We have 2 cars with a month bill of 150.00 Added two used cars for my kids to my policy. 170 a month extra. When the bill came it was 500 a month?. I called as why there was such a difference in price quoted to the actual bill I have they explain my original two cars increased. To 325 a month. I said why no tickets or accidents. He then went on to explain adding the two additional cars increased my original two car policy. I said why? And why wasnβt this expressed to me. He could not answer. But did say this is the way bundle and save works. You pay higher rate for the first car then you get discounts as each car is added. I even have my house insurance with them. So much for bundle and save. Iβll be searching for another company to use.
Bad insurance coverage dropped coverage because of my accidents that were not my fault
Let me start by saying, I have had progressive as my only vehicle insurance for a little over 12 years, and I absolutely love them!My rates are very reasonable, but my rates are not the only reason I have stayed with this company. Another reason, and probably the most important reason, is that they have been extremely good to me as an insurance company.They are always polite and kind when I have claims; they are equally efficient and expedient.Honestly, I will not even shop around for rates because I am so happy with the service I have received that I have no desire to change companies just to save a little money. Im going to stick around with progressive because they have always done right by me.

I love progressive they have always been nice to me. I just spoke with a customer service representative named Timothy he was so kind and patient with me. He did not have a problem with me asking or explaining something to me that I was unclear about. Then on top of that he gave me an entire scenario to make sure I understood and when you work customer service that is very important. They really try to cheat you when you file a claim. If your vehicle is worth $15,000 they will offer you $8,000.
Would actually give zero stars but thatβs not an option. Worst customer service you could possibly receive. Their rates are way too high. I cancelled my insurance policy with them on the 9th, they decided not to proceed with the cancellation till the 16th, a whole week later. But they did take it upon themselves to take out over $450 from my account after the cancellation was sent over. They then say they will refund the amount that was paid, however they wonβt give the entire amount back that they owe. To further, they wouldnβt release the refund till the 23rd, a whole other week. I asked when the money is supposed to be in my account and they told me the 26th. However itβs still not in the account and now theyβre saying βwell give it till tomorrow then callβ. Thatβs all I got. They are useless and just take peoples money. When you call you get directed to people that just started and have no idea what theyβre doing so have fun being on hold for an hour and still get no information.
Too bad zero stars is not an option. Thankfully, this is not, nor ever will be, our insurance carrier. My family and I are dealing with them because of an automobile wreck caused by one of their customers. Their claims agents are extremely rude. They are not willing to make sure things are made right when it was their customer who was at complete fault. They are also very hard to get responses from in a timely manner. Do NOT use this company.
If I could give zero stars I would. This is the most crooked insurance company I have ever worked with. They lie about quotes and get you into a policy just to change your rates a week later. I wouldnt insure anything I own with this horrible company
Worst of the worst insurance companies. They will deny coverage and make you sue them to pay a claim ... meanwhile they get rich. Unethical and illegal practices are common for them.
A complete rip-off company. I purchased motorcycle insurance for my new bike and wanted to cancel less than a month later. I found a better price through another company and they charged me $100 or 10% of my total policy value to cancel my policy. Complete rip-off. Too bad I had already paid in full so they had me by the balls. Stay away from this company and use a reputable one such as Allstate or State Farm

We are HORRIBLY disappointed in Progressive as it relates to their Roadside Assistance! The Roadside Assistance SOOOO awful! We have been waiting on the side is this road for almost an hour and a half and called back to check on the status and they donβt even show anyone dispatched. This is TERRIBLE and we have a small baby to attend to! I am writing this as we wait on the side of a we dark road with a blown out tire! The agent is now saying no one was EVER dispatched and STILL saying thereβs an error message that an βunlisted personβ requested the Roadside and all kinds of craziness - Iβm the owner of the policy, Iβm the one who called, and have had this policy for years! I HATE THIS and we remain on the side is the road how going on 2 hours still with agents placing us on hold saying theyβre trying to fix whatever error this is - still with.NO ONE dispatched! Wow! This is SO frustrating and pitiful for a nationally known company!

Ive read all the negative reviews here but had to add my 2 cents. Ive had Progressive auto insurance since 2013 and Ive never experienced anything but awesome customer service. Ive had my windshield replaced because of a rock popping up on the interstate - easy fix. And Ive also been rear ended by a dump truck that drove away without stopping - not such an easy fix. Both times Progressive responded quickly and made sure the repair was correct, even acting as my advocate when the body shop tried to use cheaper parts on my brand new car. I have no complaints about Progressive and recommend them all the time. Its time for my renewal and I was surprised to see my premium drop by almost $200. 5 BIG STARS!!!

I was hit by a driver who turned left in front of me while I was going straight through a green light. The driver did stop after he hit me and gave me his drivers license and his insurance card. As soon as I got home, I called his insurance company, progressive, to report the accident. The person who took my claim information did not convey any concern for me having just been in a scary accident and made me repeat myself many times because she was not listening or trying to be frustrating. Two months later, progressive has not processed my claim. Im still waiting to get my vehicle fixed. For over a month, the insurance adjuster from progressive told me he was unable to reach the insured. About six weeks later, he said he was going to send someone to visit the home of insured to try to reach him. I am thinking that is too little, too late and probably not helpful since insured might work during the day. I have not heard back from the adjuster since then.

I paid for six months of full coverage insurance on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz only to find out after having a blowout on the highway that Progressive had changed my policy without my consent taking it down to liability. On a car that is new and not paid for. Didnt pay for my tow, tire, or windshield. I paid the difference to bring it back up to full coverage and LOL! a late fee because the liability was more than the full coverage. A rip off It should be against the law to change a policy the lien holders should sue you!
This company is a complete nightmare! My car was stolen no empathy from the first representative and Julie that was over my claim only interrogated me and my family and told lies. You would think a company I pay over $300 a month would take care of a victim of theft bt they did not. I have full coverage on my car and rental coverage. Thankfully my car was found bt thats where the nightmare began. I was told the rental would b covered by whn I went to pick it up I needed to pay $50 and I had to pay for the rental julie only cover a portion of the days. Then she told me the car towing would b cover the police officers said the same. Bt u guessed it THAT WAS A LIE I had to pay 219 for towing. I cant wait to change companies if u r looking for an insurance company DO NOT PICK PROGRESS take it from someone who unfortunately had to make a claim with them. They make u pay for being a VICTIM.

Horrible experience. Refuse to make me whole when their insured totaled my car a few weeks ago. Causing me stress and risk of losing a job due to no vehicle for work. Only authorized a rental for a week and only then AFTER several days of deciding if they were going to accept liability rendering me without reliable transportation all Memorial Day weekend and some week days. The local supervisor, Christina, has a ridiculous, donβt care attitude. Their field adjuster refused to listen to reason or evidence from my mechanic regarding his erroneous evaluation of my car. He counted something that could have very easily been from the wreck as a devaluation sans any proof. He refused evidence regarding some oil buildup of a problem that had been fixed, just not cleaned off properly. This is a horrible company that refuses to prectice fair and ethical business.
The great people working in this office is a good reason Ive been with Progressive for so many years.

Permits you to pay your insurance on your phone then refuses to let you download the insurance documents. Every damn time I have to drive 30 miles out of my way to the bloody agents office to get a printed copy. That or I phone or email progressive upon which they email a PDF document that cannot be opened on my phone, my tablet or on my laptop. Progressive? More like regressive!
