Upfront and fair pricing. Great pro-active communication. They replaced a water pump, one leaking freeze plug, and repaired a leaking fuel line on a 1995 van that has MANY more needed repairs. They suggested a few of those (thats their job), but when I declined they did not push it. Thats honesty in my book. Job well done!

Came in for spark plugs and a change of oil on a mint vehicle. Did not have any symptoms of damage to the car at all, could have ran it for a while longer, I just went with the GM schedule on its maintenance. Sent to Mendozas garage, it ends up here. When I sent it in, it had everything working perfectly fine, air conditioning system was operational and everything. First thing i heard after turning the car on is a whistling noise and determined that it was the HVAC unit. Turned out to be a blend actuator. Will not be going back to the shop for any repairs and I advise anyone else to as well. They may not have been there to repair the HVAC system but the damage is done. Went to Advance and replaced the blend door actuator myself.TL:DR do not use this shop except in extreme circumstances where you have no choice to.

These mechanics are great I was stranded a half hour away from home with a flat tire, these guys helped me out with a plug and air. It is not easy to find a garage that treats you with respect, has super mechanics and the cost is reasonable. Especially if you are a woman. I highly recommend Berdars. I moved to Cohoes last fall and had a problem with my tires. I went there and they fixed it for me on the spot and wouldnt charge me. I knew then that this place was special. And it is. I wouldnt think of going to any other place.

I work for a medical equipment company so we use Berdars for our company vechiles and I noticed the good work they do as well as being punctual. So I decided to take my personal car to them and I dropped it off on Thursday morning, they called me Thursday afternoon with a diagnosis and payment options, car was ready Thursday evening for pick up. So with all that said Berdars is great and the small business Im supporting in these tough,crazy times.

One of the best auto repair shops I have ever dealt with. They give honest service, have a large facility so they are able to accommodate a large number of repairs rather quickly, and take my wife seriously when she has concerns. They also give great explainations for whats happening inside your vehicle.We have had bad experiences with auto shops in the past (not doing work we paid for... Etc). This shop has completely changed our perspective on auto repair. The staff are friendly and personable, and the work is honest.

Went in to get a tire realignment but was told that there was another problem with my vehicle (a bad tire bearing). They took in the car no problem and even gave me a ride to work that morning. I came back at the end of the work day a bit after closing time and they were still very accommodating. They even got a deal on a tire bearing part so we both got to pay less. Definitely will go back in the future.

I came to Berdars because my check engine light was on. They made me an appointment for today. I go in and they didnt take long at all to look at the code which was a cat code. They gave me an option that was different from other auto body shops. Also, cheaper. They needed to keep my car for a couple of hours, and I was there with my 6 year old daughter. As I was getting ready to leave with her, the Manager (Shawn) offered to have the mechanic working on my car, drive us home. They called me 2 hours later to get the car, and the same man picked me up. To me, they went above and beyond my expectations and their job duties!! This is excellent customer service! Also, the gentleman (wish I checked his name) that dropped us off and picked us up, also fixed my door(to be kind) no charge! It wasnt closing right, and now is! Im beyond happy with my experience! They really helped me out, and made me feel heard, and put me at ease. This is very rare these days!!! If youre looking for an auto body shop with excellent customer service, and people who listen and hear your concerns, they are it!!!! I will from now on be a regular customer at Berdars! I cant thank these guys enough!!! If I could give more stars, I would!! Highly recommend!!!!!!

Great service at a decent price

I called this car shop several times to receive an estimate to replace all brakes and rotors on my car. I even visited the shop once beforehand to make sure.Due to competitive pricing and trying to support local car shops as supposed to choosing the usual franchisees, I decided to get the job done here.Big mistake! After assessing the car, only the front brakes/ rotors were done. All of the sudden, their prior price estimates were supposedly only for front brakes/ rotors.In fact, there was Never a question whether just front or back, I wanted all brakes/ rotors replaced, no questions asked.After confronting the staff, nobody assumed responsibility and no price adjustments were made. Instead, the staff had only room for impolite remarks.Very dissatisfied with the overall experience!

A standard car facility by appearence. However the communication between office and mechanics is weird. I came in for an alignment. No specs on my balance before re-alignment. My mileage was recorded incorrectly. And they couldnt adjust my back whee due factory make specs? Just my front toe was altered? I truly wonder if they really did anything for my vehicle. Plus I noticed all these penalty rules for overdue cars on lot. I doubt the enormous black top space gets very packed. Frankly this place is overated and it was recommended to me but I dont plan on ever coming back. Shody paperwork and questionable work performance leaves a bad taste in my for paying the bill.

I have been a customer of Berdars Auto Service for years. They specialize in friendly, helpful, old-fashioned customer service. They havent billed me for every little thing. They find the problem right away and fix it. I dont have to keep coming back. They do not look for potential problems and try to sell you on repairs. If I have a critical problem, like a squealing power steering belt or a slow leak, they can always work me in quickly.

They towed my car and broke my subframe and did not take responsibility for it!
