This park has it all!! A great disc golf course, a HUGE playground for the younger (and young at heart) crowd, fishing, trails, cookout shelters and SO MUCH MORE!! Its a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the fresh air!! The bathrooms are super clean and available at all the shelters too. Bring a book, bring a fishing pole or just bring yourself... YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED π€ππΌπ¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦π΄ββοΈ
Beautiful place for all ages! Itβs not just butterflies. They have a live bug exhibit as well as a bird exhibits. There is a little sitting area if you brought your own food or they have a snack bar. They even have a small plant nursery where you can buy the plants that attract butterflies. Itβs a bit pricey but worth the trip. You may be able to find a coupon on line . If you lucky a butterfly will land on you!
Love this park. Great kids area, shelters, petting farm, pony rides, a historic bldg and trail rides. Reasonable about $35/hr pp. Need to phone and make reservations the day before. Nice ride through the woods. Much cooler temp than surrounding area. At least one weekend a month they used to do mini steam train rides. Lots of fun.
Nice park, the petting zoo, and pony rides where closed. Petting zoo has goats and chickens . The playground was a little outdated but the little kids didnt care. We got to see some horses in there stable. The park also has a cool mini train ride but I think its only open on the 3rd weekend of the month. Took a picture of one of the horses being silly.
I was at this park with my wife and son last weekend and I had a feeling like it was almost abandoned. We did see horses and that was all of it.Pretty much everything else is covered, closed and empty. Also you can notice that it wasnt even maintained last several months.I mean the place is great and has a lot of space, but someones has to do something before it starts falling apart.Hopefully next time we go, it will be different.
From what we saw, it looked like a great place. We really want to take our granddaughter on the pony rides. However everything was closed. But its a nice looking park.
π· This an onsite COVID-19 test reviewβ 1 hour and 20 minute wait for PCR (oral, throat) swabπ You enter the test with your car and stay in the car the entire time; you will go to 2x tents before receiving your test at the third tentπ You will need to have your drivers license on you for identificationπ± You will receive your test results within 2-3 days by a text and through the free mobile appThe experience was professional and as pleasant as one of these tests is going to be.The staff was kind, patient and helpful. I did not find it to be unpleasant or painful to receive this test and recommend this location if you have any concerns about your current health status.
I have been coming to Tradewinds Park for the past few months with my son and we both think its a great park.My son will be 3 years old in 4 months and refuses to even consider wearing a mask so we have been doing a lot of nature based outdoor activity this year. This park is large enough and there are few enough people (weekdays is when we go) that keeping our distance and limiting contact to distantly passing by other people on the path is very easy. There are actually 2 sides to the park. Sample Road splits it so you either turn into the park to the South where there is a disc golf course, some nice paved paths for walking, cycling or my personal favorite: wagon rides... Theres also a playground which is closed and roped off with so much orange fencing and rope that even my headstrong daredevil toddler doesnt try to breach the perimeter. Butterfly World also takes up a small plotbof land in the park, probably why there is such an abundance of butterflies in the surrounding meadows (nothing fancy, just little guys).Im pretty sure the bathrooms are all closed, but we havent reached that magical milestone yet and I would rather give myself a kidney stone than use a public restroom right now, so we havent officially checked that out. The water fountains are definitely covered over with plastic but all the garbage cans seem to be in use and regularly serviced. The North side of the park is where the stables are located and where they do the holiday light drive thru every year. My son was beyond delighted to go on a Christmas Adventure to see the lights one night last week and I have to admit the display is impressive, $20 well spent.Of course had I known how excited hed be to walk up to the displays in the daytime when they arent even lit up, I would have saved the $20. Well, no I wouldnt have, but the fact remains that my son loved going for a walk thru the unlit displays so much that we went twice this week, spending a whole morning walking around a different area each day.Today when we went the entire pasture by the stables was full of horses and ponies, a few dozen Id estimate. While we knew there were stables and a farm here wed never actually checked any of that out so it was a nice little surprise for both of us.Further back there is a general store (closed for COVID) and a small farm that apparently allowed kids to come in and pet the animals pre-COVID with chickens, goats and bulls. My son was over the moon to discover this little farm. He talked to the goats and chickens, he said hello to the mooses which after much debate we agreed had horns not antlers and so they had to be bulls, not mooses. They alsobhad a sign for pony rides, also closed and a closed playground. I cant wait to come back post-COVID when everything reopens. Then theres this little railroad that we actually parked by. The schedules says it only runs one weekend a month, but another sign says open weekends. Either way it was closed today, Friday, and that was great because the walk along the tracks was lovely and easy for my little guy to navigate. One and only drawback...FIREANTS!!!! The hills are everywhere. My son stepped in several until he saw the ants boiling out of the mound. We bring a picinic blanket to lay out for lunch or snacks and we are super careful where we set it.
A beautiful park, and Pavillion. We had everything we needed to host a fellowship weekend with food, music and fun!
We love the park and the train. So much fun!
This beautiful park has a playground, a disc golf course, stables, kiddie train rides, a fishing lake, and a farm. There is also a general store where you can buy refreshments and souvenirs.Pony rides go from 11am - 3:30pm Saturdays and Sundays and certain holidays and it costs 3.00 dollars per ride.
Tradewinds is one of my favorite week day parks to go for a long walk after work along the lake. It it always clean and kept immaculate. Its also always fairly busy with disc golfers, walkers, joggers and cyclists, so I never feel nervous about safety. Women exercising on their own know how important that is.The annual Festival of Lights is a yearly Christmas night Tradition for mom and I. They do a great job! You can see lots of hard work goes into it, and there are always new ones to look forward to every year. In 2016 it was $15 per car, and $3 for 3d glasses. Try a slow drive with your car lights off - the lights are way better that way, and you dont shine your lights into the car in front of you and ruin it for them. π
Tradewinds Park is a Broward County run property and is home to Butterfly World. The park spans across Sample road with the North park being home to a horse stable, small farm, the Tradewinds and Atlantic Railroad, general store, Christmas Light show, and a playground. The South Park houses Butterly World, sports fields, gazebos and another playground. There is a small nominal entrance fee to the park and includes both sides. Reservations are required for the gazebos and grills are limited.
Pity I didnt actually get to see the park, as my visit was to get the covid vaccine. The site was well set up and organized and I was out in an hour. What little I did see of the park and stables were beautiful. Got to come back there someday and take pictures!
This is a nice park. We went on a Friday so there wasnt alot people. They have horse back riding and butterfly world.
Just had a run around the park... Looks nice...was accessible for running ( no running on the horse trails)... Currently the Park is being used for vaccinations.... Go across the street for the other part of Tradewinds... Plenty of activity space there.
Went for Covid-19 vaccine with my mom. Her appointment was 12:15, mine at 12:30. Even after the 15 minute hold for reactions we were out by 1:00. Hope you get tent 6 with Angle Hands Al. We never felt a thing.
Nice and clean. It is big and has several lakes. The stables for the miniature horses are very well maintained. This park is usually very popular, but I am not sure how many people are going now with COVID-19 around. In any case, the staff is using masks and taking social distancing measures.
$20 per car is the best value in South Florida for such a fun holiday light show. I wish the traffic was better regulated, so that is my only complaint, but review was posted in the days of COVID-19 so I understand. The staff was friendly, and my family and I felt safe when in the park with officers in the area
Love this place. Great for taking pictures, observing the horses and some farm animals. Large pavilions and lakeside. Many people walk and ride their bikes here.
One of the most magical places in the world. No words can describe the serenity of this place.
Very nice park it part of butterflies world
Really good time!!!
We were there for a covid vaccine which went very smoothly. We have never been to this park so it was a good experience. The park needs landscaping care. It was a very long trip for the vaccine.
Awesome park with lots of activities. Disc Golf course is pristine.
COVID VACCINE!Got my first of two shots here WITH an appointment and it was extremely organized and pain-free! Thank you everyone π
Nice staff, beautiful trails for horse raiding activities
Very big and nice .Well kept .Organized workers. Ready and willing to assist with a smile. Can never get list signs are everywhere.Nice place to visit.
Went for Covid Testing, very efficient process !!!
Nice place for festivals, had a good time.
Great staff was very accommodating. One of Browards Parks hidden gems
The Lights are one of my favorite things to see during the holiday season. I love the originality of this event. $15/per car and $3/3 pairs of 3D glasses
Got vaccinated here. Nice park too. Butterfly world is here too.
Only went there to get my Covid-19 test done
The Christmas lights were fun at Tradewinds park
I was scheduled to receive my first COVID 19 vaccine @8:45 am at Tradewinds Park on March 2. I arrived at 8:25 and was on my way home by 9:18. The way its set up is a single file in your car from the entrance of the park that takes you to the exit of the park, after receiving the vaccine and being monitored for 15 minutes. Not what I had expected. I hope 2nd dose goes as well too.
I went there for the Equine Therapy Center a gem in Broward. Support them and their fundraising they do so much
Tight turns! This course is VERY challenging and only the BEST riders should attempt this death defying race!
We went there for holidays fantasy of light 2018, and it was a great idea, is short but we share as a family while driving around the park.
Very nice park. There are picnic shelters, mini farm, bounce house, playground, pony rides and trail rides.you can have a fun tome with your children.
I took my daughters for their 11th birthday to ride horses on a guided trail ride. Our 3 horses were beautiful, well trained, and tame. The guided ride lasted an hour and meandered through shaded nature trails. The trip was very relaxing and we will do it again.
Its a nice place, but nothing spectacular and the price ($17) is pretty hefty for what you get.Not worth it, in my opinion.
#im a true volunteer for state so the beauty of this practical park is due to the horses and all other farm or ranch animals @Ron government #comfortzonethe
This place is always nice, perfect for kids and family
Nice place to spend the with kids. Various activities. Horse rides, bikes, petting zoo, trains.
Beautiful, clean park with everything you could ask for.
Great family filled park with plenty of year round activities to keep your family busy. The stables also provide rides.
My wife and I are frequent visitors. The park has a variety of fun features and is pretty big, well kept and very pleasant. Its generally busy enough to feel safe but too busy to feel crowded. Tradewinds Park is a treasure. Please help keep it clean and enjoy!
Just when to the light parade it was really nice long line. Would recommend you show up early but its nice.
I ran a 5k there the other day with Greater Ft Lauderdale Running Group and it was great scenery, very bug park.
You cant ride the horses yet! It will be better once Covid is over!!
A excelent 0ption of laser on vacation or weekend.
Great place to bring kids
Relaxing as well as beautiful. Love this park!
Playground, bouncy house, pony rides. Great Park my son had a blast. Bonus feature: this absolutely adorable donkey.
Great county park but I think it is closed and being used as a covid vaccine center. That is why I was there
Fun place to take the kids, the lights were awesome! Themes for everyone from dinosaurs to traditional Christmas.
Went here for Covid vaccine. They were very organized and started on time.
Currently closed to public due to Covid19 and its also a vaccination site for Covid19.
A beautiful place to visit with the kids and family.
The drive through Christmas decorations were very terrible value for the $20 dollar admission per car, considering I got to see NO LIGHTS while my family was in-town. I had family from out of town that wanted to do it, we went and it was only 8:00 PM but the gates were closed, it said online it closes at 10:00 PM. This caused a large amount of confusion between everyone trying to enter and caused a 30 minute traffic jam.
Very clean and nice park. Great place to bring the family on a weekend. They have mini train rides, a petting zoo, horseback riding, and playgrounds.
It was a great experience, the grandchildren loved the different light themes. I strongly recommend.
Pony rides, a small train for children make this park unique for County parks in Broward. Lots of shaded areas. Great Park,
I had a magical time at this holiday light show. I even went on a Ferris wheel ride!
Friendly staff, wonderful horses, peaceful trail ride ππ΄Fyi- trail rides are appointment only now..
This is a slice of heaven in Coconut Creek FLButterfly WorldWalking pathsFishingFrisbee Golf course
The light show was a scam. It wadnt at all holiday or christmas related. Not worth the money
Nice playgrounds and scenic park
Went there for vaccine. Really nice park, with Butterfly World and horseback riding trails.
They could have done way more with the Christmas lights I have seen more Christmas lights going down a block that has participated in a Christmas light show! π Not worth the 20 bucks find a neighborhood thats participating youll have a better time.
Was great lines are a bit crazy for the lights, they should put two lanes to go in.
This place is great for young kids or adults. J cant wait till my boys are tall enough to go on the horse back riding trails.
Went for Fantasy of Lights.... Great drive- thru for Christmas π
Very extravagant.. they should have music throughout the tour other than tuning in on the radio. 3 D glasses should be included with entrance fee.
Its a big Park. Only went is there to receive my vaccine shot for the coronavirus
Got Covid vaccine. Second shot. Took 3 hours.
Enjoyed the xmas lights. Wish they placed music along with it.
