This company came out for our home warranty and they were awesome. They responded quick and came out the next day. I needed a part for my salt cell and the technician hand. The best was the technician Ian that was very polite and friendly that provided excellent customer service!
I would not recommend this company. This is 2 times they have came out for the same problem. They use subpar equipment that’s spray painted to look new. I had the warranty people approve the new units. This company said nothing is wrong with the pool. But parts are falling off the pump but it’s working. I am now on the phone once again and this problem has been since October of 2020.. back then I tried to call them they wont even answer. There was a blue sticker on thr pump they redid. The tech came out today took it off and threw it in the trash to hide who did it. If you look at the pump.. you can see the rust they painted over.. and the cap on the end of the pump on the main one is not secured. I had to do it as I try to call them they will never answer..Stay clear of this company
I had a great experience with Aqua Brite. Ian was great. The work looks great and there are no leaks. I was referred to them through my home warranty company, but I would use their services outside of that contract as well. Thanks for a job well done!
I was so grateful for choosing aqua brite pools to work in my pool. I recommend them 100%
This is how they install your new pump then try and charge you $1200 for it.. also tried to tell me my timmer was bad.. turns out the timmer was fine they are just really bad at doing electrical work.. if you happen to choose this place to install anything (and not sure why you would) make sure you call an electrician to assist them or youll be sorry..
Pool pump repair. Hired through home insurance. Guillermo L. was awesome, kept us informed of any updates and extremely helpful.
My pool pump would not turn on. I submitted a repair order and it was less than 24 hours between submission and repair. Ian was awesome!!!!!
Aqua pools replaced my filter and tank and did so professionally and in a timely manner.
Our technician came out and helped us get a new filtration system. He was courteous and made us feel more than just a customer. Great service by our technician IAN.
Pump was replaced very courteous and very efficient making sure job is done correctly. I would highly recommend them.
Ian was great and was very professionalGreat quality and customer service
Cant get ahold of anybody to check on status... Had a service call open for a month. Wish my home insurance would choose a better company
Aqua Brite was dispatched to us by our home warranty company. I contacted our warranty company on a Thursday and by Friday Ian from Aqua Brite had approval to do the necessary work, had our parts in and had contacted me to schedule a time to come complete to work. By Monday morning at 10 a.m. Ian arrived and had the work completed!!! This is the second time he’s been to our home to complete work and has provided excellent customer service both times. Thank you Ian and Aqua Brite Pools. We appreciate you.
I placed a claim with my home warranty in February to have my pool leak repaired. Aquabrite sent someone in early March with no tools to “just check it out”. That was the last time I heard or spoke to anyone. I called, I texted and nothing. I finally placed an additional claim with my warranty company because the job was still not done. They finally gave me an appt from 8-12 on April 12. Then the technician called me to tell me it would be later in the day before he could get to me. Guaranteed he would not have had what he needed to fix my pool because he didn’t know what was wrong. My time is valuable and this company provides subpar customer service. My advice would be to find another pool repair company.
They were courteous and honest about their timeline to replace my pool motor. Ian was my technician and he was informative and easy to work with. This the company chosen through First American Home Warranty. I loved their dispatch process and the way they kept me informed on where I stood in my appointment time window. I would recommend them.
Absolutely horrible. Was sent out a technician from Aqua Brite Pools in response to a First American Home Warranty claim. After my pool pump suffered a complete failure, the technician wrote up the problem as being an electronic problem, which was not covered under the warranty. The technician barely looked at the pump and instead spent the entire time setting low expectations for their service (saying the pump would likely be replaced by a refurbished unit that he has personally seen fail within 1 month). Very unethical and unprofessional business. I went on to hire another Pentair technician who correctly diagnosed the problem as a complete pump failure. He started by replacing the drive and then the pump still did not run, so he replaced the motor, which fixed the problem. So the problem was a total pump failure and not a problem with the electronic controls. This company is a sham, using their contract with First American to collect a quick $75, and then, if approved to replace a part, is given free reign to replace the part with whatever junk they can find. What an unethical business model. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Aqua Brite repaired our pool motor and our pool heater. We were very happy with the quality of service and professionalism.
Zachary was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our spa heater was not working. He figured out the problem and showed us how to get it working on our own. This was a home warranty claim. I was nervous based on other reviews. He far exceeded my expectations.
I’ve been with my home warranty for 5 years. After assigning Aqua Brite to a service call, 3 months later service was never completed. My expensive pool motor was stolen and replaced with a cheap refurbished one. Neither me or the home warranty company could get a hold of anyone to return the original motor. Home warranty wouldn’t assign a different company so I canceled my contract.
Do NOT use Aqua Brite services for anything to do with pool equipment. We filed a home warranty claim on our pool’s booster pump. When they came to do the install, they mixed up our order with another customer and replaced our working pump and did not touch the booster pump. They then tried to charge us $1,000 for it and when they realized their mistake, they tried negotiating to sell it to us for $700. We told them our original pump was fine and we just want our booster pump fixed. They said they would have to come back a different day to complete the job and to go ahead and use the new pump they installed in the meantime. However, the new pump they installed did not work. It took over 3 weeks and multiple unanswered calls before I finally got a response. They were very apologetic and said they would fix everything. People make mistakes, so I was still optimistic at this point. They returned again with the incorrect item for our pump which we caught and they luckily had the correct item in their vehicle. They replaced the parts, but apparently do not know anything about electrical wiring. They shut off our power while working on the system and then left without saying anything. I assumed they were leaving to get something an come back.Shortly after, I received a call from the warranty company stating that Aqua Brite contacted them and told them that someone at our residence messed with the wiring and caused them to short out the entire control panel which is not covered under warranty. The control panel was working before they arrived and they were the last ones to touch the wires from the first install. So apparently they decided to just leave without saying anything and without turning the power back on and then try to blame it on us. We called out an electrician who took 2 minutes to identify that Aqua Brite wired the control panel incorrectly and it is not broken. He corrected the wiring that they did and the pumps fired right up. They need to train their employees better regarding their trade as well as professionalism. It should also be noted that they NEVER brought back our original working pump that they took the first time, which was a Hayward, and instead replaced it with a much cheaper product.
AFTER READING ALL THE HORRIBLE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS SHADY BUSINESS ON YELP, GOOGLE, AND EVEN THE BBB, WE TRIED TO GO WITH ANOTHER POOL BUSINESS, BUT FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY ADVICE US THAT WE DIDNT HAVE A CHOICE AND COULD NOT PICK SOMEONE ELSE. POOR COMMUNICATION FROM GUILLERMO, NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE, AND TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION FOR OUR TIME. IT TOOK 2 WEEKS FOR THIS PLACE TO ORDER FILTER GRIDS, WHEN YOU CAN EASILY GET THEM FROM YOUR LOCAL POOL SUPPLIER OR AMAZON. THEY MISSED TWO OF THEIR APPOINTMENTS WITH US WITHOUT NOTIFYING US. BOTTOMLINE, IF I TREATED MY CUSTOMERS AND DID BUSINESS WITH MY CUSTOMERS THE WAY AQUA BRITE POOLS DID WITH US, I WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS IN A MONTH.
Very quick and thorough. Did a great job! No haggle or shady dealings always nice. Its sad but its hard to find an honest business you can trust.
Aqua bright pools was referred by my home owners insurance for a replacement motor and pump for my in ground pool. My first experience was with Ian Suhovy. He was professional and knowledgeable. He was thorough, Explained different options with new or rebuilt parts and also gave me options of a new system. We went over cost to give me the option for my financial comfortability.Within 4 days of initial call Ian sent one of his colleagues Jody, to replacing my motor and pump.I will be contacting Aqua Brite pool for all my pool needs. Thanks again for your time and expertise.Ann C Corona.
This company is by far the best pool company Ive used in Fresno and we have used quite a few. What sets them apart is their professionalism, expertise, and timeliness. They truly care about their customers and providing the best service possible. We had an ongoing issue with a pool spa heater. They assessed the problem quickly and worked with the home warranty company to make the repair happen. They were very good about communicating where we were in the process and when the repair would get done. And then even the day of the repair they kept me posted as to when they would be here and an exact arrival time which is very rare these days for anyone that comes to your house to do work. They give you these big time windows but not aquabrite. They respect the fact that you have other things to do in your life other than to sit around and wait for them to show up. I would completely trust them with any repair and will call them with any future repair. I know they have my best interest at heart. I highly recommend the company and I highly recommend Ian who worked on our pool spa heater. I will never call any other company.
Beware of this company. I paid the repair technician the $75.00 service fee in cash upon his arrival. He gave me a hand written receipt and I thought everything was fine. A few months later I got a letter from my home warranty company First American saying the service fee was never paid. Humm? Time to pay the company a visit!
Been 3 months and I took off of work several times to wait for excuses after excuses and they are rude. Don’t use this company
Very pleased with the service I received. The repair technician (Zachary Corsi) was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Also their response time was more than adequate.
Aqua Brite Pools is an awesome company who go out of their way to make sure they deliver the best service while getting it done as quickly as possible. They drove very far to help me with my pool, twice! Zach was very helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this company!
Ian did an amazing job! He fixed the leak in my pump and got it up and running in less than 20min! He was very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend him to everyone that owns a pool.
This company was contracted out by my home warranty company and was supposed to show up yesterday between 10am-1pm. No one showed up or called. I tried to reach out around 1:30pm yesterday and left a message and still havent heard back. I even tried calling today with no response. I am requested my warranty company to find someone else that will actually show up at the scheduled time and communicate.
Zach was awesome. He explained stuff to me and got my pool heater working again. His diagnosis was correct. Thanks Zach & Aqua Brite.
Can’t comment on price as it was covered by Home Warrenty. But tech was on time, professional and courteous. Explained what needed to be done and fixed the problem quickly.
My husband and I had no choice to use this company for a home warranty claim. If there was a option for zero stars we would choose that. The man Ian worked on our pool pump part that was leaking. After he installed a brand new one it too started leaking after a couple months He came back added some glue and said it should be fine. It wasn’t and started leaking immediately. He then stated we would have to pay more money because he needed to do extra work not covered by insurance to fix it, there was no way around it. After dealing with insurance company they sent a different company out for a second opinion and possible repair. The new company identified that the part in question was “damaged”. Bolts were stripped and the inner seal housing was cracked. This could of only happened during initial install or during service call either one it was NOT brought to our attention. We believe it was to cover the damage up until our warranty service expired. Being that it’s only one year it would have been my problem to deal with. The new company also fixed it without moving stuff around and any out of pocket costs. I guess Ian didn’t know “how to do it” !! It’s ok, not everyone knows how to work on pool equipment. Just stop claiming your an expert. Don’t use this company they will try and find a way to charge you extra money whether its today Or down the road. And it was so impossible to get a hold of them. My husband left Voice mail after voice mail and they never call us back and then there’s time that the voice mail was full. I couldn’tBelieved that Ian tried to blame my husband for the broken parts instead of taking the responsibility for it he just pointed his finger at my husband for his mistake. Please get second opinions if this company does come and work on your pool.
I dealt with Guillermo, at AquaBrite, and he was fantastic. I had to have my entire pump and filter replaced. I appreciate how he explained all aspects of his proposed plan and let me know, up front, all of the fees that would be covered and which ones wouldn’t be. He was never put off or bothered, no matter how many questions I had; and there were a lot. He also followed up after it was replaced, to make sure everything was performing as it should be and on schedule. Guillermo is extremely professional, courteous and easy to work with.
The tech was on time and fixed the timer quickly. No issues!!
Zach and Sal are great! They are friendly, on time and always communicate when there is a delay. Our pool is left sparkling clean and our equipment is properly maintained. Thank you
Zac was responsive, kind and did a great job. He got our work done in time for the HOT weekend ahead and our pool motor is purring away 🤗 Thank You 🙏
Super nice guys jody was awesome thank you
So the box I can’t check is “good value” and that’s only because I was introduced to Aquabrite through our home warranty company.Zach arrived on time (maybe a little early) to fix what we thought was an O-ring leak on the filter pump. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem as a cracked pump housing which immediately had me concerned as I was expecting a long wait for replacement. Zach showed me exactly where the problem was and told me not to worry as Aquabrite had a pretty extensive parts room. After placing a call he informed me the part was available and he’d be back out to complete the repair. Here’s where I was truly impressed. A few days after the casing was repaired the pump just stopped working. Now, the casing was a few plumbing connections and with the pump totally non-operational I was pretty sure this wasn’t Aquabrite’s issue, however, I called anyway and left a message. Within minutes Zach was calling me back to let me know he was in the area and would try to get over the same day. He said he couldn’t promise anything but would call no matter what.At about 4:30 the phone rang and I was sure it was Zach calling to tell me he couldn’t make it. To my surprise he was calling to say he’d be there in 15 minutes. After checking the pump he found there was a loose wire preventing the pump from running. Not Aquabrite’s fault but Zach fixed the problem to ensure we would have a pool over the weekend.I’ve had some bad experiences with home repair companies and sometimes with the people they send but can say from experience if you are dealing with Zach from Aquabrite you’re in great hands. He’s on time, dependable and just an all around nice guy.
I live in Oakdale and had to use this company in regards to a home warranty claim. Ian came out originally 7 months ago (he claims) for a check valve that malfunctioned that He installed as a new part 7 months ago. After filing another claim he arrived again today for another repair. While removing the cover of the valve he said the screws were loose and either vibrations or dirty filters were the cause and that hes seen it before. He cleaned the top of the valve, silicone it and gave me instructions what to do in three hours after silicone dried. That was too turn the pump on if I still saw a leak to turn the pump off. Where I still see water leaking, turn the screws 1/4 to 1/2 turn until the leak stops. This sent up a red flag for me as I never heard a technician asking the customer to go back over their work. I didnt worry about it at this time..Three hours later I turned the pump on and the part immediately started leaking worse than it had before so I turned the pump off and video taped the rest of his instructionsI realized after attempting to turn the first screw that it was stripped, I tried the second screw and that one was stripped as well.. After explaining what I was doing on the video for a few minutes I sent Ian a message requesting he call me back ASAP.. When he called before getting into the problem I asked for his supervisor name which he says hes the supervisor. Then I asked for the CEO name and again he states hes partially the CEO and he would have to be the guy I deal with..I realized I wasnt going to get any numbers or names from him and with three previous call attempts that were not returned I explained to him what was going on..I explained that the screws were stripped. Ian imminently claimed a manufacturer defect. He would get that covered but there would be out of pocket costs. (Later I found out those cost were 200 dollars.) Thats when I flipped out and told him it was either stripped today upon the repair or during the initial install.. His response was how did he know if it wasnt me that stripped it. I said well you can watch it on the video I recorded showing what I did...He then got defensive and said I was stating his company or him was to blame. I explained his company was the only ones to have their hands on it.. and if it was a defect why didnt he figure that out the first or second time. Ive never heard any service person say please check my work and attempt to repair after me if it doesnt work.. Instead of saying if it still leaks please contact us and I will come out and look at it... Unless you are attempting to have a argument for you stripping the bolts. Not realizing I would record my self... Now Im being contacted stating I have to pay 200 dollars out of pocket to get the repair done right.. Or else... Dont use this company, dont use this guy. I was not disfespectfult to Ian, I just stood up for myself as a home owner and this guy got very defensive... The ones with stuff to hide always do...Update Update...27June Ian claimed repair of his mess up could not be done without redirection of pipes and out of pocket costs at least 200 dollars. I had another company that did in fact fix it without moving pipes or any out of pocket costs. That leaves to possible conclusions for Ian and Aqua Brite. Either Ian lacks the knowledge and abilities to do this job and in that end up costs customers extra money they shouldnt have to pay or he and his company are crooks trying to charge the customer to get money lost by low balling the bids for the job.. either way it is all bad.. Dont use these guys our let Ian touch your equipment, it might save you some stress and hard earned money...
The office scheduled an appointment within 24 hours, the technician called to verify my location and give me updates eta’s- as I’m in the foothills.Fast and accurate diagnosis of the problem- fixed within budgeted and quoted price.Pleasure to do business with this company- makes me sorry I only have a spa- I’d use them for all pool services too.Ian was great!
If possible, I would give this Company 0 stars. They were contacted to come out by First American Home Warranty to assess a leak in my above ground hot tub. The first time, Ian, came out he concluded that the leak was in the jets (one of the ONLY things not covered by my warranty). OK, fair, he is a professional. I came home to realize he didnt even put water in the spa! It was completely empty as it had been for 3 weeks - with dust collected on the bottom of the spa. So, I took pictures and sent the proof to Warranty Company that it is impossible for anyone to conclude anything based on not even putting water in the hot tub.The Warranty Company contacted Aqua Brite and had them come back out. This time I filled up the tub with water that day as I wanted the leak to be fresh. He was late to the appointment by 2 hrs. He called me later that day and told me he thinks its in the jets (I was unable to be there in person as he was late by 2 hrs, mentioned above). I said how? Proof? Pictures? Anything? Note: the reason I asked this is because the hot tub has foam all around it. In order for him to properly assess the tub, he would need to take out the foam. The foam was all in tact when I went home. The answer was simple, he couldnt conclude whether or not the leak was in the plumbing (covered by my warranty) or in the jets. Therefore, he chooses to say its in the jets or he claims he wont get referrals from First American Home Warranty Company. After a long conversation, he told me he would put in his report that he couldnt conclude where the leak was coming from without ripping out the foam. Of course, he did not do that. He took a picture of a jet a picture of the outside of the hot tub and sent in the request saying the leak was in the jet. American Home Warranty claims they have to go by their licensed techs opinion and cannot do anything. They would need him to resubmit his findings. How does American Home Warranty get away with this? Unknown, but this review is not about them.I have tried calling him several times with no answer. I have left voicemails as well. I understand if he is too lazy to go into the foam and find where the actual leak is - I too was too lazy to do that myself. But to then blatantly lie, that is unacceptable.Aqua Brite has a responsibility to do what is right by their shared client (me). This is not someone you want working on things that are important to you (such as your home and its components). If your Home Warranty Company suggests Aqua Brite, DO NOT allow it. It is likely you will get taken advantage of.
We had 2 people come out regarding a home warranty. They only looked at photographs that I showed them and not the issue. They were there no longer than 5 minutes. They wrote to the warranty company that it was cleaning equipment only. Offered to fix the problem for only a few hundred dollars when it was really covered by the warranty. I had to pay another company $$ to come out and write up an accurate invoice and send it to the warranty company to actually get it done.
Aqua Brite Pools repaired our Marquis spa at the request of First American Home Warranty. Technician arrived on time for both of our appointments. He had the knowledge and tools to take care of the repairs.
They never called me to set up an appt. for service. It took them a week to respond to my request for service from my warranty company. By then my pool was green. They text me a vague your pool needs additional service. I called and left multiple messages and no one ever called me back. After another week I get a message that the warranty company will not cover the charges so they will need me to pay x amount. O really? And what exactly did you submit to the warranty company since you never spoke to me?? Stay away from this company. Their customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!!
Zachary the technician was polite and professional. This is an honest and competent company. We recommend Aqua Brite!
My home owners insurance sent them out because my regular pool guy said my pump was out. When Guillermo came out to check it out he was knowledgeable and friendly. I was called promptly with my opions and there report was submitted to my insurance company just as promptly.
Friendly, punctual, and accessible these guys get the job done.
Ian was very professional and friendly
Been using them for years and they keep my pool looking and feeling great!
Aqua Brite is wonderful! They are super responsive if I have a question or something isn’t working properly and my pool is always clear and sparkling!
Ian came out through First American Home warranty. He was on time, did a great job and was very professional.
Great customer service and very efficient
Great Customer Service! Very professional staff. They were able to fix my equipment. Recommend this company.
I recently wrote a negative review of this company. Although they weren’t the most attentive company I have experienced, they did come through and fixed the issue.
I was referred to this company through my home insurance First American Warranty. Very unprofessional company. I contacted this company a week in a half ago and never called back 2 days after claim was submitted and Andy answered and said he would give me a call back to inform me the day and time they would come to my house. Up to this day a week later, he hasnt even called me or my husband. They did come today a week later, but the only reason I knew was because I had to call my home insurance and found out through them. They told me that the company should have called me a day before coming and never did. They came to my house and my mother told the guy to contact me, hours later not one call from them. The only reason Im still doing business with them is because its through my home insurance or else I would have said goodbye a long time ago. Bad service and very very unprofessional .After leaving Andy numerous voicemails he has not called back. Look else where people.
Good people.. goes above and beyond. Thanks much Andy for your help and saving me a lot of money for my pool pump. You guys are great!!Fiel G.
I wish i could give this place no stars. Very unprofessional crooks with no follow thru on reports or work. Also good luck reaching them by phone have better chances of reaching Jesus.
I would highly discourage anyone from using this company. I was referred to them by my home warranty company (First American Home Warranty) to fix a pool/spa heater issue that I had. In order to keep the review somewhat short Ill state ahead of time that each time they set an appointment it was only due to me calling my Home Warranty, (who also couldnt get ahold of them over multiple days). The tech came out and diagnosed my heater with having problems with its sensors. All sensors were replaced, and then it was diagnosed with having control board issues, board is replaced and still the same issue remains. The heater is then diagnosed with an ignition module issue, module replaced.. same issue. The next time out they stated that due to high pressure my heater wouldnt start. I came home, adjusted my valves (which were in spa mode) and the pressure dropped. I called them back to come figure out the rest, due to my Home Warranty not allowing me to switch to a local company. They came back out, stated that my gas line didnt have any gas coming out and that my warranty didnt cover it. After calling a Plummer and paying $150.00 there was indeed gas at that pool heater. I got ahold of them once again through the warranty, only for them to come out, look at the heater, and then state that they will have to send a senior tech to figure it out. A week later the tech comes out, stated that clogged plumbing in ground is causing high pressure. After telling me they found a 2 inch peice of PVC in my valve (no idea how that would have got in there) I was then given a number to call to fix my clogged plumbing. At this point we are a week away from two months on this claim. I decided to call and ask for a second opinion from First American. The tech came out, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The unit was deemed bad, and an order for a new one was put in. The order was approved, but now Im stuck waiting for this company to install the new one. Yet again the home warranty cant get ahold of the company to perform the work.
They came out under warranty and wouldnt touch anything due to wrong warranty coverage. I can understand that. What I dont understand is why they insisted on still charging me $60 to do nothing. I dont understand how that is good business practice or how I could ever recommend them to anyone.
They came out under warranty (like the guy above, even if they dont do the work they still have to charge the service fee. That was actually his warranty service fee). However, they replaced my motor with a used one and told me I needed to pay an additional $250 for the rerouting of plumbing for the new(used) pump because my current plumbing wouldnt work with the new pump. The first day the guy came out, he showed up late and didnt have anything with him to rerout the plumbing so he had to reschedule again! So I rescheduled, and now the piping that they installed is leaking and my pump is losing pressure so all the water drains out and I cant run my pump. Been trying to get them back out here all week and its been a run around. First American Home Warranty is a joke (on a completely different bad review), and this company Aqua Brite Pools is probably the most unprofessional company Ive ever dealt with.
Aqua Brite Pools was referred to me through Old Republic Home Warranty. During his first visit the contractor admitted he misdiagnosed the problem and after paying one service fee, came back a second time. During his second visit he requested another service fee of $75 and claimed that I needed a new filter and required updated plumbing because my filter was no longer available for purchase and I would need to pay $350 for the plumbing. I trusted him and and I trusted Old Republic and went along with the repair. Later, I spoke to Old Republic and found out that the contractor from Aqua Brite Pool stated the reason we needed a new filter was because the filter model number was illegible, which was a lie. I tried to tell Old Republic and they could care less, so I highly recommend staying away from them too. My husband and I wanted our $350 and orginial parts back so we contacted the contractor and he agreed that he did not make enough money through Old Republic and had to, “ try and make up for the money in other ways.” We were able to stop payment on our check and because they knew we were on to them, they did not hassle us for the money and returned our original filter without a problem. I am still upset about the poor job done and the new filter they put in is valued at half the price of our original filter. My advice is to research any contractor before allowing them to do work, even if they are referred to you.
Dont like the way the ground is hooked up or the fact that I have a 2horse instead of a 1.5 but they were great
Ian was very good and very professional and took care of the problem with our spa
Fast and friendly service
