I had prior issues with my alignment, and the mechanic shop back home seemed to make it worse. However, Woodys just finished my alignment and its perfect! Not only are they extremely knowledgeable, but friendly and welcoming as well. They made sure that I received the best possible care, and for that Im so grateful. This is now my go-to auto shop!!!

Worked on it right away to get us going again! He routinely kept me updated on status and options instead of us wondering or having to contact him. Thanks so much Mike and team!!!!Awesome service!

Out of town for our wedding and get a flat tire. Before traveling, we noticed we had tire issues and got it looked at by other repair shops and they did not spot anything. Once near Columbia, our tire gave out again. We knew no one or any businesses near by and had the car towed to Woody’s by a luck of chance. Mike was super reliable, fast, and honorable. He took the tire off and showed me the two nails in the tire. John in the front office was awesome, too. Thank you for the peace of mind and a great experience in such a tough position!! I wish there was a Woody’s near my home!

We were traveling from out of town and our truck broke down half a mile from Woodys. They were able to take our vehicle in and assess the repairs quickly. They gave us a fair price for the needed repairs and were able to get us back on the road quickly. I wish that we had a repair shop in our hometown with the efficiency and customer service practices that we experienced at Woodys. GREAT JOB Mike and John! Thank you!Ill recommend you and your shop All Day Long!

My daughter is in college in Columbia and she wrecked her car, Im several hours away so I was very worried about someone working on her car when I cant be there. Mike was awesome through the whole process and did a fantastic job at a fair price for the amount of work that had to be done.. I have not met him in person but I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable mechanic. Thanks again for everything Mike.

On the way back to IL from Denver, CO, my girlfriend and I hit something on the road that bent both rims on the passenger side in a way that left us with two flat tires. After having been stuck in a blizzard for two days on the way to Denver this was the last thing we needed. Luckily we had AAA and were able to get towed 140 miles from Olathe, KS to Woodys Auto Center in Columbia, MO. After two late hours in the truck we put ourselves up at a motel expecting to hear nothing but bad news the next morning. Upon explaining the situation to Mike, he assured me they would do everything they could to get me on the road before the end of the day. Still not totally convinced I went back to the motel room. Although good news was the tires werent damaged (dont ask me how) it didnt look good as far as price and availability for the rims. New/Used ones were 1-3 days out and it was expected to be a $600-$1000 repair. Mike came through for us in the end and was able to get a metal worker to get the kinks out of the rims for half the lowest original projected cost. It was obvious that these guys cared about the customer and the work they did without trying to rip you off. In the bind we were in they had every chance to take advantage of our situation and instead did everything in their power to send us on our way as quickly and cheaply as possible. Im not normally one to write reviews but after my experience at Woodys I felt compelled to pay their kindness forward, they more than deserve it.

Mike and Ari are the best! Theyve saved me on more than one occasion. They worked on my car last year over 4th of July and just this week. Great customer service is hard to get these days and Im just amazed at how professional and nice they are. Being a young female I did not feel like they were taking advantage of that at all, they are very understanding and great at explaining things. I even accidentally turned in my apartment keys along with my car keys right before the weekend so I left them a message and they got them back to me the next day. I am so grateful for them especially for getting my car fixed and back to me quicker than I ever expected. Thank you so much for everything!

I couldnt be happier with Woodys Auto Center. John and Mike help myself and daughter after our car died just 12 hours before we had to leave for Kentucky. We had our car towed to Woodys and Mike was able to squeeze us in to diagnose, evaluate & expedite the repair. His knowledge of auto repair was evident as he was able to interpret the computer codes that were inconclusive, but successfully recommended the right repair. Gratefully, we were able to make it to Kentucky without issue and our Pontiac G6 is running great. THANKS to Mike for the expertise. And thanks to John who is one of the most patient and helpful front office managers Ive ever dealt with -- GREAT JOB !!!!

Will definitely be my first choice with any of my cars in the future.

After trying multiple mechanics in Columbia, my wife and I have taken our cars exclusively to Woodys for the last three years. Mike, the owner, is incredibly honest and hardworking. This Thanksgiving eve, he stayed beyond the shops closing time to personally attend to an oil leak. Not only that, but he cleaned the spark plug wells and resealed the gasket at no cost to us because he couldnt get the part he needed in time. Woodys is worth every penny!

Their service is wonderful they do what they say theyre going to do and they take very good will of your vehicle and their prices aint too bad if you are a AAA member because you get discounts. And when they tell you that day give you a deadline of when your vehicle will be done they follow that deadline. All I know is I plan on taking my vehicle back there they did a wonderful job. I recommend this place.

My vehicles transmission had been acting strange an i figured it was time to change the transmission fluid (after that my vehicle ran like a champ again). while it did take a little bit of time they explained why as well as offered to have me wait in a nice waiting area with refreshments. They also did a courtesy check over my vehicle and told me everything that was wrong with it and what needed to be fixed to pass my next inspection without being pushy about them needing to fix it. I will be using them from now on. Thank you.

We took our car to get it checked out before our cross-country trip. The Trip Check cost $95 off the top without making any repairs. They are incredibly slow. I took my car in for a 9 a.m. appointment on a Friday. They didnt even look at it until 3:30 that day and closed at 5 p.m. They found numerous problems, so we asked what absolutely needed to be done for our trip. I told them what I wanted. They said the car would be done Monday afternoon, especially since theyre closed on Saturdays. I called on Monday and they still werent done. They finally finished the car on Tuesday. When I went to pick it up, they were going to charge me more than what we had agreed to, which was $1200. I had to correct them on their math. They did charge me the agreed upon price, but called it something like a customer grace refund, even though the problem was on their end. Then, while we were driving cross country, we started having car troubles. We ended up having to spend more money and half a day out of our trip to determine what was wrong and get it fixed. It turns out, the car was low on transmission fluid. That is something that any garage doing a trip check, oil change and tune-up on a vehicle should check for.I would not recommend this garage to anyone.

Totally lame... Should have read reviews, before givinginto the fear of being stranded.I was traveling around the country, and on one morningwhile in Columbia, My Honda Accord started with difficulty.I turned the key, and nothing, did it a few more times, nothing, turned off the radio, AC, tried once more, and it started.Decided, that I should have it checked out, and after callinga few places, who were booked solid found Woodys (now I knowwhy they were not solidly booked). They took a look at it,FOR $50.00!, and told Me I needed My starter motor replaced, and that it would be $344.00 (a $49.00 starter marked up to $99.00,plus labor). The work was completed, I was told about the 2 yearwarranty on parts and labor, and sent on My way. Next morning, same thing, when I went to start the car! worried I would not make ithome, I drove straight through, back to Connecticut, and gave thema call... Long story short, the warranty covers the starter, which isntfaulty, and I was totally taken advantage of, having paid for a fairlymajor, totally unnecessary repair. It turned out to be a bad ignitionswitch, which cost Me less than $60.00 to have repaired, and I ambasically S.O.L.. My only recourse is to hope that an unwittingconsumer will read this, and go someplace else...

I went in to get my AC diagnosed. The first time they said 30-45 minutes but it ended up being over 2 hours. They found no codes and the freon checked out so I scheduled another diag. They said that it probably wasnt the compressor to which I agreed because a faulty compressor is likely to output a code. After the second round of testing they claimed that it is the compressor. I was confused but agreed to have the work done anyways. They said that they would email or call me for the estimate. Again strange as I have never had a shop not be able to give an estimate in more than a few minutes. I asked for an email so I could get the numbers in hand. The following week I called and asked about the email and they said that they would send it by the end of the day. I waited a day and called back again and the guy blamed his email system. It felt like a jerk around so I asked that they provide me with absolute evidence that it is the AC compressor so that when I take it to the next shop I dont have to pay for diagnostics or just refund my money. He said that it would be useless to provide me with the info because another shop would just do diagnostics anyways. I asked for a refund and he said that he would have someone call me in a bit. Nobody ever called.I sincerely believe that they never even looked at my car. Im taking my car to Dents Unlimited for everything now.

I would like to highly recommend Woodys Auto Center. An unknown light came on in my car while I was driving from St. Louis to Columbia for a business trip. I contacted Woodys Auto Center, they gave me recommendations for a hotel to stay at while I waited for them to check it out. The next day they tested it and gave me a full report that there was no serious problem and the car was safe to drive. Mike, the owner even drove to the hotel to pick me up to get the car. They were so kind and reassuring during a stressful time. I cannot thank them enough.

Took the car in for what I thought might be alternator repair, they said they found the brake pads were worn out and would have to be replaced They only mentioned that the pads themselves were the part that needed fixing in the over the phone estimate. The wording their mechanic used made it sound like an additional 100, which I agreed to. They took this as a cue to do 500 worth of repairs on the whole brake system. TLDR, if they feel like they can take advantage of you they will. P.S. they have disabled the review feature on their facebook page... wonder why...

Mike is the greatest! He not only listened to my concerns about my car, but he took the time to listen to/for the noise I was talking about to make sure we were on the same page. The price quote he gave me was spot on for the things he had listed to fix. He also reviewed a few other things with me when I picked up my car. Most places always try to upsell you on services, I felt Mike truly wanted to make sure I knew about the small things he pointed out and didnt bat an eye when I said I would work on them myself. I never felt any pressure to have more done than I wanted.

We were traveling across country in a Westfalia campervan when we broke down in the middle of nowhere. Called AAA . Took a 100 mile tow to Woodys, getting there at 5:15 P.M. Wednesday night. Not only did they lock the van in a secure area, but the owner, Mike, personally drove us across town to a motel that better fit our needs. The next day, they diagnosed the problem and arranged to have the necessary parts flown in. Once again, Mike provided us with the transportation. We were back on the road by Friday evening. They were extremely friendly, polite and went above and beyond to get us on the road again. We were able to drive to Maine without any further problems. I would not hesitate to go to Woodys again (if I was in the area) and would definitely recommend the business to others. Thanks, Mike.
