Came back to visit family in Cleveland and stopped in to my alma mater. Wanted to work out so I got a short term membership at the CSU Rec. Center. Staff and facilities for the whole place are absolutely amazing. Working out was limited to the pool due to issues with my arms and shoulders. Staff at the pool were friendly, incredible and supportive. Joe the Supervisor was incredibly helpful and kind. Very proud of CSU and the young people who are coming up from there.

Great college gym, lots of equipment so the wait is never too long .

Really cool place to exercise and also have fun with friends.

3 floors of Recreation, thay have everything from multiple basketball-, squash- and racket ball courts, air hockey, ping pong, and pool billiard tables. Further have they a lot of machines for cardio and weight lifting. Besides that do they also have an assortment of courses like Yoga, spinning, Zumba, Tai Chi and all the such. In addition o all of this do they have an Olympic sized pool that always keeps a lane open even when the swim is training. And to just chill with friends do they have a E-sports area with different Consoles to wind down after a good workout.

This is a really nice facility!

CSU is a great place to work out! Its so clean and the daylight that comes into the building is nice and refreshing. It also smells very clean. ☺️ They have EVERYTHING you would ever need to hit your fitness goals, including group fitness classes.Its most definitely worth it 🤗You can even dollar skate in the lower gym!If they would add a sauna and a hot tub, I would never leave. It would be better than Lifetime.

University of Akron rec center is definitely better no doubt in terms of equipment selection and general maintenance. But now that I am in Cleveland my hands are tied. At the very least it is the best gym in downtown Cleveland.

Good gym but buy a really good lock. People steal from the locker room.Its also too loud here during circuit days. My ear buds are nearly maxed out and Im on another floor and I still have a hard time hearing over it.Im at the gym 2-4 times weekly. I get my gym membership with my student status. If I wasnt a student Id be at a different gym.

Great gym with a lot of workout equipment options and plenty of floor space to stretch. They have a decent amount of treadmills, an indoor track, plenty of stationary bikes and two free weight areas, indoor courts for basketball, squash, racquetball, volleyball and a large swimming pool. The womans locker room has empty daily use lockers available - bring your own lock. The only issue is parking around the gym.

I am very happy with what gym can offer. However, i was very disappointed by what i experienced today. I went swimming the other day and i was told I could use the locker if I bring my own lock which i did bring it with me. I was not told i could not leave my things in the locker nor the locker had any indication that i cant use the locker overnight. when i got to the gym today, i realized that they took everything out of my locker. when i went to the front desk to talk with people they kept me half an hour to talk with their manager and to top it up, i was being ignored even after i talked with her. she put off to give me my things back.she was just doing it in purpose. I am a rule follower, I can barely remember when was the last time i broke a rule. But this time i dont feel like i am breaking the rule. First of all, it was not stated that i cant leave my thing there. Second of all, i should have told nicely to wait for a little bit (the truth is she was just ignoring me.) VERY DISAPPOINTED ;(

I love the Lady Locker room. It always clean, the employees are super friendly, there is something for everyone and the facility is bright, high energy and spacious. I never feel encroachment on my space when I’m working out. Excellent facility.

Always clean. This rev center has the equipment and space to complete every facet of your recreational experience.

Awesome gym. Lots of equipment and awesome classes included in the membership. This is absolutely the cheapest gym downtown so for that reason Id recommend. If you want a good full body workout I do not recommend the Zumba class they offer here. Much too slow even for me and Im very overweight.

While the gym is fairly well maintained (cleanliness still could be improved), there are NO PAPER TOWELS in the locker rooms!! They removed all of them and went to blowers only, except for 1 unit, which is either empty or broken. We certainly pay enough for membership, it should include PAPER TOWELS!! Tried to relay comments to front desk and they said management wouldnt listen to them anyways, so nothing has been done. Put the freaking paper towel dispensers back in the locker rooms!!!!!

The facility and the programs they offer are absolutely amazing. It has a well trained and courteous staff and is nicely located in the center of the city. Very reasonable pricing.

The facility is amazing. The staff is great. The class instructors are friendly and helpful. I will pay for a membership when Im no longer a student of CSU.

The hours for this gym are horrible considering it is a big university rec center in a city. Gym should be open till 10 on weekdays and 8 or 9 on weekends. Closing at 6pm on a Sunday is really inconvenient. I went to a small college in rural Ohio and our gym had better hours than CSU.The gym is otherwise convenient and has good equipment. Employees are nice and helpful.

Great facility. The best pool in Cleveland. The polite mostly student pool and rec staff restores my faith in humanity.

The mornings are the perfect time. Always room for any set of equipments. The staff is super friendly with a smile on their face.

Gym is almost $100 altogether to join... $50 initiation fee and $46 per month. They shut down for maintenance from May 13th to the 19th. I asked if they could add those 7 days if I join during the month of May so that I dont get ripped off and pay almost $100 for just 3 weeks. They said they cannot add on even a single day. Cold blooded money hungry machine. My goodness...

Has every machine you need to workout with. Nice and friendly staff. Clean. And A lot of space as well as programs like Zumba cycling etc.

The staff at the pool are extremely nice, and caring. The rec is frequently packed and the machines are often unavailable. The basketball courts are reserved for Lebrons only, no beginners... don’t even try you might die.

Awesome rec center, one of my favorite pools that Ive ever been to with awesome hours. Only downfall is the track is pretty short and has really sharp corners, it would be nice if they had a competition track.

Was a good place to watch a swim meet. However, one of the boards broke which caused a delay. Bathrooms were okay and refreshments were decently priced.

They do not allow guests to check out any equipment. I paid for a 5 day pass to come play basketball. After paying I asked if I could check out a basketball using my state ID and they said they would not let me check out a basketball or refund the 5 day pass. Would not recommend

The campus is always improving. I cant tell you how happy I am that they are finally investing in the engineering building. It was so poor before I found very little value in taking a computer engineering major but now Id most definitely be interested!!!

Great Rec center. More than just a gym. They have a massive pool that always saves space for rec swimmers. The circuit area is great with enough machines to share and keep you busy. There are a variety of classes offered, and for all those folks who like to hoop (play basketball) they have like 3 courts and a fairly friendly crown if youre looking to pickup games. Check out the billiard and pong tables....you may run into me there!! Anyone who gives less than 5 stars is a hater who looks for problems where there arent any. Lol

Great gym as long as you go when it isnt really busy. Im a student at CSU so its awesome to have such a nice gym to use.

A state of the art recreation center with something for everyone. 2 Olympic size pools, quality basketball courts, plenty of weightlifting equipment, as well as billiards, racquetball, ping pong, etc. Free for CSU students.

Showed up to see a high school basketball game, one computer working with 6 people standing around, finally took my money and let me in but after not getting directed to where I need to go I got yelled at that I wasnt allowed in that area. It was a total joke!!! Dont want to go back!
