I realize that all Aspen Dental is after the money!. I got my printed paper that said the with my Insurance I would owe nothing. They never checked with my insurance company to see what was covered. I was a new patient only because my former dentist stopped taking United Health. They did a deep cleaning procedure that I had done 1.5 yrs before. I received a bill for $600 and I contacted the office and all they said is that they could make a payment plan for me. I called my insurance company and they told me that they were never contacted for any approvals, in which the procedure that they did at Aspen was only allowed every 2 years. I went to them and the front lady told me she would talk to the office manager and really nothing was ever done. Im now in collections for $600 and I dont even get that a month for disability. I would never recommend to any of my other senior citizens to go to any Aspen office. Im glad I have another dentil group now. I want everyone to know how they really dont care about you just how many people they can get in the door to make their $$$$$ quotas!
Friendly, professional staff. Very pleased with the service.
I can honestly say that this is the best dentist office I’ve ever been to. It all starts with their amazing staff!! They are very nice and very attentive they make sure they make you feel comfortable. Not only that but they are the only office that scheduled me in such short notice . The quality of service is above and beyond They genuinely really care about their patients and it’s hard to find an office that does.
The literal worst experience I have ever had at a dentist office. The assistants were amazing!! But the dentist was a horrid old man and traumatized me completely!!! Save yourself actual misery and find a different office!!!! I have filed a complaint with the Washington board of dentistry! This was the college place, WA
I just went through their free 1st time visit process and im seeing alot of the foreshadowing that other reviewers mentioned. What really got to me is to see that I was told that i needed the Periodontal Scaling done to my gums as well as some other work. In the end the sum ended coming out to $6000 + The Electronic tooth brush. Most dental insurances will cover 50% up to $3000 so it felt a little to coincidental that they quoted me that price.Id rather meet with a dentist that will collaborate with me on something that would work better for my personal and financial health rather than quote the max out of my insurance. Ultimately Im getting bad vibes from this branch and will look elsewhere for dental work.
I have been very well treated from all of the staff and the dentists at the Walla Walla, Washington branch. Very professional and caring.
The staff were very patient dealing with my anxiety. The dentist was great, he was thorough and paid attention to my pain levels.
Went in to get an exam and a cleaning that I was over due for. The actual dentist only came in for about 5 min to review my x rays and take a look at my teeth, after which he said, were good, then promptly left. The hygienist then have me brochures and a sales pitch about how I needed some deep pocket cleaning treatment for several sessions and thousands of dollars worth of care that I had never heard of in my life. No dental office since has ever recommended such a procedure. In the end I didnt get a cleaning (because I would have to follow through with their expensive and non essential treatment plan first) And Ive learned to stay away from these franchise-like McDentists. There are many local family dentist offices in the area that are far superior.
Cynthia was great! She talked me through everything she was doing and explained why she was doing something and it’s importance. Concerned about your health and well being, making sure you were comfortable and understand the procedure. A little spendy but extremely efficient, professional, and courteous. Will continue to use them as my dentist. Also don’t like shots so I went in thinking and getting anxious about the novocaine. Cynthia put me at ease and used items to numb up before the shot ever occurred. I recommend them.
I’ve had two bad experiences with Aspen Dental. The first one I took my younger kids in for a cleaning and I was told they needed electric toothbrushes and sensitive toothpaste and a deep cleaning. I told them I have never had to pay for my kids to have a checkup and have their teeth cleaned and I wouldn’t start. I requested they have a regular cleaning and they refused because it was not the recommended treatment by the hygienist. My kids had no cavities and haven’t for several years. A total waste of my time and dental benefits. We sought care at other office and they did not need any of the recommendations from Aspen dental and have been cavity free.Second my 18 year old college student daughter sought dental care at another office. Insurance was never billed. I called and gave them insurance information and was told they would bill the insurance. The bill was sent to collections and I had repeated assurances insurance would be billed. Over several months I’ve made several phone calls to get updates and the last call I was told the office manger would have to call me. No call from the office manager after two weeks so far. This is a money driven company. Customer service is horrible. If you aren’t willing to file claims with your insurance and pay top dollar for unneeded dental care you’d be better off going somewhere else.
Friendly professional staff
Great experience. The staff were very through in explaining each part of my visit from the x-rays to the price of the dentures. They will even check you for oral cancer be which I think is wonderful. Great job everyone.
Do not go to ASPEN. Like another reviewer mentioned, they also incorrectly diagnosed me with moderate periodontitis. They also wanted to use an antibiotic that my OB did not approve during my pregnancy. I left and did not return. Worried about my gums, I risked going to a different dentist during COVID. Turns out, I don’t have periodontitis! Aspen only wanted to charge my insurance for pricey work that wasn’t necessary. I unnecessarily risked my health and home during a pandemic because ASPEN lied to me. They are unethical.
I am 57 years old so been to a few dental organizations, this place is second to none in my opinion. I have no dental insurance and always pay out of pocket and have been so very happy with price and product. I have always been treated (more) than fair, always great! Staff I will recommend Aspen and continue to to smile. Thank you folks for everything you do for this community.
Very professional, receptive and friendly, extremely accommodatingwhen making financial arrangements! Very rare to find these days!I havent had my dental work done, yet (I will today) but if it is as goodas my experience has been, so far, it will have earned those 5 stars!
First time at Aspen and was pleasantly surprised. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good X-ray equipment. Dr was nice and explained all my options. Staff printed up all options with prices. Referred me to oral surgeon and I will go back to them!
Everything was just fine.
The Dental hygienist is a real pleasure. Friendly, fast, and really good.I had a couple of fillings done, and the Dental technician was sweet, and really good at keeping my mouth from becoming a pond of water. The Dentist was a little hard to understand (my poor hearing), but he did a wonderful job, made sure my bite was correct and comfortable.
I went ii to aspen clinic in college place for an exam and a cleaning the receptionist said they could examine me one day and the next day could clean my teeth for $70. The exam was free and and they wanted to do a deep cleaning for the low price of $1700. I told them I just want my teeth clean and they would not do that, a complete waste of my time.
Friendly office and getting an appointment was quick and easy. But, I wasnt offered a simple tooth cleaning. I was very disappointed with that. The service I was offered was increadible pricey and I wasnt even offered anything less than that. Please rethink on some of the services you offer.
The WORST experience ever!! My adult daughter just returned from an appointment for 2 fillings. During the procedure, the dentist accidentally SLICED her cheek open with his drill, requiring 5 changes of gauze to control the bleeding. She’s home now and an hour later her cheek is still bleeding, in pain and she’s completely traumatized. Please beware if you are a patient as this clinic!
DO NOT GO HERE.I went in before Covid/lockdown but havent gotten around to writing a review yet. I just moved to Walla Walla from Spokane and needed a new dentist, so decided to go to Aspen dental. All I wanted was to get my initial exam done so that I could get a regular cleaning. The hygienist did a quick check of my gums and then told me I needed Periodontal Scaling because my gums were receding. She told me I couldnt schedule a cleaning until I did the Scaling treatment, which would include 5 visits and a total of $1,499 out of pocket (plus $446.20 covered by my Dental insurance). I found this very odd because Ive been getting regular cleanings in Spokane and my prior dentist had never mentioned receding gums.Afterwards, I met with another office employee who asked me to schedule the 5 visits and requested a 25% payment up front for those 5 visits. I told her I wasnt going to schedule today. She then asked me how much I make and (thinking that this was just for informational purposes) I told her. Evidently she then ran a credit check, WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING. She said I qualify for payments for the visits. The whole visit rang alarm bells and red flags, so I told her Im not going to schedule any treatment.I then went to another dentist in Walla Walla, Dr Ganz, who did a thorough exam of my teeth and gums. I asked him to pay special attention to my gums because of what Aspen told me. He told me I have NO RECEDING GUMS and do not need Periodontal Scaling!Aspen Dental tried to take advantage of me and rip me off. Say if I hadnt gone to the dentist in a while and didnt know any better, I could totally see myself trusting them and I wouldve been scammed out of so much money. Aspen dental is putting profit above patient care.
I was in a hurry because of a schedule conflict. I ended up being less than 10 minutes late to my next appointment. The staff was understanding, and worked as quickly as they could and still do an excellent job.I would recommend this office of Aspen Dental for all of your toothy needs.
Im terrified of the dentist but coming here was amazing!! They were very gentle and understanding!!
When going to a dental office, I expect that they have my best interest in mind, and I left feeling like Aspen Dental was just trying to shake me down for as much money as they could get by trying to pressure me into going through with likely unnecessary treatments. I dont trust them, I wont be back, and I will tell everyone who will listen about my experience and to not to waste their time at Aspen Dental. The hygenist started by coming into the room making a comment to the effect of, alright, lets create a treatment plan. And my first thought was, you havent even seen my mouth, what makes you think there needs to be a treatment plan?At the end of her assessment she informed me I have gum disease. Which, seems odd, being my sister, who is ordinarily the dentist I go to when Im in Reno, has never mentioned that I have any signs of gum disease.Another thing I found suspicious with this gum disease diagnosis, was that my friend had been into the office the day before, and she also was diagnosed by the hygenist as having gum disease, which her previous dentist never mentioned. Either the hygenist is better at seeing gum disease than other dental professionals, or she is trying to sell as many treatments as she can whether it is waranted or not. Based on the rest of my visit at Aspen Dental, Im assuming it was the latter.Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way with the hygenist was that she asked if I grind my teeth, and I told her I do, and I have a night guard, I just dont wear it as often as I should. It was as if she didnt hear a word I said, because once I got home and looked over the my customized treatment plan I saw that she had included getting a night guard. (which wasnt covered by insurance)The final nail in the coffin for this visit was going over my treatment plan with the office manager. I should note that I went in, to get the xrays and exam, with the expectation that I would be able to schedule a routine cleaning afterwards. That is all I wanted, a cleaning. So I assumed that when I went to talk to the office manger, she would set me up with an appointment for that, but instead, she started by asking for my drivers license, which seemed normal enough. Next she asked what my monthly take-home salary was, which seemed like an odd thing to ask a dental patient, so I asked why she needed that information, and I was then informed that she was going to use it for seeing if I pre-qualify for monthly payments. I let her know that was unnecessary, and that I would be able to pay for anything that insurance does not cover out of pocket. She then gave me the treatment plan spreadsheet, which totaled around $925 (my expense/after-insurance) and told me that I would need to pay 60% of that up front. That seemed a bit steep for an exam and xrays (which I assumed insurance should have covered), so I asked her if this was for the exam and Xrays, and that is when she explained it was for the gum disease treatment. I told her I wasnt going to sign up for anything today. And she handed me my packet, and that was the end of my visit.
I had my crown done in Aspen last year. And in my recent check up, the doctor said the crown was not put perfectly in line with the tooth, so if I have a cavity, I will need to replace the crown. Even though the insurance for the crown lasts for 5 years, but who can tell the future. It costs more than $1000 and plenty of time to replace the crown. And it is their mistake for not being able to make the crown cover the tooth perfectly. Not to mention that last year they asked me to pay for something that I already paid several times. When I went to see them, they said it was the system’s fault and did not even give me an apology. I regret for choosing to have my crown done in Aspen.
The staff is friendly and Dr. Han is really great. Unfortunately, they are terrible with appointments and follow-ups and referrals. Trying to reach someone on the phone is not always possible. One person forgot what my reschedule date was and my referral to a specialist was over 3 weeks late. I had to call the specialist to set up the appointment. Then I had to call Aspen back 2 weeks after the visit to have my insurance referral sent. Friendly people, but I shouldnt have to do the work for them. If the service gets better, I will be happy to update my review. But for now, 2 stars is still being generous.
Dental hygienist Cynthia is amazing. Very knowledgeable and kind.
$2000.00 to clean my wifes teeth? That sounds high even if you add the medication needed for inflamed gums. We are 80 years old on fixed income and cant pay something like this. This seems high to me. Lesley was great on taking care of an immediate problem we had for $161.00.
Best dentist appointment Ive ever had. Friendly staff, patiently answered all of my questions. Dr Han reassured me I did not need all of the procedures I was told I needed by my previous dentist. Sam, the office manager, went over my treatment plan and explained each and every detail--what was necessary, what was optional but recommended and what was totally optional. His motto: Your mouth, your money. I found that to be a really refreshing attitude. Aspen Dental saved me literally thousands of dollars and many unnecessary, painful procedures. Highly recommended.
You All Are The GREATEST; The best in price, The best In service, The best in making me feel at home. Hello, if you dont use ASPEN your missing out.
I have always had great experiences each time I go there!!!
Hungry for money eager to schedule unnecessary procedure by the hygienist give u stuff u don’t need & charge you without telling you. So watch out make sure ask everything beforehand! However all employees are very pleasant, place is clean. No I won’t go back!
They were very helpful. Able to get me in the next day after calling them. However the only down fall, on the phone they told me that whatever my dental plan didnt cover, they would set me up for a payment plan. When i got there they did a free exam and X-rays. I had 2 abcesss and was already on antibiotics for one. My tooth needed pulled on my bottom right and they were able to get an appointment for that 15 minutes after being there. When talking to the lady that does billing, she told me the cost would be $4,000 for everything that needed done. They failed to tell me on the phone the day before, that the payment plan they use, is actually a line of credit through another company and they had to run my credit score. I dont have very good credit because of student loans. I work full time and dont have any kind of insurance. I was denied for both credit lines and they dont offer in office payments. I had to have a tooth removed regardless, so i had to use my rent money to have it pulled. The dentist himself was amazing though! He did a perfect job pulling it and made sure every minute that i was ok and not in pain. He went through step by step on what he was doing and was very nice! I just wish i would have known about the payment issue before i traveled 70 miles. Other than that, its a great place!
Very nice. The staff and Dr. Were very helpful and relaxed. This helped me relax and enjoy, without fear my visit.
Going to Aspen dental was the best choice i could have made. I am so happy with my teeth, my smile is perfect, thanks Aspen Dental
Everyone of the staff and attendents was very kind and the Dentist wasso caring and gentle. I am satisfiedWith my crowns and have more to go!Would and have recommended Aspen.
Office is very clean. Staff is amazing! Professionalism and positive atmosphere throughout my whole visit. Highly recommended!!!
No long wait. Friendly people, great dentist. Teeth pulled and dentures in all in one day. Great smile! Gary J.
My experience with Aspen Dental has always been positive, my hygienist is so pleasant and caring, it is actually a joy to visit with her.
I like the employees but i did not like the partials that were made for me. The othe work they did for my real teeth was over all nice work.
I was seen on time but had to wait a while to see dentist and oral hygienist. But once seeing g them they listened to me and gave me a great evaluation and a plan for going forward.
The visit was good, really liked the dentist as well as the other staff.
Worst dental experience I’ve ever had. All they want to do is sell you procedures. The “office manager” is really just a greasy sales person. I walked out in the middle of my appointment. WORST EXPERIENCE. I will never go back and will never recommend Aspen Dental. Don’t waste your time or give these people your money.
Fantastic staff and Doctor. They will do everything they can for you and do it as cost effectively as possible!
I will never go back. The X-ray tech was nice. The dentist couldnt show me my cavities on the X-rays. Then I was talked to like a 5 yr old child by the dental hygienist and insulted. Then she broke Hippa Law and discussed my situation with the patient she was working on in the next room. Even though he was my husband it does not matter. It was rude and I felt violated, embarrassed, and truly disgusted by her behavior! We will never go back, and I will never refer Aspen to anyone. I called my previous dentist as soon as I got home and Im going to drive the thirty minutes to see them! They have manners and dont violate the HIPPA LAW! Im considering to seek legal actions.
Very friendly service. They really care to help you understand everything that they do.
It was affordable & the staff is great! They take their time to explain the procedures & make sure you understand the process.
The Aspen team was very courteous, through, and friendly they are the way to go for all your dental needs.Verneil Petty
Great experience, very nice & accommodating staff. I didnt have the fear factor that I had with my previous dentist. 😀👍
I went in because I had swelling and severe pain, was told by 2 people I would leave the office feeling better and the pain taken care of. Instead I sat there took exrays for 20 minutes, was seen by the dentist and some other lady. Told I had an abscess and that was causing the pain and swelling. Was prescribed an antibiotic that should help take the pain away in 24 hours. Told i needed a root canal or to just have the tooth pulled but that would need to wait several days. Taken back with another lady who showed me a list of things I could get done and it would only be $4700 not including the cost of the root canal....its the next day and Im still in alot of pain, face is swollen and didnt get any sleep last night because I was in so much pain. I will never return to Aspen dental and will never recommend them. Nothing at all was done to help me, I seemed as though they wanted to find other things they could make money on to focus on.
Trying to have me pay for stuff I dont need done. Grr. Called them out on it nicely and the lady who sets up payment said well if you dont get this done we will not do the work you NEED done. Wow. After asking how much would it cost to ONLY get done what needs done...she looked at me like I was trash and started talking to me as if I was a nobody. FYI it was only 6m ago I seen a dentists and They never said any of this need done. The only reason I went here was due to my Insurance changed and I needed to get a root canal. I dont Like being scammed and be littled because I dont want to pay for something that doesnt need done.
Great experience, Dr and staff we’re very helpful and friendly.
Affordable and easy to work with. Fast, friendly and courteous staff. Saw me same day as complaint.
You know any appointment is going to be bad when the dental assistant starts by putting an x-ray tool in your mouth right after it was dropped on the floor. They barely spent any time on the exam and missed two cavities that other dentists had noted in previous exams and not filled. They then refused to let me have a cavity filled until I complete other, unnecessary procedures not covered by insurance. I would not recommend them to anyone under any circumstances.
Kind staff! Explains process well, gentle.
I worked for Aspen for just over two years as an office manager. As a past employee, I do not recommend any Aspen Dental. The corporate culture only cares about how much they up charge each patient. I have seen many procedures botched up and covered up. We have had to pay other Drs to complete extractions or remove endo files that broke in a canal on a failed root canal.I would also stay away from Dental first financing.
Very dedicated people. Loved it!
Fast service looks great from the outside but then they try to get you to sign adn commit to a plan pay upfront and charge 3x as much as any dentist ive ever seen
Only had one appt., very satisfied and professional. Need to schedule my 2nd appt. for counseling and get dental work started. Happy dental patient for now.
I found the staff to be very compassionate and professional.
Everybody was very courteous and helpful and willing to answer all questions.
Great place to go have your teeth worked on.
A great appointment! Everyone was a professional.
Loved my first visit to Aspen Dental!
Very professional nice crew
Lacking customer service. One of the worst Ive ever had.
Skillful polite staff, nice office
I payed out of pocket same amount as non-insured would, with insurance included it was over $4300 just cleaning done
Very friendly and professional staff.
