The apple website made the appointment process so confusing. They didn’t give an option to set an appointment so I wrongly assumed you could just show up. Went in on a Sunday, nobody in line and was told I couldn’t be helped without an appointment. I’m just trying to get my AirPods fixed which aren’t charging. Said “sorry need an appointment”. Okay scheduled for Tuesday 6:40-7, my email says 6:40-7. Because Of work I got to Best Buy around 6:45ish on Tuesday, waiting in line and got to counter around 6:50. I was told since it was 7 minutes past 6:40 THEY COULDNT HELP ME. Meanwhile i told them my email says i have between 6:40-7 and they said NOTHING WE CAN DO NOW since you were late. Didn’t offer to help make another appointment or anything. I checked the emails I received from Best Buy and it says NOTHING about showing up late. Ridiculous!!! I was told I had to come back another day…… they were also not helpful to my questions at all. SO I scheduled for the next day 6:40 made it on time just to be told BUY A NEW PAIR. Frankly the 3rd time, the gentlemen were way more pleasant and explained it thoroughly. I’m not upset that I have to buy a new pair but that fact it took 3 different days to drives over, 20 mins, to get this answer. So unhelpful, waste of time. 1 star + 1 extra to the friendly gentlemen who helped me the 3rd time
HORRIBLE. I broke the screen on my Samsung Galaxy phone. When I signed up for the protection plan the guy kept pointing to the Geek Squad in the front of the store. I believed that this is where I was going to get my Galaxy phone repaired, if ever necessary. After spending 40+ minutes on hold and speaking the phone with an agent I was told I needed to drive Orlando, 2.5 hours away from my home, to the nearest Samsung repair center. Five hours round trip is entirely unacceptable! There was no option to receive a screen replacement as there was a spare part shortage. Instead, I had to pay the full price for a totally new phone. I should have only had to pay for the cracked screen. It is not my fault that they didnt have the parts to provide the service that I signed up for. I wasnt even allowed to get a refund for my protection plan to have my phone repaired somewhere else. TOTALLY unacceptable! I want to be reimbursed the difference of the whole phone replacement instead of only a screen repair because I only ever needed a screen repair. I should not be penalized for Geek Squads inability to maintain Samsung parts in their stores. Dont sell plans to fix phones if you dont have the parts to fix phones.
Went for nintendo switch repair but was turned away because that service was not available. Service advisor was fine otherwise.

I arrived at the Geek Squad without an appointment on Halloween evening and asked if they can help me with my Apple iPad that had become frozen while updating OS 14.1 and had several bugs since !I really came in to buy a USB cable and thought why not stop and see if they could help me or at least make an appointmentThere was 1 young man named NICK working alone and he completely amazed me. He honored all the scheduled appts and even offered me a chair (recognized I was elderly) while I waited. He was so welcoming, no one felt rushed, he explained their problems, was gracious and very kind and efficient!Wow! What a treat to see NICK work so effectively and with compassion.Please pass this on to the managers and of course to NICK.You are all lucky to have such a wonderfulYoung man working at Best Buy !Fondly, Regina Lathan
The guys here were super helpful with me and my mom... She was buying a new computer and needed help getting the data off of her old laptop that had crashed. They did an awesome job taking the time to answer all of our questions and making sure we understood everything.
I would not suggest this place to anyone. Had multiple bad experiences with them. First bad experience was when my mother took her desktop in because it stopped working and was making a beeping noise when she tried turning it on. They told her that the motherboard was bad and that it would be cheaper to buy a new computer then replace it. I took a look at it and realized the ram popped out(Good as new) Second time dealing with them is when my mothers computer was running slow they told her that she had a virus. They offered her an antivirus that they sell and said it was good for up to three computers. She brought my laptop with her to have them install it. They also uninstalled some programs I was using for school claiming that they were viruses. Just avoid these guys at all costs. They will try to act like they are helping you but in reality they just want to sell you stuff.
They rip people off...They said my computer which is an MSI gaming laptop and just a year old had brown sticky stuff all over the CPU and the whole computer and I paid for their services around $250.00 and they said hey we will recycle your computer however, we took it back and we took it to a real computer place and he said there isnt one drop of brown gooey stuff and had us come down and look. This awesome owner of the computer place we went to he put a new keyboard on it and boom the computer is perfect.... do not use Geek squad, I really believe they are young and have no idea how to fix anything down there accept take your money I will never use Geek Squad services. Personally I think they wanted to keep the computer and take it home for themselves when nothing was wrong with it... well nothing accept a keyboard that stopped working!! No gooey brown stuff on it at all Geek Squad!! Buyer beware and do not use them Go to a real computer place with people who actually know what they are doing.. and I believe know more about computers than they do Im sure. Today we picked up the MSI computer and running amazingly with a new keyboard Geek Squad!! Go to school and actually learn about computers

Current and long term customer with service contract. Service at Clearwater store was awful. After explaing problem with my computer and sequestering help, the tech stated he couldnt help and ddirected me to call Microsoft. He was more interested in talking with a colleague than helping a customer. I randomly selected a computer repair store 1 block up. They resolved my problem in 3 mins and refused payment. My opinion of Geek Squad is rock bottom.
I will NEVER use or recommend Geek Squad to anyone for anything. I went into the Best Buy in Clearwater, FL on Sunday 2/7 to inquire about having the screen on my laptop fixed as I had cracked it. I was greeted by a guy who asked me if I had an appointment, to which I answered no. He went over to a computer and told me the earliest I can be seen Is 1:15, it was 11:30 in the morning and there was nobody there. I asked to speak to a manager and a guy came out from the back and very rudely explained to me the process and I questioned it as I had a simple question and did not understand why I could not get an answer. He finally listened to my questions after arguing with me and when I was told that 1) We do not send items to the manufacturer to be repaired unless you have purchased it here and have the Geek Squad protection and 2) You have to go online and find the screen and bring it in to the store for them us install -WHAT A CROCK!!! I left the store and went down the street to ubreakifix and they had an estimate within an hour and I picked my computer up 2/11, with a repaired manufacturer screen.
Awful.
Bottom line: Using their appointment methiod they got me in and out lickyiday Split in one trip and fixed my computer problem with a Score of 100% and no reason to go back to tweek things. IHIGHLY recocomend them for any of your computer needs...
A 28 minute hold time to speak to a non tech geek. Way to staff appropriately, no wonder why the geeks at this location always seem annoyed Or have bad attitudes.Addition: I tried to call back and change an appointment only to be transferred twice and then hung up on. Nothing but class from these nerds!!!Avoid at all costs

Actually there process is an improvement, I went in told I needed an appt. came back at the appropriate time and was seen in minutes, they called me when it was done again, in minutes, had to re submit because they missed the main reason I came there and waiting but so far seems to be a good process

They have terrible customer service, I got a laptop repair from these people and all they try to do is take the most amount of money from you. They did a remote repair on my laptop and made my laptop even worse ! Then when I tried to tell them I wasn’t happy with the service and they made the problem even worse they had nothing to say, I will never use geek squad again ! And I do not recommend anybody else to get their repairs from this shady company !
