Amy is an excellent teacher. We have taken private lessons from her. She is able to recognize our strengths and weaknesses and then instruct individually. We have enjoyed learning and dancing. Dancing is a skill you can use for pleasure, exercise, and relationship building.We highly recommend Amy.

I held a baby shower there it was enough space to hold 100 people. The guests said the atmosphere was great. My decorations went along great with the lighting. The owner was very helpful and polite.

Amy is a great certified dance instructor . She has a great sense of humor but wants all her students to learn proper form and dance. Come join us for some fun. Its never to late to learn something new!!

My husband and I tentatively signed up for three dance lessons and nine months later we are still coming! Dancing has become our date night and gives us something to do together. Amy Hontos is a fabulous instructor. Her ability to read our mood/ability and to adjust her teaching style accordingly makes even the hard lessons enjoyable. Dance Masters Ballroom in Colonial Heights is Absolutely Fantastic! The Owner/Manager/Master Instructor, Amy Hontos, is the consummate professional and is a Certified Master Dance Instructor. Amy has it all in terms of teaching methods, styles, environment, humor, and a unique and fun way to teach. I highly recommend this Dance Venue to everyone! Our lives have been changed because Amys Ballroom Dancing has improved our health, both mentally and physically, and has allowed my spouse and I to do something special together that we really enjoy! It is never too late to share something this wonderful with that one person who you share your life with...You wont regret it!!!

The venue is beautiful but the owner’s attitude sucks. Would not rent this ballroom for another event even though it’s nice.

My wife Gina and I found Amy Hontos online. I called and spoke with Amy for 20 minutes asking all kinds of questions about her service.I realized that she was not only a professional but her customer service was top notch. She answered all of my questions with a smile and I was convinced to move forward and take a group lesson.I had never learned a structured dance before. Free style was more my speed as it is most folks. Gina enjoys East Coast Swing and that was the class I was going to take, the beginners class.I was nervous, of course, because I was venturing into unknown territory, but it was well worth it. The instructor was great and the folks taking the class were just like me, new and eager to learn.I can tell you this - every style has a basic step. Once you learn the basic step you can learn the different moves and build from there.Gina and I took the intermediate class and became better and we were able to enjoy the new moves we learned.Its nice to be able to walk on a dance floor and dance. Sometimes folks will give us room and we can see them watching and smiling as we enjoy what now comes natural, grace on the dance floor.Every now and then we make fumble a move, but hey, who cares?! We just keep going and we never look back.Dancing has improved the quality of our time when we go out. Its nice to be able to communicate without saying a word. When was the last time you did something with your significant other and both of you were smiling because of it?You only win when it comes to dancing. East Coast Swing is a simple and fun style that you can dance to with most songs that are played at intermissions.Thank you Amy. You are an amazing instructor.
