I usually dont write reviews, but this time I felt compelled to do so.Four years ago, I hired Americas Choice Roofing to put a new roof on my home. It wasnt an insurance claim, the house just needed a new roof. My experience with ACR at that time went very well. There was great communication, the work was good and the follow-up was courteous and timely.The recent hail storm damaged my four year-old roof and my insurance company determined it needed to be replaced. Based on my past experience with ACR, I decided to use them again. In addition to the roof, they were to replace my skylight, flue cap, gutters, downspouts and also re-roof my shed. This time the experience was not so great. It actually seemed more like what you would get from one of the pop-up roofing companies that appear after a bad hail storm. Communication was great on the way up to the install date. On that day, ACR showed up and began working on the roof. They re-roofed the house and the shed, then packed up and left. Went I went outside there was a huge mess. Asphalt and roofing nails all over the place and pieces of my gutters were left just laying on the ground. Part of the metal covering along the roof edge was bent outward like some tried to pull it off and then just left it. It has since come loose and is now just hanging from the roof. No one followed up with me after they were done and I had to call the salesman the next day and ask what was going on and when they were going to finish the job. I was told they were behind and would get to it in a couple of weeks. In the next couple of weeks I received zero communication from ACR. No one came to inspect the roofing work and make sure everything was done properly, no one called to update me on the gutters. Then, I get a phone call at 8:30 p.m. from the salesman wanting me to pay ACR. As you can imagine, by this time I am very upset and disillusioned with the whole ordeal, so the phone call did not go well. I stated that I would pay them when they finished the job I hired them to do. He started in again about them being behind. Look, I understand wanting to get as much work out of this hail storm as you can, but over-selling jobs to the point of not being able to meet your obligations is not the way to do it. At least, not from a customers point of view. A few days after the second phone call, the salesman called me to tell me to find someone else to do the gutters. During this call I asked about the skylight and he informed me that they had not replaced the skylight, something he failed to mention earlier when he attempted to collect money from me. Overall, I am sorely disappointed with the way ACR has handled this deal and will not be using them again.

Owner was rude and said he was to busy to deal with my roof damage in a timely manner. Had a new roof put on by his company a few years ago with no problem. Told him that I had great service from Chuck Allen but he was no longer with the company. Owner said he taught Chuck everything he knew about the roofing business and did not need my business.

I love doing business with local companies, and this is a family owned business that has earned its reputation by providing good workmanship, friendly customer service, and dedicated follow-through.After the hailstorm a month or so ago, I joined the crowd of people trying to get damaged roofs replaced. Hannah was my contact person and she helped me negotiate the world of insurance and roofing from beginning to end. She was always available and responsive to texting. She made many visits to my home to follow up on various details, which is all the more impressive at a time when it seems that everyone in B/CS had hail damage to their roofs. Hannah’s knowledge is extensive, and there was no job she wouldn’t tackle: climbing all over my roof, checking the stifling hot attic in 100-degree heat, and wearing a face mask during the pandemic. I am incredibly grateful for her taking the lead in negotiating with my insurance company and providing the proof to convince them that my gutters & downspouts were also damaged and should be replaced. She didn’t hesitate to return a second time to take more pictures at their request.The day scheduled to replace the roof went so smoothly and quickly it was unbelievable! I returned from an early morning walk to find two trucks already parked on the street at 6:30am. There was a big and clearly very experienced crew who were finished by 11:00am. They did a thorough job of clean-up, including checking for dropped nails and hauling off an old satellite dish they removed, as well as all other trash. Hannah followed up with another nail check and thorough inspection of the entire roof and attic (solar vents were installed). She is in the process of following up with the order of new gutters and downspouts to be installed by a specialized crew. I have no doubt that this job will also be well done.America’s Choice Roofing really embodies what I love about local family owned businesses: reliability, efficiency, reasonable costs, and personalized service! Even though they must be super stressed trying to meet the needs after the big hailstorm, they delivered great service. I am so proud and delighted with my beautiful new roof and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!!

After trying to reschedule our appointment the day of, they sent out a guy named Gary who claimed to be the owner and an insurance adjuster. My husband informed him we would be paying out of pocket for our roof repair, which is when he told us he was an insurance adjuster and would need to contact our insurance compant directly. He then said our roof was totalled after only seeing one level, shingle prices were now 8 times the price and we had to replace the gutters. When he was told we did not want to replace the gutters he said we didn’t know what we were doing, and if we’re not gonna do anything he’ll just leave. So my husband asked him to leave, and as he did, this man from the company mentioned he has a connection with local police.Very rude, condesending, felt threatening, and absolutely did not listen to our wants and needs. He also left chalk marks on our roof, which I’m sure rain will wash away, but still annoying after this kind of interaction.

Judy and I chose Americas choice roofing because of Mike Hubbard who we found to be very knowledgeable about roofing and sincere with us in every aspect of our roof replacement and repairs that were needed. Mike was involved from start to finish on our job and that meant a lot to us. He didnt get a signed contract and leave, but stayed with us and kept us informed of what was needed to see that our roof was replaced properly.The roofing crew that replaced our roof was very good at what they did and I know we have a quality roof which was properly installed that should last us for a long time.I recommend Mike and Americas Choice Roofing Company without any reservation.

We absolutely loved working with America’s Choice from the beginning to the end of our roof experience! Hannah was extremely knowledgeable and let us know all of our options. After we signed, she worked with our insurance to get them to cover even more damage they found and that was all handled directly with them. The roofers were great and respectful of our home, and then Hannah came and did a final inspection along with another sweep for rogue nails. Our roof turned out amazing and we have gotten great compliments from the neighbors on how quickly it was done and how much they love the new color! So glad we have a roofing company we can trust for any future needs!!

Working with Hannah Spivey was truly a wonderful experience. We were very careful about which roofing company we would choose for our home, I received 4 quotes from several different companies in town and interviewed all of them when they came out to our house. I was most impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail Hannah displayed so we chose Americas Choice. It has now been around a month since our house was re-roofed and it looks wonderful. Getting a new roof is a large investment so make sure you are using a reputable company like Americas Choice who is going to do it right so it will last 20-30 years like it is supposed to!

From start to finish my experience with Americas Choice was great! Michael Hubbard was super friendly and knowledgeable and made the process very easy. He helped us tremendously with our insurance claim and was always available any time we had a question. I was so impressed with Mr. Hubbard, I referred Americas Choice Roofing to a few friends and family members to have some work done before I even had work done on my own home. Once everything was good to go we were scheduled to get our roof. They were so efficient that we actually got moved up a week. When the crew showed up with Mike Hubbard they set tarps out to catch the debris. I felt that they treated our home just like it was their own. We were informed as well about damaged underlying issues prior to installation that was discovered after removal of the old roofing. They removed, repaired and replaced the damaged boards. Mike walked around with my wife and I just to ensure that we didn’t have any other questions or concerns. Be very careful with this company. They advertise they hand nail every nail but if you own a older home and dont want to spend extra money on new decking they use a air gun instead. They leave big gaps between any vent pipes you have on the roof and the shingles. We have used them twice and both times I had to go behind them and caulk around the pipes to stop leaks. If you do use them make sure you are home when they finish and inspect the work if possible. Wont be using them this time after the last storm.

Richard Martinez was great. He was very helpful & explained how things worked through insurance claims very easily. He took care of everything. Richard & his crew got our storm damaged roof repaired quickly & has followed through with checking in on it after it had rained to make sure there was no issues. I used Americas Choice Roofing 2 years ago when a section of my roof needed repair. I was told by another roofing company that I needed a new roof and they also tried to convince me to get a much more expensive metal roof. I called Americas Choice Roofing and Richard inspected my roof and said that it was in overall good condition and he would recommend only fixing the area with damage. I appreciate his honesty even when it meant making less of a sale. The work was great and done in a timely manner. I am now selling my house and wanted a quote for roof replacement as was asked by the buyer. Richard came out, inspected not only the roof but the rafters and let me know that the roof was fine and needed no repairs. I appreciate his honesty now and two years ago. Americas Choice Roofing will always be the roofer I call/recommend as the work is great and they treat customers with respect and honesty.

Chris Farris was wonderful dealing with our roofing needs. He offered several types of roofs, showed up pictures and actually gave us time to decide what we wanted. He was not pushy or persistent and let us pick the roof that we thought would be the best color and roof type for our home. We had talked with several other companies before deciding to let Americas Choice Roofing take care of our new roof. The total project from start to finish, including clean up took 2 days and it is absolutely beautiful. Chris came out the day it was completed and went around and picked up the nails, which there were not many and congratulated us on the finished project. I really didnt have a clue as to who to call about getting a new roof put on my house. I asked other people in my neighborhood on Nexdoor.com who they would recommend. Americas Choice Roofing was one of the recommendations along with several others. Randy Krumrey with Americas Choice roofing came out to give me an estimate. After climbing down from my roof, he advised me that I didnt need a new roof yet because it appeared that the old roof was in good shape for being 15 years old & still had a couple more good years left in it. Randys honesty really impressed me because 3 other roofing companies that came out before him did not mention this. They just submitted an offer to me. Even though I could have waited a couple more years to have my roof replaced, I had the money & decided to have it done. Because Randy was very nice & honest, I called him back & told him to give me an estimate because I decided to have my roof replaced after all. Randys offer was the second lowest that I received & he revised his offer to match the lowest one that I had received from another company. I was so impressed with Randys honesty that I chose his company to do the job. Randy sat down with us & did a great job of explaining everything to us about the job that his company would be doing for us. His roofing crew was great!!! They were there early in the morning & got to work immediately removing the old shingles. They did a great job installing my new roof & cleaning up after they were through! Randy came to our house & climbed on the new roof to do his final inspection. There were no issues that needed to be fixed! Americas Choice replaced our roof in May 2019 and our experience was fantastic! Upon removal of the existing shingles they found several improper construction methods previously used (most of the decking wasnt even nailed down), pointed them out and explained them to us, and then corrected those issues prior to installing the new roof. The work site was kept as clean as could be expected during a project such as this and when all was done, everything was cleaned up and we found a minimal number of nails afterwards. With an impending chance of rain the crew even stayed until well after dark to make sure the roof was adequately covered and protected. We would definitely use Americas Choice for any future needs.

I learned I had a major roof leak with damaged decking. This company came out and covered the leak and started the process to get a new roof installed. Very fast service, roof is so nice. Clean up was beyond words, crew ran the nail picker each day before they left. I can not say enough about the owners and employees and I don’t often give recommendations. However, so pleased with this company, I am about to undertake another project the installation of gutters!

Randy Krumrey did an outstanding job of helping us figure out which roof options we wanted and then took care of making it happen ... on schedule. We got what we paid for. Have done two roofs with the company, one on our home and one on a rent house trailer home. Both were done professionally. We had one installation problem that showed up a few weeks after the installation, and Randy immediately drove out and fixed it.Im very pleased with the aesthetics and function of the roofs we have had them install.

Scope was new roof, backyard fence, and interior repairs resulting from severe storm damage. AC was fast, responsive, and did quality work. After only owning our home for 5 years, we were completely lost on anything that had to do with our Roof. Our neighbors recommended America’s Choice Roofing and we couldn’t be more thankful! I LOVE Americas Choice Roofing! Gary and Frances are wonderful. They were so patient and knowledgeable and our roof is beautiful. They took the time to show me homes our area with the exact color that I picked out to ensure it is what I wanted. The new roof changes the way the entire house looks. If I could give Gary six stars I would. Had an entire section of our roof replaced as well as part of another. They also got rid of our leaky sky lights, framed them in, and did the drywall and painting. All done at a very reasonable price and in a timely manner. We have had no issues with rain since. Gary was honest about the extent of the damage and fixed it properly. He will be the first call if/when the rest of the roof needs replaced. Would recommend to all.

Terrible unresponsiveness, unreliability and rudeness. Mike Hubbard saw my roof. He said he would send an estimate and proposal the next day. He didnt. I sent him two gentle reminders 3 and 7 days after his visit, and he ignored both. Then 16 days after his visit, after the rain had already done a lot of damage to my place, I called him to see if he would finally get back to me with an estimate. He talked to me rudely and said he was with a customer and would call later. Needless to say he didnt, just another lie. His word has no value. Find another solution.

We are very satisfied with our new roof. There was a supervisor here all the time it was being put on.The salesman, Kendall Hart, just stopped by one day as it was very clear we did need a new roof and was planning on doing this in April or May. I would recommend this company to others and my husband has already done so.

Great service! Chuck showed up on time for our appointment, was professional and friendly. He gave me a very fair quote for the work and actually was able to take care of the issue while he was there.

Not very happy. When someone tells me they are going to call me,,,,and they dont. That is very irritating. I have water coming into my home causing more damage and promptness is important. A Mr. Martinez stated that he would get back with me the following day and I never heard from him. I called the office and Mr. Martinez called me stating that he would call me Wednesday. Never heard from him. Im not pleased. I know Im not the only one out there with roof issues but, Dont tell me your going to call me. Then dont. Not a good impression.

Mike Hubbard with Americas Choice Roofing has helped us replace our roof twice in Bryan Texas due to hail storms. Mike was very responsive and worked through all of the issues with the Insurance company. The work performed by Americas Choice Roofing is first class. Great Job!!

Our new roof is complete and we couldnt be happier! The appraiser, Chuck Allen, was always on time, very professional and extremely attentive to detail. We signed our contract and roof replacement began two days later - wow! The roofing crew was very courteous and made sure to leave our property in good shape after day one and on the final day you had trouble even knowing they had been here. We noticed a minor issue with our water heater vent pipe a couple of weeks after the roof had been replaced and Chuck, along with the owner, Gary Spivey, came by and quickly took care of it. I would highly recommend Americas Choice Roofing for your roof replacement - you wont be disappointed!

My parents had a roof put on 4 years ago and have had to have repairs to their ceilings twice since that time. America’s Choice Roofers came out and put some glue on the roof once and informed my dad if he called again he would be charged despite their “warranty”. Tomorrow they are having a whole new roof put on as the new contractor said the initial roof put on by ACR is flawed in more ways than one. Do NOT use ACR.

I called to get an estimate for a leak which was caused by the metal flashing being cut too short. I was concerned about the cost but Chuck said it wasnt going to be a big job. He needed to get with the carpenter since the fascia board was rotten. I never heard back from Chuck. I guess my job wasnt big enough or worth the effort. I had to call another roofing company.

Left a huge mess of nails all over my driveway and yard. My dog was injured on the nails left in the yard and I was left with shoddy work, a mess, and a large emergency vet bill to pay. I do not recommend using this company.

I wanted a estimate to fix a issue with siding on the roof of my house. I never received a return phone call or estimate to this date. If my house does need a roof repair in the future...I will not contract with this company. Poor service.

Avoid this company at all cost! Save your time and energy because at the beginning Mike Hubbard will make you think your home will be of number one status. Then once you pay and rain from Harvey comes leaving water stains on your ceiling you will not have to go through avoidance from Mike. Well this was our experience. Mike was over our new roof - replaced this past July. We were pleased. But when I called the office after the rain on August 28th, Mike came out and he told my husband that we had a rotten chimney. He told him that they had been hired for the roof and not the chimney. Mike could have easily informed us of chimney issues but adding solar vents were of more interest to him. Mike told my husband that he would give me a call with an estimate for the chimney. Mike never contacted me. I gave Mike a week then I called - it took two phone calls before Mike got back to me. I left one message for Mike and a 2nd one requesting a call from ownership. Mike called me back only after the 2nd phone call. But it was only his attempt to cover himself - stating that we had spoken about the chimney issues. This had not occurred - who would agree to replace a roof without taking care of a damaged chimney. The most hurtful thing about this is that Mike and I know some of the same people. I really expected Mike to do right by my home but he failed his moral obligation.Mike is 100% negligent in this matter whether he admits it or not. I should not be surprised because this country lacks lots of values especially moral ones. But when a company such as Americas Choice includes We promise honest and straightforward advice about your roofing needs and they failed to follow through on informing us of chimney issues -and just focus on putting a roof on a home. Well this is a violation of the companys values.AVOID this company first, then you will not have to worry about them ignoring you later!

We didnt have our roof replaced by Americas Choice Roofing but our neighbor did. She says she wont be recommending them! We live outside Calvert, TX in the country and our driveway is not set up for 18 wheelers but one of the trucks hauling the shingles came down our drive and had to jack-knife a few times to get to our house, the first time one has been down our drive in almost 15 years. He was told the delivery location would be on his right, we are on the left, they cant even follow directions. After driving over our septic system and knocking down a few tree limbs, he was headed out where he had a harder time leaving. He ran off the end of the culvert and his trailer hit our main post that holds our over head sign, damaging it. The driver gets out of his truck and takes pictures then drives off. After talking to people at the roofing company and the trucking company in which they were very rude, they said they would not do anything about it. You can bet I wont be recommending them to anyone.

Please beware of this company. The guy in charge seems very unstable. I was looking for an estimate and emailed several businesses. I said upfront that I was getting other estimates.Some guy with this company took my conversation with other roofers and twisted it as though their opinions were fact. He obviously only heard what he wanted to hear. Other companies suggested a roof with no insurance would cost 20,000. This guy jumped ahead, took a picture of my roof and called me back immediately with a figure. Then he spent the phone conversation calling me Sweetie and got in a tizzy because I told him I would call him back when I got other estimates. He literally called me a liar because I told him I was going to get more estimates. I had to hang up on him because he raised his voice at me and told me I wasted his time. Then he continued to call me a liar via text.I would not trust this company. Somethings not right.
