The customer service here was amazing and they also helped me with my car issues. Ill go back to this place just because I was treated well and fairly. They also informed me of all issues I had and how they could be fixed.
These guys have done multiple jobs for me.I must say they are the best.It’s very hard to find great customer service and labor in the same place. They have both! I recommend their service.
I agree with the review that Chris posted on this site a couple of months ago. When Mike worked there at Youngs you could get great, honest, quality service. Unfortunately, Mike no longer works there, and I am sad to say the quality of work has diminished greatly. I had to return my car several times for oil leaks that did not occur until after minor maintenance was performed. Not only that, but the prices that they are now quoting for service are the same or higher that the Honda dealership in Bowie, MD. Youngs will never get another dime of my money.
Great place to go for Honda. These are the only guys I trust on my car. Show you problems before they start work. Honest trustworthy mechanics.
Let me start off by saying I only gave this one star because I had to give it a star.STAY AWAY FROM YOUNGS AUTO!!!!!I repeat: STAY AWAY FROM YOUNGS AUTO!!!I went here to have my brakes replaced on all four wheels of my 2016 Civic (first time Ive ever had brake work done on my girl). I used a groupon I paid $175 for, a true deal. Well I now understand that because I didnt pay full price they put cheap brake on my car that are destroying my rotors. I tried for weeks to get them to just sand my rotors down to help with the squealing. However, every time I went, I was told the mechanics had gone home-BY THE SINGLE SHOP MECHANIC!! When my brakes started grinding I took it back to Maryland just desperate for them to do something so it wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg to fix.This time the mechanic told me he didnt like my attitude, he wasnt going to fix my car, and I could take them to court. I demanded to speak with the owner. The owner said he had just been arrested the night before and didnt want the courts to get involved so he would just fix it for me. I took my car back up to Maryland (twice in the same day now) just for him to tell me that he put the right brakes on, that Honda from the factory put the wrong brakes on, Hondas factory brakes destroyed my rotors, and there was nothing he could do unless I wanted to pay to have my rotors replaced.THIS PLACE IS A HELL HOLE! They are all unprofessional and liars. Save yourself the headache and just find somewhere else to go. I hope someone reads this and changes their mind before spending a dime or minute of time with these scam artist.EDIT:Preparing a case for small claims at the mechanics suggestion that I would need to take him court.
Well I was pleased with the price of having all four brakes replaced thanks to a Groupon. However, my brakes were not squealing before I took my car in to Young’s. After having the brake pads replaced by them, my brakes now squeal to the point it’s embarrassing. I’ve tried for 4 days to reach them and the phone just rings and rings, I have yet to speak to someone. Incredibly irritated and I just want this problem fixed.
NEVER GO TO THIS HELL HOLE!!! Im still crying because I have not only wasted my time and money, but potentially lost business. Bad service, long wait times, and still had to go part of the way home just to break down again and have my car towed. This star us given because thats what was necessary to comment, not deserved.
The absolute worst car service my wife and I have ever experienced! Sent car in for rear end work and they replaced the front end parts! They never corrected the problem even after giving them several weeks to order the correct parts! The owners attitude is unprofessional and the mechanics attitude is unprofessional as well! We ended up paying 1000.00 for work that we didnt even need and the owner refused to give a refund. Keep away from this place!
Service was awesome when they were open. As soon as they reopened, they closed again! The current owner passed away. R.I.P Anthony
Excellent service. Took my truck in this morning and brake job completed in a timely manner. Professionalism and pride in doing an excellent job are apparent when talking to Mike the manager. This is the only business Ill be taking my truck from now on.
I have been going to Youngs for years and today the owners just blatantly lied to me and my husband about a repair that I didn’t need.My battery died because I did not close the rear door all the way. I charged it and took it to Youngs to make sure that the battery was ok, because it had completely died. The owner immediately started telling me it was the alternator and not the battery. I called my husband and he came up there and the owner started double talking and trying to explain how a car system works. The cost to replace the alternator is over $700. My husband told him to start my car and we would check back. I drove straight to Chaney tire on Old Branch save and they told me that what I had been told didn’t sound right, so I asked them to do a diagnostic. The diagnostic test didn’t show anything wrong with my car, and the battery is ok. I called Youngs back and told him he was a liar and that I would never come back. Buyers beware.
I agree with a couple of other posts on here. Stay away from this shop. One star is too high. Customer service is the worst I have ever seen. If you question anything the front desk person says he will get indignant with you. He actually gave me my keys back and told me to go away. Thats the best thing he did for me.
Was a little cautious after seeing some reviews, but everything worked out! They accepted my groupon for new front brake pads with no extra fees for my 2014 chevy cruze and finished the job in about 90 min. Grease was very courteous about resolving some issues I had with my appointment time, and was not pushy at all in suggesting that I get new rotars (which were well-priced). Will definitely come again!
Went in and received great prompt service. They also showed me the fault part to insure that I had confidence that they werent ripping me off.
I have used the shop for many years, but, will never step foot in there again. Since Mike left, service is terrible and the guy who runs the shop has horrible attitude and disposition. Gives huge discount if you pay in cash, but, work of their one and only mechanic less than subpar. Wasted time and money and finally had to take my car to real shop that could make repairs. Run...... fast and quick in the opposite direction.
Youngs has gone down the drain since Mike has left. We sent our car there for an air condition repair and hose repair. After 4 attempts to make the AC work they were unsuccessful. Then on the 4th time they said they finally found the leak and wanted us to pay an additional $400 dollars. We asked why it wasnt found or repair the first time and we werent given a clear answer. My suggestion is to not go to them. We were using them for 5 years for both of our cars and the past few times we have requested service, they have let us down.
Ive always brought my Toyotas and Hondas to Youngs. Ive never had an issue with a repair, price, service, timing etc. Dont go to the stealership....go to Youngs.
My wife and I will be taking all our vehicles to Youngs Auto from now on. The best service and information that is straight forward. Thank you Mike and your team, we are customers for life!
I have to agree with the sentiments of the previous posts. Service has gone downhill since Mike left and I have had issues with my car that have gone unresolved since then. When I bring it to the mechanics attention they brush it off. Currently searching for a new shop as a result sad to say. I really wish Mike would come back but the issues that seem to be happening may be the reason why he hasnt returned.
I really wish I could leave a more positive review for these guys. They seemed nice and offered to do exactly what I wanted on my front bumper (aftermarket kit and some paint) for less than the other quotes I had gotten.After the first week, they said they had a lot of jobs and hadnt touched my bumper yet. After the second week, they said the kit wasnt adhering properly and they were going to find another way to attach it. During the third week, they said I needed to pick up the bumper and that they hadnt done anything to it.My bumper sat in their garage for almost 3 weeks before I finally found out that they couldnt do anything on it due to one of their employees quitting a week earlier. Having to find alternate means of transportation cost me time and money while absolutely nothing was done, hence my frustration and rating. They probably do quality work, but needless to say, Im not happy.
Just what you want from a repair shop - honesty.I had a brake light on in my Nissan. I took my car first to Firestone on Andrews AFB. There was a fluid leak in the right front brake line. They wanted $700 to replace both brake calipers, pads, rotors, and brake lines.I brought my car to Youngs. They found that the leak was caused by a loose bolt on the brake caliper. They tightened the bolt and sent me on my way without any charge.I know where Ill be bringing my cars for repairs.
My lady and I used this shop for years while Mike was there working the front desk.. Now hes gone and some other people it still says Youngs but is definitely a different shop the front desk service is garabage now and so is the work nothing is honest about that shop anymore I would definitely not recommend this shop to anyone just horrible... The did work to our car without calling and getting a ok from either me or her and tried to sneak it into the bill nothing but bullshit business now...
I would give this 0 stars if I could. My vehicle has been in the shop for 6 months now. There phone is out of service, I cant get in touch with anyone!! They basically stole my car. I guess I have to call the police.
I absolutely recommend this repair shop for your repair work. My sister referred me to Youngs Auto in 2012. In 2013, I had my VW Passat towed to Youngs Auto for estimate work. I was provided a detailed list of problems with my car. I was well aware of most of the issues. I was informed by Mike that the repair work that was needed superceded the cost of the car altogether. Mike suggested to sale the car or trade for another. He allowed my car to stay on the lot until I made a decision about how I was going to proceed.......I eventually decided to trade the car in and purchased a new Altima. This was over 3 years ago. I decided to write this review TODAY because I remembered that I failed to write about their awesome service back then. THANK YOU YOUNGS AUTO & staff for providing me with the BEST customer service I have experienced while dealing with an auto repair issue. They were patient when they didnt have to be.....their work was done, yet they allowed me extra time to make a decision about what I wanted to do about the car. I appreciate the honesty, the professionalism and the quality service th e you provide. My repair company for life......
First of all.....Customer service here is great. Well knowledgeable and fast service. Regardless of what you need, Mike and his minions will take care of it in a timely manner. All the negative reviews are case to case basis. Come in and find out for yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed. Ive taken my Dodge Nitro here for some service and so far its been a 10/10. It saved me money taking my Nitro here then the delearship....and of course for all the repairs that will cover for your insurance, if any, then take it to the delearship. Mike will let you know and give his honest opinion of whats best and cheapest way to fix your vehicle. Also Youngs Auto supports the military and offers, I believe a 10% discount. Kudos on that....cant wait to see what else this Auto Shop has to offer...a visit to an auto repair shop is never a good thing, but if you need work on it, come to this shop!!!!!!
This place is terrible!!! I took my car to get some work done, and they charged me and NEVER did the work! In fact they held my car on the lot for SIX MONTHS, took the engine out and never replaced it; never called to give updates and when I went periodically to check the condition of my car it was worse than when I brought it and vandalized on the inside without explanation.... don’t EVER TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!
Youngs have been servicing my Lexus vehicles for over 15 years. I have had several models and there is no job that Tauk cant handle.
This shop needs to improve, please do not trust your beloved vehicle to this place.
The worst please please stay away, spend your money else where.... this dude cussed out an 17 year old for asking questions about his car... and it’s takes days for your vehicle looked at stay away.. one more thing the prices are outrageous....
