Want wild animals tearing up your trash in the middle of a metro area? Want hours and hours on the phone and online (currently12+ hours in a week) only to be hung up on, told, Im sure Ill tell my dispatch and then be immediately disconnected? Want false promises every single day that theyll pick it up? Want to see a company falsely blame it on worker shortage only to pick up all of the homes on the block on the regular day and skip yours when your trash bin is the most accessible one? Then Waste Management is truly for you. I live in a Co major city with temps in the 90s for most of the day, and then monsoon storms in the afternoon, and animals at night. Ive only been putting it out b/c they continue to promise theyre coming each day. I work from home and watch their trucks go by every single day, yet they cant make it right? They are expensive, made me pay ahead, and now Im paying a $25 fine PER DAY from my landlord for having trash by the curb. I can go on about how lousy they are, but not worth my time right now.

Horrible! Consistency is erratic at best. Three out of four weeks late or no pick up at all. When questioned, the operator told me it was not their drivers fault but mine…. Amazing

I have I used Waste Management for all my trash and debris removal for over 10 years and been totally satisfied. The drivers and staff have provided professional support that meets all our needs. If you are looking for a professional experience and excellent company to remove your waste try Waste Management.

Absolutely the worst trash company every. Super expensive and constantly days late on picking up my trash can! Waited over an hour on the phone just to call them to cancel my service. But when I hung up and called them and said I wanted to add a service someone answered the phone instantly! DO NOT USE this company I promise you will regret it.

I ordered service with this so called waste management company and NEVER received services! They kept promising to pick up trash and recycling and never did! They kept promising to drop off trash and recycling bins and NEVER did! I kept calling for over a week, every day and kept getting the response, oh we will do it tomorrow! Well, apparently tomorrow NEVER came for them! Horrible customer service! Would not recommend them to anyone!

We used waste management for about 6 months for regular trash and recycling. They would consistently miss the pickup days. Sometimes they would send an email after missing and say they were rescheduling for the next regular pick up day. They never gave credit for missed weeks like other trash companies. When I cancelled my service they added a $75 cleaning fee for the bins. Then they did not pick up the bins. l called every week for 4 weeks before they were finally picked up. At that time they refunded the cleaning fee. The next month a got a $150 fee for not returning the bins. It is ridiculous. They have promised to remove the charge, but if things continue the way they have, it will take me several more weeks of phone calls and complaints to have the charge corrected. DO NOT USE THIS TRASH COMPANY!

This branch is absolutely terrible. Constantly late or skipping our trash bin. They promise to send someone later same day but they never show up. Wait times are ridiculous when calling to fix our service. Most of the members who answer the phone, you cannot hear them because of static on their end. I do not recommend.

Terrible service, literally trash. We went 2 months without them picking up our trash and still charged us for it. Never on time, always late, quick to take a bill but slow as hell to return it. They picked up our cans 3 months ago after we stopped our service we paid our $75 to have the cans picked up. Now we receive a bill for service and another bill from them saying they never picked up the cans. Spoke with them for almost 2 hours and still arguing wether or not they picked up the cans. Terribly ran system, rude customer service, and can’t seem to keep track of receiving payments. Would never recommend to anyone. Also terribly overpriced found a cheaper place with better customer service and bigger cans for half the price.

Horrible customer service as well as misleading pricing.Have not delivered a bin and already charging.Was told one price for service and seeing charges for nearly double that. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes the representative can’t “understand “ what charges I’m talking about and then pushes me back to the prompt system because they can’t explain the over charges. Very dishonest and disappointing to see such a large company treat people this way.

Would give them a zero star if I could. I started service 1.5 months ago and since then they’ve only picked my cans up one time. I have to call and email every single week and it takes days for them to actually come. They pick up my neighbors cans every time and purposely skip my house. They claim they figured out the “routing issue” but clearly that was a lie. For how much they charge they have horrible customer service and horrible service in general. DO NOT USE THEM unless you want to basically throw your money in the trash and waste hours of your time trying to contact them to get them to do their job. Insanity to me.

I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied with The Colorado Springs division. Multiple (6+) times of not picking up our trash for 3 months in a row, billing issues and man that picked up the trash would leave any trash that had fallen out into the road there and drive off. Disgusted with paying top dollar price for worst quality service. Before moving to Colorado from across the country I had never had problems with waste management and had been with them for 20+ Years just to get treated like for lack of a better term garbage here. We will never go back if I could give 0 stars I would! Waste Management was fired today.

One of the worst experiences with a business I’ve ever encountered. Initiating service- late delivery of container, giving me the run around every time I’d call to inquire and no updates sent. Had the service for no more than 1 month, had to cancel, as my rental unit flooded and I moved to an apartment that didn’t require trash service. I called to dispute cancellation fees and explain my situation - only had a few weeks of pick up. First customer service rep was rude, “transferred” me to her boss, only for the phone to hang up. Other rep was nice and said they’d cancel the last invoice since I didn’t have the service long and got charged $105 for cancel. I spent a total of $190 for a few weeks of terrible service. NEVER again will I use this company.

Do not use WM unless you are ready to spend at least 30 mins each time you need to talk to someone about an issue. Our trash was on the street for over a week and still not picked up. Terrible customer service. Terrible communication. They miscommunicate pick up dates and it’s been a nightmare. And then no attempts to rectify the relationship. We would rather lose money and not have to deal with WM again than to try to talk to another WM agent again.

Edit..... It has been 2 months since ive moved to my new house. It took 6 weeks to get cans. And i literally have to babysit you guys. Out if 8 weeks you have successfully picked up my trash on the correct date ONE TIME. I called on Thursday to make sure trash was actually getting picked up on friday, you guys said absolutely its trash and recycling. Came home to find not only had my recycling not been picked up, but you also took my effing trash can so now I have nowhere to put my garbage. I need to speak with management immediately. This is beyond unacceptable and if im not refunded for your negligence I will just take my business elsewhere.Absolutely terrible garbage service. Often miss their pick up days and give you no reason or response. Charged me 260 dollars for 1 month and have been trying to get in touch for over a week and a half. Terrible service and WAY overpriced. Whenever it snows, they dont pick up my trash/recycle and I have to keep all of it until my next scheduled pickup day. They say their trucks cant get up my street, but other trash trucks from other companies dont seem to have any problem getting up my street to get my neighbors trash. I tried to request an extra pickup, but they told me I have to wait till my next scheduled pickup day. Plus, I am paying $68/month for trash & recycle. I called around today and priced other trash companies in town. I found two companies that charge $30/month for the same services. I will be cancelling my service with Waste Management immediately.

Weve been using this company since 2013 and have never had a problem. On the rare occaision they are unable to pick up on the regular service day they are there the next day (weather permitting). Communication and or billing has never been an issue. From drivers to office they have always been friendly and professional. I am quite happy with Waste Management.

This is a terrible company, I thought a trash company was actually suppose to pick up your trash. We have had our trash out on the street since Thursday (which is our normal pick up time). To no surprise our trash was not picked up, so we called and the automated voice said The trash pick up was not able to be completed. Been trying to call the company all morning. First I get placed on hold, then it will ring 5 times and they hang up. Pathetic excuse for a company, I cannot wait to get rid of them once we can actually talk to a real person. Waste of money and time.

WOW! What an absolutely disaster of a company and service. I moved into a house 3 months ago and have used their service for the first time. They pick up recyclables every other week which is fine by me. IF THEY PICKED UP THE TRASH! Their last pick up date was Dec 8th, as of writing this, they havent been by and its been nearly a month now(Dec 30). I have called them every day for the past 8 days trying to get them out there. Every single time they told me, Leave your trash cans out, someone will be there by the end of the day. NOT! Not only have they stopped coming to my house for no reason, but Ive canceled my service with them only for them to not take their bins either! LOL! What an absolute joke as a company. I called their customer service people multiple times and asked for a refund for the recyclables to which of course they refused. Stating, Its a free market. Whatever that means. Just absolutely embarrassing way to run a business. As it stands, my bank has been notified, the BBB has been notified and my lawyer will be in touch.

We just purchased our house and the previous owner used this company. Called today to find out when the trash the previous owner left would be picked up, wasnt sure if they paid for this month. The girl on the other end was extremely rude and aggressive. No need for the attitude. Just wanted to set up service but no thanks. Definitely going with a different company. What a disaster! I can give the whole timeline to anyone interested, but I’ll give the overview here. I’ve now used this company for 4 months. On day 1 I signed on for one bear proof trash bin, one recycling bin, and carry-out service for both at two separate residences. After 4 months I still don’t have a recycling bin at one of the houses (after 3 separate phone calls promising that it would be fixed), and trash pickup has been missed multiple times at both houses. When they have picked up, half the time they don’t return the can to the location even though I’m paying $15 extra a month for carry out. At one point they delivered a recycling bin to a completely separate house around the block and they refuse to come pick it up until the little old woman who is snowbirding in Florida, calls them on her own. Every phone call with them is met with zero apologies for the inconveniences. They listen to my issues and say absolutely nothing in response. When I ask if they’ve heard me, they respond that they are working on looking up the details. The customer service is awful, and the attention to detail is appalling. I left the crazy horrible GFL for Waste Management, and at this point I’d go back to GFL to avoid this mess.

They miss pick ups for no reason and then dont explain whats going on. If 0 stars was an option I would choose that. Whats worse is they are contracted with Fort Carson, and are still a joke.

Only had WM for a month and a half. They have failed to pick up our recycling since I’ve had the service. I’ve called to inquire about the pick up time and why they have failed to complete this task only to receive non answers and “we pick it up next time”. Which is every two weeks! I can’t wait to cancel these POS service! Customer service was not effective and unprofessional. Do not use this company!

Holiday trash is tough with scheduling and the extra trash from festivity’s. Naturally I forgot to take the can down and while in the workshop out back heard the truck. I rushed out the gate with the can only to be too late, he was already done with the next house. But he spotted me and told me no big deal he’ll back up just slide it down to the curb. 4 TIMES A NO SHOW. If I could give this company ZERO STARS I would. Called 01/13/20 or 01/14/20 for trash can swap out, was told it was too late to schedule it for that week (01/15/20 trash day) but to put it out the following week on regular trash day and they would swap it. Put it out the following week as instructed, 01/22/20, left it out until 9PM that night, the swap never occurred. I called 01/23/20, they apologized, said to do the same thing the next week on 01/29/20. Put it out on 01/29/20 as instructed, left it out until 9PM that night, the swap never occurred. Called 01/30/20, they apologized, said they would schedule an off/cycle swap and said they were going to call me back in 1-1 1/2 hours, never called me. Called again, 01/31/20, spoke with a supervisor, she initially tried to blame everything on me and say they came on 01/15/20, then apologized when I reminded her that THEY SAID IT COULDN’T BE swapped until 01/22/20. She then offered to schedule an off cycle swap on 02/03/20. She told me to put my can out 02/03/20, I put the can out at 7AM, left it out until almost 8PM (they said it would be done by 6PM) and ONCE AGAIN THEY ARE A NO SHOW. I even called at 3PM to make sure they showed it in their system and was assured it was in their system, still a no show. 4 TIMES A NO SHOW.

Got waste management like two weeks ago And it’s been an endless struggle. We asked for the dumpster to be dropped off and picked up in the alley behind our house. It wasn’t. First scheduled pickup comes around and nothing. Had to call them the next day to get them to come. Today is Friday and my pickup date is scheduled for Wednesday. I have called and they just keep telling me the pickup date is getting pushed back. We’ve had a full dumpster waiting on these people since Wednesday. I called again today and got the same answer. I told her that I would be switching if it didn’t get picked up today and she didn’t seem concerned. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

Since singing up for this service, I have had to call every week to remind them to pick up either our recycling or trash. Last time around, their driver took a bag of trash from our bin and hung it on our fence? Who does that? Super passive aggressive for no reason. As soon as they open back up on Monday I am going to call and let them know their bins are in the middle of the street on the corner of 14th and W Colorado. Come get them. I’ll find someone else.

The prices have skyrocketed over the last three years and getting out of our contract that renews every three years with no reminders will cost us $1300. They did offer us better rates to stay with them, but still costs $50/month more than Tri Lakes Disposal. Very frustrated and disappointed. I work from home and when people come I to the yard my dogs bark while Im trying to help customers on the phone. I have a no trespassing sign and no soliciting (no exceptions) sign on my front door. These clowns still left a pamphlet on my door and set my dogs off, a young guy with glasses left it.Ive had waste management before and the service was beyond horrible. My survelliance cameras caught them driving by my trash when they were supposed to pick it up. I called customer service and they scheduled another pickup the next day and they still missed it. Im spending about 60 dollars quarterly from ankther company and service has been flawless. Dont waste your money on these guys. Their employees cant even read.

They are off the deep end on pricing.The average company in town is doing pickup for about 18.00 dollars a month, These other companies pick up the cans from the side of your house and return them there.I was just looking at my bills and there bill is for over 85 dollars a quarter.After a salesman came around offering service for 45 a month I talked to the wife and decided to change services. Low and behold we were doing business with Waste Management already. They were the ones that were charging half again as much.I called them up and was given an agreeable price discount until she explained they charge fees that no one else does.So from there perspective I should pay more get less service and be a loyal customer. Well that does not make sense to me personally so I think new service next week.A shame too. We have been there customer for many years. Apparently they do not care about existing customers other then to squeeze them for every penny. (Well that is the feeling they gave me. There customer service was terse to say the least as well.)

Waste Management has a very interesting business practice of raising your rates. I assumed that their competitors were doing the same thing, but then found out I was paying near twice what the competition was charging. So I dropped their service after 15 years and they charge me another $109 dollars to pick up their tote and gave me no option to return it myself (that almost seems illegal). If you have a choice, use another vendor!

Ive been using waste management for my local business for almost 4 years now. My employees filled the garbage above the top and they billed us for the overage. Im good with that, except the overage charge over DOUBLES the entire months bill!Then, we proceed to call and cancel the service as this is not the first time it has happened, they offer to credit our account. Thanks, but a customer shouldnt have to call in the first place, thats bad business, try billing a fair amount.Next, our contract renews in the middle of January 2020, so when we inform them we would still like to cancel, they say the contract states we need to give a 90 DAYS notice but not more than 180 DAYS. And to cancel now, will breech the contract and will cost over $1,000 even though were not in the new 12 month agreement.My more than fair 30 DAY notice letter is in the mail and we will be dropping your bin off later this week.Buyer beware.

If I could give ZERO stars I would.They charged us an amount, that we promptly paid.They charged us a $30 drop off fee and were two weeks late dropping off our trash cans. They then said we were late in our payment and havent picked up our trash in THREE weeks.We then re paid over the phone and were told wed have our trash picked up with in 24-48 hours. 4 days later they did not come. We called and they said we owed another $100 for the next two months!! We said we wanted to cancel! And they are now saying we wont get our trash picked up until we pay that but we dont want the service and they refuse to work with us. So so angry. Worst service EVER.

Waste Management trucks consistently come down my alley BEFORE 7 am, in violation of the State Noise Ordinance in Colorado which prohibits EXACTLY this. I have been TRYING since 2001 to get them to stop with ZERO success. This is a horrible company with no regard for common decency or the Law!

We were faithful customers for many years. One day they came by when we had one toter and 2 leaf bags. Even though we always had their unlimited service, they only took one bag and left the toter full and also left the other leaf bag. We watched them do this, as did our neighbors. When we called them, they PROMISED a courtesy pick-up within 24-48 hours. Never happened, even after multiple calls. The service rep actually told us they would NOT give a refund for the missed service, AND, the courtesy pick-up would ONLY be if it was convenient for them. Again, it never happened. As a result, we compared bills to neighbors with other companys, and found out that we were paying FAR FAR more for the same or lesser service with WM.

I have been using Waste Management since 2002, and usually it has been fine. However, over the past ~9 weeks I think WM has not picked up my recycling once on the regular schedule. The recycling cart and trash carts are side by side, by week after week, the recycling truck just drives by. Several times I called for an alternative pick-up date. The most recent time they just never showed up and never called. I am not sure anymore what I am paying for.

We simply wanted to use the same service as the prior owner of our home. WM wanted to charge the previous owner to pick up their garbage cans and then charge us to drop new bins off. In addition to that they wanted us to pay a fuel surcharge.They never responded to my request for new service (I filled out a registration form online). I ended up having to call them 2 weeks after requesting service to get our account setup.They missed our first pickup of recyclables.They came a couple of days later and picked up the garbage bins. No reason. They were just gone.I canceled our service and went with a local company that actually cares. When I called them to cancel our service, they made absolutely NO attempt to save my business, make it right, anything. I really dont know how this worthless company is still in business, especially considering the competition that is out there. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to collect your waste.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Had to relocate quickly so I followed their instructions for picking up my cans. They did not come when they said they would and claimed that when they did, the cans were not there. I received a bill for the cans and I called every month to resolve. I was told every month that someone would check on the situation and get back to me. Not one person ever got back to me and my bill increased every month. I all NEVER deal with this company again!

We took a chance when a Waste Management representative came to our door and offered us a plan that would save us a substantial amount of money. The first couple of months were ok but we immediately noticed a lack of attention to detail. Our cans were often left nearly to the next house and they missed our recycling a few times. Then 3 weeks ago we purchased an item that left is with a large amount of cardboard. We attempted to call them to arrange for extra recycling to be picked up. No one answered the phone when we called. The truck not only didnt pick up the extra recycling but they left the recycling in the provided bin for two weeks while we still couldnt get anyone to answer on the phone. This week they left the garbage too. When I called today it took 4 times to get an answer but the man on the phone couldnt tell me what happened but was rude to me and accused me of not paying my bill. I calmly told him that I verified with my bank that all payments had been recieved on time each month. He said he had no idea why no one had picked up our trash and recycling. He didnt offer an apology. he made no attempts to fix it or even offer garbage pick up. No more! I called our old company and they came today (same day) to get both garbage and recycling and get our service up and running with them. You get what you pay for. Lesson relearned!

When they closed the recycle center on 4th street, I called them to add recycling service. They never told me there were charging 60 for their bins. They never told me to drag recycle bin to curb. When I did drag it to the curb on the next scheduled pick up day, they did not bother to pick it up. They said bin was not out. A total lie.If any kind of truck is every in the alley, they also dont bother to pick up the trash.Their service SUCKS.

They have not delivered my trash can that i ordered for the 10th of June for when i moved into my new home. When i called they said that the cans were delivered on the 27th or may (The prior resident was still living there in may) And that they would then set up another delivery that would take about 5 business days. Then the next thing i get from them is a $100.00 bill when they have done nothing to deliver any service! I have yet to receive the cans that are 16.00 a month and they want to charge me $100 FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!

Ive been a Waste Management customer since 2008, primarily because they were the first to offer the single stream recycling. Its always been more expensive than other options, and Ive always questioned why I was giving my money to a big national carrier who could care less. Ive hit the point where Im done with Waste Management. First they refused to pickup when my bill pay got to them a day late. Fast forward to the next week, they didnt bother to pick it up. The following week they only took my trash, not the 4-week backlog of Recycling. This week, they promised over and over that theyd take my entire backlog no matter what, but when the driver showed up, he only would take the WM provided tote, and instead tipped over the other trash cans in the street. Repeated calls to WMs corporate 800 numbers were responded to with suggestions that our representative negotiated contracts that dont allow personal trash cans - we live in a residential neighborhood and dont have any representative. Then one suggested that I was only allowed one can, when it was plainly spelled out. A third call told me my cans were contaminated and therefore couldnt be picked up....contaminated with what, they wouldnt tell me....Please, save yourself the trouble. Go with a quality local operation like Bestway, a company who has roots here, customer service right in town, and who cares about the community.

Has Waste Management changed hands over the past few years? The firm that I work for (in an administrative position) has been a customer of Waste Management for approximately 30 years - 30 years! I have been paying the bills on behalf of the firm for 18 of those 30 years. While trying to get a problem resolved with an over fill charge, I was asked by the customer service person if she could speak with a person who has not been here for 20 years. When I explained that fact, the customer service person proceeded to tell me that I would have to send WM a letter (on company letterhead) stating that this person is no longer with us. I am not only disturbed by the outrageous amount WM is charging for the over fill (which I know nothing about), but also by the hoops they want me to jump through to get this simple matter taken care of. I will be finding a new company for trash service!

Took my garbage/recycling bins after weeks of calling and asking me to pay. I followed their online instructions several times, paid off all invoices, and they still took them. Idk whats going on but...going to another. Ridiculous service.

Miss either a trash or a recycle pickup at least once a month. They are unable or unwilling to come pick up outside of the normal route. Very frustrating.

They automatically raise their rates every year. They also renew your contract automatically! Getting rid of them is a lot more difficult than signing up. AVOID WASTE MANAGEMENT!

These guys keep leaving the garbage cans in the street. Doesnt matter if there is a car parked curbside or not, they get the cans, dump them, and leave them in the street every single week. Calling and complaining about this hasnt solved the problem either. Just comes down to laziness. They also leave them in such a manner that I have to move them before I can get in or out of my driveway.

Failed to provide equipment to even provide a service for a month and then refused to reimburse me for paying for a service which was not even provided. Multiple missed pick ups and rude customer service reps. Will be finding another service, they cant be worse then WM...

Worst run waste service I have ever experienced. Took 5 calls, several weeks to get a missed pickup made. Finally had to make a formal complaint made with corporate office in Texas to get the pickup made. Was also promised a credit and they never made good. Now been waiting 2 months for the bin to be picked up after canceling service.

I hired this company in February 2015 its now mid May 2015 and theyve managed to pick up my garbage four separate times during that time! Recycle twice. I am canceling my contract with them. So far they want $300. its insane. I dont know how they keep clients. All my neighbors who have had them and have changed to a different garbage company. Which is what Im going to do tomorrow!

After a year of paying for recycling, it maybe got picked up three times that year but I dealt with it because it was free since it was my first year of signing up with them and I rarely filled it up . When I received my bill for the new year, recycling was no longer free. This wouldnt have been a big deal; however, I did not want to pay for a service that barely ever happened. It took three months for them to sort out my bill to charge me for just a single trashcan and nothing else (this was after sending me a second trashcan and charging me for that, telling me changes had been applied but my online bill never reflecting them). By the time it all got sorted out they closed my account because I had not paid my bill...because it did not ever reflect the services I wanted.When I called to speak to someone he was very rude--he interrupted me, raised his voice, and continually reminded me it was my fault for paying the bill, not Waste Managements fault for never changing my bill. I am officially not a customer of Waste Management anymore. That being said, I still have my FULL recycling container back behind my house. Im not sure if theyll ever remember to come pick it up.

We signed up for service with Waste Management about 6 weeks ago, with a promise that our service would start right away. It took over two weeks for them to deliver the dumpsters. Then, we were never given a day for trash pick up, so after calling them we were told that our day is Thursday. Thursday of the 3rd week came and went without a pick up. We called again and were told that our day is actually Monday, but again, Monday of the 4th week came and went without any pick up. Yesterday (Tuesday) we were told that our trash day is Tuesday. It is now Wednesday morning of the 5th week and our trash is piled high. We had Bestway for over 8 years without ever having a single glitch in their service. For anyone looking to set up trash service, I highly recommend Bestway over Waste Management.

Horrible service, took over two weeks to get the receptacles. When I alerted them to credit my bill for three weeks of service missed they credited $7. Rude customer service representative who was very entitled on the phone. They charged a $35 set up fee which they claim they told me about yet I have no recollection of. Would never use again.
