I have definitely experienced the long wait times for calls, etc. but every time the person on the phone or at the actual office has been very nice and helpful. I’m sure the employees are just as frustrated with the system as we are! I think they have been doing a great job, you just need to plan on it taking a few hours on calls.

Had a scheduled appointment for renewal on Oct 1 2021, was on hold all day and no one ever came to the phone. Called today at 9am and it is now 11:00 and I am still on hold. No one ever comes to the phone. How can I complete a scheduled interview? But then I will be cut off due to not talking to someone for a scheduled appointment even though I called in on time and not my fault! This place needs to get it together!

No stars!! Girl who would not give name. Would not send me paper work so I could have my food stamp benifits reevaluated. My expenses have change significantly. She said her mom was on disability like me and thats all she gets in benefits. She has no qualifications to make that decision. So dismissive and disrespectful. The fact that they never answer is baffling to me because if your building is closed and you never like to answer what could you possibly be doing? The attitudes need to stop and judging people as well because we need help. Everyone needs help once and awhile we don’t need you employees to judge us and talk to us like we are stupid.This place has a rating of 1.5 stars, maybe you guys should read our reviews because it’s definitely not us, it’s you.

Yikes, what a mess. Didn’t think trying to CANCEL your Medicaid would be such a problem. What a nightmare trying to be responsible. Let me preface that COVID probably affected the normal process some, but in no way is it an excuse for how this entity is run.My story: I was an older student making a career change and needed Medicaid for one year. Simple right? I never re-applied for a second year, because I didn’t need it. My coverage was scheduled to end November 2020 close to graduation. Easy right? I notice almost 3 months later, my Medicaid is still active, even though I did not re-apply or produce any new documents for another year of coverage. I now have a full-time job, insurance, and no longer need Medicaid. I guess working and making a decent salary doesn’t trigger your Medicaid coverage to end. Crazy...There’s no SIMPLE “cancel” button online (there should be), so you have to keep calling and calling until you get through. You’ll get transferred multiple times, and maybe by your third attempt actually get your Medicaid coverage cancelled. Keep in mind each attempt will take 1+ hour. I finally got through to end coverage today, but will recheck my status in a few months. Not convinced it’s over. The person on the phone didnt give me any confirmation number, and I received no email. Nothing. No proof of cancellation as far as I am concerned.Any responsible person trying to end their Medicaid coverage, I highly suggest just faxing over a letter stating such. Save yourself the trouble. This way you have documentation. It shouldn’t be your responsibility the system is this messed up. I shouldn’t even be covered anymore. Knowing what I went through, I bet there are people in the system that haven’t produced documents in years, yet still have coverage. This entity is the epitome of government. Yes, they are helping some people, but there is massive waste ($$$) on both ends (the employees and the beneficiaries). The whole process/website/etc. needs a massive overhaul.

I have been on hold for 3 hours trying send in information that they asked for they don’t want yo to come in they throw away an faxed or mailed in forms an don’t want to answer the phone mind you most case workers are working from home but as soon as I miss the deadline it’s my fault an they want to take whatever benefits they do give me my dis line is 12/7 I did not receive the letter till 11/30 they call is lazy for needing help but they don’t want to do they job why take a job to help people knowing you really don’t

Rude, inpatient, sarcastic staff. Dont want to help but thats part their job. It is sad because in certain situations we the public have to deal with them regardless of the slow service, rude staff.

Building is closed until further notice which sucks if you have to have copies or documents submitted for your case I ended up making zerox copies & mailing the documents hopefully someone will realize why I sent the documents through US mail rather than to attempt to fax the documents

I hate that there is no way to send an email or get real-time help through an online chat option... the only option you have is to call a million times and the line wont even put you on hold to wait or put you on a call-back list, theyll just say theyre experiencing high call volumes and hang you up with no options or help. I think I filed my unemployment wrong but Ive had no help along the way and now Im stuck. The whole process is frustrating and especially during this time of COVID-19, Im getting so frustrated with the governments ability to be efficient and truly helpful to the citizens of this country. I just feel completely stuck and frustrated. 0 stars, bro. Get it together, government. You suck.

They continuously give out the employer number, then after waiting on hold for over an hour, the woman gave me ANOTHER number. After I explained to her this was the number someone else gave me - she talked over me as loud as she could to give me another number. I told her she didn’t have to be rude as I’ve been given this number by the last person I spoke with - she hung up on me .. these people are so rude automatically to you, no matter how nice you are . The most unprofessional people I’ve ever spoken to. I’ve been waiting NINE weeks for unemployment and they still haven’t done anything with my claim nor can I get in touch with anyone

Went here to get my EBT renewed. Was on time, even a bit early for my appointment. When I got to reception desk and showed my paperwork, they told me I had to call the number for a phone interview. I explained to them I had a mental disorder (ADHD) and would rather see someone in person. Then they told me that they couldnt do that because they were turned into a call center. Nowhere in the paperwork they sent me does it specifically say that that they were now strictly a call center. I was already there, I wanted to speak to a live person, not a recording. They then told me to go to the big waiting room on the other side of the building and take a number. I did just that, and after waiting about twenty minutes my number was finally called. I then showed my paper work to the people at the desk, and they told me the same thing the others had told me. I then had to explain to them about my disability. They put my name in the system and said I probably had to wait a half hour or so. About a half hour, or so later my name was finally called, GreatI thought, Im finally able to see an actual person.. What I got was a cold, non-personable, black woman who acted like I was inconveniencing her. I got my EBT renewed, but I wish that they would be a little more understanding about people with mental disabilities. We arent faking this! This is something we have to deal with every day! We may look normal on the outside, but our struggles are going on inside. This is why Im giving them only one star.

Ive been on hold for a combined total of 6 hours across multiple days to schedule an appointment for reapplying for food assistance. Multiple phone calls placed since Thursday, January 2nd. The letter they send out has a appointment date of Friday, January 10th. Problem is I need to call to get a time for said appointment, and I cannot get that time because they never seem to answer their phones. Abysmal customer service. They dont even deserve 1.4 star rating they currently have.

I’ve been on hold for 2 hours. They closed my case because I was unable to make it to the office to turn in time sheets n prof of income. I was faxing my information to the wrong number. The same exact number that’s on your redetermination letter. Like we do our job they job n still get kicked off assistance.

Every time Ive tried to call these people, they never answered. Now when they finally do answer, the operator was pretty nice, but the woman I was transferred to was not. She started out okay but when she asked me what money type I had, I wasnt sure what that was. She got all snippy with me because I wasnt sure what it was, I had never been asked that question before. And by the end of the call, she just sounded uninterested and tired. Not exactly what I would consider to be good customer service. First you get snippy with me because Im not sure what you mean by something and then you just wanna get off the phone with me as quick as possible when I didnt even do anything? Rude.

I applied for child care assistance. Was told to bring back a letter from employer. I did the next day. After a month I called to see whats was going on and the caseworker said she denied my case since I didnt bring the letter. I told her I did and I have a receipt showing I did. Then then checks and says ok you did but I still denied your case. You have start over she was very rude. She made the mistake not me but of course Im the one who pays for it.

If you can see how much I get in child support then why cant you see its ending. I really dont like how they act and treat people I work in customer service as well and I would be fired for not doing my job.

Its so sad that the people that the state put in place to represent the people lack competence and compassion! These people dont answer phones and they do not return calls! If/when they do they have the most unprofessional attitudes that they can possibly have! What ever happen to customer service! It makes you wonder where do they find these people!For a few years now I needed the courtesy of receiving food assistance! Sometimes in life things happen, and that does not includes your not being ambitious enough! My caseworker(s) year after year when its time to have the phone interview fail me! Its just that simple! They say that they are going to call at one time and end up calling many hours later! Like Im in my position, but Im not going to be waiting on you looking at the phone hoping you call like you said you would. I expect you to, jus like you expect me to! A lot of these caseworkers are on their high horses! Im not knocking what you do, but you are a caseworker! How high can that horse possibly be! Im just saying! These caseworkers are going to talk reckless and try to make you feel small! This recent interview didnt happen because my caseworker chose to call me right before she left out the office door! That day was semi busy for me, and it could have been busy for her! I called and I called! I left voicemail after voicemail! Do you think she would be decent enough to return my call? No! What is the point of a voicemail/answering machine? My cell phone # isnt on file, but what does that even matter if the Caseworker doesnt check messages! How could I have update my info! I dont like their new automated system. You literally have to wait 30 minutes to an hour to speak to a caseworker and when you get someone, theyre rude. I was able to speak to someone who was nice enough . she helped me out a lot AFTER the fact that the previous agent made me reapply in error. They dont provide a personal connection and there are many long pauses between questions. Overall, they seem like unhappy people.

Applied for medical for my daughter over 70 days ago. She is eligible. Never received a call or letter for any information. They state the application was not received even though I have a confirmation number and took a picture of it on my phone. They make it very hard to get help when you really need help. Very frustrating.

I have been calling sinse May 26 and it is now June 4th I have left probably a dozen call back requests throughout this period they still won’t call back so I sit on hold every day for several hours just to have them hang up on me and transfer from department to department apperantly no one knows what is going on everyone should be fired.

Have tried to call multiple times and have yet to speak to a person, you either can leave a vm or sit only hold only to have no one ever pick up the other line. my boyfriend and I have left multiple (nearing 10) voice mails on Susan Bordeaux voice mail and on the general line voice mails and yet to receive a call back. This has been a 2 month long battle and its absolutely ridiculous.And apparently no one there knows how to file paper work because we have submitted paper work and then have been asked to resubmit the same paper work. Can someone there please do their job, some people are waiting for you to do your job so they can have medical assistance. Thanks.

The customer service team Do Not return phone calls and they donot want you to lee more than one message because if you do, such as in my case, you DONT get a call back at all. Ive been waiting over three weeks for the caseworker to callback and to date have nor received a call. Same with written correspondence, they dont sent thst out either.... thus my reason for call. Shame on you ODJF... My mother really needs assistance at least a return.
