I am not sure what is going on at Olson, but I just finally gave up today. I received a notice from the City that I needed a backflow valve to be installed. I had to wait 3 weeks to get an estimator to my building. After that I could not get the results of the estimate. Its been over a month since they visited for the estimate. No contact from them. I practically begged them to help me. Sent emails and left messages. I called another company today to start the process all over. Must be nice to be so busy that you can treat people this way and still be in business. What a shame.

I was referred to Olson by my home inspector. It sucks how expensive HVAC can be but they have gone above and beyond for us. The part needed is delayed so they provided us with modular AC units to make it more bearable in the meantime. We also had a couple other estimates done and Olsons was right in line with others. Id highly recommend.

This is the absolute best company, hands down, in Colorado Springs! We moved to Colorado Springs last August (2020), and after being here a few months, one of our water heaters quit working. Josh & Justin came out to change the water heater. They were professional, knowledgeable and the absolute best company we could have called to take care of the job. They will be the only company we go to for any plumbing and/or heating problems - a company that has integrity and is honest! I cannot recommend them enough!

I have called twice, once at 1130 in the morning and once today at 410. I was told both times the only person that could make an appointment for an estimate was at lunch or gone for the day. I asked this time if she was the only one in the building that was capable of doing this. Seems odd that a company this large couldnt have a person cross trained or a manager that could step in. I was recommended to use this company and see there trucks everywhere but guess they have enough work. The lady that took my call was willing to let me call back or transfer me to her voicemail.Thanks anyway

So this morning my home security system alarm notified me that there was a water leak in my basement. When I went downstairs I discovered a water leak at the main waterline. Because of the location of the leak I knew I needed a professional plumber so I called Olson Plumbing since my neighbor recommended them since his business had used them for repairs. I called to make an appointment and unfortunately they were booked up. And they told me they could send someone the next day or after normal hours. So I requested the after normal hours, even though it would cost more and hung up. A few minutes later they called and stated that they had a technician who became available and asked if I minded them arriving earlier. So they sent Mike G. to my house he came, he saw and he fixed. All in the shortest time possible. He was professional, polite and cleaned up the area where he did the repairs. Now I see why my neighbor recommended Olson plumbing and I will definitely call them in the future will all of my plumbing needs.

When having another company in town do a regular furnace tune up in our recently purchased home, it was brought to our attention that we were going to need a new furnace, but their prices felt too high. I called Olson before those guys left my house and even without being in my house were able to give me an estimate on a better unit for thousands $$$ lower. Alex with Olson is normally a foreman, but was the one that came to do an estimate, and wow! He was phenomenal! He also recommend replacing our furnace, but he put all the concerns that the other guys had to rest. His 30 years of experience/passion/ knowledge was very obvious and he was able to help us decide on the appropriate unit for our home and family. Even though we werent planning on getting a new AC unit, he also talked through future options on that too but was not pushy at all; he was truly serving our family as best he could. Within days, we had a new more-efficient furnace installed. We have three little kids including a new born and our heat was starting to go out; they moved up our timeline and got things rolling even faster. If were needing a major appliance change or just a yearly tune-up, Olson will always have our business after these multiple interactions. I work downtown. We pay for a parking space. Ive asked them to not park in our spot before...and then had to call the office a separate time to have them come move. I should just call the dam tow company...but I hate doing that...now they parked partway in the spot like an well...ya..its one thing to take someones payed for spot...its another to block it enough they cant park there.

My girlfriend and I had a major sewage backup at around 10pm last night. Sewage coming out of the shower drain etc. Called these guys and they had someone out to fix the problem within an hour. Ron was the technician who came to our rescue. He was professional, polite and fixed the issue within an hour. I would highly recommend Olson to anyone and everyone in need of emergency plumbing service!

No other company would show up to take care of my frozen pipes during the recent freeze... however, this company sent a Technician out within the hour, even though they were definitely busy. The tech went above and beyond and spent as long as it took to get my pipes thawed out. Great company. Great employees. Dont waste your time other places, call Olson and get it done right.

We had flooding/water backup into the laundry room because the mainline got clogged. Didnt discover this until 8pm on Good Friday. Olson was the first company that was able to provide service to our after hours holiday emergency. The technician Brandon was professional, explained what he was doing, why there could be mainline clogs, and advised additional follow-up with Olson for some other potential plumbing improvements. Only company I will call going forward.

Thank you Olson Plumbing. We moved to CS in January and couldnt use one half of our home because of back-up plumbing. After huge fails with another company, we got Olson in March. They came in and spent a while assessing our problem. They fixed our plumbing issues and we can use our entire house. They are professional, realistic about timing and confident.

I had an estimate done 1 month ago for some plumbing g work and I called them 3 ti.es for the estimate and they kept telling me the estimator will contact me soon.

They offered great service. They were able to get me in for some important emergency needs faster than any other company I could find online. They cleaned up after themselves. I am giving them four stars because they were a bit pricey. But I guess plumbers are.....

We called to have a kitchen sink installedWhen they came the first time they said it didn’t fit so we called and had the counter adjusted then called them out again, my husband received a call at 2:45pm that they were on their way and would be there in 20-30 minutes but didn’t get here til 3:45pm. After he started I came out to ask a question but couldn’t find him. Well Mike G. took it upon himself to use my bathroom without asking and smelled up my entire house!! After he left I had to go in there and clean it up! SO GROSS!! He also didn’t wash his hands and wasn’t wearing a mask the entire time he was here. This company isn’t following CDC guidelines or just being clean by washing your hands.I have been trying to reach the owner and have left several messages but never got a response, obviously they just care about taking your money and nothing about customer service. After everything was finished it was $800 for a kitchen sink to be installed.Honestly you would be better off finding someone else for your plumbing needs!!

My husband and I are so pleased with our hot water tank. The quality of the tank is incredible. Dans sauntering was neat and tidy. Our house is old and the hot water tank is off of our family room, in our laundry room. In the past, our hot water tank has always been an eye-sore. Dan did such a good job of installation. Our tank was installed during COVID-19 and Dan was always masked, wore shoe booties and acted very professional in our home.The tank itself, we bought from Olsen is great. It comes with guarantees/warranties too! Olsen handled the permits with the city and to our surprise, our ventilation system within our laundry room door was sketch. Olsen remedied the situation completely and our tank and door pass inspection. They did everything needed to make it all happen. It was a turnkey operation from start to finish.I highly recommend Olsen Plumbing and Heating for any repairs that you may be facing in your home. My opinions are my own, I am never compensated for any of my reviews.

So, Olson Plumbing and Heating left me no choice but to give them five stars. They were supposed to arrive between 8-9. They showed up at 8:20. They said it would take 6-8 hours. They were done in 3 1/2 hours. The installers were so incredibly nice and professional. They were totally transparent and explained everything they were doing. It was just a very pleasant experience and I got a great price as well. I even told them before they left that I will probably need a new furnace in the next 2 years. Guess who Im calling? Thats right, Olson Plumbing and Heating.

Olson came highly recommended, and the individual that came out to take a look at the work that needed done was kind and knowledgeable, but after at least 6 calls over the course of a month, I never got a quote or a call back. I know these are crazy and busy times; a call or some communication about the project would have been appreciated.

Called Olson to repair hot water heater on Friday. Sent out tech Friday, after 2 hours determined the control was bad, also that there should have been a sediment trap and told me hed return on Saturday. Tech called me from local parts store to get serial and model number, once gave it to him he said he could not do the repair because it was under warranty under a different vender and we would not be charged for Fridays visit. We decided to forget the warranty and have Olson install a new one, they said they would install it Tuesday. Tuesday was installation day, billing was as follows $1299 for water heater, $240 expansion tank, $65 valves, $24 tees, then labor charges 2 hours for the Friday (overtime rate), the 1 1/2 hour for Saturdays 15 minute phone call (overtime rate), 1 hour reg rate for Tuesday GRAND TOTAL $2372.06 for A 40 gal hot water heater. Something just doesnt ADD up. Plus tech did not install the highly recommended sediment trap.

There are better, cheaper, and more reliable help out there... We wanted to get our AC up and running before the heat came. They came out and got the job done. The tech bypassed a safety switch to make sure it was functional. It was and he refilled my R22. Apparently he did not make sure the unit worked after he refilled my unit and unhooked everything. We came home with a 2 day old baby to turn on our AC and it did not work. I tried to get a hold of Olson and they responded a couple times via email but would never answer any questions I had. being around over 100 years and the good things I have heard around my office, I am very disappointed in how Olson handled everything after I paid them over $600.

I would highly recommend! We had an emergency plumbing issue and they called out another plumber because one plumber was already out on another job. I cant tell you how much we appreciated their professionalism, punctuality and reasonable pricing!

Driver of vehicle 74 pulled out in front of us. In an unsafe manner. When called company to report the driver the call went immediately to hold music without even saying company name.

I used Olson for years at my old house and got away from using them when they werent the low bidder on replacing my furnace. Affordable replaced the furnace at my old house and when I called them at our new house they promptly tried to screw me. They wanted to charge me just under $1000 to replace the inducer motor and collector box on our furnace. Parts were just over $200 so even with 100% markup on the parts that left $600 for an hours worth of labor. I called Olson and explained what was going on and they came and did the work for less than half of what Affordable wanted to charge me. Olson is a union shop and Affordable is a non-union shop but the union shop did the same job faster, better and cheaper than the non-union shop. Affordable is no longer welcome in my home and Im back to using Olson for all of our HVAC needs.

Olson was contracted to install a new Air Conditioning unit. I started the process on June 8th but the A/C wasnt functional until August 25. Ive had numerous visits I can count on both hands how many visits to correct all the installation problems. The new a/c unit wasnt secured to the foundation more importantly the condenser outside was frosted with a snow ball indicating all that cold air was trapped outside in 80 plus degrees . Not to mention the technicians soiled the carpet with their work boots as they were in and out of the home. On the very last visit they didnt even bother to notify that the work was completed and were leaving and left my home unsecured with an unlocked door. They say never say never but for the amount of money Olson was compensated in the future Id exhaust any other HVAC competitor before using Olson but with the warranty they are necessary and likely would be put to good use given so many issues with the installation not to mention summer is practically over so money was spent with no use for the unit as we move into fall and winter. Whats unfortunate on several visits they were training and I can imagine as a new hire its not a good feeling learning the improper way of installation and then coming back out to correct that installation job. All around just a very poor experience I wouldnt wish on anyone especially in a heat wave.

I am a small business owner that has been in Colorado Springs since 1986. We are fortunate to own our commercial buildings but that also requires repairs and maintenance.After 34 years of doing business we have found that Olson Plumbing and Heating are the best in the business. They are reliable, reasonably priced, but most importantly they are honest. I have experienced several companies that try and take advantage of the customers.My most recent experience occurred on Friday. A tenant in our building had an issue with their toilets and they called a different plumbing company to fix the issue. After several hours their conclusion was that there was a block in the line in the parking lot that would require the parking lot to be dug up, get a permit, and repair the line. Their estimate was between $8,000-$10,000.Fortunately the tenant contacted us to get permission to complete the repair. We told them we would not move forward with something like that without a 2nd opinion.We contacted Olson and they quickly found the block. It was NOT necessary to cut into the parking lot - just a simple repair.They came first thing Saturday morning and the repair is going to cost only around $500-700 dollars. Had the repair been done on a weekday it would have likely been cheaper (since they were coming on a weekend)This is a perfect example of why using a reputable and honest business is so important. Olson Plumbing and Heating have been in business for over 100 years for a reason.As an additional warning to consumers: the plumbing company that gave the $8,000-$10,000 estimate pays their employees a commission. Their employees have an incentive to increase the cost of the repair because they earn 3% of the repair. Olson plumbing employees work by the hour and only have the customers interest in mind.I highly encourage everyone to use Olson!

Thank you folks so much for installing my new water heater! I called and got an estimate over the phone (seriously! Awesome!) and was able to have someone come out the next day! The technician came and I was 10 minutes away, so I gave him the garage code. He went in and found the water heater and wrote up the estimate, before I even arrived. Thank you! Seriously, saved me a ton of time! I am a single mom and was really worried about how I was going to get this fixed, but they have by far the best rates I found in the city and great customer service. Elizabeth in the office was super sweet and helpful and my technician did a fantastic job! I couldnt stay (had to get back to work), so he locked up when he was finished and I came home to a brand new water heater. You guys have no idea how much of a relief this is for me! Our air conditioner stopped working properly on a Saturday night at 9pm. I looked through the telephone book for Air Conditioning companies that offered emergency services. Olson caught my eye because they have been around for over 100 yrs. I called and within a half hour Lowell showed up to our house and within the next half hour, had it fixed and running. Lowell was our hero that night and i will continue to use Olson for my regular check ups for Heating and Air as well as any issues i have with either unit. THANK YOU OLSON and Lowell for being there for us!!

We had an inspector come look at my water heater. He told me there wasnt a gas valve (turns out there was). It took 6 weeks of phone calls and emails to have someone come replace said gas valve. That was scheduled for 9am... They didnt show up, instead they sent someone out here 5 hours later who said gas valve is fine but your vents arent big enough and a pipe is 1in too long (he also had to mention that a customer is now without heat because he was pulled from a job to come to mine). Apparently its my fault that they cant meet the schedule they make. I said Ill just remove the door to fix said vent problem just cut the 1in pipe... 2 months to get them to take 5 minutes to cut 1in from a pipe, 170 dollars and finally ready for the city to inspect a damn water heater.

This company is by far, hands down the number 1 best, best in quality, best in performance, best in customer service, they treat their customers with kindness, courtesy and respect. They have no problem going the extra mile to help and solve problems for their customers, if you dont believe me then just put them to the test, you wont be disappointed !!

Great people and no what to do even on a 125 year old house

The plumber, Ellis, actually was great! He had to jackhammer a trench in my basement floor to repair a collapsing cast iron pipe. Terrible mess, but, got it done right.But, the crew that came in to clean up and pour concrete to fill in the trench did a terrible job! A big hump, about 15 feet long with holes and ridges. When asked if they intend to flatten it out and seal it, they said oh the guys who come out to lay carpet will fix it!! I was not going to lay carpet. I was putting down linoleum. They didnt care. And then they emptied a bucket full of concrete on my lawn!If this is in your future - watch out!

I have always used Olson for my plumbing problems as I have always found them to be reliable, trustworthy and honest. Yesterday I had a leak I noticed underneath the hot water tank. Olson sent a person right out, he was here in 5 minutes and he spent all of 5 minutes determining that it wasnt the hot water tank and that the sewer had backed up. He then advised me that he doesnt do the sewer work and called the person who does to come out. The first person charged $88.00 just to be here in 5 minutes and 5 minutes to tell me that the hot water tank was not the problem. I talked to the manager this morning and he agreed to refund 1/2 of the $88.00, which I am happy about, but still think for the amount of time that it took him to get here and the fact that he didnt spend 5 minutes here is rather excessive and disingenuous especially when I was unaware that it was up to me to diagnose plumbing problems correctly. I assumed that if Olson sent a truck out, that the person doing the plumbing was capable of sewer and any other plumbing problems and that they were equipped to do the job. They are not, So just a warning, know that Olson will charge you for a full hours work at $88.00 just to come out no matter how long they are there or if they do anything. Other than that I was pleased with the tech who cleaned out the drain, it was a mess and I appreciated his hard work. I remain hopeful that they are the same company I remember and that I have often referred others to. However, my experience with them in this situation has shaken my confidence in them.

Our house got hit by lightning and our AC stopped working. We called Olsen as they were the ones who instilled/permitted the unit when we bought the house. The technician was a cool guy, but he charged us for 6.5 hours of labor when he was at the house a total of MAYBE 4 hours. Olsen charges from the time of dispatch, so it includes drive time. Additionally, when we went to turn the unit on (3 days later) it kicked on for about 10 seconds then lost power completely. We called the after hours number to ask if someone would come out as it was working. We were told that even though we just spent a lot of money to get our ac working, they couldnt guarantee there wouldnt be a charge as, it may not be related to what was fixed. Once my AC is working again, I will NEVER be using Olsen again.

I have used Olson Plumbing and heating for several years both commercially at my offices and for my home. They are honest, dependable and fairly priced. Moreover, they know what they are doing saving me time and money. I would highly recommend them!

Very unhappy with this contractor. We had an issue that under a home warranty. The contractor completed the work and then told my wife the work was not covered. My wife felt very threatened by this man demanding money so she gave him our credit card. When I heard of this I contacted management. I was credited back and told that they would get the money from the warranty place. A week later my wife received a call saying the warranty place never paid. So I called and paid the bill. Then the Warranty place calls me and tell me I owe them because Olson charged the warranty card and had already received their money. They have been paid twice for the work and have told the warranty company I authorized the charges. This is just Horrible to take advantage of people. I will never recommend olson plumbing they have zero integrity.

New Years Eve and our main drain backed up. Husband did his best but we needed a professional to fix the problem. Called another company who turned out to be in Denver. Oh yes we have a technician in Colorado Springs they will be to you before 5pm At 4:45 received a call from them saying they didnt have a technician in the Springs! Husband called Olsons. Technician was at our house within the hour, did a great job, and the charge was less than the Denver company had quoted. Beware of Denver companies who will lie to you and leave you stranded! Thank You Olsons for sending Austin (great technician! ) and helping us when we needed it!

Had another company tell me i needed a clean out and it would cost me $4500.00. I called Olson Plumbing for a second opinion. They called me back immediately and sent someone over 2 hours later. They did my heating system, replaced the control board. Got the bill 0ver $1000. Found out the parts over charged $200 after Read the bill . The technician seems not skill on the area. He did not know what he need to do and calling his boss for instructions, I have to pay his learning experience .....

Called after hours on Valentines Day. The technician, Brett, addressed our furnace issue in an hour and a half of calling. Brett was very positive, professional and polite.

DisappointingOlson recommended, provided and installed a water heater for me in August 2006. Mine was 40 years old. The water heater would not stay lit. It went out after 20 minutes of warming, relit pilot light; 20 minutes…pilot and flame went out. Colorado Springs utilities came out twice to check water heater and furnace. They identified an issue with my furnace too. I called Olson to clean the furnace and repair the water heater.The tech arrived at 8:55am – handed me an invoice at 9:50am – Billed me for TWO hours of labor, requested and used my vacuum to clean the water heater and furnace, described the water heater igniter has a defect. The tech stated the new water heater part may only last two months…he didn’t know. He said it was due to dust on the filter - pulled the filter out, held it up to his eyes and said oh, this one isnt dirty at all, you can see right through it.I called the management who explained that the water heater got a good seven years of life! When I explained the experience with the tech (25 years experience) and that I had purchased the water heater from Olson - he agreed to give me a refund of 30 minutes labor. Really? He charged me two hours labor for a one hour job (explained that it includes drive time) and I live 10 minutes from their shop.Very disappointed in quality of service and response to my complaint. I will not use Olson again.

We used Olson Plumbing to remove sinks and associated plumbing from our home in Colorado Springs. We needed this done so we could have the countertops replaced. The plumber turned off the main water valve to the house and removed the sinks and plumbing. However, when he turned the main water valve back on he did not check the work he had done and he missed that one of the valves from a sink he had removed was still on. Water ran in my unoccupied home for nearly 30 hours. When I found the water was still running in the home I simply turned the valve that was left on to the off position and the water stopped running. I called Olson to put them on notice of the damage. They sent a tech/plumber out the same evening I found the leak. The tech stated the reasoning for the water running was a faulty valve. Im no plumber but even I know if the valve is turned and the water stops flowing, the valve seems to be working properly and is not faulty. Now I have thousands and thousands in damage to my home and Olson Plumbing is denying any and all responsibility. While I was deployed to Qatar, my wife called Olsen plumbing to fix a sewage smell in our basement. They came out, ran a snake, did something called a smoke test, charged us $446.50, and the sewage smell is still there. Bottom line, they charged us over $400 to fix nothing.

A different contractor did a sewer line job on the neighbors property that backs up to my property (the houses are back-to-back...no fence). The job ended up dragging on for weeks. One night I came home and found a large equipment trailer (think large horse trailer) parked in my driveway next to the house. This trailer belonged to Olson Plumbing who was working as a sub for the other contractor. I called the number on the trailer and left a voicemail, which was never returned. Someone stopped that night (prime contractor) to apologize for it being there and that it would be gone by 7:30 the next morning. Turns out it was a compressor that ran all night. The next afternoon it was still there when I returned home. I called the number on the trailer to have it removed, which was done that night. The next morning there were workers in my driveway stretching out sewer lining and backing a van up my driveway. I informed them I was done having them use my property for access and work area and asked them to use the easement if they needed needed some space. I was told it would only take 30 minutes and it was the “only way” they could do the job. When done, one individual (owner?) apologized for the intrusion and left.
