You never know what you are going to get when you bring in a company for a project. Andy was great in responding and we had to juggles schedules a bit for him to show up and give me a quote. He gave me sound advice on what I could and could not do to stay in the city’s code enforcement’s good graces. I then had them remove a tree that died and became an eyesore. The tree was removed and my yard looks a 1000 times better. You can’t ask for a better result than dealing with an honest genuinely likable guy such as Andy. We had a little oak tree trying to grow in our flower bed. It was getting tall enough to band the windows at night, allow rats on the roof, and break the concrete on the flower bed. After a windy night I could not take the banging on the window any longer and started calling tree services in the morning. Many of them had crazy rates or told me they were four weeks out. I asked Andy to take some rather large limbs down in my backyard in between removing a pool enclosure and putting another one up. It was the only time they could get heavy equipment in to do the job. I needed two oak trees in the front of the house trimmed up. Affordable Tree Service received good reviews and was close to my home so I called Andy for an estimate. He came out the next morning for an estimate and the price was fair so I told him to do it. To my surprise and delight said he would start on it but had to get his helper first. He returned shortly and started work. A couple of hours later and the trees look great! Trees have a balanced look and natural symmetry in the canopies. A huge improvement over the shaggy look they had before. The job was handled quickly and all trimmings were raked up and taken away. I will definitely recommend Affordable Tree Service for tree work and will call him back when ready.

We needed to trim back a 53-year old camphor tree that was hanging over the house. A complicated job with power lines, cable tv, limited access, etc. The team did a great job setting up and professionally making short work, branch by branch, cleaning up as they went. They had four people with each having a different task. The job went smoothly and quickly. The yard looked better than when they arrived

After calling Affordable Tree Service for an estimate I needed to have 2 large oak branches removed from over my house. Andy arrived on time for the estimate and gave me a very reasonable price for the amount of work that needed to be done. I told them to go ahead with the work and they arrived on time and did what I thought was an excellent job. I did not use this service. My neighbors 2 and 3 door down did. This crew brought their truck and a heavy trailer through the back of our properties using an easement. The ground was super saturated due to rains for an entire week. They parked the truck and trailer in my yard. I am trying to be a good neighbor and did not say anything. It made no sense to me why they would not bring the equipment all the way to the yards that they were working in. They had to carry all the branches to lots to fill their trailer. When they completed their work they attempted to drive the truck and trailer out. They had no traction. They spun the tires until they sunk the tires into the dirt and the truck was stuck. I cam outside and that point and asked them what they were going to do about the damage that they had done. At first very confrontational saying they were on easement and they were allowed to be their. I corrected them because the city themselves had done a survey and I know the property line and they were on mine. Regardless if it is easement or not. Why damage the turf. They said that they would repair the damage with topsoil and plant seed latter in the day. I took them for their word. They did not until I told my neighbor who had the work done about what happened. He just told me today that they were not going to do anything until he told them that he would not write them a good review. Yesterday 1 man came out with a couple of bags of soil. It was not enough. Also no grass seed. They may do good work trimming trees, but dont seem to live up to their work and have no regard for turf that people try to maintain and keep in good order

After a recent storm, a branch from a neighbors laurel oak tree was hanging by a few wooden threads over my drive way, and just over the front end of my pickup. I had already replaced the hood on my truck once this year, I didnt want to shell out more for another hood so soon. I called Andy. He came by the next day. Prompt, courteous, professional in his assessment of my dilemma and the health of the tree. He pointed out good cuts from bad and he noticed that he would need to land the branch softly instead of simply letting the branch fall where it may and possibly disturb pavers in my drive way. Andy was amazing! We called during a tropical storm with a tree coming through the roof and he was out within an hour. He worked through rain and wind to cut the tree back and tarp the roof. He even had to make a run to Home Depot to get extra supplies and finished the job by shining his truck lights on the roof. Came back the next morning to check his work and to see if anything else needed done.I would recommend them to anybody and will use him for any tree work I need to have done. Highly recommend!

The Palm Tree trimming was really good - my Palm Trees look great. Andy shows up early, gets started right away and works through the day until the job is finished. Pricing is competitive and everyone on Andys team is friendly and professional. I called for an estimate on a tree that I wanted to trim in preparation for hurricane season and the owner Andy was able to meet me same day for the estimate. He was very professional and after looking at the tree he informed me that the tree was healthy and wouldn’t need a trimming and that I should save my money. 2nd Review:The palm tree I mentioned below in the first review was quickly and neatly taken care of by Andy and Tem last week. When we bought the property there was a pair of tall palm trees in the front yard. Year after year we paid to have the dead fronds and seed pods removed. Hurricane Irma came along a couple of years back anda brisk wind dropped one of them in my from yard thankfully away from the car and the house. When Andy was out to remove the Magnolia tree he mentioned the palm may be hollow in places and another strong wind could take down the remaining palm. I told Andy we were not quite ready and we would give him a call when it was time. Last week I called Andy out and he scheduled a time later in the week to take out the palm. He arrived early in front of scheduled and asked it it was ok to start. Within an hour Andy and his worker had the palm neatly tucked in his truck. I barley had time to finish my morning coffee before I was thanking Andy for doing such a quick and neat job. Andy and his worker used safety cones to warn passer-by traffic to exercise care as the tall palm fell just on the edge of the street. Andy and his worker were quick to remove every trace of the palm, clearing the roadway first and working back to the stump that was cut low enough mulch would cover. He even recut the old stump left by the first palm so mulch would cover it. Andy gave us some free advice about planting the replacement bottle brush. For the second time I strongly advise you when you need tree service call Affordable Tree for quick neat friendly service. Andy will get the job done!1st ReviewAndy and Team were great! They arrived on time Saturday morning to remove my dying magnolia tree. They carefully removed a fence section and brought his lift into our back yard. Old Maggie had been there for 30 or forty years but when her branches did not fill in this year we contacted Andy. (AFFORDABLE TREE) had just finished a trimming job across the street and we were impressed with how clean the yard was afterwards. He agreed that the tree was dying and it was best let it go before it fell. Our back yard is typically small and there were plenty of power and cable lines to avoid. Our magnolia was surrounded by a circle of shrubs. Andy was careful to see that they remained. It was one of our typical rain on and rain off days but they both kept working. His helper cleaned as they continued cutting afternoon long. Logs and debris were moved from the back yard to the front yard. Andy and Team left my front and back yards raked clean and all debris cleaned up as part of his very reasonable price. We were very pleased and will be calling him again soon to take care of a rather old palm tree in the front yard. We will be replacing both of these trees with smaller accent trees to kept us shady and cool. Call Affordable Tree next time you have the need for his services. We are happy customers!

Andy came out to give me an estimate to have a big branch removed over our roof, as well as trimming other branches not as large. The estimate was very reasonable and work was scheduled within 2 weeks. It only took one hour to do the job. I was concerned about the big branch possibly causing damage when coming down because it is behind townhouses, but he did an awesome job with the pulley system. After doing work at a neighbors house, they saw me out near my mess of trees and handed me a card while saying they could give me a good deal. I called to have a tree in the front removed and another trimmed. When they came to give the estimate I was educated in permit requirements, diseases, corrected on species and opened to the knowledge of tree growth. When done I had two different trees removed and with the stump removal you cant even tell they were there. Best part they were booked up for weeks due to hurricane season, but when someone cancelled they called and asked if I would like that spot (just a few days out from the estimate). My husband and I had Andy and his guys out to cut down the large Fish Tail palms in back yard and leave the shorter ones to grow up (the tall ones were TALL). Also had them trim our Fox Tail palms in the front yard. They were here early on a Monday morning and were done by 12:30 and cleaned EVERYTHING up! No stragglers of branches or anything left. For me, that was more than appreciated. You dont normally get contractors who REALLY clean up after themselves. Cutting the large ones on the Fish Tails was tricky as they had to avoid the power lines that were directly next to them. Great job not hitting the lines! Affordable Tree Service came out to my home and took out a Yucca Tree that was leaning on my pool cage with branches hanging over the pool. Also cleaned up branches of another tree that had power and cable wires running through them . They were very thorough and careful in taking the tree and branches down. In fact Andy has done such a great job at my office that I had him do work at my house as well. I would highly recommend!

I had two large oak trees hanging over my roof that needed to be trimmed back. We just moved here so we didn’t know who to call so we went with a well known company. This companys quote was very high and we thought is was possible to get a better price without losing quality work. We decided to check the reviews of some smaller companies. We stumbled across Affordable Tree Service and figured Id give them a call. The customer service was outstanding, as well as the price. Their price was a fourth of the other company. They not only did a fantastic job but they arrived on time and cleaned up their mess and some of the debris I had in that area. I leave reviews about bad service all the time but I think it is extremely important to do the same when I come across great service too!

Really great experience with this company. I called them, the owner picked up the phone right away and let me know he will stop by my house to give me an estimate. I received a very fair price for the amount of work and overgrown trees I had. Also, the job was done within two days, which was quicker than I expected. Overall, I would highly recommend this company.

Andy was professional, friendly and punctual. Anyone that has hired contractors or try to hire have probably realized that many of them are very poor communicators almost seem to not even want business. Andy stayed on top of communicating and showed he valued my business. Did a nice job removing my trees, grind down the stumps and even raked up my yard. I called Affordable Tree Service immediately after I canceled another company because they kept pushing the job out for weeks. I needed 6 oaks trimmed and cleaned up after years of neglect. I told Andrew i was hoping to see the job done before Christmas. He showed up first thing in the morning and provided a fair quote on the spot. He then started the job the next day. I work for Decks & Docks Lumber Company and went with this company to do our palm trees for our business in Clearwater. They were very overgrown and overdue for a serious rehab. Everything was done over the weekend when our business was closed. We came back to our business on Monday and had a cleaner parking lot than before they started doing the trees. They cut everything and hauled it away promptly after finishing. They did it for a very good price, too! Definitely would recommend this company to other businesses for quick, professional, quality service.
