and of course it’s the clients fault and the client is the one paying for their mistake. The dentist that did my teeth was great though.

Dr Forbes and his staff were able to work me in as a new patient on a Friday with a dental emergency. He was very thorough in explaining my dental issues and lined out a step by step plan to address them and spread out financial responsibility, as I do not have dental insurance. He and his staff were welcoming and friendly, and were understanding of my situation and my anxiety about the dentist. I have definitely found a new dentist office.

I went into them straight off the street and was in terrible pain. They took care of me immediately. They gave me the kind of care a compassionate doctor gives his patients. I just got the first part of my dental implant. The staff there are very kind and talked me through the entire process and did everything to alleviate my fears and make me feel comfortable. At one point there was a problem with the scheduling, but I really look forward to going back and finishing the implant process. Before the implant they also talked me through all the options to determine what would be best for me and my situation and the prices are very reasonable.Update: My dental implant is finished and I couldnt be happier with the results. Dr Forbes did such an outstanding job throughout the whole process.

I have had all my original fillings replaced by Doctor ForbesI also had a crown installed two years ago and I consider it my favorite tooth.I did have some cold sensitivity for a few months but that went away on its own.I will be getting my first implant this Friday after Thanksgiving and cant wait.I notice that every negative review in this page has been written by people with middle eastern names or Indian names. I find that very suspicious .

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called to find out the total of the dental implant that I was having done that day, and they said they couldnt do it today (although I planned this appointment two weeks ago and even received a follow up call a few days before to ensure I was still coming. Thankfully I called the morning of because I never got a call to reschedule or anything. NEVER going back here again.

Horrible dental office. I made a dentist appointment and the dentist cancelled Aug 9th. The website says they take walk-ins. I signed in and sat in the lobby for an hour while no one greeted me or checked me in. Several employees saw me and did not say hello. An hour later a woman named Ashley appears and tells me that due to construction in the building it took her one hour to get to the front desk from the back. She then told me I couldnt be seen that day they were booked. It was 1pm.There were no patients in the lobby when I came or left. There was no compassion, they staff is unprofessional and uninterested in serving African-American customers. They didnt want my business.

Ive only been there twice but the experience was great. There since of humor was great. I felt welcome from the time I entered the door until the time I left.

Dr Latorre is great, Ive been going to him for a while and I have to put it out there, his work is great. Ive dealt with lots of pain and incorrect work through other dentist but Dr Latorre puts that in the past. Other than the usual stick from a needle or slight pain / soreness the next day, the work is great and my mouth feels normal. I hope he stays around for a long time!

I wish I didnt have to rate and give any stars. I will say that Dr. Forbes is great however his front office staff is horrible. I had an appointment on 6-6 at 4:20pm, I arrived at 4:16pm. When I arrived no receptionist was at the front desk. I signed in with my name only. Most sign in sheets ask for your name, appt time, arrival time, and Dr you are seeing if more than 1 Dr practice in an office. This sheet ask for name address and phone # why I dont not know, because as a patient you would think they have this information! I sat in the waiting area with 4 other patients, 2 were called and me and another patient continued to wait. The receptionist mysteriously appeared at 4:46pm and advised me that I would have to be re-scheduled due to being late. I said excuse me! she said your appt was at 4:10pm, I showed her my appt card which clearly shows 4:20, then she said the Dr had an emergency you will have to be rescheduled. if this was the case the receptionist should have been at the desk when I arrived to tell me the Dr is running behind, and at that point inform me to reschedule, not let a patient sit for 25-30min the waiting room to falsely accuse them of being late. office staff needs customer service training and makes this place of business look awful. I will never return here. Complete unprofessionalism at this place they are too busy outside smoking cigarettes instead of greeting patients and having someone at the desk. When my tooth ached tremendously and I needed to have that back tooth extracted, my existing dentist could not fit me in for 2 weeks! I found Total Dental Care online and they fit me in the very next day, even though I was not an existing patient. Their empathy, professionalism and bed side manner ruined me for other dentist! LOL I cannot go back to where I came from, and now I trust them with all my dental care. I would highly recommend, Dr. Torree (sp?) is WONDERFUL!

After my first filling ever I had such bad pain, I had to return within 24 hrs. Turns out there was a massive abscess in my jaw that Wasnt noticed on the X-rays that were taken before the filling. Now, two oral surgeons later, I just couldnt return. This should have been recognized in the first place. Now Ive paid for a filling that was taken out and two invasive surgeries. Hard to imagine someone missing something that was so obvious to two other doctors.

They really try to help the patients recieve the best care possible and do their best to work out an affordable pmt plan for self pay patients!! We wont go to anybody else!!
