Purchased a playstation 4 slim 1TB on Sept. 4th.Got the device home on and device wouldnt turn on. Power button on console was jammed in bottom on console under power button was being pushed out. Also the ethernet cable port was damaged and the buttons on the console had what looked to be food particles around them. I immediately contacted the store and they informed me to bring the console back. Once I arrived back at the store the rep standing behind the counter gave me a hard time saying he could have techs look at the console but I would be responsible for the pricing of the repairs that the console needed. I then demanded a refund and informed the rep that I would no longer be doing any business with their company. Photos of damaged console will be included.

I had an appointment here for an FBI check. I showed up a few minutes before my appointment time. The door was locked. There were two employees, at the front, by the register. Im trying to enter, but Im not getting any attention from the employees who are 4ft away from me. No signs on the door or on the windows near the door, except covid mask wearing requirements. One employee went to the back office, the other employee stayed at the front. I called to say that I have an appointment at 10am. The employee who answered said we open at 10am. I said, oh, two minutes from now? I step further away from the building and finally see the store hours sign, two feet to the left of the door. Thats fine. Its my fault for not seeing the store hours sign or checking maps for store information. HOWEVER, customer service would have been for the two employees to acknowledge me at the door, press their finger to their wrist (for time) then point at the store hours sign. Thats not difficult for them and I dont consider it rude. Failure!

Bought a used and “tested” action replay and it arrived broken

The guys here repaired my Xbox elite controller after being told by many any other stores, including Microsoft, that I would have to buy a new controller. The repair was done in a timely fashion and the representative was honest about what they could and could not fix and the stayed under budget. If I ever have another repair needed on my tech I will definitely take it here. My thanks goes out to them.

I have a white limited edition PS4. So when it went out, I thought it was gone and my only option was to buy a new one. I called Hotspot and spoke to someone, who said the problem Im having can be fixed. Long story short. He brought my baby back to life like a skilled surgeon! He even replaced the top left cover (which was broken, unrelated) with one on a white PS4 he just happened to have in the back! I think its safe to say that you can trust this man with your electronics.

Always helpful staff, but not overbearing. Usually have something I want or am looking for. Not only do they have newer games and systems that you can pre-order, they also have everything you could possibly want for older/classic systems like accessories and games. Prices are reasonable and comparable to online.

Second time visiting the store yesterday.. Bought what was supposed to be a brand new wireless ps2 controller, I was out all day, Didnt get home until 9, get my controller out the bag... It was already open thru the back and Im like what!?... I take the controller out and its BROKEN! Also no charging cord.. This is really sad because an employee deliberately did this this isnt even a mistake.. Im on my way for a refund after this post

Great place to check out for a lot of retro games and gaming gear. Their PC repair team is pretty good too, though not the greatest. Sometimes it takes them a little longer than expected to fix the error (hardware or software) but they still get the job done for a pretty decent price. Also, expect to pay a pretty penny for some highly rated collectables.

A great local spot for video games from all eras as well as modern electronics. Great selection; theyre always adding new retro inventory. Good prices as well on most things. I go there 2-3 times a month and usually walk out with a good deal on something!

I think this is an incredible resource. Maintaining and building my retro/modded gaming collection can be tough when I have to wait to order supplies from out of town; its a luxury to show up here and return home with a memory card for a system released 20 years ago. Long live PS2!

I came to hotspot which happens to be right by house and had a wonderful experience with customer service from all employees including the owner and I didn’t know it was him until I was about to leave. He seemed generally concerned about what issue I had with the phone and gave me a great deal. Originally I was looking for a way to save money but because the experience was so good I ended up taking an iPad that has been broken for three years up there to have it fixed also. Customer service is everything in this place has it, I highly recommend it

I stopped by today about a phone to replace my broken one and they were very honest and perfectly wonderful about my options.They answered every question I had, and didnt push me in either direction. Even during the phone call the day prior, they were beyond helpful and informative with excellent phone etiquette. Ill definitely be back soon and recommend their business.

My wife and I highly recommend Hot Spot. They have repaired several items for us over the years and recently, when my wife’s phone screen was shattered, they patiently talked us through options, answered our questions, and provided a prompt and skilled repair. When her screen was shattered a 2nd time just 4 days later (not a problem with the screen – just a second unlucky drop of the phone), my wife went back to Hot Spot, and the owner was incredibly understanding and worked with my wife to defray the cost of the second replacement so soon after the first. He had no obligation to do so, but he did. This business puts customers first, and we will always turn to HotSpot for our electronics repairs.

Great store with friendly staff and varied selection. They had all the latest games, plus a great catalog of older games and systems. Even had some cool rare stuff, like the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for SNES. Store was also neat and well organized. Used game prices were much better than competitors.

A friend of mine recently took her ps4 here to be fixed as it was not working. When they told her it was fixed and ready for pick up she came and got it. When she got home she tried to plug it in and play but it still didnt work. She paid over $100 for this company to rip her off and not even do anything to fix it. She called to complain and was met with accusations of ger lying and was told she would not get any money back. They told her if she wanted to bring it back in it would cost an additional $100 on top of what she already paid to have it fixed the first time. This leads me to believe they thought she was stupid and could be easily ripped off. I do not recommend this place to anyome.

I went in for some minor repair work for a circuit board. Everyone was nice and polite. The repair took only about 20 minutes and was fairly priced. While I waited I had a great time looking over all the games new and old. They have a corner set up specifically for retro gaming. If you miss the only NES/SNES and SEGA systems and games you can find them here. They also seem to do a lot of repairs on phones so if I ever have an issue Id go there first.

Okay, prices are about the same as Walmart, but they have used products. So your better going to Walmart

Three-star retro-gaming store. Some staff are friendly and communicative while others are rude, dismissive, and convey that inquiries about items are an inconvenience. Low-end items are priced fairly-well, sometimes shockingly well. However, high demand items are marked up by as much as 75%! When confronting staff about overpriced items, it was communicated that all items were fairly priced using eBay and PriceCharting. I compared the overpriced item with the updated list price to demonstrate the price divide and staff dismissed the difference with “I don’t know what to tell you. I just work here”. In summary, some good deals here, just be wary of way overpriced items.

Was my first time visiting this location. Very friendly as soon as you walk in the door but as soon as you mention similar stores way overpricing older games, there was not another peep out of any one working there.And after a quick glance, the older games were just as overpriced, several marked even higher than on ebay.. If I want to shop on ebay, Ill stay at home and shop on ebay and in the case of this store, get something even cheaper than what they sell for there. They even had a used repro-copy of Gun Nac for NES for $30!? There were titles that you couldnt see prices on and when inquired about the amount, they couldnt even be bothered to walk over and take it out to look. Dont waste your time here if you like to play older games.

If youre a gamer or collector this store is worth checking out to add more to your collection. They deal in games across all eras from classics like Atari all the way up to current gen of PS4 and Xbox One. A lot of the pre-owned games have great prices that it may lead to impluse purchases. The more rare or sought after games in and behind the counter can be costly at times but those prices are not any worse and generally better than a lot of the listings youll find on Amazon. $10 bucks gets you a membership for the year which in my case definitely pays for itself with the monthly incentives. And if they dont happen to have what you are looking for they can put it on a wishlist and give you call when it does make its way into the store. Ive beefed up collection thanks to HotSpot and I know Ill find myself going back again. Seriously gamers and collectors, if you are in the area give the store a shot, much better and friendlier than any GameStop Ive been to and they beat out 2nd and Charles as well.
