As previously stated here, the acting receptionist behind the counter was incredibly rude. Upon arrival the first thing you come across are the walls are literally plastered with printed instructions I presume, informing you what to do when you get there. Wonderful concept except everything is IN SPANISH!!! Looked and searched for the English copy, if it is there I couldnt find it. So I proceeded further in to find someone to speak with. Gal finally acknowledges my presence, (maintaining fifteen feet away from the counter glass so I could barely hear her), asks my name and then immediately informs me I was not called and I need to Q in... (Whatever that means, I think it had to do with some app.) And when I did ask what that meant I was met with it means you have to Q in and get a number to be called up here... I finally had to explain to this wonderful individual I wasnt there to buy a car, I was there to pick up a load, FOR COPART!!! Which she would have known had she asked how may I help you... Amazing how one rude, arrogant, self entitled employee at the front counter can grade an entire business. Everything went great after I got away from her.

If I could put zero stars for this yard I definitely would! I have purchased so many vehicles through Copart in different states and I would have to say this yard is the worst yard by far. I have purchased a vehicle 2 weeks ago and reviewed all of the pictures before buying the car. The transporter took pictures of the vehicle when the loader brought it out to him. The vehicle originally had a back bumper which was uploaded by their employee. When the loader brought the vehicle out, there was no back bumper. I called this yard to explain the situation and the lady on the phone told me I would have to email the GM. I ended up emailing the GM explaining the issue along with attaching the pictures from their site along with pictures from the transporter before he loaded the car onto his truck. No response the next 2 days so I emailed back out for a follow up. The GM finally responded with Hello, We have not found the bumper in the yard. Our next step is to review the camera footage to see it the vehicle left with the bumper. Did you preview the vehicle prior to bidding and if so was it there then?Of course I previewed the vehicle prior to purchase and I also included pictures that were submitted to their site by their employee....I replied back to her and no response... A week later today and still no response, I keep reaching out and I will continue to reach out until I get this issue fixed! I dont want to hear I purchased the vehicle as is, because yes I did purchase it as is which means, the vehicle had a back bumper prior to selling and it should have the back bumper when sold and picked up!I am starting to realize that her mentality is that we need them, but in reality they need buyers. In order for this Auction to keep running, they should really re-evaluate how they handle issues that arise! I can easily stop buying from them and go elsewhere with my money. I am pretty sure they come across issues daily and have yet to handle it the right way so 1 buyer gone, leads to a lot more buyers gone...

Front desk staff helped out a lot with information. I did complain to the General Manager that I was on hold for 20 minutes, twice, and both calls got dropped... She was pretty much speechless. All I wanted was an apology, I asked nicely.I had to go, in person, to the yard and felt fortunate to let her know of the problem with the phones, while I was there. She did say, there is plenty of staff to answer the phones. What?!? This is a customer service industry, at least try to work on service recovery when things get messed up! Most the reviews I put on Google are 1 or 5 stars. Because of the rest of the staff working for/under the GM, they get three stars. GM just cost you a couple of stars... Hope she finds another job where she doesnt have to interact with the public. I think she eventually mumbled a muffled sorry, before stepping out into her very expensive car. Like they say in Texas, All hat, no cattle. (Puts on a good image, but theres no real substance.)

Lady that answered the phone was rather ignorant and very rude. I received calls and emails from this company only to be told there had been no contact with me and that I must be confused, and that the appointment I made was nonexistent. After giving the fool the number and email address of her business, she finally found something unhelpful in the system–that a call was made and a voicemail left. How they received zero confirmation that another call was answered, and sent several emails eludes me.

Literally the worst tow yard in Colorado. I had my vehicle waiting at Daurios to be appraised by the at fault drivers insurance. Well his insurance didnt want to pay the daily fee and had the vehicle towed to this trash place where they took everything out of my vehicle and threw it in the back to get rained on for a full month. Not only that but Im missing tow straps, chains, other miscellaneous items and my pallbearer gloves from one of the most important people in my life. All my items have mold and are just trash now. Carhart seat covers to little Momentos Ive collected over the five years I owned my truck. Go somewhere else they clearly dont care about others property.

Website auction and purchasing was an excellent experience; as an amateur bidder it was easy. Was expecting a quicker response regarding shipment of purchased vehicle; after one week finally started calling for location and delivery. Only after contacting Corporate support did contact increase and vehicle was located; was then given the name and number of transporter. Transporter got delivery underway, but follow-up emails never indicated that; vehicle finally appeared 2 weeks after purchase. Paperwork on this vehicle required a POA, which was easy to provide, once requirement was conveyed. As former car dealers, and lots of experience with auctions, the follow-up that we would have expected was less than satisfactory.

My husband was in a car accident and the staff at this tow yard were rude and unhelpful. When they inventoried his vehicle an employee stole his wedding band. They said they inventoried the car and placed items of value in a safe, but then stated they didn’t go through the vehicle at all. They additionally made him pay $5 Cash for a “safety vest” to even access his vehicle. No receipt and cash only they stated. So far nobody will return calls on the stolen wedding band. This is a very shady place of business.

Bid as though the engine is blown. I recently won a vehicle on Copart. The vehicle status was minor dents and scratches and runs and drives. I bid accordingly. When I picked up the vehicle it wouldnt start because the battery was dead as they usually are. I replaced the battery and the car still would not start. I found out that the starter was bad so I ordered a new starter. When I replaced the starter the engine cranked but made a clunking noise. I decided to pull the spark plugs and scope the cylinder. Two of the spark plugs were completely smashed and the pistons where broken into pieces. There is no way that this vehicle started momentarily and ran at Coparts location unless they are the ones that destroyed it. I sent pictures of what I found to Copart corporate. I was told to get in touch with the local office. I emailed the General Manager and Regional manager from my local store. They did not respond. I called and was able to get in touch with the site manager. After the site manager spoke with the General Manager he said there is nothing that they could do. Im not sure if its outright fraud or employee error but I know it has cost me thousands. Copart shouldnt be able to say a car runs if the engine is completely blown. Copart plays both sides by saying it runs but then not taking any accountability. They profit from posting the incorrect vehicle condition. If they are unwilling to back runs and drives up, then they need to remove that from the vehicle status.

That stereo costs new more than 800 dollars used 350 dollars. I went and talked to the secretary to see what could happen (I thought about some money reimbursement) after Karl brought lunch to the employees and that he finished eating could attend me (1 hour later) he only gave me two options You leave it and I give you your money back or you take it. and I thought .What? Obviously I take it thanks for nothing, I said are they stealing in your yard or what is happening? He could not answer anything. and of course Copart invests in security since it looks like yard from Jurassic park. Conclusion do not expect to find the car radio if it is expensive forget it. Never again! I paid $1,667 in extra fees! Before an individual can bid on a car, you have to first sign up with a third party broker and pay their fee. Copart gives you a list of brokers to choose from. I figured they were all the same, so I chose one, (eRepairables) and paid their $200 fee with my credit card. Once I was then in their system, I read that in order to bid on a car more than a $1000, you have to send them a bank wire, that takes 24-48 hours for them to process! In the meantime, I wanted to bid on a vehicle in a few hours, so after searching other brokers, I found one (autobidmasters) that would allow me to bid on a car up to $6K by placing that hold on my credit card, so I signed up with them for their $150 fee. I called eRepairables to cancel my order with them, and was told Id only get a 50% refund. After signing up with the new broker, and going through all the hoops with Copart, I was now ready to bid on the hail-damaged truck I had my eye on this past Wednesday. I kept clicking bid now but a pop up box said you are not authorized to bid in this auction I called Copart and they said you have to call the broker, so I called the broker, and they went online and couldnt figure out what the problem was so they just asked me what was the maximum amount I was willing to bid on the truck. I told them $6,000, as the truck probably wasnt worth more than that anyway according to Kelly Blue Book. They said OK, well place bids for you up to that amount. I ended up with the winning bid on truck which was $5300, so I was excited, and thought I got it at a good price. What I didnt realize, was all the other fees that I would be charged! There was a Copart auction fee in the amount of $613, a transaction fee in the amount of $318, a membership fee of $100, a documentation fee of $80, and a delivery fee of $386 to transport the truck 50 miles to my house (by easyhaul) because its against their policy for buyers to drive their vehicles off of the lot! And guess what else? Payment would still have to be sent to Copart by bank wire, as its against their policy for buyers to show up on their yard with funds! So including the $20 bank wire charge, the total extra fees I paid were $1,667, so the $5,300 winning bid on the truck ended up costing me $6,967! What a racket! If that wasnt bad enough, my truck was supposed to be delivered on Friday around 6pm, but when I called the hauler at 7pm, he said he wasnt given the right documentation from the broker, so the yard wouldnt allow him access to pick up my truck, and since it was after closing hours, I would now have to wait until Monday to re-schedule the delivery! I called today, (Monday) and another hauler was dispatched to deliver my truck this evening, so hopefully it arrives tonight! All in all it has been a nightmarish experience, and I wanted to warn others what they would be in for in going this route. Sadly, Im sure I could have found a similar truck from a private seller on craigslist for around $5,000, saving me $2000, and would have been able to test drive it, and have a mechanic check it out, etc..so Ive learned my lesson....never again!Update: My truck finally arrived at 8:30pm Monday night. The hauler gave me a receipt to sign, and was leaving when I asked him where the title and other paperwork on the truck was. He said he didnt know anything about the paperwork, as his job was just to deliver the vehicle. Meanwhile, the truck had a cracked windshield, and a missing brake light. I call Copart on Tuesday about my title...they tell me to call the broker, and the broker tells me they are FedExing my title and I will have it by Friday! I tell them that with all the fees they charge they should at least overnight titles to people. They explain that if I want it overnighted, then thats an additional $20 charge. I agree to pay the extra, and am waiting on the title. Like I said before....never again!

When he arrived there was no office that he could see, and he drove on the lot with no security what so ever. In addition to their lack of security he found that all my stuff had been stolen(no surprise there). The car was unlocked just sitting there for anyone to walk up and take whatever they please. If your car gets sent here following an accident make sure you get all your stuff out of it before it enters their lot. They will let stuff get stolen off of the car, and then tell you to follow up with your insurance company to make you whole for their negligence. A company like this that claims no responsibility for their negligence shouldnt be in business. Shame on you Copart!

Security fence is now beefed up and privacy guard on the fence too (as of March 6, 2016 weekend). I dislike it myself as I was used to being able to see what cars to bid on thru the fence after hours... as often pictures on the website have too much shadow, glare or even snow... that hides too much body damage to make an informed purchase. But I guess there are always after hour thieves that make it all worse for the honest folks- hence the fence. Prices are great.. but you have to buy thru a broker in Colorado. Good folks overall if they always try to remember to keep the buying customers wanting cars for parts/ repair/ etc. as their priority. They seem to be too big to care too much in Denver. ..Nickle and dimeing you if you buy it now pay up in under 3 days or face more fines. Be ready to wait a couple hours anyday/anytime in denver to get your car forklifted to ya. (also..Saturdays included as a day to pay.. .so watch it).
