Immaculate service. Knowledgeable auto mechanics and the customer service is by far the best. They honored my warranty and made timely repairs. Volkswagens can be a headache, but they got me squared away with two optimal repairs and I havent had any problems since!

The waiting area was so cozy. Staff super nice. Service took longer than I expected (an hour to change one tire) but I enjoyed my time there.

I had my first experience with the team at Minnies last week and I was not disappointed. My partner has been taking her car here for years and always had a great experience. Mine was no different. They were diligent and quick at locating the problem with my car. They also informed me of other issues that were both present and future problems. There was no pressure to do anything more than the minimum to get me back on the road, but I decided to take care of everything. AMAZING. I went here after seeing an article in the paper. As a 21 yr old female and being ripped off by other auto mechanics I thought this mechanic suited me. Went to Minnie’s got my distributor fixed cost only $100 for my Honda Accord 96. Took less than to about an hour. Really polite and nice people. My friend who needed her AC looked at also left her car. They diagnosed the problem and called her ahead of time regarding the price. They also fixed a engine exhaust rattle for free that other mechanics were going to charge $200 for. Very polite, nice, helpful and efficient. Don’t try to rip you off with prices or added extras

I had my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan 60,000 mile service performed at Minnies. Loved the service from the initial point of contact via email all the way through the service process. The dealership (will remain nameless) service person brushed me off and treated me as if I didnt need to have my van serviced, which I knew was totally incorrect. Found Minnies through the F-Suite magazine. SO GLAD I FOUND THEM!!!! Great service, great prices, great staff. The mechanic (name started with a K but I cant remember, SORRY) listened to a concern I had, explained to me the process of investigating and then how to move forward with dealing with it. Lindsey was great and made sure I understood everything. I will now make them my official auto service shop and I will also be getting my sons vehicle serviced through them as well. Loved the waiting area!! Very welcoming, clean, comfortable. Made me feel like I was at home in my own living room!

LOVE this place. Places like NTB have tried to charge me $60 for an oil change but Minnie’s prices are reasonable and they don’t try to up-sell you. They were honest and up front about the good condition of my car. And they were SO nice- even when I was a little late picking up my car and they had to stay a few minutes over. Minnies did a GREAT job replacing the power rack and pinion on my 06 Envoy XL. The mechanic was VERY knowledgeable and professional. And the office manager kept me in the loop all the way. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience at Minnies Auto Repair. We are now working with lawyers to work to make amends.We had our car towed to Minnies after it was overheating and needed a new water pump. After being quoted a bunch of different repairs totalling 1300 dollars we asked if just replacing the water pump would solve the issues at hand (totalling 600 dollars). They said yes so we proceeded. When we got our car back the check engine light came on and code read that the timing belt was misaligned (this was a piece they had to remove to get to the water pump). When we called and asked them to either repair or help pay for the cost of the extra 600 dollars we would have to pay at another place to get it put back on properly, they refused to work with us at all and dismissed us. Now we have had to pay 600 dollars for Minnies Repair and 600 dollars to another auto shop to fix what they did incorrectly.Please consider looking elsewhere for an honest and trustworthy car repair.

We are new to the area and were in desperate need of a auto shop and have been given the run around in the past and my wife is a teacher and was told about this place and this morning i had my car towed over there thinking it was going to cost us over a few hundred dollars well it only cost us 65 bucks i know for a fact if we went anywhere else it could have been alot more it was for too much oil in the car due to me being a dummy i have a 2014 ford escape. now minnies is the best place in irmo columbia and all of SC if you dont ho here you are making the biggest mistake in life when it comes to your car they made me feel right at home like i have been coming here forever they care about you not your wallet you are treated like family i was n tears when i left and so was my wife when i got home once again thank you for making this family happy again and we will be customers for life ❤️❤️👍

My wife took her car here for a water pump replacement. Ten minutes after getting the car back, the check engine light came on. We had it diagnosed by our mechanic at home (we broke down in Columbia and had to drive back) and it turned out that the timing belt (which they had to remove and put back on) was put on incorrectly. After calling them and describing the issue, Sarah was dismissive and ended up hanging up on us. Our mechanic at home (30+ years of experience) showed us the timing belt and stated that a timing belt of its age would never become misaligned by itself.Very dishonest, would not recommend. This set us back approx $1300 in total since we had to get it properly repaired after the fact. We are currently working with our lawyer to sort out this situation.I would stay away from this place and find another local, more honest garage around.

Been going to these folks (formerly Mickies) for over 2 decades now. Reliable, thorough, honest - as skilled as they are knowledgeable. They love what they do and they appreciate their customers. Most of the time I get my car out the same day it goes in. If they find something while working on your vehicle, they actually call you see if you want to go ahead and fix it while they have the hood up rather than let it slide for later visit. They price their work fairly. Its peace of mind to know they are the ones working on my vehicles. They dont even mind that I bring my own preferred oil/filters for oil change service.

Just the best front desk people ever. Made my experience painless. Same day repairs, great communication, prices were honest and appropriate. My only drawback was that the mechanic left the interior of my van messy and didnt put the equipment back. Other than that very minor detail (and honestly they were working on my van up until closing to make it same day), would definitely recommend them

Problem with my truck was explained, price quoted, asked if I wanted it fixed or return to previous place that had fixed it before (no, I had it fixed at Minnies). Staff was very friendly. Waiting area was comfortable. Found other repairs needing to be done, given in the ordered they needed to be repaired, and was given a quote. Absolutely no pressure to schedule repairs. People are nice but prices are too high. $100 an hr. for diagnostic machine and they still couldnt find the problem. They called and asked for 2 more hours. I took my car elsewhere. I payed $184 with car in the same shape..Not working. Another shop fixed my car the next day.

Minnies is the sister business to Mickeys auto repair which has now sadly closed its doors. My husband and I have been going to them for car maintenance and issues for almost 15 years and they have never let us down once. And Minnies upholds that commitment to service and excellence.

These people dont have a clue what they are doing. They had me sitting all day to fix a leak and I drive home and transmission fluid is pouring out of my car. Its missing bolts and everything. What the hell are you people running here? Absolutely unacceptable and definitely need to get an attorney involved.

I switched to Minnies Auto Repair after having less than desirable service at the McDaniels Subaru Dealership. From the moment I walked in at Minnies, I felt welcomed. The waiting area is inviting and comfortable. I received frequent updates about the status of my service. My one complaint it that there was a little of a wait getting a part delivered, but that is something outside of their control. Diana (front desk) and the owner were more than happy to come answer any questions I had and explain in detail what was being done to my car. I would strongly recommend Minnies to anyone and will definitely be back!

After a huge debacle with the tow company getting our vehicle there, we had the most WONDERFUL experience. They were friendly and prompt. Put our mind at ease and discussed price upfront. They pulled it right in, diagnosed the problem (which was a hose) and instead of waiting for the piece to be delivered, a sweet young girl even RAN (literally) across the street to a parts store to grab a hose to finish it up. We are grateful for the exquisite customer service and plan to move all of our auto mechanic needs to this one shop! Huge plus, the waiting area is beautiful, bohemian, relaxing and smells divine!

There are a great deal of high marks for this mechanic; however I would not recommend them. They have had my car now on multiple occasions regarding service. First was a transmission issue which they did not catch and was found by GMC after Minnies could not determine the issue. The second was an AC issue which they temporarily fixed but it went out 2 months later. The car is a 2015.

I am so happy to have finally found a place I feel comfortable taking my car to. I met everyone looking at my car, and then Sarah sat down with me and explained what would need to be serviced in the future. Luckily nothing was wrong with my car but if something happens I am confident that they will take care of it professionally and compassionately.

Better than I expected! (I am often disappointed with auto repair places.) They were clear about timing. They called me to confirm work I wanted done, and explained the possibilities and benefits of doing the work now versus leaving it undone until later, with pictures texted to me so I could see what they found. They werent pushy and I could decide comfortably which work I felt needed to be done now (for budgeting).They have where I can see my service record online (although Ill still keep papers in my files, anything available digitally is a plus when Im out so often). They were professional and kind. And their price was fair and the work was good. Ill definitely be taking this car back there.

Took my car in to Minnies for a once-over, just to check out some things I had been hearing/experiencing. They did full diagnostic which resulted in no need for any repair; gave me some advice; and didnt charge me ANYTHING!! Now thats what I call customer service. I highly recommend them and will go back when necessary.

As a former Mickies customer, when it closed I had to try out Minnies which I did not even know about. Well I can report I was not disappointed. The women who work the desk are very friendly and helpful. I knew my old truck had a serious problem and that I had to get if fixed before I drove it again. So they got me in asap and initially had trouble getting it to reveal the symptom but the mechanic did not give up ( a good sign). After getting it heated up, alas the wheels started pulling to one or the other side. Diagnosis is the biggest challenge in my experience. From there it was my turn to bite the bullet and having the brakes and associated parts replaced was a costly but fair-priced job. In addition the mechanic looked at the shocks and they are in need of replacement. Another job for the future. I dont drive it much so I was grateful to learn this and not be told I had to have it done or ??? Thanks for this, Minnies. I love the waiting area (Mickies had no room). I wasnt there long enough to check if they had hot as well as cold beverages available. I got spoiled at my dealers since they even have cookies, etc. in the am. I will be back and can recommend Minnies. I dont say this lightly (which you will know if you ever see my reviews on Travelocity) so take advantage of a business that is consumer friendly and by my count honest in serving all of us. I had an incident on the highway that involved two semi-tractor trailers merging unlawfully (no turn signals from two different directions) into my left & right side of my handicap access van. There was debris in the road ahead, and I had no choice but hit the debris. The debris cracked the fuel pump.I had the vehicle towed and filed an insurance claim.Within 48 hours, Minnies had replaced the damaged fuel pump, worked with my insurance company and my claim was paid in full and I had my vehicle back for transporting my elderly mother.Thank you again!

I went to get my oil change and y’all told me i needed a new battery, and that was the reason why my check engine light was on. I went to the nearest autozone and they checked my battery and said it was a perfectly good battery considering it was already a new battery. plus my papa, a mechanic, said battery problems have no correlation to the engine light.
