After several disappointing auto repairs, I gave Contreras a call. Even as busy as the owner was, he got my truck in and out, with excellent communications as to the diagnostics, what it would cost for the repairs. His quote, lower than others I had paid, was well worth it. Extremely professional and thorough. Highly recommend and we will be using Contreras in the future.

Was traveling through the area a few months back. Had a P0171 and a whining fuel pump. Brought it in, and was recommended to try BG 44k Fuel system cleaner. He said these fuel pumps always whines and it wasnt the cause of the code. Have done 2 cans, code is gone, and car runs way better. Thanks!

The experience was fantastic! The men here were professional and friendly and took us right in- we had a coolant leak in our Jeep Liberty on our way out of town and needed to get it taken care of before we could hit the road. They got us in and out quickly and were helpful every step of the way. I highly recommend Contreras for anyone needing services in the area.

I took my car in because the engine light wasawas on and Pedro thoroughly tested the systems to find the problem. One thing I really appreciated was that he explained how the faulty system works and what the problem was and treated me with respect while he did it. I sometimes find that men take a dont worry your pretty little head about it approach when talking to women but Pedro automatically just explained the issue in detail. I will be taking my car here from now on and recommending him to others.

Highly recommend Contreras Auto Repair in Grand Junction! We were taken care of very quickly, efficiently, and with above & beyond customer service. Water Pump went out and we were towed to their place. They had us back on the road in less than 4 hours!! It was very great working with this family!!

Raul was a lifesaver. We were driving to Moab and were hearing a strange sound coming from the front drivers side tire. We called several places along the way and no one answered. Then Raul answered and even though they were closing at 5 he said he’d stay open ten more minutes so we could be seen since we were still a ways out. He quickly diagnosed the problem and even showed us an easy fix. Thankfully the noise wasn’t dangerous but it gave us so much peace of mind given we still had 8 more hours of driving to our destination and home. We are seriously so thankful for their dedication and honesty. Raul and his dad opened this shop together. They are good people!

We have never had a better experience with a shop! After our bus converted to RV broke down due to the last shop being highly negligent they got us right in! It was quite a big fix and we were delayed a week but they worked hard and kept us updated every step of the way. Raul helped us with suggestions for cheap stays nearby. This father/son duo are top-notch

Showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. Stayed late to install the part that needed to be delivered so that I could get back on the road. Can’t thank them enough.

Had to have front and rear brake pads and rotors replaced. Pedro at Contreras Auto Repair gave me estimate that was much lower than the other Brake Specialists in the area. Brought my van to him and 3 hrs later I was on the road with great stopping power. I would highly recommend this family owned business. I will be using them from now on for any auto repairs.

Worst mechanic ever! He fixed one thing and broke a more expensive part than the original repair. If I could give negative stars I would! For the prices this guy charges you might as well go to the dealership. He came highly recommended but in all honesty he’s not worth it. They also prefer you pay in cash so there is no record of you doing business with them. Their shady dealings is what caused them to close up the other shop on 12th street just because the name changed from Colima’s auto repair to Contreras auto repair doesn’t mean it’s a new mechanic it’s the same ppl that rip you off

I took my vehicle to this place because I was having some brake issues and everything cost 500$ this price does not include new brake pads or rotors supposedly one of my calipers was bad and they rebuild it? I checked at autozone and a new brake caliper was 85$ so I don’t understand where all the money I paid went I will never go back to these guys again and I would absolutely never recommend them!

Trash messed up my transmission couldnt be a man and admit it and fix mistakes went else where and car is perfect in 1 day he had for 3 weeks worst mechanic ever him and his son i rate 0 do not come here
