I had an excellent experience renting a car at this location this weekend. When I picked up the car I was really impressed with Andrew at the counter. He was extremely kind and professional to me and the people I heard him on the phone with. He and the two other folks who were working on shuffling cars around were really in sync with each other as well as they coordinated the reservations for the day. It seemed like a really nice work environment and it made me glad to be able to observe that. I recieved the same level of kindness and professionalism from Jose when I returned the car earlier today. These folks could operate a clinic on how to run a business. I will definitely be renting through here in the future.

I cannot say enough about this location here in Clifton. I have been dealing with this location for about 6 years now and I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience. I have seen managers come and go and each and everyone they have put here have gone above and beyond to help with my rentals for both business and personal. Don, Andrew and their crew have been amazing with me since I have been in there every week due to car trouble. I have referred everyone to this location just because of the great service and how welcomed they make me feel.
I originally secured a rental at the rt.23 wayne location. But changed my location to clifton because the wayne location couldnt accommodate my pick up request. This location i have used before and have never had any problems. I would recommend the clifton location for outstanding service and professional employees!!
Where do I begin, this was my first time renting with Enterprise and has not been my last. I just rented again from them and it has been the best experience I’ve ever had. Enterprise overall is very simple and straight to the point with pricing, I’m not hit with any hidden fees or surprises upon arrival. And last but not least, the gentleman in the location of Clifton, NJ are great. Very polite and very accommodating. I’m glad I can go somewhere where I feel comfortable. And also I love the upgrade! 5 STARS!!!

Listen this place is so wierd the staff is something out of 90s sitcom that didnt make it and if your a person of color forget it you wont be happy with the treatment unles you look like one of those weridos that work there. Best place is lodi they have a little bit more respect for everyone....and to keep it a buck .......the staff in the main st clifton branch that work there of color seem to hate they job so much that they will take out on you be aware...

Don and Andrew at this location are so rude and disrespectful. Don suppose to be the manager and was rude and then hung up on me. Not to mention I paid for a week out of pocket they charged Geico for the same week I paid for and didnt give me not one day free or gave me my money back. They try to fast talk you so pay attention. They told me I paid one amount but when I calculated the transactions from my bank account it was not the amount the said. I only went to this location because my insurance set up my reservation after my car got totalled. I wouldnt refer anyone to this location.

This place is horrible. I broke down twice with the vehicle I was provided. I called them and was put on hold. As soon as 12:00 hit the answered phone back and hung up on me. I tried calling back and got voicemail that the location was closed. Not to mention car was not properly clean or sanitized. Andrew and Dawn did nothing to make sure I had a great experience or replaced my vehicle. I would not recommend.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! They don’t answer the phones. I called before I left my job and was on hold the entire 15 ride to their office. I get there and had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to take me to my car.

What a pleasant experience to say the least. Nothing in life is perfect so I wont hold them to that standard. However, they did their best to accommodate me and my needs. I was a bit afraid to get involved with a rental but after my claim was taking longer than expected. I figured I had no choice but to accept the rental as I needed to go to work of course. I was given a brand new Explorer and boy was that thing a monster. I was more nervous driving it and caring for it so I kindly had it swamped out the same day about an hour after I left the lot. No questions asked as they just wanted me to be happy and comfortable. I was then given a 2020 Rouge which was fully loaded and a beauty. The only recommendations I would have for Enterprise is of course reassuring the vehicle is clean as mine was full of dirt, sand and smelled like marijuana. Despite of their no smoking stickers all over the interior clearly its not something they could control once rented. So I didnt make a big deal about it. However, the cleanliness of the SUV couldve been better for sure. As a customer is extremely important you take the time to truly inspect your rental because I feel they can get a bit overwhelmed and rush through it. That only leads to problems later, be sure to have your own photos of the damages and/or anything other things you feel you may need proof for later. Luckily I wasnt found at fault for any of the damages on my rental but can only imagine the feeling if someone else had to take the blame. My overall experience was wonderful Dan and the other young man are exceptional workers and provided great customer service. The young ladies were always pleasant on the phone so I have no complaints whatsoever when speaking in terms of the team. Job well done Enterprise! I will be returning again if I ever need to setup a road trip :)
Tried to get a vehicle which I had a reservation for but honestly they guy just didnt seem to want any business done. Takes forever to come out after seeing us waiting. Which is okay I guess then his vibe was just off which definitely drove us away.

After my experience with Enterprise in Clifton, I was reassured that there are still individuals out there that really value customer service. The manager at this location, Donald Christmann truly exemplifies the art of professionalism. Although we were unable to secure the vehicle of our choosing, he went above and beyond to ensure we were able to obtain the vehicle we needed for our bachelor party. I cannot stress how much one person can positively influence your day even if its not going your way. Donald was a life saver.
Staff very helpful and courteous. Office had a computer issue earlier before I arrived so customers were a little back up, but the staff was working hard to accommodate everyone.
Horrible place. They overbook the cars and then just call you saying we dont have a car available.I booked a car that was showing as available in their website and the next day they called me saying they did not have the car. I had to book the car from them at 11pm because another company had already done the same thing with me (letting me make a reservation and then not having the car) so I saw the car available in their website and booked it for the first hour in the morning.If they did not have the car available they should just not show it as available in their website! I did not look for another car because I found one in this company and now I have a hotel reservation that is going to cost me a lot of money to cancel because they lied saying they have a car available and they didnt!

Have to say good company good car but I really missed my car. Had a really good time drove from New Jersey to Kansas city Wichita then to maine. Had a fantastic time. No problems with car. The staff of enterprise is very good. If you are looking to rent I would recommend Enterprise anytime. When every I travel long distances I always rent from Enterprise.

I picked a rental as my personal car had to be serviced. All backend communication happened between the enterprise and the body shop. I also got an upgrade, which was nice.Negative: There were some rate discussions - the enterprise sales person wanted to charge extra money that was not in the contract or the rates mentioned. He tried to scroll fast on the tablet but I stopped him and we went line by line and he could not prove the amount he wanted to charge. After spending some time on the tablet he was was able to show me a value on the screen that was significantly less than what he was asking for.The car was not cleaned. The person said they had sanitized the vehicle. I would have expected Enterprise to completely wiped and sanitize everything in this Covid situation. NO - I took a picture of one wipe after wiping the steering wheel. I can share the picture with Enterprise leadership if they are interested. I got home and throughly cleaned the car before using. Not something I would expect to do with a rental on the day I pick it up.I had a real bad experience both for rates and cleanliness. I am not going to rent from Enterprise again.
Late review, but I had a great and smooth experience here. Gira was very patient and helpful with me every step of the way. Was driving my rental out the lot before I knew it. Would recommend 👍🏼

I am a HUGE Enterprise rental fan. I rent so often by the location near me, that the staff and I have become family. This time I got a car from Clifton NJ, and was horrified. The agents were pleasant, but the car was a hot mess. The smoke smell was masked with a strong fragrance. Then there were black ladies unnies in the backseat, fake eyelashes in the glove compartment, a lighter and lip gloss all left in the car, and I learned the dirty back window was not dirty, it was tinted by renter before me, and they removed themselves to save money. I emailed Enterprise about the issue and said I had the issues and they offered me to come back there to exchange and I clearly told them no I am not driving an hour back to exchange, please just put reservation in for a local Enterprise and I never heard back. When I returned car I explained all issues to pleasant employee and she explained with the pandemic they are getting cars from all over because so many locations closed. I heard that and accepted the apologies, but the communication from this location lacked still.
Very good and thanks to them they checked the vehicle before renting it out again and found something i left behind.. thks guys .. appreciate it ..
Giving this place “4 Stars” only because I was not informed about the insurance policy after telling the sales representative I have insurance and want EVERYTHING going through them (unexpected fees). It was a very trying time for me due to the car accident and having to pay out so much for something that wasn’t my fault (sucks). But God is good, I paid out what needed to be pay, Enterprise worked with me and wind up leaving there (end of contract) a much more satisfying customer.
Staff is courteous and efficient. The vehicle was ready for pickup and very clean, unlike experiences with other locations.
You should never rent a car from Enterprise. I,d rented once but I did not what was going to happen. they charged me extra Ez-Pass Tolls which was not acceptable. even though Ive used my Ez-Pass Device. I think they should be very good friend outside. I guess many people like me they pay extra money. BE CAREFUL GUYS!!!

He didnt have to - but he did...I recall a month prior going to a competitor and then told ME to drive to the other location and rent the car. The Clifton staff does a great job and were very professional. Highly recommended.

Absolutely useless. We rented the medium car online a day before. They only had a truck for us the next day. Definitely suggest an enterprise on a different location.

Not a place where you want to rent a car. Please read below before going in here.Got in to accident and insurance was paying for the car. I was told for the insurance i should get Nissan Maxima ( or same class car) fully loaded.- Went there to get the car, they dint have anything similar so I got Ford Fusion, base model, no sensors, no navigation, no leather not even close to what i should get. They told me they dont have anything else, it was take it or leave it deal. I Agreed- They asked me if i have crash insurance - i told them no, just liability and they told me they cant give me the car without full coverage, what is a lie. After 15 min going back and forth, I agree to pay them for the full coverage because they didnt want to give me the car and i was late for work because of this. Got this resolved later after i had to involve the insurance, the place manager etc.- Called there on the last day the car was paid until, the girl told me i have to bring it back before 6 pm as they are going to charge me extra one day. Got off work early and rush to return it at 5:50pm just for the guy there to tell me i could drop it off later free of charge. Again, lie.- Once checked out i asked them to give me a ride to the body shop - less than 1 mile away so i can pick up my car as they close at 6 pm (in 5 minutes) and i wont make it if i wait for Uber or walk. Employee said: we offer that service, but you know, we close in 5 minutes, i have none to give you the ride, people want to go home, i can call the auto body for you. - Well i know how to call them, - again failed.Would i go here again? - NO NO NOWould i suggest this place? NO NO NO

Awesome customer service! I went to a different enterprise and they rented the car my reservation was made on too out to some one else. Luckily this location was able to accommodate my reservation, and when I noticed a problem with one of the tires in the car they set up for me, they were able to give me another car even though they were booked solid for the day. As a business traveler i deal with a lot of rental car companies. This location in Clifton is the most professional and competent i deal with nationwide. Not an airport location but its worth the savings and time to get here from the airport. The vehicles are always top notch as well as the selection.
The 12 passenger van that we rented was new (3500 miles) and very clean. I was picked up promptly from home to get the van. Having done the paperwork the day before, it made getting the vehicle fast and efficient. The only drawback was getting it with only a half tank of gas. I wound up putting gas in to fill it as I am apprehensive about driving an unfamiliar vehicle 100+ miles without starting with a full tank.
I recently rented a car from Clifton Enterprise and my experience was the best due to the extra care and professionalism I received from Christa she made me feel very comfortable and she was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I rented I am definitely coming back to rent again with her. I was very satisfied with the service, the car, the price, and the return process.
Last car I rented was terrible...I reserved a full size car...was down graded to a compact car that was filthy with animal hair...drivers side rear tire slow leak...and already bad transmission that would only change gears when it got to 4000 RPMs....Terrible experience!!!!

The service was great for pick up- Ashley was wonderful ! Then when I brought it back...I returned the car, with no issues, on December 29th and was told I would receive my $249.28 (?) deposit within2-3 days. Allowing for the holiday, I have been waiting for a week. I am not a happy camper-this is not pocket change!
My experience was ok but Im not sure that the cars are being cleaned properly as they say they are.
Service was prompt and courteous. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I would totally recommend Enterprise to my friends. Loved that they stated clearly how the car was for non-smoking only, being a non smoker I very much appreciated a car that didnt have that scent :)
Horrible Service ‘ Made a reservations and when when I went to pick Management could not find it told me try another place’
I would give them zero stars but you can’t so I had to give them at least 1 star.It was bad service from the beginning to the end. They had my charge card messed up with multiple charges. The assistant manager ran my card twice because he said it didn’t go through, but it did. When I brought it to thier attention, and showed them my Capital One transactions. The manager was dismissive as if I was trying to run a scam or something. And I won’t mention how very condescending he was. There was numerous issues with this location/rental.I was in Newark on personal business, I’m from Kentucky and we naturally have southern hospitality, I kept my cool but those guys need to learn Customer Service etiquette, regardless of what part of the country they service. I’ve been a Enterprise Car renter for 13 years, my kids play on travel AAU leagues this is probably the worst experience I’ve had to date renting a car. Needless to say I might have to try other car rentals.

I was visiting my parents for the holiday and needed a car to rent. I went on Orbitz and procured on online. My father dropped me off an hour early because he had errands to run. It was about 11am when I arrived. So, I and my young son waited for some time to be approached. Finally, I asked, because I was early if there was any cars available or I can wait for the 12 noon reservation.After 15 mins, an Enterprise rep came to me and said they didnt have any cars for rental until 4pm. I said, no, I had a reservation for 12 noon and they said they still didnt have any! They apologized and gave me no reason.I cancelled the reservation and found one at Hertz who honored my reservation. I had to use a Lyft to get there. Thanks Enterprise!That is why Enterprise at Clifton, NJ got a one star. It should really be no stars.

I have been using the Enterprise Clifton location for many years, for primarily business reasons, and have always been treated as a special customer by all involved. Quite recently I had to rent for several weeks on a personal basis as my car was in the shop for repairs.Again, I was treated very well, and each rental was followed up with a personal telephone call either from the customer service person, or Sarah herself. Sarah is an outstanding manager always going the extra mile for me and other customers (as I can tell when I am there), and seems to be well respected by her co workers.The only area I can see for improvement would be the condition of the vehicles. I have had to return a few automobiles for bad steering, bad brakes, and quite recently my wife received a ticket for an expired inspection sticker, which was handled by the location, but did drive my wife a bit nuts for awhile.I plan on continuing to use the Enterprise location in Clifton for all of my rental needs, both business and personal, as I expect to receive the same high quality service as I normally do.
Wonderful experience. My car was hit twice with in a 6 month period and both times my car was in the body shop i was given a rental threw enterprise clifton. I work at a repair shop myself and deal with Hawthorne Enterprise and every one ive encountered with the company so far is pleasant and very helpful

No cars were available near me online. I called Enterprise to see if they could find anything. Representative found a car and made a reservation. I called an Uber. Enterprise location called me to say that there were no cars at that location in spite of the reservation. Cost me $5 cancellation fee for an Uber. Enterprise had no cars to help me with my emergency!
