I contacted Alton Tree Service to have a sweet gum tree removed. I got a hold of Dennis Wallace, the owner, to get an estimate for removal. He came by and was nice and talkative. He gave me a good price and we set the work up for yesterday. Originally he had said it would only take about 4 hours. 7:00 came and went so I texted him about if he was still coming and what his eta was and he said 9ish. Well 10:30 came and went so I asked him if he was at the right house. He laughed and and said he would try and be out after lunch. Never came, never heard another word from him. Hopefully he see this and comes and cuts my tree down. As a follow-up we finally made contact with each on Wednesday and have worked out some details. His chipper apparently went down on Monday and is in the shop. He came and cut the tree down and did exactly what i hired him for.

Did the job when they said they would at a fair price!Had a nice crew i would recommend them to anybody needing tree work!

Best lumberjack in the woods. A little pricey but decent quality

Terrible experience they didnt top the tree the way i wanted but the way they wanted. They broke a picket and splintered the top rail on my fence and didnt say anything to me about it. Then the clean up took a week or 2 to get them back to clean up. Left sticks and chips along the outside of the fence. Not to mention the ruts they left in the yard and didnt bother to fill in. Definitely wont recommend them to anyone.

Their crew blocked my driveway, then used my driveway with out permission to pull all the neighbors tree limbs out in the street. They left wood chips, oil stains, limbs, and the rock that they dragged out of my driveway into the street. I cleaned up most of it and then called their office to let them know. The two old gentlemen that came out were rude and downplayed their mess. After kicking some rocks back in my driveway and making several smart mouth comments, they left. I finished cleaning up their mess myself. Hire someone who can show respect and consideration to others, hire a true professional.

Did a great job removing a tree from our back yard! Delivered on what they promised!
