My sister was using Standard, and sang their praises to me, so i checked them out.I couldnt be happier with Standard Insurance Agency. I just saved slightly over half the price for the exact same level of full coverage insurance for a 2016 Honda CR-V that I had been paying Progressive Auto for. The agent I worked with, Ricardo Cardenas, was completely knowledgeable about all the aspects of the coverage options, and able and willing to explain everything logically and well. I trust what people say when what they say makes actual sense, and when Ricardo says something, it actually makes sense. Its rare to find his level of competence, combined with someone very nice to work with.I also enjoyed and appreciated the professionalism and nice personality of Wayne Shepard, the branch manager.Candidly, I would have been content with just getting a Good product at a great price. But ti was also very enjoyable because of all the nice folks there.Standard has earned my highest praise and recommendation - and Im not easy to please.

Been with them for three years now and they have been very good. Initially I was disappointed that they didnt offer rental insurance but you work around that and keep moving. They always answer when I call and have the answers I need to point me in the right direction.

Michelle was Wonderful. I called her yesterday inquiring about my account and advised that Allstate was wanting to give me a quote. She asked if I wouldnt mind her taking a look see at my policy and premium and see that she could do. She reached out to me this afternoon with a new rate of +$40 per month lower than my current monthly premium. I am over the moon grateful! EVERY time I contact Standard Insurance, even if just to update my address or ask a question, their staff is ALWAYS professional, kind, and enjoyable to chat with. Cody from Standard called and left a very detailed voice message letting me know that since we added our homeowners insurance and since I’d been with them for over 5 years that they had reduced my car insurance premium by $25 dollars a month and that he was going to try and get me more discounts since I’ve had a good driving record. I then received an email that my monthly insurance premium had dropped another $30....I was SHOCKED. Thanks Cody, what excellent customer service. I appreciate you.

I recently had to change my policy to a newly purchased vehicle. I had the pleasure of working with Kim Colwell. She was extremely helpful and the experience could not have gone better! I was with one of the big national insurance companies for 12 years with no accidents or tickets. I got into ONE not at fault accident and they jacked our premiums up almost double. Standard Insurance quoted us LESS than we were even before the accident—and that was even knowing we had just been in an accident. I haven’t experienced the claims process yet because I just got them, but there’s no way they could be worse than the people at my last company.

I’m not really sure why all the bad reviews.I’ve had the for over 6 years with no issues. Two accidents later (one my fault and one not at fault) and they still beat the competition by a mile.I will say they do need to improve responsiveness a bit but not a deal breaker. At the end of the day, they’re an insurance company out to make money. Business is business. I always advice people to ALWAYS buy gap insurance and always hire a lawyer.Over all a reputable business for bare bones insurance that’s pays out.

Want An Insurance Advocate? Call Donna Swisher! I have a CONFESSION, Im old! Ive had many different policies with many different companies and it seems they are all the same. I am faithful with my premium and the moment I need them, their MO is to delay, delay, delay, and finally deny. However, this was not my customer service experience with Donna Swisher and Standard. ABSOLUTE BEST INSURANCE COMPANY!!! Almost 3 years ago I switched from the Company I had been with for almost 10 years because they were not willing to come down in price at all. I called Standard and they cut my policy cost by over 50%!!! Today I had the privilege of adding our new home to our policy which included an additional discount on our Auto Policies. Kimberly Cowell was AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to work with. Jokingly I asked if they had a Broke Dad Discount? She giggled and obviously stated that was not a thing but then put me on hold and came back somehow with an additional discount off my sons insurance. If that was not enough, Kimberly then CALLED ME BACK after our transaction was complete and asked me a few additional questions that resulted in even more discounts.Not only is Standard the most reasonable priced insurance I have found, but Kimberly has to be THE SWEETEST PERSON I HAVE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH!Great Job Standard!

They literally cancelled my insurance due to False information. Yet the man I spoke with did not go into detail with me about a claim that had been reported against me. He said he would email it to me and never did. Next thing I know, my insurance is cancelled. I thought it was weird he was emailing me instead of giving me details over the phone but I figured thats how they do things there. I called to make sure this wasnt incorrect and the lady verifies it is. I didnt ask her any questions, at this point Ill just find me a new insurance company that isnt so old school. Gotta wait for a damn letter to arrive in the mail to know what goes on with my account because their online services sucks!

HONEST REVIEW!!I’m a Male under 25 years old. I have about 5 traffic violations on my record. (No wrecks) And I pay 182$ a month for my insurance. I do not own my vehicle. I make payments each month. I honestly can’t believe the price for the situation I’m in. For us Men under 25 with a new car we make payments on. It’s pretty impossible to get insurance coverage for less than 280$ or more a month. After me and my parents decided Standard Insurance was the cheapest place to go. We called and got everything set up. I was covered and had Documents emailed to me stating my vehicle was covered in about 4 hours or less. It was fast and easy and cheap. But now we get to the flaws of this insurance. I’m still young and this is the first time I’ve had my own insurance on my car. But about a week and a few days after I was supposedly covered. I got pulled over for speeding (entrapment 100%) and I showed the officer my emailed documents stating I was covered. The Reason I had to show him the emails was because he ran my license plate and it showed that I was not covered by any insurance company since may. IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER. My auto insurance was said to be in effect as of AUG. 21st 2020. That was very alarming to me and I was glad I had the emails or I would have gotten a huge ticket and would have to fight it in court. On top of this, there is no app for this insurance company and it is very hard/Confusing to set up auto pay. It’s 2020 almost 2021. Auto Draft Payments are easy and what most people are looking for. But the way the website is made is awful. I tried setting up auto draft for my next payment in October. And I’m not ever sure if it went through and is going to come out as it says. Also the Documents you will receive state that the auto insurance you are receiving is by Old American County Mutual Fire Insurance. This is confusing and kind of alarming to me as I’ve never heard of this company, not even from the representative that help set up my insurance. The Rep I talked to was nice and answered my questions and responded to emails in a timely manner.Overall: This Company seems very Sketchy. The Price is EXTREMELY CHEAP and you can have coverage almost immediately. But there is a lot of things that do not make sense about it, and leave you confused on what company you are doing business with.

I have never dealt with an insurance that is so unprofessional like this one. One of their insured clients hit me, however this company claimed they are not liable for the claim because is their client words vs mine. If you get a professional person to actually come out and inspect and not theirs, you can clearly see who was at fault. The claim process was an actually nightmare. Customer service was terrible and the adjuster was rude and unprofessional. This is what happens when you opt for cheap insurance. I always advised friends and family to always get the best company possible so that the other person can get taken care of. This is a huge inconvenience for me because of what Standard Insurance. I will bring this forward to the Texas State of Insurance.

Beware! I cannot believe that they send a check to the policy holder to get the repairs done. After you get the check in your name and your lien holders name, you have to send the check to your lien holder to get endorsed and they will mail it back to you. Then you deposit the check to pay for the repairs out of your checking account less the deductible if you have one. If the repair shop estimates more repairs they have to barter with Standard to get the repairs paid. This is an old school process to protect Standard but inconvenience the customer. The Claims Adjuster, Jesse was unprofessional. He claims he’s been in the business for 20 years but was very impatient. I was trying to understand the process and he couldn’t care less about my customer experience. Please do your research and don’t work with these people. It’s not worth it if you ever actually need to file a claim. Jason Moss the supervisor is the only saving grace there. He is an angel and very kind! They need to all model after him.

I had seen the Standard Insurance commercials on TV and decided to call for a quote on a brand new vehicle I purchased last weekend. I have an extremely busy schedule and little patience for things such as adjusting insurance, which always seem to be tedious and time consuming. Rachel honestly made all the difference, working with me quickly and efficiently and telling me exactly what she needed to get me set up. I was also pleasantly surprised that the insurance quote she gave me what half of what I was paying elsewhere.The switch was easier than I ever could have expected and Im confident thats due to Rachels knowledge and understanding of her job, and also her willingness to accommodate customers swiftly.I believe credit is due to people that are outstanding at what they do and they should be rewarded/acknowledged accordingly. When I first joined Standard they were great. However, lately I have found they have been completely non chalant and they move with no sense of urgency after I filed a claim with them . I have had to call several times to get anything done . I found out after having another individual review my policy that they did not provide me the coverage I was promised . This put me at a great risk for the past 3 years . When I brought this to the attention of a manager, she did absolutely nothing to resolve the matter or to try and keep me as a customer . For a company that advertises on a Christian radio station they sure do not act Christian . I have taken my business to AllState and have already been treated ten times better. I will never recommend anyone join Standard nor will I ever do business with such a company ever again.

Worst experience ever....currently trying to resolve a claim and their phone lines are busy and have been all day. How does a major corporation not have someone to answer the phone? We cant even get someone to email back. Its been a month since the collision....and we are still waiting. My husband and I are at a loss at this point. I’ve been dealing with this company since January of this year. Their insured hit my car and they have been dragging their feet to get ahold of their insured to even submit their statement. They do not provide updates about the status of the claim and there is no correspondence submitted unless you put in a complaint against them with Texas Dept Of Insurance (which I recommend to do). If you are hit by someone with this company GET A LAWYER or submit the claim through your insurance.

This is my first policy with this company. Standard dose not offer insurance for real world situations. They very slow to pay claims and do not offer car rental. This company has very poor customer service; when I would call to them to check on the status of my situation, it seems as though the front desk person was sleeping or eating. I had an accident on 08/06/2019; I called them immediately to explain what happened. They assigned me to Rebecca to handle my claim. An adjuster was out to look at my car within 10 business days and a check was sent to me about 5 days later. I took my car to the body shop right away. Rebecca said that everything that comes in office has a 24 hour processing time. The body shop was on top of getting things done. They sent an email for a supplement two different times because the adjusted continued to leave items off that needed repair. I continued to call Rebecca to see why things were taking so long. She was rude and condescending when I had questions and concerns. I was having to pay for a rental car myself which is very expensive. She didnt care at all and offered solutions to my questions or concerns. I had the body shop rep call after the second supplement email because I told him I wasnt getting anywhere. She was rude to him as well; she said the she had sent a screenshot of the check when she had not. I was CCd on both emails. No replies on both emails. The body shop had my car ready for pick up a few days, but Rebecca was not responding properly. This insurance company is cheap. So, if youre in a financial bind, I say call them. I will never do business with this insurance company again and currently looking new coverage. I have learned my lesson for going with a no-name budget insurance company. I did not pick up my car until 09/12/2019!!

Extremely disappointed with this insurance company. Never in my life have I experienced such poor insurance claim processes. I guess you get what you pay for. Stay away from this joke of a company. Signed.....soon to be a former client.

Ive never worked for a finer company. Ive worked for companies before who claimed to be Christian, but the owners and management really make us feel at home and like family. Its something Ive always wanted to experience in the workplace. As a company to work for, theres nowhere better.

My husband and I came here today to update his policy with them and add me with an SR -22 and temporary revoked license not only were we told it was not possible, which it is, but when the lady at the front desk called her manager to confirm they dont do that she was extremely rude call me his girlfriend or whatever after she had already been told we were married several time and I even offered up proof of marriage license. Im surprised they have any customer with that type of uneducated and rude behavior. We will be switching his insurance as well after the month paid for is over because this girlfriend or whatever, she wont be dealing with that crappie customer service ever again.

I love this ins company. My husband had a wreck and the claims adjuster worked to get us the most for our totalled vehicle. Our rates are low and I have never had issues with customer service.

Prices are extremely low! Everytime I go into the office they are so friendly. Payments can be done online so I rarely have to call. Ive gone with them for 3 years now and Im so thankful I decided to check them out! They have saved me hundreds of dollars every year!

We refer hundreds of people because we are in the real estate industry. Never again will we use Standard Insurance. Like the other reviewers - our cars and home got hit with hail. Not only worst customer service but the estimates were a joke. The experience other companies offer is far superior. Go with another company, the 5 star reviews are clearly fake. You can see by my profile I never give 1 star reviews. Congratulations Standard for ruining our weekend.

The customer service is horrible. The lady in Hurst treated me badly because I had my children with me and the office is extremely unfit for children. And she was rude because I put N/A on the insurance form and apparently am supposed to know their policies on their forms. All this after telling her its been a rough day. Im really sad that theyre playing Christian radio because this place does not show the love of Christ.

I will never use this Insurance company again, nor will we ever refer anyone to this company. After my car got hit we had the worst Customer experience our claim handler was Russel he was rude to say the least. We switched companies after the accident and never looked back. They have great monthly prices. You get what you pay for beware dont file a claim under your Insurance if you have them. It will ruin your impression of their service. Wish I could give them a ZERO.

I was rear ended on March 13th on 635. The person that hit me was insured by Standard Insurance and I got her info and contacted Standard immediately. I completed all requirements and the adjustor came out the following Monday and was very nice and let me know that someone would be in touch with me within the week. I never heard from anyone and began calling the office to check on my claim. I was told someone would be back with me on Friday, April 12th. I never heard from anyone so I called today April 15th which is one month since the accident. I was hung up on and was told that they cannot reach their client so therefore they will not process the claim until they can reach them. I feel that they did not communicate with me through the process and did not advise me of the fact that they had not reached their client until today and that they will not move forward until they do and if they dont, then I have to contact my agent and get it handled through my insurance. Very poor service from the claims office and I was treated with disrespect. Confusing to me that it is required by law to carry liability insurance and they are taking her premium payments but because she is not returning their calls - I have to be out my deductible, etc. Their level of professionalism and lack of communicating with me has been very disappointing and the fact that the attitude is that Im just out of luck. I would give a zero star if it was available.

Company may seem great at first but once you file a claim they are horrible to work with. No sense of urgency and they act like they don’t care. I’m going back to Geico.
