MY CAR HAD A CUTE BOW AND I WAS ABLE TO WALK THE RED CARPET!!! 😊I had told Joe of my unsuccessful trips to my local Hyundai dealerships in Greenville and he offered me a great deal on my new 2022 Hyundai Kona Limited. The rest of the staff at Peacock were so friendly, we hopped out of the car and were automatically greeted. I am so thankful and happy with my new car.I will definitely be back in a few years when I want to upgrade.
I was out of town and my girlfriend took my 2020 Hyundai for a regular oil change and tire rotation. When She drove off, the car was making a loud noise and all 5 wheel bolts came off from passenger side. Turns out the service staff did not tighten the bolts at all. The car was dragging for a couple of seconds and ended up lying flat, she had to pick up the bolts from the road and run back to the service building. The service team was plain rude with her until I interfered and spoke with them. They said the store manager was “not there and he will call me the next day” only to receive an email from him later that day saying that he was there but was busy working with another customer. Tried to call him again later the next day and they said he was not there and no call back. My girlfriend just got her drivers license and is currently refusing to drive again after this experience. We are so glad it didn’t happen on the highway going 60-70 mph. See attached pictures.Law suit in in progress.
Scheduling service for my vehicle was great. In and out time was great. Desk personnel were courteous, professional, and efficient. The facilities are great. My sole disappointment was my car was returned to me without even a courtesy vacuum, wet as if someone had thrown a bucket of water on it. My car was returned to me reeking of tobacco and I am a non-smoking asthmatic.
I was looking for a nice ride and Mr Lee Wiggins show us around. He worked with us for a couple of days, gave us time to think over our decision and found the perfect ride, but even when I changed my mind he still went to the extreme to help me and give me peace of mind. I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for new or used cars they are in very nice condition even if the used and ask for Mr Lee. He will do anything in his power to help you, make you feel comfortable and make you feel at home. The rest of the team are very welcoming and specially Mr dinkie Ward in the financial part of the dealership, he will do everything he can to help you too. I had been putting off for a while to bring in my 2015 Hyundai Veloster for the recall services. I am so glad I took my car in! The rattling and screeching I heard when I would break is gone. I came to Peacock Hyundai to simply get some information on a used car. A few hours later I drove off in my 2022 Tuscan, which I never expected and I love!! And NO there was no pressure. In fact, I appreciated deeply Nolans laid back style that didnt pepper me with questions or push anything on me. That space to explore and think opened the door to something unexpected! The rest of the experience was respectful and professional. Im now high on Hyundai Peacock style!
Inconsiderate and poor customer service. Traveling from an hour away, spoke to multiple people about coming to look at specific vehicle the morning of and prior only to arrive and vehicle was being looked at by another person. I was late to the appointment (I own my fault) but instead of confirming that I was still on my way, even after speaking with them that morning, they showed the vehicle to someone else. The person ultimately refused the vehicle but I had driven to another dealership about to purchase another brand vehicle when I received the notification. Before I got back to look at the original vehicle at Peacock that I wanted, they were already showing it to another person!!! I would neither reccomend the dealership nor its staff. Common courtesy is lacking and the staff exude the stereotypical cars salesmen vibe of being untrustworthy, unhelpful and self-absorbed. The experience should have been happy for me and my family but instead was stressful, aggravating and left us feeling disrespected. We couldnt leave quick enough; so much so that I didnt get a walk through of all the new features in the vehicle. Id rather read the entire manual, watch videos and/or not use features altogether then stay any longer; note I had to ask for the minimal demo that I received. I would not run my business this way and expect raving fans or return customers. I will never return.
We went to see what used cars they had on the lot and came across a beautiful 2020 Jeep. It was priced to move quickly. So low we drove off with it. 😊 Jessie was one of the best Car Salesman Ive encountered. He was friendly,easy to talk to and professional. Before the purchase of the jeep he was helpful finding exactly what I wanted in my price range. When the Jeep was the final decision, Jessie had all the paperwork laid out and ready with everything you needed to help you decide if you wanted to the finalize the deal.As your waiting you have access to complimentary water,snacks, expresso and or coffee.Once the deal is signed and finalized you actually receive red carpet treatment. Ive never in all my years of buying vehicles at any dealership, have been treated with that special treatment. Buying a vehicle at Peacock Hyundai was actually a fun experience. Next time Im on the market to purchase a vehicle. This will be my 1st stop.
False advertisement!! These people are liars! Online they have a Hyundai Santa Fe SEL convenience package with 10 miles on it. I contacted the dealership they sent me a invoice for the vehicle I seen online with the same vin number! For the same price I seen online at $29k. On the invoice a posted below this Hyundai Santa Fe SEL up with the convenience package has 10 miles on it. Tell me why I go to the dealership and this vehicle actually have 2000 miles plus on it. And they have risen the price. The sales person Ramon knew I was coming for the vehicle at that invoice price that he sent me I drove four hours just to get this vehicle and it turns out to be a lie. After I called him a liar . The dealership even went as far as to change the price of the vehicle on their actual website to cover their lie! This place is disgusting and I will be reporting them to better Business Bureau. Please do not believe their excusesHyundai peacock Columbia if you try to delete this review I am going to post it again and this company will be reported!
Awesome experience on 8/2/21. Was working with Jackson in the service dept. Took vehicle in for scheduled recall work. After I left, I noticed a problem after I got a few miles away. Turned around & went back. Jackson did some research & discovered a hood malfunction (which is apparently common with the model I have). Anyway, it was fixed speedily & I was on my way. The customer service at this location is top notch. I just moved here from Charleston & am so happy that Ill be working with this dealership from here on out.
Cant even get an oil change. When we bought our car in 2017, the dealership was owned by Jim Hudson. Excellent service then. After it became Peacock, service has gone downhill. Went in to get an oil change and have to have an appointment weeks out. My time is valuable as well. There are other Hyundai dealers around and I wont be going back to Peacock. And no Im not emailing you. If you were really concerned about my business, you have my information already. Now because of your terrible service I have to drive 60 miles round trip to get my oil changed.
Service advisor Jackson always does a great job for us. Service technician Brandon went over and above to troubleshoot a problem for us with great success. Always a pleasure in this service department; and we have been told that we service our vehicle more than most owners.
I received great service from both Nick and Christian while shopping for a new car this summer. Nick was very thorough in answering my questions about the different safety features and automated driving features on their new models. The sales people were easily accessible via phone or text and made shopping around a pleasant experience.
As always I received excellent customer service at Peacock Hyundai of Columbia. The technicians and staff are first rate. My 2010 Accent is in great condition. I highly recommend them!
Dog and Pony Show! They had 3 prices advertised for the same vehicle (2021 Palisade) - 2 of which were their own websites! They would not honor any of them! Their Market Markup was $2700. In the end, it was $1700 variance and I was paying cash. So I went to Stivers and got even a better deal on a 2022. Kyle question the validity of what I told him, until I sent him a copy of the sales receipt!

Sales rep ( Kyle ) very nice and helpful. Found car we wanted and helped us procure it.When we went to finance office, the finance manager was more interested in quizzing us about things that we did not know, and we’re not reviewed with by Kyle. He had no idea this would happen. We got very frustrated over the questions, and lost focus.Then the finance manager threw numbers about extra coverage that were Very Evasive. Every time I ask about a total cost, he slid into another topic. What was implied as an extra $20.00 a month, ended up at $43.00 a month. Another coverage was extended warranty on added maintenance coverage, and again, he never actually gave total cost. Very slick at not answering total numbers.When time came to sign papers, he slid each copy to sign or initial and quickly removed to next copy. For the total extra cost of $2500.00, we feel like we were slipped a real slick pitch. Until we read all the copies that were in our packet, we never knew the cost of the two additional policies. Shame on me for not demanding time to read all the forms that he kept sliding in front of me. But rest assured that we will never come back, and we will warn all of our friends about how slick and fast your finance manager is.Ken & Vicky Hadley

My car was done in a timely manner and when I did call to ask about the recall on my car I had no problems. The mechanics, the staff, the service department and the parts department all were so polite and patient and that truly made the difference. In the near future if I was to purchase another vehicle it would be from them, Hyundai peacock.

Wow!!! Before going into Peacock Hyundai, I was a first time car buyer and I was very nervous about going car shopping. I had an attempt at purchasing a car at another dealership a year prior but it was the worst experience of my life. Peacock Hyundai (and Jesse!!) made my car buying experience so much easier and surprisingly enjoyable! Jesse is a wonderful salesman and he is incredibly funny and down to earth. Excellent experience from start to finish. We visited Peacock Hyundai to conduct a test drive of the Santa Fe and explained we were not looking to purchase that day, and did not want a “hard sell” experience. Jessie Wright was fantastic! He quickly identified the trim level that would fit our needs and budget and set up the test drive. We then left. Jesse later contacted us about a potentially great deal on a higher trim 2020 model. He provided pictures and all relevant information, as well as a no-haggle bottom-line price. Our experience to finalize the deal went just as smoothly. Needless to say, we are extremely pleased with Peacock Hyundai, their GM, Finance Manager and salesman. At every step, we were treated with courtesy and professionalism, and never pressured. My first visit to Peacock Hyundai was for a recall. My service advisor, Jackson Roberts was very thorough and very professional. He explained the process for testing my vehicle would be 2 to 2.5 hours. The car was washed prior to returning to me. What a nice perk for going to Peacock.The service repair tech used plastic and floor covering while in my vehicle.This was a pleasant experience. I will use Peacock in the future for all my repair and service needs.

This was my first car purchase, so although I did a lot of research beforehand, it was nice to have a salesperson that really wanted the best for you. If you’re ever visiting and you’re hoping to buy a car, they’re a pretty small, welcoming community for all!
Very fun experience. The last car I bought was all done online. The inperson presence made the difference between what I actually wanted, and what I got from pictures. Nicolas has a great attitude and I am glad that I was able to come in.
The Service Department has very sorry service and customer service follow up. I brought my vehicle in for service on 6-11-21 and provided my own oil. I left 7 quarts of oil in the passenger floor board, knowing It was more than enough to service my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. When I picked it up there was no left over oil. I asked where the extra oil was, they went and looked and came back and said that the tech said there was only 6 quarts in the floor board. I was told I would get a call from there service manager so I could discuss this with him, I have not received any calls. Also the tech left a mess in the engine compartment, he spilled oil and there was oil splatter all over everything. Would not recommend taking your vehicle here for service!

0/10 would not recommend. I bought my 2021 Hyundai Sonata about two months and still have not received my license plate so I’m riding around with an expired paper tag with no ETA of when my plate will be here. When I called to inquire about it, they told me they have been waiting on extra documents for me that we provided ALREADY when purchasing the car. However, still no one contacted me saying these were needed until I CALLED. Now I’m getting a letter on the car I traded in saying that my license is about to be suspended because there is no insurance on that car. Whoever does their paperwork end, is terrible and unorganized.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING A CAR HERE!!!
I bought new 2021 Hyundai Elantra from Peacock Hyundai and I had an amazing experience! Jessie was the best salesman Ive ever encountered, he was extremely knowledgeable about the car I wanted and he made my test drive experience one of the best Ive ever had. My husband and I did a lot of research and I went to several other car lots before settling on a Santa Fe from this dealership. Since it was going to be my car, I knew what I wanted and asked a lot of questions. Being a knowledgeable female, I feel the playing field and negotiating power was a bit more challenging then if I were a man under the same circumstances. That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Nolan and his sales manager answered all my questions thoroughly. Once the sales talk was over, I drove home with my new Santa Fe and am very happy with the car.

Im so impressed by their service department! I took my Hyundai in on Wednesday with the check engine light on, not knowing I should have had an appointment, because the car had been running rough for two days. I was asked to wait for a little while to see if they could fit in a diagnostic for me.... and they were able to, less than an hour later. Was told that I needed a new third cylinder, new sparkplugs and a fuel system cleaning....ugh. They had all the parts needed and were able to take care of my car that same day, even though they were short a few techs that day, and I was out of there by mid-afternoon. I highly recommend Peacock Hyundai on Greystone Blvd but itll be with an appointment this time, since I know its needed now. I was a very lucky lady that day and they went beyond good service to help me and my car stay on the road!

This experience was mostly distressing. I drove to Columbia because the service I received prior to Peacock purchasing the Hyundai dealership was always exceptional. The first communication I received from the service department after I left my car said I could check on the progress by going to the link. I did and there was never an update. I never received a phone call. When I realized that if I didn’t go to get my car the shop would be closed. My sister took me to get the car and the shop was dark at 6 pm. I had to stay an extra night and go back the next day. I am a diehard Hyundai owner, this being my fifth Hyundai.
I carried my new car the peacock Hyundai in Columbia and it was a good experience. Everyone was very helpful and was a clean comfortable environment. I plan on carrying my car back to Peacock for all services.

Joe gave me a ride to the dealership because I had my daughters car. They always go above and beyond to insure everyone stays as a repeat customer. I had a pretty good buying experience with Peacock Hyundai when I bought my 2017 Hyundai Azera. It was my first time buying a car from a dealership, and Christian really took that into account when helping me by answering my endless questions. He made sure I had all the information I needed about the vehicle, maintenance, warranties, payments, etc. The owner made sure that I was happy and comfortable while completing paperwork, and even shopped around himself to find the best interest rate for me. The other employees were extremely hospitable and kind as well. I had to return to the dealership to finish up paperwork, and Jessie was a big help with making sure I got everything handled in a timely manner. I am very pleased with my purchase; my car runs perfectly and is in great condition. If I had to complain about anything at Peacock Hyundai, I’d just say that are not good at car detailing, so I’d just wait and do that part yourself. Otherwise, everything else went smoothly and I would definitely considering buying a car here with Christian in the future.
I had a fantastic experience yesterday with Joe Delmege. Joe helped me buy a car that I really like, and I felt like I got a great deal. He even worked with me long distance from Raleigh. Happy with the car and will definitely send friends to him!
Worst customer service. Nobody is answering the phone calls. Even their service manager Aaron Shepard is not responding his emails at all. First they said my car’s engine needed a coil packs and cleaning. Next day they called me and said engine had electrical problems because of that they had to do another diagnostic. 3rd day they said my car needed a new engine ???????. After that everyday I tried to reach them out and called at least 10 times a day and send several emails nobody called me back or replied to my emails. Last, they charged me $273.00 for putting only one coil pack. I took my car to my friend’s garage in Atlanta and having them fix it with way less money than what they asked me over there. Think twice before you take your car to this dealership. I am also perusing my complaint through Hyundai’s cooperate office. Horrible people and horrible service.
Nick Franco my man, I didn’t buy a car because of personal reasons, but the up most respect you showed my wife and I was out of this world! Peacock has probably one of the best salesman I’ve ever seen and I truly appreciate the transparency and truly believed I was gonna get a great deal. But you understood my situation and that’s why I will be referring anyone I know In the market to you. I felt bad for wasting his time but I just wasn’t prepared! Thanks again to the peacock family!
My salesperson was great!! Literally, I completed applications, test drive, agreed to financing & keys in hand within 2hrs. I love my new vehicle. Most importantly, my salesperson listened to what I wanted. Oh the most unforgettable moments is all the other salespersons congratulated me & the red carpet & bow on my new vehicle. My experience with Peacock Hyundai 310 Greystone Blvd, Columbia, SC 29210 was horrible and very unprofessional. My car was towed in on 6/22/2021 for mechanical issues. I spoke with a Joey and was told he would be handling my problem. As of 7/5/2021 I never received an email or phone call or any update. On 7/6/2021 I drove down asked for Manager and was told the service dept was in between Managers at that time and led me over to the parts dept to speak with Patrick Quattlebaum. I spoke with Mr. Quattlebaum who was very professional and apologetic bout my concern and told me he would get my car in immediately. At 5:04 pm, I received a call from Joey and he said they had diagnosed problem as engine failure which was covered under warranty. He stated parts had been ordered and service should take around 10-15 days to complete and he would call me. On 7/21 I received a survey requesting me to rate my experience and service with Peacock Hyundai. Well that alerted me to call in and check on the progress because I have not heard or spoken to anyone since 7/05/2021. I made several nine phone calls, left messages with Joey and finally spoke to a young lady in the parts dept on 7/23 at 4:26 pm and she stated that my car had been completed several days ago, still no one had emailed nor called me. Upon picking my car up on 7/24 around 8:30 am I spoke to Rachel and I requested to speak to a Manager and was told Mr. Quattlebaum was no longer over service and she tried calling several Managers and to no avail was able to reach anyone. My car was a mess when I picked it up, I mean trashed from the front glove compartment, armrest, to the backflooring. A bag of trash left with oil spilling, everything taken out of armrest, and glove compartment. The hood will not stay up, back glass is not visible to see out of, having to reset clock everytime I turn off the car. Rachel came out took a look and apologized and was told she would have a Manage to call me on Monday morning 7/26/2021. I am now waiting on an explanation for this type of treatment. I have never experienced this type of service from Hyundai since Ive owned this car. If I had to purchase another one, I would not and I do not appreciate the service experience that I have received thus far. Their business have really downgraded.

This is a fully transparent review, I didnt receive anything for it, and it is 100% my opinion, based on my experience with Nick at Peacock Hyundai in Columbia.I can be difficult at times, and was back and forth on buying a car, looking dealer to dealer to compare pricing and options... Nick was never pushy or forceful like a lot of salesmen are. He was helpful and patient with me, told me he could get me what I wanted and would be the best price, and if I decide to come check it out, then cool.When it comes to price, on a new car there is only so much room to work, so you cant expect to negotiate a new car like a used one, so knowing that, I knew that the price difference dealer to dealer would not be huge, but hey, every little bit helps, right? I knew exactly the color combo and package option I wanted, and Peacock was the cheapest out the door for those specs out of 5 dealers I visited. Now, honestly after the fact I noticed some savings came from not including a first aid kit, which was $30, and the cargo net vs the cargo tray/rack, which was a $70 or $80 difference.. but those were things I was going to try to get removed anyway, because I dont really care for them, and dont see the need in paying extra for them. Their dealer fees were cheaper than the others, so that was cool, because this is an area a lot of dealers will place b.s charges to make more money. Also, the discount they offered off of msrp was more than the other dealers. (I wont mention what the exact number the dealer fees were, or what the discount was, because this could possibly change due to vehicle, price, promotions, etc, and I dont want to be that guy)Ill close by saying this.. I absolutely hate car shopping, I hate dealerships, salesmen, etc. The whole game they play, the back and forth, feeling like youre treading water waiting on a shark attack.... I didnt experience any of that with Peacock. It was very laid back in a hey, if I can help you out, thats great, if not, no pressure kind of way. If or when I am ever in the market for another vehicle, I would definitely visit Peacock again. I still have to wait and see how the after the sale customer service is, when I take the car in for the services and what not, but I can update this review at that time.
Great staff and fair prices. Bought my first manual car here but at the time didn’t know how to drive manual very well. In the test drive the guy with me was very patient and was helping me feel more comfortable. It took a while to get used to but it made what I thought was going to be a stressful experience into a pretty good time.
The salesman, Nicholas, wasnt pushy and was very helpful. The buying process was streamlined and everyone was very nice, they really made the experience special.
Its unfortunate I didnt have a chance to experience the service first hand from this business. I have attempted for several days to reach someone by phone to find out about pricing for a service. After several calls, I finally received a live person, asked my question, was placed on hold and transferred back to the main options and ultimately to be sent to a voice-mail. Due to health issues, time, covid restrictions and the distance to this dealership, just going to them without making contact isnt an option. When a business isnt accessible over several days via phone, it questions their ability to adequately perform services. Not only do I have to travel to a further dealership for service on my sons vehicle but Ill also need to make the purchase for my daughters car from another as well.
Kyle was my salesperson. He’s the BEST! Kyle listened to my wants/needs in a new vehicle, and he delivered. He literally gets a 10 all around from me. I’m glad that I came to you all for my forever car!
Very disappointing service experience. I was told when scheduling it would be 90 minutes to 2 hr appt. Confirmed at drop off-staff member said it may be “a little more than 2 hours but will get it done asap”. After 3 1/2 hrs I tried to phone for an update. 11 calls, I left 3 messages over another hour. I FINALLY was able to speak with some who told me “Oh yea it’s complete.”Very Frustrated-extremely poor customer service.Follow up: I emailed the manager 8 days ago after receiving mailings from Hyundai that the recall and oil change that I had taken my car in for, is overdue. Wondering if my actual service was done? Still no answer to my email.
Was having a issue with my key not coming out of my ignition, went to a different hyundai location they told me they couldn’t even look at my car until June first and told me they thought it was something that was going to cost me a couple hundred dollars. So I decided to give peacock hyundai a call and see what they could do for me. Cory (in the service department) answered the phone told me he thought it was something different (much cheaper fix) and to come right in and they would take a look. I went up there and Cory fixed my problem within 30 minutes! Great customer service! Will definitely be going back!
I called Peacock Hyundai after dealing with a very upsetting situation at Stivers and asked for a salesperson. Lee Wiggins came to the phone on Friday, 4/23/21 and asked how he could help me. I explained my situation, my must haves and the amount I wanted to stick with. He stated that hed spoken with his GM and they were looking around to get my Hyundai Palisade shipped to the lot on Saturday, 4/24/21. Lee made sure that I was updated through the entire process of which vehicle and color I would be getting and what location it was coming from. He called me and asked if I was in town around 4pm on Saturday, 4/24/21 in which I told him that I was headed back that way. He said, I got your truck from Stivers and Im headed back to Peacock, meet me there. I went there signed my papers and was able to bring my Sadie home. Lee was awesome, he made the whole process so simple and smooth for me. I recommend him to anyone who asks. Hes definitely a man of his word.
I so highly recommended this Hyundai dealership over the others in Columbia. Hassle free experience from first contact with Nicolas right through the financial guy. No pressure experience. Go buy a car from these folks!!

I absolutely loved working with Nick Franco. He did not hassle or harass me during my purchase and got me exactly what I asked for. I appreciate his patience and professionalism. The only problem I had was with the Manager Joe. I came in with my pre-approval and requested that I only be submitted to the bank I requested. Joe assured me he would only submit the application to that bank however within a few minutes of submittal, my phone started showing credit inquiry alerts. I later found out that Joe, against my request and agreement, had submitted my application to not only the bank I came in pre-approved with but also 5 other banks. I now have 5 hard inquiries on my credit report for all bureaus that Im not happy with. Its only been 11 days since my purchase but hopefully the dealership will send payment to my previous lender to pay off my vehicle that they purchased from me, I can only hope it goes quickly so that Im not held responsible or a late payment thats beyond my control added to my report. Other than that, Im pretty pleased with the service Nick provided.
Have fun trying to reach them. My 2015 sonata engine completely shut down as I was still driving near Columbia. I called my tow guy and dropped off my vehicle to the closest hyundai dealership on June 16th and it has now been exactly 2 weeks since it’s been there. I have not heard a single thing about it, just some stupid link from Jackson about my “vehicle status” and a phone number that I can call to reach a peacock hyundai in Hilton Head. I called them on June 25th, 13 times, left 2 voicemails for 2 different people, didn’t hear back from them. Called them exactly 30 times today (June 30th), no one picked up any of my calls. This is absolutely ridiculous that I will have to go inside the store to ask what’s going with my vehicle.Edit: received a call the next morning of this review from Jack, but still no direct status on my vehicle yet. Updated from a 1 star to 3 stars for the polite and professional customer service after actually being able to talk to someone.
