I made a post on the community page asking where I should take my kiddo for her first ever, professional hair cut. Most everyone recommended Maupins. My daughters hair is beautiful and service was great. I was expecting a higher price at checkout, so I was happy to leave a good tip. We will absolutely be back for all future services.

I came in to have my pixie cut trimmed up (cause its where my best friend goes) and ended up with the best haircut Ive had all year. Im gonna be honest. I did NOT expect that from a barber shop. Its been a few months and although it could use the edges trimmed up its grown out great. Lays nice and didnt go all mushroomy. 100% will drive the 2 hours from my house to get my hair cut here again.

I love everything about this place. The service was amazing, I didnt have to wait for my appointment as Mandy was running right on time, there is a great spot for kids to hang out while you are getting your hair done. My son was not with me, but I know now that he could come if needed and would have a fun little spot to hang out. She is AMAZING at doing hair, as I knew her before she opened this place and she had done my hair before. SHE ALSO ROCKS THE WAX! Need your brows done or your lip waxed, let her do it! Amazing! Mandy is very friendly and is very good with her customers. The prices are totally reasonable and not overpriced like other salons. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! You will not leave unsatisfied! I will definitely be returning as a regular customer!

These ladies are amazing! Sara works wonders with womens hair, highly recommend giving her a basic idea of what you want and tell her to do what she thinks... More compliments since she cut my hair a few months ago than in years before, wont go anywhere else!

The owner is super friendly. She can tell you the funniest stories that will keep you entertained through the whole cut. Price is fair. If youre ever unhappy, she will correct the problem. Hardworking and cuts my hair better than anyone else in town. I saw her cut a childs hair and made him comfortable with the clippers before she even started.

Have been going to Maupin’s for over an year or two... one thing I know for sure is that I AM NEVER GONNA GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I always have a fantastic experience, they make you feel like you are part of their family and genuinely care about you and your hair. Great people, great service, great place. Oh also, i never walked out disappointed with my haircut.

The best barbershop I’ve been to hands down, I travel for work and am constantly out of state for weeks or months at a time. I always try and wait until I get back to Missouri to go see them. They bring back the original barbershop feel!

This is owned by one of the most wonderful ladies I have met, and also one of the most talented. Both ladies currently working there are down right amazing and fantastic at what they do. I had an amazing experience at this barber shop. The barber was a kind stylist that asked a lot of in-depth questions. For example, when i asked for a low shadow fade, she asked what i meant because low shadow fade can be interpreted differently. This is the first time a barber asked me what i meant and expected, so she greatly increased the likelihood i would like the haircut. I recommend this shop to my friends and co-workers

Maupins Barber Stylist IS absolutely the best in town! She has done my familys hair and is always on top of the latest techniques and styles. She is a true professional and a perfectionist. Maupins is amazing! We always get in quickly and they do amazing with my boys. My youngest was very apprehensive about his haircut but they made it fun and easy for him.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have tried SO many high-end salons in Columbia and never left with my cut (fade/taper) feeling 100% like what I wanted. Mandy is the real deal... especially if you are wanting a fade/taper. Combine the quality cut with the cost of Maupins, and it really is a steal. What made me give Maupins a try was the FB page. I thought, If she can cut all of these designs into peoples hair, certainly she can do a solid fade. Boy, was I right. Havent gone anywhere else since.

So glad I found this salon! These ladies are all great and this will be my only go to hair place from now on.

I got in at 4:20PM on Wednesday and they refused to cut my hair because they close at 5pm. Change your hours to 4pm if that’s the case, it’s ridiculous to waste customers time because you want to leave early. They’ve done this to other people as well while I’ve been in there. Wouldn’t recommend them, simply unprofessional and unreliable.
