This is a wonderful historical auditorium downtown Colorado Springs, CO. Every event I have attended has been meaningful and very special. Its older and I appreciate that! There is always some kind of maintenance going on, which again... I appreciate, because that means they are taking care of it! I hope it continues to stand when I pass away, so my older children can continue to visit and remember all the fun activities that they were in & enjoyed. Also that one day, in the future... (long future) my grandkids can do more than visualize when they hear stories about the memories and people.
This is now an isolation hospital for people with Covid. Mo is a fantastic nurse and so is Lisa, but the place is very overcrowded and the people being treated there are beyond rude and loud,it is hard to heal and recover in that type of situation.
I could stay but i loved being there cuz of its pitite size in beauty made me want to be in comidy... but notI loved the way it mad me feel
My show was a success. Sold out.
Very good place to recover from covid-19
Wonderful facility providing all sorts of activities for young people. Colorado Springs Park and Rec stand well above other cities, states and municipality for the wide range of services they provide to the local community.
I love coming here. I have been here for the Chinese new year celebration and metaphysical fair. Its a great place with old history. The space is amazing
Attended the 19th Annual Chinese New Year Festival. It was Awesome. This Auditorium was also where I saw my first concert- Motley Crue in the1980s. Very nice venue.
Amazing place for our Taekwondo events. Easy access and plenty of parking.
Its kind of an older venue, but we had a good time at their rollerderby event.
From my first visit in 1983 to see Motley Crue until today, Ive seen cat and dog shows there, many concerts, graduations, roller derby and countless other events there. Its not huge or overly elaborate but it does the job and is a very cool piece of Colorado Springs history that locals as well as tourists enjoy.
The event held here was great. However this place us not handicape accessible. Bathrooms are really nice just done.
Loved introducing my Dad and stepmom to Wemons roller derby here. The puck throw was just a little added fun for everyone.
Were veterans are shown appreciation for theyre sevice
Ive announced mixed martial arts in this venue for years, the fans are the best in the Springs and the building staff is awesome! 5 🌟 people and the local matches its people.
Building is super cool, staff were greater than Great. Thank you for having us.
A fun venue. Parking is always a pain, and costly. Limited facilities. Badly in need of an update, or even better, a few satellite locations for the growing city. Good lighting. Stage a little low.
I love events at this historic building! Our martial arts school comes here several times a year and it accomitmdates our entire group really well. They are always upgrading and remodeling which is nice too!
Went for a craft fair, facility is nice but could use some general maintenance. Parking is horrible just like anywhere else in the downtown area.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the Jiu-Jitsu tournament! We had a blast!
Historic and beautiful. New bathrooms! The Hawaiian BBQ pulled pork at the restaurant is awesome!
Great seeing like minded fitness people today! @coloradospringsburn
Fabulous place and staff. Incredible history, architecture is amazing and building is well preserved and taken care of. I LOVE the Lon Chaney Theatre!! Magical place.
Went for a concert, and the music was great! The water from the drinking fountain was a weird yellow/brown color, the bar ran out of one of their 2 beers available after the opener, and both ATMs were out of service. Good music, not a good venue.
I volunteer here with the Springs Rescue Mission, but the staff at the auditorium are very friendly and easy to work with. The bathrooms have been recently remodeled but the rest of the building feels very historic. This is a great open space to have events.
Small venue. Half the people here wanted to sit but couldnt due to not enough chairs set up(not locations fault but shows the small space committee had to work with for event). Bathrooms in hallway, ramp on one side for handicap access. You pay for parking.
Best place in town to see Pikes Peak Derby Dames.
This place should be condemned. It is so dilapidated its ridiculous. I dont know how they can legally hold events at this location.
Went to see the Roller Derby. Amazing to watch. The location is great and evening parking isnt too bad considering the location.
Visited for the HolidayDinnerDance for the 3rd year in a row. Had a wonderful time!
Great venue, friendly staff KICH Radio Approved we would gladly use this place for our next major event
I came here for a mixed martial arts event it was fun good food definitely good adult drinks. My only complaint is it was hot as hell in here so bring some kind of fan with you if they let you
Cool venue thats hosts a variety of events from Zumba to roller derby. Could use some renovations but overall is pretty cool
Attended the metaphysical fair here. Nice place. Spacious. Would love to and plan to attend a play here hopefully in the near future!!
Great location awesome staff will definitely return for future events KICH Radio Approved!
Clean and crowded. Nice place
It’s a shame that the city has let the auditorium deteriorate. The ceiling looks like it won’t last much longer from roof leaks. Ripped curtains everywhere. Broken lattice around the sound system. Instead of focusing on building the “Olympic City”, why not restore what’s already here?
Love goin here to watch MMA FIGHTS,Only if they had them all the time like they use to
Nice city meeting area for small function events.
Visited during the Veterans Stand Down. Great place to hold an event like that at.
I have been to 3 functions held in the auditorium this year. Parking in the lots in the area is plentiful, and it has easy access on 3 sides of the block.
All depends on what you are there to see. We watched 2A District Basketball Playoffs. It was a good place to watch basketball.
Went here for a roller derby and was a cool old building. The seats are straight out of the 50s but I thought they were still comfortable. The bathrooms are newly renovated and were very clean.
Great place for a graduation!!! Plenty of parking, seating is good, convenient restrooms
Parway drive was one of the best shows. Great crowd.
Got a chance to see Shinedown there. The building is a little bit older, but was pretty easy to get around. It definitely is setup for smaller venues.
Wow. Obviously an old theatre used for many different events. Floors very sticky and seating was ripped pretty badly. Some of the screws were loose in the balcony railing too. Parking was confusing, pricey, and dark. We went to this for district basketball.
Older facility is still good for many events. It has free high speed internet provided by the city.
Wonderful venue! Cant wait to go back!
It is rather historic, but the building is not quite as sharp as Im sure it once was. Most of the seats are duct taped and falling apart. There is a great handbell festival here every February, though!
Older but still cool. It is definitely a piece of Colorado Springs history!
The historic charm is magnetic. This place is a glimpse of a romantic past.
Very old facility, seating could use a lot of help. Most seat cushions are being held together with black tape.
Good enough for a small repticon
Thanks for wonderful holiday dinners God bless
Went to watch the Pikes Peak Derby Dames. Awesome old building!
Great venue for Chinese New Year celebration. Thanks CSCCI for putting it together!
Great facility for my nieces high school graduation! I just wish it was easier to find parking.
Enjoyed the improv troup that was there.
50s atmosphere of how COS used to be before all the people had to come!
Events start on time and when they are over the building clears out quickly
Sunday afternoon we attended the Rocky Mountain State Games badminton competition at City Aud. It has been a few years since I have been there for an event. This venue is a great service to citizens who participate in all kinds of things--roller derby, sports, antique shows, and the metaphysical fair. Most of these events could not happen without a reasonably priced venue. We are lucky to have such a hard-working historic structure open to the public. The chairs are wearing out, and there is no A/C, but extensive renovation would raise the cost of renting the facility. Maybe City Aud already has a Friends group. If not, it should.
A historic and enjoyable atmosphere, this is one of the oldest buildings in Colorado Springs but is still well maintained.
Beautiful place. It needs to be utilized more.
The Metaphysical fair was somewhat lackluster this year. Seeing all the mediums glued to their electronic devices was seriously offputting.
Had an awesome evening at roller derby. Everyone should come out to watch.
Great I went to a MADR(mothers against Drunk driving) meeting class with a friend who got a dui. Learn a lot of information of what liquid does to our body that I did not know. Dont drink and drive take Uber.
The remodeling in the bathrooms improved accessibility.
Neat old theater. Kinda a throw back in time.
Historically amazing, but uncomfortably warm for this 8pm July show of a local improv troupe.
Went there to see PPDD, great womens roller derby. Comes once a month.
Thanks for all the nice things they did for the veterans
A great place for live music and other activities with friends and family.
Go there often part of colorado springs and the new bathrooms are great.
Older building that could use some improvements. But great for venues.
I go to the Colorado springs auditorium for dances and to wash UCCS basketball
Best thing going on here is the pikes peak derby dames bouts once a month!
Good place to go see stuff they put on there
Great venue for events, plus its very nostalgic going in there
A bit older venue. But had great character.
Went for roller derby really neat place
Nice place to hold gathering and sports functions
A great historic venue.
Huge amount of history here and still a beautiful under utilized venue!
It works good for roller derby
Seats are old, but the bathrooms are nice and new!
Awesome old building, check out the derby dames there!
Cute little theater
Nice retro style and spacey. Not too much of a fan of the chairs.
It was great. Had a great time.
Old historic city auditorium, quite run down now
Love this venue, full of history, great place to have events!
Interesting place with a lot of history and beautifully updated bathrooms
