This was a very difficult experience for me, but Bart Bookatz showed me the understanding and compassion that I certainly appreciated. He led me through every detail and made me feel very comfortable with all of the necessary decisions that had to be made. He assured that the service was very heart-warming and beautiful. Michael was extremely responsive and helpful to me. There were a few problems that came up and he handled them professionally and kept me informed. Respect was shown always. The only thing I would suggest is how the video of the service was handled. Having it posted on utube we considered inappropriate. Perhaps a private link would be better. It was taken down immediately when requested. My experience overall was extremely positive.

Logged into today for a memorial service and the camera was turned toward the folding doors for the entire service. I was unable to see any of the service. Obviously the staff did not check the camera angle for those of us unable to attend due to the pandemic. Very disappointed!!!

Although staff was friendly, the video we created to represent my grandpa did not work. We were not aware of this issue until we arrived- it seems that this issue was ongoing and we were promised two screens projecting this video. We were extremely disappointed and sad that we were unable to watch this video as a whole family to celebrate my grandpas life. Along with the lack of technology in the funeral home, the live stream of the service was poorly done. The quality of the video was horrible and the sound was off. Overall, we felt disappointed and devastated after having the experience all of these technical difficulties as many of our family members were unable to attend due to COVID 19.

Bart came to my home, discussed my specific needs and requirements, especially during this difficult pandemic with all its limitations. He provided chairs for an outside service in my backyard, laid out all the costs, advised me on what I would need to order, including copies of the death and cremation certificates, and, in general was both helpful and supportive. I am very appreciative.

Worst experience ever! No contract or price list was given when the family met with Bart Bookatz. Instead he brought the contract to the cemetery the next day & wanted to conduct business minutes after I was given my fathers flag. He screwed up the obituary in 3 newspapers & on line. After filing a written complaint, he apologized & issued a credit on the bill. Then it took over 2 months to get a refund from the insurance check. No one in our family will ever use them again.

Very unprofessional service, no compassion whatsoever displayed by the director we had to deal with, the focus is only on how to get as much money as possible out of you. No respect for the diseased. They did not even let us identify our grandma to ensure they have the right person. We had to leave and look for another funeral home, once we found a different funeral home we came back to request to transfer our grandma to a different funeral home, and were told that we are not able to identify our grandma prior to transfer. Had to argue with the funeral director in order to get an ability to identify our grandma and ensure they will be transferring her. The worst experience I have ever had.

Every detail was handled thoughtfully and with kindness, sensibility and sensitivity. For our family it was returning to Cleveland under anxious circumstances and a tragic, unexpected loss and we were guided and shepherded through the process in the best way possible. I had an excellent experience with this Funeral home. My both parents passes away 10 month apart . My mother passed away a few days ago and Michael Kumin was helping me to set up all the arrangement. I felt compassion and support. The guys who were at the cemetery were also very compassion. When I read all the reviews on Google I was surprised that people were not satisfied with the service. I can not express my gratitude to the staff, to Michael Kumin who was leading the service and to Kirk who helped me in the past with all the arrangements when my dad passed away. I have never wrote reviews before, never felt need for it, but this time was just soooo beyond being DISAPPOINTED!!! When you are looking for a funeral home, you want somebody who will not only provide a service, but also understand that you are in the most difficult time and place in your life. You cannot think straight at that moment and that place is taking 100% ADVANTAGE of it!!!  They were sooo RUDE I cant even explain. . They were YELLING  at us!!! They told us, quote You can take your grandmother and GO TO A DIFFERENT PLACE. When we were speaking to an owner,  he turned his back to us and left while we were speaking to him!!! So we took our grandma to another place. . That is exactly what you want to do when the funeral is the next day. They knew that, and they thought that we will just go with everything they offer because it is so hard to find another place in less then 24 hours.. Also they charge us almost $400!!!! because they took grandma from the hospital to their funeral home. That also part of their plan, when they have the deceased body,  they think you have no choices and they can do and ask for whatever they want. I want to tell you that you do have a choice,  there are many other places that will do it in very traditional way, they will be nicer and we paid less money(even though we paid $400 on top to this terrible place) !!!
