Duane refurbished the action on our piano, and replaced the base strings. The piano is an heirloom, used to write Primary songs sung by children around the world, so we wanted it restored to good working condition. Duane was very courteous, and worked within our schedule and budget. This was no small undertaking, though he was able to do it without removing the piano from the house, though he took the action to his shop for awhile. The results were very noticeable, especially to the pianists in our house who find it like new.We would highly recommend Duane to anyone needing to have their piano serviced.

I had a piano that had not been tuned in over 30 years I also had some minor repairs that needed to be made. I scheduled an appointment on his website which was easy to navigate and schedule. He came on time and was able to do the impossible and tune that piano. He also answered any question that I had. I will be using him every year to tune the piano.

Duane is a very polite and friendly person! When it comes to tuning, hes meticulous and a perfectionist. He took our piano and made it sound so clear and full! Duane does what needs to be done, not trying to upsell you anything! One more thing...Duane came on the 4th of July...nobody else that I know of does that! Thank you Duane!

I hired Mr. McGuire, who has tuned my piano for the past few years, for a half day service, since the action wasnt responding as well as it used to, and it needed more than just a tuning. He pulled out the action, and began showing me how some of the parts were just shredded! We were both surprized at the shape it was in, but he got right to work and found replacement parts, which he ordered from Germany. I appreciated him researching two different kinds of parts, and letting me choose between them. He was very kind about waiting until I could take a break in my teaching - I had students preparing to perform, and needed to make other arrangements, and he was most accommodating. He took the action to his shop, which I visited, and was pleased at how very clean and warm it was, on a very cold day. He worked hard to get my piano back to me in just a week!!! Mr. McGuire is a very precise person, and did his best to leave it all ready to play. However, regulation is a very tricky adjustment, and there were a few notes still rebounding. When I let him know, he was VERY good about coming back out & making further adjustments, and even came a third time for one pesky note, which he spent a long time adjusting. He even re-did the hammer on that one, and now it is working beautifully!The work Mr. McGuire did on my piano is outstanding! This was advanced work, stuff you cant trust just anyone to do! He is a very intelligent, precise individual, and is also well connected to other technicians if he needs to bounce ideas around. Because of his exceptional care of my instrument, it is playing and responding better than it did when it was new, and the tone is more lovely than it has ever been!When we lived in the Bay Area for 12 years, Fern Henry took care of my piano, and I enjoyed working with her very much. She is a well respected authority in the piano tuning world. I find Mr. McGuire as interesting to talk with, and he certainly has left my piano better than he found it! I dont believe anyone could have done a better job! I hope he is around for a long, long time! I want someone of this caliber to work on my piano, and the pianos of my students!
