Important and caring work theses people do . They are caring for the little creatures that are discarded and forgotten. We donated and hope everyone would give even the smallest offering to assist them in this very important work. Anna introduced us to the kitties and showed us around. Her sincerity and dedication was very touching. Others were there as well busy looking after the cats needs the whole time we were there. Please consider donating to their cause.
We rescued our sweey baby Felix (originally Lycra) from Wild blue cats and we couldn’t feel more lucky. Michelle was great to work with and the whole experience from seeing the kitten online to adopting him in person was smooth and easy. They take good care of the cats at their sanctuary and only want the best for the kittys they rescue.
Wild Blue Cats is sooooo AMAZING!!!! I would give a thousand star review if I was able to. I was in a very hard position in my life and I had no choice but to have to find a new home for my sweet cat and needed to find her a place VERY fast. I knew that it was going to be hard not only to find a place that could take her but one that I would feel good about and that I would not be sending her to death if she was not able to be adopted. I reached out to numerous places with either no response or they were very rude. I had looked into the different places and Wild Blue was the one that I was the most impressed with and hoped they could possibly help. Thank God they contacted me and let me know they were very full but they wanted to help because of my situation. When I brought Colby in I was a disaster and they were so incredible with there patience and understanding. They explained how things worked there and how Colby was going to be able to be introduced into the group of people and other cats which she was a very unsocial and scared little kitty. It was so heartbreaking to leave her but I knew I was not going to be able to give her the life she deserved anymore and she was in a great place that you can tell loves their cats. I am sure I drove poor Connie crazy texting her and checking in to see how Colby was doing with only loving responses and pictures. Colby was cuddling with a volunteer within a day which shocked me because I was the only person that she would let touch her. That says alot about the love that she already felt there. Colby has thankfully found a new home with a loving volunteer that fell in love with her and now she has another chance of a wonderful life. I cannot thank Wild Blue Cats and all of the volunteers..especially Connie for all of their hard work and love that they give to their cats and their goal to give all cats a loving home and a new life. Please help in any way you can to help keep this cat refuge a place for all cats that are in need. Thank you Wild Cats!!!
We took Gunter home a week ago, and he is just the BEST little kitty!!! I picked Wild Blue Cats because they had such excellent reviews, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. We found our kitty and took him home with no trouble, but then had a hard time getting him to eat the first day or two. I let the folks at Wild Blue know I needed help, and they got back to me right away (outside of office hours, too!) and gave me just the advice I needed to get him eating again. They really care for their kitties!!!
The man inside was a little condensating...I just wanted to volunteer my time for cats ....but maybe he was having a bad day...lol...I wonder if he beat a cat that day
I got my cat at Wild Blue and Im also a volunteer. They treat the cats with so much love and respect and they rescue cats. They also have a policy that you cant declaw a cat you get from them, which is really nice. All the cats are also microchipped. They are a no-kill shelter as well. If youre looking for a cat, I recommend going to Wild Blue.
We got our baby girl Gamora from here a few months ago and she truly brings such joy into our lives. We cant thank Wild Blue enough for the love and happiness Gamora gives us every day. We cant imagine our lives without her! Thank you Wild Blue, truly.
We were able to get our dream kittens. Thanks!
An extraordinary facility saving lives of so many cats and kittens. Adopt!
I wish anyone reading this could see inside my heart. This shelter is wonderful and these people are doing it with such dedication, compassion, and love. The owner has no limits and will go as its stated, above and beyond to save even a tiny kitten that other shelters are quick to euthanize. This shelter is staffed mostly by Volenteers. Many act as foster parents in their own homes.Adopting from a facility like Wild Blue is a very good experience for many reasons. Youll have a healthy cat and one who has been with people who will know the cats personality. If your unable to adopt a kitty for health reasons think about donating even one dollar can be a huge help for a truly great organization with such great people. Thank you for taking the time to read this post, Jo💫🐈.
Teigan was very helpful good work
I just would like to thank everyone there for your kindness and patience with my family and I yesterday. We now have an amazing kitty who is so sweet and adapted right away. You can tell staff is good to and love these animals from their hearts just from the behavior of not only the kitty we adopted but the ones who are still there. Again, thank you for giving me and my family a new addition who has just snuggled her way into our life!!
Its appalling how much local vets charge to spay and neuter. Many vet procedures to our pets cost a pretty penny but youd think the pursuit of not having unwanted kitties and puppies would inspire a more cost efficient service. When the local clinics are booked up or ungodly expensive, who do you call? And then there are angels out there like Wild Blue Cats. They care about cats and puppy dogs too.I found out about them through a Facebook group in the nick of time. We greatly needed a kitten spayed and the prices that local vets charged were ridiculous! Wild Blue Cats was having a clinic just for cats and only wanted $80 for spay, vaccinations and micro chip. The clinic included licenced vets that donate their time and a slew of other loving precious people who put the service together.Organized, friendly, efficient and compassionate- this place is amazing! I donated what I could on top of the fee and Ill continue to not only donate but tell everyone I know how awesome these people are. If you need such a service for your pets, add them on Facebook and watch for their clinics. Please consider donating whether you use them or not. What they do for unwanted and wanted kitties and dogs cannot be compared!
Sorry for this mishap.... Love Wild Blue....we have adopted all our cats from here! Amazing people
What we thought was a healthy kitten was definitely not the case, as soon as we picked her up she was sneezing and had lots of discharge from her eyes and nose, so naturally we took her to OUR vet, severe respiratory infection, another week after that I start seeing spots ALL over her, to the vet again, ringworm. 95$ for a kitten for our daughters birthday quickly turned into almost 400$, not to mention she could die because the treatment for ringworm as bad as she has it is extremely hard on their kidneys and liver. They had a cat in the facility quarantined in a regular cage in the same room as the other cats, little did I know that it travels through the air and even on dust particles so that did 0 good. They did offer to take her back and refund us, but no I will not allow her to go back to that environment. She is being treated and hopefully survives this ordeal because she is ridiculously loving and adorable.
Good people! We do help them with the kitties.
Awful feral cats 90% are feral, people that work there irritate me very accusatory
They have a structured system for adopting cats without being completely invasive of your personal life. They ask standard questions to ensure the cat you want is going to work. (Dogs, children, work life, etc.) If it doesnt work they work with you even more. Communication with Lori was quick and efficient. You can tell Lori loves helping these cats get homes! They deserve your inquiry when adopting!
Adopted new kitten. Paid all fees. Supposedly sent home with clean bill of health. First week out at vet already. Upper respiratory infection. At vet again today. Poor thing has ringworm all over her body. Noticed when we were at adoption center initially there was a cage with a note on it that said and I quote ringworm, quarantine. But no animal in the cage. As far as Im concerned. Not trustworthy people. They will be getting bills for both visits.
We adopted a buffy tabby male from the Falcon litter born around 4-25-20. His sister Ovo is still waiting for adoption I think. Like ours, I believe most of the kittens are kept in various foster moms homes where they receive lots of care, love, attention, and any medical attention if they need it. I know for a fact that the foster moms make sure their kitties are healthy & ready to go before you pick them up. My wife and I have been Exceedingly Happy with our kitty. Hes quite healthy, happy, and gets along well with our other younger female cat. Be sure to follow their guidelines, ask lots of questions, and spend a little time with them before you take them home if you can.
Wild Blue is the best sanctuary in Colorado. The staff really cares about the cats, and the fact that there are no cages is amazing. The cats can freely roam the sanctuary, so when looking for a cat you can veiw their personalities without the distraction of a small crate. The adoption process is simple, and everyone is friendly. Also, this shelter is a no-kill and they accept cats with all temperaments, ages, and conditions.
Theyre awesome. Very focused on the cats health and safety.
Caring and professional people who only have one mission... Finding forever homes for at risk kitties.
This shelter is amazing! They are so thorough and take great care of the kitties!
They take great care of the cats here!
Full disclosure - i volunteer here. But no one does a better job placing cats in forever homes.
Great place. I was able to adopt a sweet cat from here. The volunteers care about the cats & are helpful. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to adopt a new friend.
These people really care. There are some eccentric personalities, but its a very well run organization, and you can tell at first glance they care about the quality of life of their cats both before and after adoption. We adopted a kitty here about a year ago and shes loving the comfy life. They also took care of all of her vet needs before adoption, dental and vacs. There was a follow up call a few weeks after adoption, I appreciate the follow up to confirm the cats are acclimating well.
Great staff, very helpful. Took time for me to find the right cat for me. Very happy I adopted from them.
I am a happy friend WONDERFUL outdoor cat from Wild blue. As well, my mom and I volunteer and I tell you, there is no better place for a cat to be when they don’t have a home.
We got our newest baby from these guys a few months ago and have been blown away by everything theyve provided. They do follow ups, covered the cost of his shots and vaccinations, they provided us with free medication when they could and when we really needed it, and, their headquarters is literally a trailer filled with cats and kittens. It was the best, most loving, spectacular place. It fills your heart to be there. thank you so much, Wild Blue! You guys are one of a kind ❤ (theyre also in black forest, so the drive out is incredible!)
Good webpage.
They helped us adopt our kitty! They were so sweet and such a great place to get a cat from. The kitten we adopted was very clean and already trained. Had shots and her first vet visit with more shots were all covered in the cost of the kitten. Thanks Wild Blue
Got my annde here. They care about the cats so much its amazing. Got a tour around the place and got to see the feral cats which was really cool. Would recommend this place indefinitely
We adopted our lovely little kitten their them and couldnt be happier 💗
This is a nonprofit, no kill cat sanctuary and is the best cat haven I have every visited. Its super clean and the volunteers are really knowledgeable of each cat and their individual needs. The animals are spayed/ neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped before place for adoption. If your a kitty lover, I suggest you should go by and check out. There might be a very special kitty there that is meant just for you to add as a new fur baby family member.
Laurie and her team of experts have shown the best care and consideration I have ever seen or experienced. I am considering getting a kitty and I have been to the sanctuary where they keep their cats and was so impressed at the conditions and care the cats are given. My friend just adopted a kitty from them and she is so cute, they love her so much and she is integrating so well with her other 3. I will be adopting soon and look forward to working with them Thank you Wild Blue for everything you do and as soon as I am ready for another baby... I will be getting one from you!
Great place that helps cats find forever homes
The people that work here are the SWEETEST. Clean, enriching and safe environment for the cats.
They had a Valentines Day special. My sweet boy is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all shots. I got a great deal, but even the regular adoption fee is a bargain considering the fact that I dont need to worry about urgent veterinary issues immediately.
We drove all the way out there and was told to drive to south Colorado Springs to look at younger cats vs the ones onsite. We arrived, all got out of the car and told to get right back in. Highly recommend the humane society over making a drive to Black Forest, but all animals deserve the opportunity to be adopted so if you can look past the people and just focus on the animal I encourage you to go.
I couldnt be happier with the 2 little girls that I adopted. They came out of a feral colony but you wouldnt ever guess it. They are my little love bugs and follow me everywhere. Their foster Mom obviously spent a lot of time working with them. I would give 10 stars if I could!
We adopted a pair of brothers a few months ago. They are sweet, adorable and growing so fast. I have recommended this rescue to friends and they have also had wonderful adoptions. The foster moms for our boys were so loving and caring. Our kittens were very socialized and cuddly.
They really care about cats, and they care about people too. My daughter volunteers here, and our Girl Scouts love supporting their efforts. They are making a difference. If youd love to help cats or bring one into your family then I highly recommend you reach out to Wild Blue.
A wonderful little place on the edge of town.
Great selection, very wine knowledgeable, and an inside opening directly into Sprouts.
They only deal with the north end of Colorado springs disappointed that they wont come down to fountain.
Ive been volunteering at Wild Blue almost 3 years and I believe they are above and beyond a wonderful Rescue and sanctuary. The sanctuary is a free roam facility located in the Black Forest north of Colorado Springs. No cages here with a community room and smaller colony rooms with access to outside enclosures weather permitting. Lauri, the founder will go the extra mile to medically treat and save kitties when perhaps other places would not. I adopted my Lucky almost 3 years ago at age 12 and hes still doing great! I highly recommend Wild Blue and hope you come look next time youre looking for you furever friend!
I could not be happier with the organization. We had no idea who could help us. We were caring for a colony of around 10 cats and 5 came up pregnant. Wild Blue helped us catch, fix and release the entire colony, took in the kittens and even helped us set up a vet visit to have a couple of our indoor cats spayed. They were extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable. They stayed in communication the entire time. I fully support their mission in helping people and cats around the community.
We brought home our loving kitten just this weekend! She was clearly fostered in a kind and loving home and has adjusted to her forever home quickly! The women that assisted us appeared to really care about where their kittens are going. Sophie is wonderful to have around loving and prancing around with our dogs, its great to see, and this is coming from a dog person! Thank you for everything!
Incredibly caring! A blessing that we found such an amazing place to take in our rescue kitty. We found him on the streets but couldnt afford to keep him. Wild Blue took him in, performed the needed surgery and loves on him in such a great environment!
Cat was gone when I got the message and checked!
Best place to adopt a cat. Even better place to volunteer. Sanctuary is well run and very clean. All resident cats receive the best care
Absolutely love the staff, they were able to take my cat I was unable to keep! 💖
Leave bad review and she wants to know who you are and where you live
You can tell they really care about their cats not just when they are at WB but after they are as well. They want to make sure you get the perfect kitty for your family. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to adopt, to give this place a visit :)
We just got our Deming from there! They tried to matched us as best as they could and they were right on the money.we are absolutely in love with him. They are doing a wonderful thing for colorado felines.
Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is located at a great location to save cats and kittens and they are helping with one of my favorite feral cats from the colony of ferals cats that I take of located in Falcon, CO, she is pregnant right now and after her litter is born and winged she will be spayed ear tipped and returned to the colony again!.They are very helpful to the animals and are peaceful and respectful neighbors! They Help Save Animals Precious Lives!
Nice comfortable rooms at an affordable price
An amazing no kill sanctuary for cats. Amazing staff and facility.
We have adopted twice from them. They are loving and kind people with a heart for cats and giving. They are some of the most caring people I know. They truly want what is best for the cats.
I was trying to surrender 3 of my cats because my boyfriend is highly allergic to them and they told me just to have him take a pill then they yelled at me they told me to take them to a place where its known to kill the animal... I would NOT recommend this place ever fishing be shut down for the way that they treated me in my time of need...I Pray no one surrenders animals to them ever again! They are a disgrace two animal loving people... they should be shut down
Great set up. Nice and clean.
Awesome people. Better kitties. Wonderful mission.
I love what this organization does for kitties. Please keep protecting the fur babies.
Private sanctuary well kept by volunteers and senior staff. They care about their kittys and where they will end up in their new homes!
They helped us find the perfect cat. Thank you so much
Fingers crossed that WBC can help me. Thank you for taking Priscilla.
Could not be happier with our sweet special needs boys. So glad to have these wonderful additions to our family, which wouldnt have been possible had they been given up on.
It was a very personal expirience being in her home to see some of the fostered animals and shes very educated on every animal that comes to her. We had a great expirience and love our kitten. This rescue would be my first choice if we ever wanted another animal.
I adopted my wonderful Daphne from wild blue and she has brought me nothing but fun and entertainment 🐱🐱
Not only did they blatantly lie to us when they said in the bio that they socialized the cat (we know this because they called us worried a day later and confessed), they wont answer our calls now. A terribly terribly run shelter.Edit: Im not the only one they did this to it appears.
I just adopted a mother and her kitten from Lauri the entire process was quick and easy she obviously loves animals. They make sure that you have vouchers for any follow up shots for younger cats and makes sure that they have been spayed or nutured. She and everyone she works with were a pleasure to meet if you want to adopt one or more furrballs please use this rescue.
Good hearted pepole
Very poor experience. I applied to adopt a cat and gave them all the information they asked for, including that the cat would be living in a shop with another cat. The owners comment was, Sounds wonderful! I was told by the people at Petco that he needed to be an only cat because he attacks other cats, but I placed my trust in Lauri, thinking she would have told me if it was not a good fit. For a solid week, he stalked and attacked my cat relentlessly, even waiting until we were distracted to attack her again. After a week of trauma, I decided to return him. Lauris attitude was very blaming and condescending. I certainly dont recommend adopting from here.I was told at Petco that the best way to introduce a new cat is to place him in a smaller space for up to a couple of weeks until the current cat can accept him. To the best of my recollection, Lauri never mentioned this, however, until after I already had the cat at my shop, in an email. Of course I knew this, having had a number of cats in my life. I explained that I was not able to do that in my shop. Again, I was placing my trust in Lauri, feeling that if it was not a good fit, she would have said so.When I returned the cat to Wild Blue, I asked Lauri if he (Morrison) had ever been adopted and returned before. She said yes, that he was returned because of problems with a nanny. I didnt ask her if they had other pets too, but I wonder.I also asked her if they had ever seen him do this attacking behavior with other cats. Of course I knew the answer had to be yes. She casually answered, Oh, yeah. I told her in my opinion he needs to be an only pet. She kept saying, Thank you for saying that, hon. Weve had a lot of cats. They all do it. (This is not true in my experience as a lifelong cat owner. I have never seen the kind of behavior I witnessed with Morrison, and neither have any other of the numerous cat people I talked to about it.) She said, We socialize them so they dont do it anymore. That may be true, but this cat still does it, and in my opinion they need to either train him so he doesnt do it anymore or adopt him out as an only pet. I said this to Lauri.Lauris response was to blame me for this adoption failure, saying I had been told how to introduce him to my other cat but apparently I was not able to do it. Again, I was told that at Petco but not by her until after the adoption and I placed my trust in her as I had explained the entire situation to her both on the adoption application and by email. Again, I have had numerous cats in my life starting from childhood and have never seen this type of behavior, so I had no reason to expect it. She was patronizing, calling me hon and talking about how many cats they have processed. The end result is that my cat, the adopted cat, my staff, myself, and even some of my customers have been traumatized due to this event. One of my assistants was in tears and the other one was quite angry. My baby girl cat cowered in a corner for a week. I was depressed and sad. There was a cat fight in front of customers which was embarrassing and upsetting. These are peoples and animals lives they are playing with, not to mention peoples money. Of course I am out $75.This cat was misrepresented to me. I and at least one other adopter are out $75. You have to sign a contract saying you will only return the cat to them or face a fine of $7,500. Could that be why she is so nonchalant about these adoptions? I hate to think that, but it makes you wonder. Finally, whatever you do, if you have other animals, dont adopt a cat named Morrison. He is an orange tabby, so be sure to ask questions about any orange tabby you are looking at in case they change his name.He would be great as a single pet, but he relentlessly attacks and beats up on, bullies other animals. In saying this, I am trying to protect adopters as well as protect this cat from being used as a cash cow. Lauri ended by slamming a door in my face and having somebody else bring out my empty carrier.Response of debatable truth.
Its a bit off the trail but the place is clean and the cats are well loved. I also didnt feel like the people were too pushy.
Great place and love what everyone does for these kitties!
Their comitment to abandoned cats I COMMEND THEM FOR THEIR COMMITMENT
