Nice service and a great way to avoid the busy traffic to Clearwater Beach. However, if you wanna hang out worry-free at the beach, not have to watch the time to catch the return ferry, then try to get to the beach early by car, easier for get around to eat and drive around the beautiful beach area.
Best kept secret in Clearwater. Easy parking. Inexpensive. Beautiful ride. Super awesome staff. I just wish they ran a tad later. Id love to see the sunset before I have to go back. But in no way a deal breaker.

Reserved a trip for my moms birthday last weekend from downtown Dunedin to Clearwater and back. The later trip back was cancelled due to weather (which was completely understandable) and communication via call and text was very thorough. The crew in the a.m. on the way out to Clw was amazing and sooo patient. We waited several minutes for these 2 ladies and for whatever reason she couldnt just get on board, we all may never know. I was irritated by her LOL the crew however, was very kind and waited. I would have left them. BE ON BOARD 5 min prior, its so rude to keep the crew and others waiting. My mom does have bad knees and needed them to put down the ramp, the one guy boarding us seemed a lil hesitant, but he did go get the ramp which since she didnt have to lift her leg as high, she was able to shuffle up the ramp no problem. He could have been a lil less doubtful about it, but at least he did it! And the rest of the way the trip was a breeze and so much fun. I also had a question about the rescheduling I did and was responded to in less than 24 hrs via email. I would HIGHLY recommend clearwater ferry and will be using them again!!!

These people dont return phone calls or text messages in a timely manner even though their voicemail says theyll return calls within 24 hours!Ive already paid and either need to reroute or cancel.
The ferry is a very convenient way to travel the boat staff are friendly and nice and very helpful with information if you need it. Its a great view of the Bay. It takes you to a variety of stops. You need to check the ferry map for instructions and information. The times that I went werent very crowded. So there was no line at all. There are two different types of fairies Ive seen a large one, and a smaller one. Check my pictures for a video and views.
Be extremely cautious of your interpretation of their schedule. We booked a reservation for 4 people online, and paid for the 4 tickets, for both the departure and the return trips in advance online with our credit card. The cost was somewhere around $50. We showed up at the Dunedin location exactly at the scheduled departure time ...and we could see the ferry about 1/4 mile away - it had already sailed. The sign reads we reserve the right to leave early. Im not surprised theres so many poor reviews about their scheduling, youd expect that with paid reservations, they would at least do a head-count and check names of reservations before departing early.Were longtime residents whove used the ferry before and never had this type of issue - I can only imagine what our tourists must go through. Im not sure whats happened to the business, but I hope they can work out their problems; our City fought very hard to keep them here and keep them busy. They used to be awesome. My advice to others would be to avoid pre-paying for your tickets via a credit card online, otherwise youll have no remedy should they decide to leave early.
I ordered on-line, showed at 7:30 pm, no one showed up and waited 1 hour, then took another Uber over. I won’t use this until it’s properly working correctly and or new management. It was so good in the past
They want you on time and early. But they run late, poor signage, poor service. Will not use again. Will tell people its better to wait in traffic then in the hot sun for a late boat and no communication of when it will arrive.
If you value your time and money while on vacation then I would suggest avoiding this company while Stephanie works there. We arrived a few minutes before one of the departure times and they were already leaving early. We ask approx how long before they return and they stated they would be back in 30 minutes. Over an hour later they return and instead of us boarding the boat, we are instantly yelled at by Stephanie and told they aren’t taking us. When asking why she continued yelling and told us to find another way. We asked if they had any way for us to get back and she yelled again and told us to take an Uber or ferry. After trying to figure out what was happening, she continued swearing and yelling. We had a group of 5 who prepaid for this. We not only wasted over two hours of our night and vacation but also had to spend over $50 on an Uber back to our vehicle. Your better off taking yourself into the beach and paying to park because dealing with this company will cause you to take a great day and have it ruined by their service. Should be zero. Went to get a new engine. Told everyone that it would be be 45 minutes. Apparently it didnt, but instead of waiting for people after telling them all 45 minutes they came early and left half the passengers. When they arrived an hour later they refused to take the passengers and left us in clearwater. And instead took a empty ferry out of the marina. Insane. When confronted she yelled at everyone and drove away
Wanting to experience a slow motion journey on the waters off the Cleatwater Harbor and Marina, wet took the Clearwater Ferry for a roundtrip voyage that lasted about an hour.The cost is $4 per adult, so roundtrip (if you pay in advance, you get cards/tickets) is $8 per adult. If youre a senior cirizen, youre only charged $3 each way.It was a very pleasurable experience and a few dolphin sightings occurred as we neared Clearwater Beach.

Incredibly disappointed with our experience with Clearwater Ferry on 03/12/2021. When we arrived to the dock to take a return to the parking lot, the ferry was leaving and informed us they would return in a 1/2 hour. We patiently waited the 1/2 hour (no problem) to then rudely be informed that there was a issue with the boat and no more rides would be available. Stephanie loudly shouted “you have no idea what kind of day I have had!” We inquired how to return to the lot without the ferry (given we had already paid) and she again shouted “I don’t know, Uber or trolley.” We walked away to seek a different option. She then passed us and we inquired the address to return, and again were loudly shouted at “I have seen 50 people today. How am I supposed to know where you came from?” As she walked away she shouted the “F” word. Her attitude was incredibly poor and disrespectful. We are understanding and do not mind that the boat has issues, things do happen, but the attitude from their employee has made us decide we will not utilize their service in the future.
We were scheduled to take the last ferry of the night this evening, but arrived a few minutes before the 6:45 ferry in hopes of catching it back, and they were already pulling away and told us they’d be back in 30 minutes. Well an hour later they finally pull back up, and immediately Stephanie tells us rather rudely, that they have to park the boat for the night and they wouldn’t be taking us back, which is understandable because if there were safety reasons for not being able to run then we totally understand. But no solution was given to us, other than they weren’t taking us back. When we asked what we should do now Stephanie rudely stated that we could take an Uber or the jolly trolly back. To make matters worse she chose to take her bad day out on us customers who had nothing to do with any situation she had come across today. When my husband asked her for an address to put in for our Uber we now had to get, she yelled at him that she had helped 50 customers today how was she supposed to know what dock we got picked up at. As she walked away from our group she chose to keep making snide comments, even choosing to swear at us. I for one would never use this taxi company again if this is how their employee chose to speak to their customers. If you’re going to work in customer service you have to know how to put your problems aside and not take them out on their customers, and it is very obvious Stephanie does not know how to do customer service correctly.
Great way to go to clearwater beach. The parking lots were near empty, so no need to worry about who may throw open a door on a rental car and scratch your paint.The trip across the inter-coastal is short but very nice. Great views.The Captain and crew were very nice.Will definitely be using the Clearwater Ferry again soon.
Planned to visit Clearwater Beach. Found that there is a ferry from downtown and free parking at downtown. Adult one way $4 child $2 . Family of 4 can get you $20 for round trip. You can avoid parking fees at beach and have ferry experience. Staff was very nice and they remembered and waited for us on return. Nice people.

Park up for free by the marina then hop on the ferry.Great service. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use this service instead of driving to Clearwater beach. So much easier than driving and sitting in traffic then there’s trying to park, which is always an issue.So it’s a win, win situation.
The worst customer service experience Ive ever had. Horrible. After the boat pulled up and was tied down, a the guy opened the gate to the dock, I proceeded to walk forward, he then aggressively grabbed me by the my arm and jerked me back. Followed by you cant walk there yet, in an extremely rude way. He said that I was trying to bum rush the couple who were getting off the boat who were 15ft in front me. I had no idea I couldnt walk there yet. He flat out lied to try and cover what he did. I literally WALKED two steps!!! Really, just a hey, you cant walk there yet, would of been fine but no, he put his hands on me and was a complete jerk. When I said dont put your hands on me, he laughed and asked if I had a problem. I said yes, is that how you treat all of your customers? He didnt respond. His name is Jim. I was just trying to enjoy my last bit of time off and he completely ruined it.
We LOVE the Clearwater ferry! Its easy to schedule online and they are also very accessible and easy to contact for schedule and pick up location changes. So easy to use and for such a great price!

Amazing way to get out to Clearwater Beach with less stress and more enjoyment. There is plenty of public parking near the ferry stop in downtown Clearwater. It is a short walk to the beach once you get to Clearwater Beach, but there are many restaurants to get a bite along the way (if you are wondering about that). The beach has a lovely playground near the snack shack and bathrooms, on the beach you can rent a chair to sit and take in the sun. Usually I pack sunscreen and some water, and know that the rest I can get at the beach.On the back end when you get back to your car there are many cute restaurants in downtown Clearwater to try.

My husband and I took the fairy from home, in Dunedin to Clearwater Beach for the evening and loved it! Traffic was all kinds of backed up at the time too, so it was a beautiful sunset on the water and pretty satisfying to glide right under all that ;) The Captain and crew were kind and friendly as well! Well be back on the regular!
New Years Eve 2019! We didnt want to deal with the upcharged parking prices, or driving around looking for a parking space, or the terrible beach traffic, or the traffic greying of the beach after the fireworks so we tried the ferry for the first time but it definitely will not be the last! Quick. Relaxing. No stress. Awesome!
It would be nice if you posted departure times at all ferry docks. Your map implies that the blue line stops at the aquarium, but it does not. Your onine reservation system directed me to buy the return ticket, but it was apparently to the wrong location, I appreciated the call you made to confirm that; but it was too late. Your on-board staff was very accommodating to get us back on an earlier return.Your service from Dunedin is much better then having to put up with the traffic and paid parking! Thank You!

We love the Clearwater Ferry. Its SOOOOO much easier to use the free parking lot near Coachman Park and the Clearwater Marina, then take the ferry over to Clearwater Beach than having to deal with all of the horrendous weekend traffic over the bridge and the roundabouts. We prefer to go to North Beach, so the ferry drops us off by the library and its a straight shot over to the beach. We live in Dunedin, so it would be great if the ferry from the Dunedin Marina would stop at the Clearwater Beach library, not just the Clearwater Beach marina...hint, hint.
Great deal to avoid the traffic on the bridge and includes free parking. A nice stress free way to get over to the beach and friendly staff.
I absolutely love taking the ferry! The men and employees on the boats are always so helpful, kind, generous, and informative. It is always a smooth ride with plenty of beautiful things to look at around you as you cross over into Clearwater. It is incredibly convenient the free parking and the cheap tickets I mean theres just no other way to see Clearwater Beach and Pier 60 if you live on this side of the bridge.

The Clearwater ferry is an amazing date idea. I went to the sugar sand festival with my wife, and we took the Clearwater ferry across. They made sure everyone always had a ride home. So if its tough to find parking I would take the Clearwater ferry. We loved it, if your a Pokemon go fan I caught some pretty cool things out on the water as well.

When we first got on the boat everything was fine. Quick entry and a nice ride to a boat dock where we got off to have lunch. We came back to the area where we were dropped off and noticed the boat coming back so we walked to where it docked and talked to the lady on the boat where ahe explained she could board any one till 3:20pm and we could walk a round or wait by the waiting area for boarding at 3:20 (boat leaves at 3:30) it was 2:59pm. No problem there we understood the rules. So we walked back down to the boat and it was 3:21. When we approached the boat we were then meet by the man on the boat (driver) who said very very rudely that we were told to wait up by the waiting area until the lady on the boat came up to get us. We were never told that and once we make it back up to the waiting area the lady then walks to the waiting area and tells us she never would of made us walk back. Worst customer service ever. Its hot outside as it is and we just didnt need the rudeness and back and forth. Not a very good experience unfortunately. The lady seemed apologetic but whoever that man is doesnt need to be working with people period!
Love having access to the Clearwater Ferry. It’s quick, easy and a better option than driving to Downtown Clearwater, Island Estates and Dunedin. Wish they had the service every day.
Fun alternative mode of transportation to get between Clearwater and Dunedin. Definitely recommended if you prefer the open water over bumper to bumper traffic. Tickets were easily purchased online and departures/arrivals were punctual.
Unfortunately the ferry was late, by about 15 minutes which meant we had been hanging around for 30 mins in total waiting for it - not knowing if it was delayed or cancelled. In the end, a very unhelpful lady in an unrelated kiosk told me to read the board where there was a number I called to get more info. It was not the correct number but related to the business and the man ensured me he would see what the hold up was. Within minutes of hanging up, our ferry arrived. The two crew members couldnt have been kinder, better or more professional (the deckhand/mate especially). It was a great experience just a bit harrowing and the website/apps are not easy for all to navigate - especially those who dont have smart phones...of which there are MANY - especially older people, and/or tourists.
LOVE this ferry service! As long-time locals, we stopped going to the beach because of the traffic and parking hassles. This makes getting to and from the Beach actually fun!

This ferry is the best service that has been added to Dunedin. We used to use the trolley however the service is always late and so unpredictable.The ferry is the best transportation to the beach.
Awesome experience
The staff are nice enough, but the owner uses the ferry as his own personal water taxi. This added a good 40 minutes to our trip while I was trying to get my two kids home for lunch.I would avoid this place until he figures out how to get his ego in check.
Plenty of free parking available. Book online and just show up 15 mins prior to departure. Staff is friendly making the short ride to Clearwater beach enjoyable. Finding parking once down on the beach can be a chore. So hop on board and leave the diving to the captain. Price for me is reasonable knowing I dont have to circle the lots on the beach and wait for someone to leave.

Great way to get from Clearwater and Dunedin to Clearwater Beach. Super affordable, on time, friendly Captains and Crew who know the area. Boats are modern. There is a bit of an incline at one location so be careful. A great affordable boat ride without dealing with parking and beach traffic.

I was very disapointed, we both tickets online a week ago and the ferry didnt show up at all. I called yhem and thwy said I can use my tickets for the next ride after an hours, so me and ny aon hanged out on the port for another hour, the ferry didnt show up again and when I called them it was a voice mail that said they dont work anymore for the day! And they still charged my card!!!
Dont fight the traffic to get to Clearwater beach. Hop the water ferry and ENJOY the scenery. Only $3 each way. You will not be disappointed. You might even see a dolphins on your crossing.

With time on my hands I took the ferry from the marina near Coachman park to North beach and strolled back to Clearwater beach and from there took the ferry back to the marina.The pubs, restaurants and shops were all still open at 8:30pm on a Tuesday night and the vibe was good.I felt $6 for the round trip was reasonable and the captain is a friendly fellow. In holiday season when parking is limited this would be the best way to the beach.

Totally enjoyed my ride in my wheelchair which had a ramp and very nice employees with a great boat driver and conveniently located life preservers it was a very enjoyable trip I took a round trip at a discount rate for over 55 and Ill do it again and again and Ive been doing it for quite some time but now Im going to do it more often because I can and its fun so come on take a ride!!!

Fun trips, parking is great just below the library. Looked up at the bridge to the beach, was crazybacked up. Cost a few bucks but parking at the beach is not cheap either
These guys are awesome. We went on a trip to clearwater beach for a teambuilding day at work, and so we walked over to the dock and took the ferry.The guys on the boat were very friendly and even helped us spot some dolphins on our initial trip to Clearwater Beach AND on the way back to Downtown Clearwater. It was a really good vibe and a terrific atmosphere. I will definitely be riding on this ferry again when I get a chance.
