We recently moved to the immediate area and wanted to try out Harborside for our cat and dog. I am so glad we did, because I felt so heard and respected for my veterinary decisions. All of my concerns were addressed by a team of knowledgeable and kind team members. They did really great with both of my animals even though my cat is very cantankerous.

I am so happy to say I have found my dogs new Vet in the area! We recently just relocated to the west Side of Florida & were in need of quick assistance due to my dog being hurt. I called and the welcoming voice from reception was able to schedule us within 20 mins. When I arrived they took such good care of my dog and made me feel comfortable knowing he was in good hands. My dog is very anxious so it worried me how he would react in the vet with a new environment. He did great because of their sweet care! They kept me informed, the vet is so nice along with the vet tech and the rest of the staff! So glad to know if something happens to him again I have a lovely vet down the street!

One of the best vet offices weve ever been to. Everything from kindness to professionalism can be found here. We had a surgery scheduled for our fur baby, and after blood analysis/x-rays, found out she didnt need the surgery. They saved us so much stress and money! Definitely go to this vet if youve had bad past experiences, theyll change your mind!

WONDERFUL - Third Try at a new Vet was The Charm. I had my savings depleted, begged for quotes from other vets, with no response. Harborside went through the headache trying to get the xrays and scans from my last vet as well. My poor cat has been suffering immensely and these wonderful people moved a schedule around to get him into surgery within a week. I am thankful to have found them!!!

I really like this vets office. They have two doctors on staff, Dr. Walk and Dr. Garcia, both equally caring, professional and helpful. Always ready to work with us and our fur babies. We almost lost our boy Coco and they truly helped us and listened to our concerns. He is now a very healthy and happy boy. I’m truly happy with their service and their staff, everyone is very pleasant to talk to and knowledgeable, we definitely look forward to being long term patients here.

I am new to the area (from Galveston TX) and was so thrilled to find this vet. The initial visit for a new customer was waived. The office was organized and they were very professional. Scout was in love with Dr Garcia. I am happy to report I found myself in vet. I was in and out of the visit within 35 min. I also recommended this Vet to my friends here and they think it is wonderfully helpful too.

No words could ever truly express how thankful and blessed I feel to have found Harborside Animal Hospital!!! I will admit that I am a paranoid and over the top pet mom which has made it hard to find a vet in the past that took my concerns seriously and gave my babies the attention I felt they deserved. Close to a year ago, I began researching new clinics all over the Tampa/St. Pete area and decided on Harborside thanks to an amazing referral by a coworker. I knew Harborside was different from the moment I called and further solidified this once we arrived. The entire staff is friendly, super organized, prompt, and extremely knowledgeable across all fronts (might I add that I was amazed by how gifted not only the doctors but technicians were too). From day one they answered all of my crazy pet mom questions with sincerity and both my pets loved everyone there. I never felt rushed and was finally given direct answers and instructions on a few smaller items that I had been struggling to figure out for years (i.e. how often my dog needed his anal glands expressed). I knew from the first visit that I had finally found the right vet for us and continued to bring my babies in for preventative care like nail trims and vaccines from there.A few weeks ago, my gratitude for Harborside became more real than I would have ever imagined at the start of my journey to find a new vet. When my kitten (now 11 months old) threw up bile multiple times in one day, I called Harborside for advice around 5:45pm. As always, the front desk staff was exceptional and were on top of my questions even though they were likely getting ready to close and head home to their own families at that time. They recommended that I bring my cat to an after hours clinic when I mentioned he may have gotten into something on the porch. The after hours clinic took x-rays and were concerned that his stomach was completely full despite throwing up and not eating all day. They gave fluids and recommended that I follow up with my primary the next day. The next morning I called Harborside before 8am and they fit me in immediately. They worked all day Friday AND Saturday morning consulting with a radiologist regarding the x-rays of his intestines which werent moving as they normally should have been. On Saturday, Dr. Garcia called me to advise that they were highly suspicious of a blockage and recommended immediate exploratory surgery. This alone was such a scary thing to hear yet I felt relief at the same time knowing he was in the best hands possible. Dr. Garcia and staff slaved away for hours after they closed to remove an ENTIRE SHOELACE from my cats stomach. I had no idea he had swallowed anything in the days prior and if it werent for the extremely fast, and point blank immaculate care provided, Im honestly not sure how long it would have taken me to realize that something serious was wrong.After Dr. Garcia called to let me know that the surgery was a success, I cried the entire way to pick him up realizing that it was fate that led me to them only months prior. Once I arrived, they provided me with pages of detailed discharge instructions that an OCD owner like me could have only dreamed of before. Its no surprise that they continued to provide amazing customer service afterwards by following up with me for weeks to make sure my little guy was doing great and to answer all of my never-ending questions LOL.I want to thank every single employee there for everything they have done both for my babies and for my overall sanity (haha)...from the little things like responding to my annoying emails within minutes...to the big things like saving my cats life! - THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I hope this review helps someone else out there who loves their pets a little too much like me and is looking for the highest quality medical care available. Dr. Walk was very patient and helpful on our first puppy visit. She answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns on how to care for our new puppy. We are excited for our new puppy adventure and are happy to have some professional guidance along the way.

Terrible experience overall. Front of the house techs were not very knowledgeable at all and always seemed to have to “talk to their manager”. Services were constantly being up sold that weren’t necessary in order to increase the amount of the bill. Lured in by reasonably priced coupons on the website whose costs were never intended to being the price you actually paid for the service. Classic bait and switch.The experience left me feeling like I was shopping for a used car and constantly being sold to instead of at a professional veterinary clinic.

I was referred to Harborside Animal Hospital by Hurt Animal Surgery Center, dog with broken leg, what a great place, I was worried at first because I live quite a ways away, but I’m so glad I did, the staff was super friendly and professional, the place was very nice and a pet friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back!

I have went to a few vets in St Petersburg qnd did not like the lack of compassion and empathy the workers had. So I continued my search, until I seen a valpak coupon for a free visit. I figured why not, I need to find a new vet and this way I can feel them out before they receive my money. From the moment we got there until the moment we left we were treated so nicely by all the staff. They took care of our Cavie and our cat with compassion and a smile on their face. Im so glad I gave this place a chance. They even sent us a card welcoming us to their practice that was signed by all the staff. It is a shame, that now Harborside animal hospital is all about money....I have spent over 10,000 dollars at this office. Dr.Walk is great with emergence visits. Now I have been taking my dogs to another local vet, which is half price ! My last visit at Harborside Animal Hopital was 350 $ six months ago. They will not allow me to order a year of Heartgard, because my dog has to come in for his year visit in six months.The Heart is on sale for a year supplie. This way they will have me spend more money.!!! Harborside was great about three years ago, when Dr.Walk husband worked there. Now its all about how much they can get you to spend....They do not help financially at all, so do they real care about your animal ????

This Vets office is very good! Nice, polite staff. I used to come here a couple yrs ago but left cuz it was a little far for us. After going somewhere else we came back here! I remembered how nice they were. I didn’t want my dogs to just be a number and then carted out. Great and thorough Drs. Nothing but good things to say! I am beyond blown away with the professionalism and respect from this place. I have a dog who is not too friendly when she has to leave her territory and the staff did everything to make us feel welcome and do what was needed for treatment on our minor emergency. The veterinarian took her time to come out and talk to me even though we were after hours and the staff was so kind. In the past I have felt embarrassed by other clinics with the way my dog acts but they were really understanding. We will definitely be switching to harborside as primary for all our fur babies

Dr Walk and her staff are very caring and loving. I have been going to Harborside Animal Hospital with my boy Sanford, since he was a puppy, he will be 11 this year. what do I like best about them, that is so hard to say because there is so many, I will tell you quality of care is so caring and professional, they keep you up to date on what is going on. I have their health insurance through them, it saves me a lot of money and provides me the ultimate of care at a low price.

Always exceptional!!! When we first moved here I got a coupon in the mail for a first time pet exam special, made an appointment right away and was very impressed with everything! Shortly after, our cat needed surgery and I did everything through Harborside. From the moment you check in they explain what will happen leaving you with no doubt about them to when you pick your pet up you know it was in the best of hands. Will go there for any future exams and/or (hopefully not needed again but if so) the most trustworthy surgery.

This vet is always available for our pet care needs. Very professional and friendly staff. Dr. Walk really cares about our pet. Definitely recommend.

I am extremely disappointed and angry about the quality of care and service from this vet. The first visit we had an appointment for our 3 dogs, 2 small breed and 1 large, they informed us that one of our dogs needed a few teeth pulled and the other was to be spayed, all needed their shots. We left the 2 small breed dogs in their care for the day, during one of the surgeries we got a call informing us that 1 of the dogs needed all his teeth pulled, after the shock of hearing that news we thought it best to follow through on the surgery as it was already in progress. We picked up the dogs that afternoon and cared for them during the night, needless to say we were still in shock at how many teeth were taken. After a week we realized that they had got mites during their stay there. We are still dealing with this issue in all three dogs. The vet told us we had to book another appointment to fix the problem that they caused as they didnt have mites prior to the visit. We will never use this vet again.

I have been taking our family dog to Harborside for 6 years, they are always very kind and gentle. They get to the root of the issue and give a clear explanation for what is going on and the plan of action to correct the problem. Very happy to have them as the vet for our animals.

Excellent first experience, and we will continue using this veterinary practice in the future. I was impressed with Dr Garcia. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and cared about my pet. I have a senior (16 years old) chihuahua, who I recently acquired, and I am grateful to have a vet I feel I can trust with my new baby. Dr Garcia and the entire staff were excellent with Princess. Dr. Garcia also went to an excellent veterinary school (Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine), which is recognized nationally for excellence. I highly recommend this veterinary practice and more specifically Dr. Garcia.

Even though I have other veterinary services within 5 minutes of my home I make the 30-40 drive out to Harborside Animal because I know that Dr. Walk and her amazing staff will always give me and my dogs 150% effort in all they do. I call ahead when I go to pick up my pups trifexis (I take her with me) and the staff are always happy to help me work with her vet anxiety, and they are wonderful with taking into account each of our pack members needs and providing appropriate treatment accordingly. We are a very selective family who are incredibly picky about who handles our dogs and provides their medical care, and are very fortunate and grateful to have found these guys.

We always have a great experience at Harborside. The staff is friendly and caring. The vet always takes her time to explain everything in detail as well as answer questions. You can tell everyone here enjoys their job and truly loves animals. We have never had to wait long and during Covid they have always allowed me to accompany my pet inside. I highly recommend this office !

Harborside Animal Hospital is quick to get you in, kind in walking you through what they are doing, and well priced. I wasnt sure about a Vet situated in a strip center, but once you are inside it is very nice and professional, and just like a stand alone Vets office. Silly for me to have judged. Love the attitudes of the staff here! Took my pup in for his first vet visit and the place was clean, organized and the staff was phenomenal! Everyone took the time to answer all the questions I had and made my pup feel comfortable and at ease! Overall a great veterinary office. Dr. Walk is truly amazing. She is there to help in every way possible. Explains everything, does not push procedures. Tells you what needs to be done and what should be done but also is honest and tells you if it can wait or it shouldnt. They even follow up the next day to check up on the dogs and to ask of we have any concerns or questions.

This place is absolutely amazing they completely and 100% saved my dogs life on Friday. She went in not feeling well and it turned out to be something far more serious than we thought. She had to have emergency surgery. This vet is absolutely amazing I have a 90 lb Pitbull whos the biggest baby ever and they are so gentle and so kind and so sweet to her thank you to the entire staff at harborside for taking care of my baby girl you guys are all absolutely amazing thank you from the bottom of my heart.

After becoming less enthralled with my prior vets service level and cost, I found Harborside- In the past six months they have done both a teeth cleaning and recently a wellness exam/vaccinations. There patience with my dog (she hates the vet and can be a handful- 70lbs of teeth and limbs) is greatly appreciated and they were thorough in explaining her physical exam and test results. Their prices are far more reasonable than my prior vet as well.

They do their very best to work with the animal and Fur Family.We had used another animal clinic for over 15 years for our dogs in the pasted. The clinic was sold and the new veterinarian was not as caring as the veterinarian who had owned the clinic in the past. I asked a few friends who they use for a veterinarian for their dogs and two or three said, Harborview Animal Hospital as I decided to try them out. Im so happy we did. We have been with Harborside for 5 years now and they have been great! They are very professional and responsive, willing to answer concerns and questions over the phone and get you in for an appointment quickly, have great hours into the evenings, and have a friendly staff. We always have questions and they take the time to answer them without making us feel uncomfortable or rushed. They also have a great location, clean office environment, and package deals to save the pet parents a little money. I feel like the staff truly cares for the clients and pets. We drive over 30 minutes to go here even though there are many vets closer to our house. We would not drive that far if we didn’t feel like it was worth it. Overall we are very satisfied with the care we receive at Harborside and would recommend checking them out!

Not a good experience...Our first visit - vet didn’t introduce herself to me or dog, and her tech (wearing a mask) approached my dog to lift her into the exam table without even asking me (she has arthritis) or greeting the dog. That’s dog 101 in my book. Never approach a dog (mine isn’t a fan of men) without asking owner or greeting the dog to see temperament. Vet tech was nice and tried really hard but we are never going back there. If you don’t care enough to even introduce yourself to owner or pet, why bother being a veterinarian? I sent them an email explaining my issues but they answered with some off the wall thing and never even addressed my concerns.

Great Local, Convenient Veterinarian The Staff is very helpful and friendly. I can usually get an appointment easily with a phone call in the early am. Dr Walk and Garcia are a great team. They helped to save my dogs life when he had a blockage in his urinary tract. Im appreciative and would highly recommend Harborside Animal Hospital.

I had to schedule an appointment here because the Humane Society was fully booked through June. I had been going with them since I adopted my dog from them back in 2017. Harborside was great with my dog and gave him his space (he gets aggressive about his ears). In the future, its nice to know I have a backup plan.They even sent a Thank You card :).

We always get excellent care and the staff and vets treat our furry family with empathy and genuine care. Weve had routine care, surgical care and end of life care with both Dr Walk and Dr Garcia. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

What an amazing staff and facility! I called to get my dog in for an emergency appointment as a first time patient and I needed to have her seen immediately. The receptionist, Vicky, was extremely friendly and understanding. She made an appointment for us within an hour of calling and within one hour of closing. From the very beginning, everyone was exceptionally friendly and the office was very clean! I asked Vicky if she could get me into a room so I could fill out the paperwork without trying to manage my dog in the lobby and without hesitation, she cleaned up a room for me within minutes. Dr. Garcia is a delight. She is truly fantastic, very educated, understanding, and intelligent. She spent quality time with my dog, thoroughly examining her and speaking with me about our options. My grandparents recommended Dr. Garcia because she treats their dog as a patient as well and she performed a successful growth removal surgery on their dog. Kristi also did an extraordinary job handling my dog and communicating with me. She was very personable and well informed. Cameron checked on me to keep me updated while we were waiting for results and he was very nice! Their prices are very fair and I actually realized how much I’ve been overpaying at other veterinarian offices throughout the years. I’ve finally found a veterinarian office where I feel 100% comfortable having my dog treated there. Very grateful to their staff!!

Just moved in the area from Orlando. I brought my puppy in when she had an allergic reaction to eating a hornet. they kept her for her four hours and gave her the correct medication to help her get better fast! This is my new vet office! 10/10 would recommend.

Veterinarian Walk (I believe also the owner?) was the Dr who saw my puppy rusty. I will tell you she was more than professional and she saved my dogs life yesterday (literally). I rushed him in within an hour and he was given oxygen for a few hours and few shots etc and walked out the same day. I have 2 dogs and their primary Dr is in Los Angeles and I wish it were here. Highly recommend and thank you Harborside for saving our dogs life ;) TEN stars!!!!!

I am insanely picky when it comes to where I take my fur baby. Harborside animal hospital was so friendly, timely, and my pup came out wagging her tail! I got a same day appointment and filling out the first time patient paper work was a breeze because it was all electronic! Due to Covid-19 I was not able to go into the clinic which was not ideal but the staff made it as seamless as possible. It was our first time and I had found a lump on my girl so stressed is an understatement but the staff was amazing and reassured me every step of the visit. While I waited in my car I was called probably 3-4 times with updates on how she was doing and what services/shots were needed. It was also very surprising to not have to break the bank for this visit, the pricing was very reasonable. To top it all off, they sent us a personalized welcome card that the techs and vets signed! It was really sweet. My old girl and any of my future fur babies will be using Harborside for veterinary services!!

We were very pleased with our first visit there. The waiting area and the exam room were both meticulously clean, and the Dr. and vet techs were all very knowledgeable and friendly and explained everything in detail. They answered all the questions we had and were wonderful in treating our Cavalier Spaniel. We will definitely continue to use them as our snowbirds veterinarian when we are in Florida and would highly recommend their services to others.

I had a very bad experience at a groomer that trimmed my cat’s nails way too short. Her paws were bloody and she was pretty traumatized. This hospital is right across the street from me and so when the time came to get my cat’s nails trimmed again I gave them a call. I was thrilled to hear they would do just a nail trim as I already have an established vet, but they are 30 minutes from my home.I was beyond impressed! The reception area is beautiful and the staff were extremely kind and inviting. They immediately put a towel that had calming pheromones on it over my cat’s carrier so she wouldn’t get upset seeing other animals. A very sweet vet tech listened to me as I explained my cat’s bad experience and my concern her paws might be infected. She took her time carefully trimming my cat’s nails. The other techs in the reception area were very professional and you could tell they loved working there. Having happy employees says a lot about a business!My cat was very calm when we got home and wasn’t acting overwhelmed or traumatized at all! She has always run to hide and pout after a nail trim, but she didn’t this time.I was so pleased with the experience that I will now have all three of my cats switch their vet care to Harborside.

5/6/2021- Update : I visited the vets office at Harborside animal hospital today to get Franklins leg checked out. Dr. Jacks took care of Franklin today. And I was very pleased as I always am. The staff there is just the best. I just want to thank you again for taking care of my Franklin.I just want to say thank you to Harborside Animal Hospital for getting my dog Franklin in with one day notice. He had to have surgery again for broken blood vessel in his ear. This is the second time they taking care of us, and they did a great job. Very professional and very informative. I would definitely return for any other problems with my dog. Their staff is very qualified and friendly. Franklin Cooper says thank you very much. See you soon...12/21/20. UPDATE ::: over the week then Franklin seem to hurt himself. So first thing Monday morning I called Harborside Animal Hospital and they have me bring him right in. They examined Franklin and it told me they probably just like hurting his knee from wrestling with our other dog. But I appreciate all they do for me and my dog Franklin. Hes home and hes feeling much better. Thank you so much for taking good care of my Franklin. Thank you to all the staff. Ive been coming here for a couple years now and I wouldnt take my dog anywhere else. They always do a great job and make you feel very comfortable. Sincerely Anne Scott

Fast friendly urgent pet care for a reasonable price. Staff was helpful and Vet explained the possibilities and medication well and followed up by phone to prevent unnecessary extra visit charges. Will be my new go-to veterinarian for all my pets!

One of the most friendly, quick, and thorough experiences Ive ever had with a vet. They went *well* out of their way to make my pets feel comfortable. They explained in detail everything that would be done and all the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend.

I went there today for a first time visit with my cat and I can say the visit was very pleasant, my cat was treated very well and all of my questions were answered the wait time wasn’t bad either can definitely see myself going back with the rest of my other pets. I’m new to the area and I was in need of a new vet that can especially accommodate my dog, and after speaking to one of the vet techs she assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem at all.

Ive been bringing my cat here since 2014. Even though I now live much further away, I still bring him to Dr. Walk. He gets great care there and the staff loves him, so I feel very comfortable that hes in great hands while hes there!

Fantastic. Everyone is particularly kind and courteous. They go out of their way to order my dogs medication and let me know when its in. Both Drs have been wonderful to speak with and quite clearly care about what they are doing.

I took my cat here today after he was having troubles breathing. I brought in a coupon for a first time free examination. I ended up having to put my baby down as his lungs were filled with fluid. They were so patient and knowledgeable. They told me everything I needed to know and offered different options to fit my emotional and financial needs. They even stayed there after closing time to let me share my last moments with him. I’m very satisfied with my experience here and grateful this is a place that is trustworthy.

-1 single employee that wanted to report me for animal cruelty for telling her I wanted my cat to get a second opinion 😾 she says it was a misunderstanding I know it was not she was very rude and in front of my daughter said this and said that our cat will die if I dont pay or Surrender hum (very unprofessional) very easily she could have pulled me aside and not stomped out of the building to come tell me this, as we were very upset sitting on the curb, but yeah AFTER that incident I have nothing but good things to say, the vet is amazing she really cares about these animals, and did everything in her power to help our 🐈 Simba.100% recommend this place the vet as well as the staff are amazing they really loved my cat like their own and he was very well taken care of I would highly this place to all, thanks for everything Harborside.

I highly recommend this facility.The staff are so kind and helpful. Dr. Walk is smart, kind and patient. She took such amazing care of our Foster Puppy who was very very sick. Very thankful.

Staff is very friendly & happy to help with any questions or concerns you may have! The doctor is excellent & did a great job on my dogs neutering procedure. If you’re looking for an animal hospital that you can trust will provide the best care for your fur baby, you’ve found it. This was my first visit, & definitely not my last! Thanks again :)

My wife and I found Harborside 5 years ago and they have been absolutely amazing. Dr walk & Dr Gracia are phenomenal professionals . They listen to the pet owner’s and are always attentive to the babies . Their staff is great a willingly to help anyway they can . I would recommend Harborside to everyone .if your looking for A place to call home for your pets this is the best facility.

I am so glad that this place was recommended to me. I will definitely be going back to them. My 92 year old dads cat was sick so I took him to where webe gone before but they couldnt see him for a couple hours. They recommended Harborside. The staff at Harborside were so caring and comforting. They took care of Silky and explained everything for me to understand . They even did a follow-up call the next day.
