We reached out to MTD services June 2020, after a short discussion with Todd in what we envisioned for our project we felt comfortable he understood what we were trying to achieve and agreed on a price and signed a contract. Work began just after the holiday first week in July. Todd’s crews were diligent and very accommodating to my questions and suggestions during the remodel process. Overall I am extremely pleased with the end result, and I have not once needed to reach back to Todd for repairs or corrections in workmanship since the project has been completed. Saying that, I was very diligent in overseeing the construction process the entire way. I would promptly inform Todd of any errors, he agreed and would make corrections immediately. Even though the project took a solid year to complete. Some delays were understandable COVID material delays ie. Window..other delays were from Subs not being available. Again, all could have been due to COVID… or waiting on the County and permitting. My only frustration during this process was the communication and lack of transparency. Often times we were left in the dark waiting days and weeks on when the next sub was going to show up. There were a couple times we were left with the question “Did Todd and MTD walk on us?”When the project manager George showed we would get conflicting information of what he said would get done vs. what was actually getting done. I feel if I hadn’t been so involved with the remodel process we would have not received what we had originally envisioned.I want to make mention that Chris one of MTD’s finish carpenters/ do-it-all guy was the saving grace to every element! His dedication to doing the job right the first time even questions my abilities. He communicated directly with me on so many elements ie picking out fixtures and hardware to delays or changes. He often was the guy to correct other Subs poor workmanship. He was the key person in us continuing to have faith in MTD. When Chris pulls up to your house, rest assured you are in good hands.Would I use MTD services again? ABSOLUTELY!One thing Todd told us back in June 2020. He said he wouldn’t leave us! And even though it took longer than he had promised (6 Weeks original project estimate) he did not leave. Right now in the home construction industry what a customer at a minimum needs is there contractor not to walk out on them! Thank you Todd and thank you MTD!And the last thing I would like to add. Todd stayed true to the contracted price as well as we stayed true to our requests. We had NO changes from what we originally agreed upon. That is remarkable over this past year with lumber prices so volatile.Thank you again!
Todd was extremely responsive and communicated well which is everything when construction. I was very pleased with MTDs services. We built an outdoor kitchen and I couldnt be happier. It looks fantastic. Very clean and courteous contractors. I highly recommend MTD.
Very professional company to work with. We had to renovate our bathroom due to water damage. It was awesome how MTD Services made our vision a reality. Doing renovations during COVID presented some challenges, however MTD always kept us informed every step of the way. We Hhghly recommend the quality craftsmanship of MTD Services.
So far the customer service has been excellent, Todd has been very responsive. Within a couple of weeks of signing with MTD, they were out measuring. Good pricing and easy to work with, so far. Keep you posted. No pun intended...lolVery efficient! about 2 weeks ago, demolition was completed. Plumber comes tomorrow. Todd is a man of his work and will work hard to get the job done as he agreed. I will try to upload some pictures of the process. The bathroom is complete. It took about about 6 wks. The workers were consistent. No long wait between contracts and Todd kept me abreast of the schedule. I am EXTREMELY happy with the results. I told him what I wanted in the beginning with no changes and it looks like my vision. Kudos MTD!
MTD remodeled my whole 1960s ranch house. After four quotes and a lot of research I choose MDT to redo my house inside and out. Painted whole house, new windows, doors, shutters and rock columns to replace 60s metal porch post. Inside they took down four walls, replaces bad beams in attic, replace cabinets and appliances, refloored the whole house and redid walls and painted. Being medical retired from the police department with a terminal illness they worked around my schedules. There were days the full crew would show up to work and would leave because I was not able to take the construction noise. They even worked evenings and nights when my sleep schedule was upside down. Finding several unforeseen problems, like pine beetles in attic joist, Todd worked with me to keep in budget and never took away from the over all project. The project did take longer than projected due to the Windows I wanted were on back order and the unforeseen beetles, but most of the waiting was MDT waiting for me do to my health. I never recommend people or companies but in the case of Todd and his company I recommend 100%. They are good honest people and do a fine job. If you are looking at MTD and would Iike to see their work or have questions from someone that they did a huge project for I have told Todd to give my reference info anytime.
Called for an estimate on roof/chimney work and set it up for a Weds. Rain caused them to cancel (completely understandable)so Friday was rescheduled. Took time off work on Friday and 45 mins before the appointment the guy calls and cancels because another employee went home early. Not the person I had the appointment with, but a completely different employee went home early. So the guy says I will be there on Monday I promise and goes on to say that he will call first thing Monday morning to let me know what time. So, needless to say on Tuesday I call the guy and he gives 3 different excuses and says he would be here Weds (7 days later than the original appt). Weds arrives and the guy actually shows up.... for 10 mins.... with a child. He looks around writes down a few things and says Todd will call me on Thursday with the price quote. At this point I went ahead and left a similar review to this one on MTDs facebook page. So 6 days later and still no call about the estimate I call the tech who briefly stopped by to get Todds number since no one answers the main business number. Todd sends me a copy of the estimate via text message, then sends a separate text telling me to add 400 dollars to it with no explanation why. Guess that was the negative facebook review fee. Already had another highly recommended company come by and give a quote for 380 less and no drama, so I will be hiring them for the job.
Please do not buy into his lies. One year out and job still not done and we are having to pay people to fix his shappy work. Job paid in full and will NOT refund our money. Not a honest businessman or person.
At the end of April we had estimates to rennovate our bathroom. We quickly found out renovating a bathroom was much more expensive than we thought it would be. After reviewing three estimates, we hired MTD Services because other contractors told us it would take a month or so to complete and quite frankly came across very arrogant in regards to their high estimates....Todd of MTD Serviceson the other hand, told us it would take at least 1 -1/2 weeks, but should be complete in 2 weeks and he guarnteed his estimate regardless of higher hidden costs he may incur. Once his crew began the job on the 2nd of June, it was not complete until the 13th of July.... an entire 6 weeks from demo to finish. Now that was 4 weeks longer than we were told upfront..you can imagine the stress we felt at the time? Well its been an entire month now since the job was complete and WE LOVE OUR BATHROOM! All in all, Todd and his crew (Steve and Rhett) are good people and they do their best to do quality work and stay within budget. Ive been on this earth long enough to know there are unforeseen things that happen that can cause things to not always go the way you plan them.... I think Todd still has much to learn about scheduling, and I would recommend he spend more time visiting and overseeing his jobs (thats why you hire a contractor), but MTD Services will complete the work you hire for and Todd will do his best to ensure you are happy with the final outcome. Just BE PATIENT. If you have a die hard set date for the work to be complete; you should know a short timeframe completion date may not be met. I am a bit disappointed Todd; you didnt trust me to give you a fair review on Facebook. Before hiring you, I had the ability to comment and/or share on your site, but after I found I had been blocked. The pictures we took were amazing and I thought it showed off the workmanship of your crew very well. I wish you well in your business and hope others will give you a chance. I did appreciate most of all, we didnt feel like you were robbing us blind; Ive talked to others with much smaller bathrooms than ours and most have paid at least $20K and upwards. You worked with us and made our budget of less than $15K work for us.
