Found these guys on Groupon and rented 3 kayaks for me and the kids. They accepted both my groupons and every staff member i talked to was very cool, laid back, and helpful. The kayaks were great and the small islands we traveled to were very cool. I would definitely recommend renting from these guys.

We rented bikes for half day. Bikes were in good shape. Parking was convenient across the street. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They are also taking excellent precautions with COVID. Highly recommended. Next time I might even try paddle boarding! Plus, they have the best selection of ukuleles in town!

My favorite store on Clearwater beach for sure! Everything Ive ever bought here is extremely high quality and very reasonably priced. The staff greet you everytime if theyre not helping someone else already and theyre quick to help you find what you looking for. I have never had any issues with anything Ive purchased here and left happy everytime Ive been. Ive known Katie the longest out of all the current staff Ive met at this location and you can really tell that she cares and will go out of her way to help. Thank you to all the staff here for being kind and attentive and making a last minute stop for some awesome beach gear not feel like a mistake.

I rented a (Sit On Top) Kayak & had an AWESOME experience! Easy, affordable rental with super friendly LOCALS-who gave me great advice on where to go! They put in & take out for you-at the dock behind the shop-so no worries-you just hop in & paddle! I paddled to the tiny island (they suggested) & it was paradise! I had my own private island for the whole afternoon! Katy & Chris were super cool & helpful.They are not just a rental shop-they are a REAL surf & skate shop too-not a tacky chain! They have a great selection of gear, with quality brands & they are affordable! An awesome selection of HIGH quality gifts & souvenirs-including some very cool shirts, sunglasses & jewelry. Some of the gear is eco-conscious or helps animals or people in need-how AWESOME!!If you are in Clearwater Beach-you definitely need to stop by this shop-you wont be disappointed!

Favorite shop to visit every time we come. The owner is always so friendly and welcoming. It feels like visiting family! Weve purchased some cool items, love my t-shirts from there. So soft and comfy! Going back soon so well definitely pay them a visit.

The wife and I rented paddle boards to go out to one of the small Islands. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Travis, who told us the best way to get there. We also met the owner, who was super helpful and friendly. In fact, all of the staff were eager to help and wanted us to have the best time.

Was looking for an inexpensive day of biking on the beach and this was definitely the best deal! The employees were all super friendly from the beginning, and even offered some much needed cold water when we returned! Great way to spend our last day in Clearwater!Bonus: theyre located right across the street from some tacos. What more could you ask for?

Review is for rental of a beach cruiser bicycle. We rented 2 of them, one for myself and my 11-yr-old daughter. Yes, the staff was really nice, but I cannot recommend renting a bike from here and I will tell you why. I was appalled at the poor condition of the bicycles. First off, they looked a bit used up, unlike the pretty photo on their website. Many had orange chains from rust, so they brought out some oil. The brakes on most were not tight (had to really stomp down.) I was going to go with one bike that looked a bit newer & had pretty decent brakes, but the basket was loose and rattling. The alignment of the handlebars was off on the bike I finally chose, which they fixed, but then I notice there is a paper towel stuck around the rear sprocket. They pull it out and I take the bike, but later realize why it had been there. The chain is “loose” and “clicks” on every revolution. They were checking our tires and decided mine needed air. Really?!!! When I rent bikes that I have advance reserved, I expect them to be well maintained and ready to go! I expressed some dismay, but had to work hard to keep my poker face and not go off.

This store was awesome!!! It had everything you could possibly need for outdoor activities like canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking etc!! Even small details needed. They were super nice explaining everything to me and even walked me out to the dock and set me off! They accepted my group on coupon happily! Great deal

This shop is Really cool and has a ton of different things to see, buy and rent! Great selection of quality brand name items and the staff is excellent! Kids also really enjoyed looking around. I purchased sunglasses that I really liked and I broke them. Being from MN these exact sunglasses are not easy to find. I called the store and they were more that happy to help me out and ship a new pair. Something to be said about a shop that actually cares about their customers! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Staff is very friendly! They keep your personal items and valuable safely while you’re away, and they are very pleasant and welcoming of visitors. My only hiccup is that they didn’t really provide a map when making recommendations for kayaking.

Came over from Tampa to rent kayaks for the day and had a great time! The whole staff was friendly and helpful, and the young lady that helped us push out was super sweet. We very much appreciated her taking the time to show us the map to the little island and making sure we knew how to get back. The bay itself was really beautiful and the little island we were sent to was like a piece of paradise with a beach to lay out on. Make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks. Thank you guys we really enjoyed it!

We greatly appreciated the low cost, high quality, and fantastic service we received from this store! The owner is very friendly, and accommodating. You can tell they want you to have a good time, and not break the bank.For $30 we rented their cart special (umbrella, chairs, ice chest, and cart) for the whole day. It was perfect!

This place is a scam. We rented paddle boards for the whole day and they refused the rental, the reason they gave us was that 12 mph winds were not acceptable. They rented out our paddles to others.A dishonest business. Watch out, don’t depend on these guys!

Terrible experience; total lack of communication and ended up waisting half my day. After prepping all morning I arrived to find out the dock was closed to *wind*, even though there was barely a breeze. They attempted to call me one time without leaving a message and did not let me know in advance any other way. Massive waste of time and as a local I would not reccommend this place to anyone.

Did the all day kayak trip and was extremely impressed and pleased with my experience! The best equipment I’ve ever used from a rental company and phenomenal service. Chris was extremely knowledgeable about the water and told us how to get to a small little island in the middle of the water! They get all of your equipment in the water for you making it a seamless and hassle free process! Highly recommend to locals/visitors!!

We had a great time! Wonderful and patient lesson for my niece who was a first- time paddleboarder. Beautiful calm water to practice on with plenty of docks that my Auntie was able to sit on and watch us in action and take pics. Secure storage for our stuff while we were out on the water. Easy parking in the lot down the block. I highly recommend for novice and experienced paddlers :-)

Went here a few weeks ago and loved it. One of my friends recommended us to go and now we recommended a few to go as well! The young lady who helped us out was so nice and she showed us everything we needed to know how to get to an island and back. The view was great me and my boyfriend had a blast!!

Wow! Above and beyond! My 4 girls wanted to paddle board and people working here are amazing, even provided a lesson! Mr. Roth was able to drop the boards off at the place I am renting so we could use them all day! I wish I could give them 10 stars!

A bit over priced compared to other kayak rental’s. They also locked us out and forgot we were still out in the ocean at 5pm. There is nothing eventful for the first 40 min of kayaking but once you make it to the mangroves there are dolphins and calm waters.

I love this store you can find everything you need, best quality T-shirts, yeti cups, etc... but what my kids and I love the most is to rent paddle boards and kayak!!! They have the best spot to practice and have a great sunny day paddle boarding!!! I’m very picky into choosing places and I would recommend this place a 100%. Attention is 100% the owner Chris is very responsible and he knows how to take care of his clients!!! Thank you!!!

We rented a tandem kayak here. The owner Chris and the associate Katie were awesome! They have such positive energy and are very helpful. I really enjoyed the kayaking but browsing the store was a delight too. (They have some great ukuleles.) We chose to rent a full day without a tour and Katie showed us islands we can get to by marking it on our Google maps. Chris had everything ready for us and we were able to spend an amazing day out in the water.Wear a bathing suit and make sure to pack a change of clothes. We got soaked while kayaking. Id definitely recommend either renting or buying those little water proof floatable phone protector bags. One of those bags held 2 IDs, 2 credit cards and 2 phones. Renting one costs $5 but I wanted to purchase mine for $20 because I could see me using it at the beach in general. We also brought a little picnic cooler and had lunch on Angel island on the little picnic table there. Highlight of the trip was seeing a family of dolphins not too far away from us while we were kayaking! It was a great experience.

They were so helpful and we had a great time with our kids. They made sure that we had a life jacket that fit our 2 year old who is tiny. They took it from their store merchandise to make sure we were taken care of. They were wonderful!

It has been about two weeks since we found a great deal for paddle board and Kayak, all of the staff were exceptional, it looked as if everyone was having a great day, they gave us great advice on finding a place to have breakfast while we returned to start our day, the owner (Chris) was great, he demoed the paddle board for us and was very patient on teaching my daughter, when we returned a young man you was the manager was very polite, this was truly an experience above our expectations, the store is awesome, the inventory in it for sale is top notch, this store is definitely a must visit to anyone in the area. SO MUCH FUN! A dolphin swam right up next to us!!!!! Super cool! The water is directly from the ocean! Staff is really friendly. I went with my roommates. There was 4 of us and we bought 2 paddle boards for the whole day! Had an awesome time!

We rented bikes for an afternoon and had the misfortune of having a flat tire several miles out. After a long, sweaty walk back to the shop, the owner was very kind and gracious. I didnt ask for anything but they immediately refunded our money and offered a voucher for a second try (2 bikes again same length of time). This was way beyond any expectations and was oh so appreciated. While we did not use the voucher, the notion was really nice.5 stars for the store, for the rentals, and especially for the customer service and kindness. Thanks again!

Great experience. I rent some bikes to have a family trip nearby the region (4h ridding). The bikes were almost new brands, comfortable and weve got a good price. It was a good way to explore the region.

Chris and staff were super friendly. They do everything for you including putting paddleboard in water and putting it up. They offer a free instructional class which we found so useful because we had never been out. Location along water is great too with lots of places to take the paddle board. Their store offers alot of merchandise including sunglasses, hats, clothes, and even paddleboards. Definitely worth trying!!

Although I got a good deal on a paddleboard the owner was quite rude and short. I inquired about my purchase to get a better understanding and each time he was extremely rude. I think when Im ready to buy a new board that is more pricey I will shop elsewhere to avoid the extreme rude attitude of the owner.

Nice hidden gift shop good selection

This was my first paddle board experience and it couldn’t have been better. The workers at the store were super friendly and had a lot of uplifting words about how fun it would be. Then the young lady who instructed us on how to use the paddle board gave great instruction! Likely to use again when I’m back in the Clearwater area.

Renting our kayaks was really easy and the staff was super friendly and relaxed. Had a great time kayaking and saw quite a few dolphins, even as close as a couple feet from our kayaks once! They also had waterproof bags for your phone and other things you can rent for $5 which was very handy. I would definitely recommend coming here for rentals

This place is the example of a business that shouldn’t be in business. Definitely won’t be coming back.Our friend was having her wedding day and rented a wheelchair for her nana. She left the chair at the pick up and drop off spot.Then “Chris” called and asked where to pick it up. He then yelled at the newlywed bride about leaving it at the drop off location. He literally made the bride stutter on the way to her wedding dinner not knowing what to say to the rude “Chris”.Please avoid at all costs.

It was my fiancé’s and I first paddle boarding experience and it was so much fun! The gentleman who assisted up as soon as we arrived to the shop (Trevor) was so nice and was very helpful. The paddle boards were very good quality and for a bargain. Would definitely be coming back!

You want awesome service? Shop no further. If there were six states Id give it to them. Paddles Chris and Katie took such good care of me: I had a flat on my back tire and it was $11 for the tube and to replace it in 20 minutes. On top of that Chris noticed a couple things with my bike that I had just acquired (from a friend and the bike had sat outside for a year) and fixed them too with no extra charge. Talk about real beach hospitality. They got my buisness for life and youll feel the same.

It was our first time paddle boarding so we did 2 hours. if youre somewhat fit and have good balance your set otherwise Id recommend getting the kayak.

I rented a paddle board today solo and it was one of the best paddle board experience i’ve had to date! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable on everything paddle boards. They made sure I was comfortable on my board helped me on and off and even informed me of the winds and directions for where to go and what to check out! If you’re in the area and looking to paddle board-this is the place to go! I will definitely be back!

Clearwater Paddleboard Co. Is the best in Clearwater! We were lucky to have found it, best rates in town and best equipment around. Chris, is a former ship captain and an expert paddle boarder who still loves to teach beginners. He gave a free lesson and even brought us around on the boards. Chris was super nice, truly loves what he does and it shows. When we were on our own, we took a break and enjoyed some complimentary water from Chris and saw a dolphin!

My wife and I were recently on vacation in Florida, and we rented chairs and an umbrella from this company. Their customer service was excellent, and they were very accommodating to our needs. Highly recommended!

Had a Groupon for paddle boarding. It was a great experience. They gave us a quick how-to demonstration and then set us loose to try it out. If youre a beginner, dont go when its too windy. Its hard to learn how to paddle board when the wind keeps knocking you over.

Had an awesome time! Chris was very helpful and flexible with our time. We werent sure which day to go but held a spot for us for both Friday and Saturday. He also offered to drive us around. He gave us a quick lesson and let us out on the water. Great experience!

CB PaddleBoard made for a great day of kayaking - the staff was enthusiastic and kind. They have a great shop right by frenchy’s original, with high quality beach gear/apparel. Before they launched our tandem Kayak our host outlined a few neat places to visit, and we ended up finding a secluded little island in the harbor - 5/5 would go again!

Great service included dry bag and bottles of water as well as free paddle board lessons! We took the path to the intercostal which led to a cute lil sandy beach island all to ourselves.

We rented kayaks and had a tour of the Bay. The Tour was excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny: we found our own deserted island and had snacks. One of us is an experienced kayaker, the other not is much. The tour was perfect for both of us. The guide had a complete sense of the wind (no surprise given his experience), so he took us on the perfect route with the least wind problems. If you want a great experience in the Clearwater Beach area that blends exercise and water, do a kayak tour!

Shopping for a stand-up scooter was the mission.30 seconds later, floorperson Katie showed up with the details and answers I needed. As the conversation became more technical, Mr Chris stepped in with valuable info and extras. Customer service like this is so rare. Five stars well earned!

I didnt know what to expect to tell you the truth, but this far exceeded anything I thought. I called in the morning on Sunday and left a message. Chris called back quickly and persisted in trying to get a hold of me despite me not answering my phone. I thought that was nice. I made a reservation and he had the boards waiting on the beach for us when we showed up.. He gave a quick lesson and paddled out with us. He then let us hang out and just do what we liked for a few hours.He gave us some water bottles for free even. Really nice guy!When we were done he took all the equipment back and made sure we had had a good time.I will definitely be back.

This is a one stop shop for sure! Rentals for everything! My son and I rented bikes and it was literally our favorite part of the trip! Very reasonably priced!! We ended up keeping the bikes our entire trip ( which was just a 3 day mini trip) and we wouldnt have been able to do half of what we did without them! Also picked up souvenirs for the family back home at reasonable prices! Owner Chris and staff were friendly and helpful! We will return next time for everything we need!

Chris rocks!!! We rented boards for the day while visiting friends. Chris brought the boards out to the beach for us and gave us a quick lesson for riding in open water which was new for us. He hung out and made sure we were good to go before he left. When we were ready to call it a day, he arrived to pick up the boards something like 5 minutes after we called. Very excellent service and just nice people.
