Wow!!!!!! I never ever had such a wonderful experience at a Post office. First and foremost, I dont know the name of the clerk that helped me, but it was a woman of Hispanic descent and she was one of the sweetest, friendliest people I have ever come across. She also gave me options for sending my package. If only more people were like her working for the Post office, it would be such a pleasant experience. I will never go anywhere else.

Pretty bad experience at this post office. The post man was rude and didn’t seem to want to help me. He also didn’t want to listen to me about sending an International letter (things I do every month).Really don’t recommend this Clark Post Office

I went in to mail a letter to Trenton on 2/5. it was weighed, proper postage attached by employee. Chucked in a bin or? Trenton never received as of 2/16. Meanwhile I put a bday card in scotch plains mailbox on 2/9 and that made it to California as of 2/12.

On Tuesday, 12/1/20 I placed 2 Christmas cards in the outgoing mail slot inside this Clark, NJ Post Office. At the same time I mailed a package at at the counter. The package was delivered on Friday, 12/4/20. Terrific! As of today, 12/10/20, the 2 Christmas cards have yet to reach the intended: Montclair, NJ and Scranton, PA. I spoke with the 2 counter agents explaining about the package delivery but not the cards. Their response was that mail services are inundated and taking a minimum of 10 - 12 days! Incoming mail to my home is showing a 2 day turn around, information I shared with the agents to which they became mute. Such arrogant and misinformed employees, clearly warm bodies with ZERO knowledge of the process. Sadly, yet another example of predictable government employees. FYI: this location sends its outgoing mail to Rahway, NJ before it gets sent to Kearny, NJ. AVOID this location and mail only from a 1 stop location.

For those who are victims to one of the worst govt agencies contact our local congressman, make complaints with consumer affairs. With consumer affair complaints they have to respond to you. If enough complaints go in on paper they will have no choice but to fix the post offices in Union County. My in Law is a usps manager but in NYC where less is tolerated she even said her nj postal experiences are of such low quality she has never seen before in her 20+ years with the post office. Make petitions and complain to consumer affairs. They ignore the google reviews and have no reason to respond. Complain to the right people.

USPS has pre-funded nearly 100% of their pension benefits and 1/2 of their healthcare benefits to the tune of $405 BILLION in future liabilities. This liability has them paying a mandatory $5.6 Billion yearly. They are in constant debt because of this, and cannot better themselves in any way possible now.You know youve got a real bad working environment when there is no incentive to work hard AND bad actors cant be removed. Morale is non-existent, and you can see it on their faces. I genuinely feel badly for those employees working hard that care. The USPS is the poster child for mismanagement in the public sector. Thank congress for allowing this to happen.

This place opens whatever time they want, there is almost always a long line with only one person working and sometimes there is no line and they are in back and you still have to wait. They haven’t been rude to me but I have seen others treated badly and I thought one guy was going to hit the guy behind the counter he was so mad.

Let me start by saying that I am a resident of Clark for 20 years and frequently go to this post office. Postal workers are like referees in football or umpires in baseball -- you dont really take notice unless they blow the call. Well, this one clerk really blew the call on Friday NOV 11 at 3:25pm and again about an hour later. I walked in at 3:25 and was the only person in the office - not a soul in line but me. I had 30 certified letters to mail, which, granted, can hold up a line on a busy day. But on this day at this time I was the only one there, and the clerk refused to take the mailing on the grounds that she might get busy. I suggested that I could step aside mid-mailing if someone were to enter the line behind me (I am aware that the clerk can suspend a transaction and later get back to it). The clerk refused to even take a small portion of my 30 letters, saying that she doesnt have the staff to help her. If youve ever done a certified mailing, each letter takes about 15-20 seconds. So, in total, I had 10-15 minutes worth of work for her to do if she had done them all. I argued that there was no one else in line, but she was steadfast in her refusal. She then gave me a tip why dont you go to Rahway or Westfield and they can help you. I told her thanks, and left the building and headed to the Westfield PO. When I got there, the line was too long, so I headed to Graselli Station PO in Linden. They were closed (by this time it was around 4pm). Agitated, I decided to go back to Clark (I live in town), and stopped again into the Clark Post Office. Again, there was no one in line. I went straight to the counter and said that Ive been driving around for almost an hour and now I want these letters postmarked. I pointed out that there is no one in line. She simply said, No, cant do it. How do I know if a bunch of people are going to walk in? I said, Im here, at your counter, first in a line that doesnt even exist. She said, Well, how do you know there wasnt a line after you left the first time? I seriously doubt that it was mobbed the moment after I left the first time and then suddenly emptied out when I cam back an hour later. After this explanation, I took my letters, told the clerk that I would be filing a complaint, and then walked out. Furthermore, I have now missed my legal deadline to send these letters and that will have an adverse affect on my business. Anyway, this was horrendous service and this clerk clearly does not want to work. She should be relieved of her duties there, because she clearly doesnt share the values of the Post Office that I have come to know over the years. This kind of employee would not last a day as my employee...

Terrible. I have constant issues with this post office, for one they NEVER answer the phone so I dont know why they even have a phone number listed. Another thing I missed a delivery due to working and I called the 800 number to set up a redeliverhy. Clark apparently never checks the updates because they tried again to redeliver when I was working and paid no mind to the multiple alerts sent to deliver on a Saturday. Worst post office and terrible customer service,

The removal of mail boxes around the town of Clark (this was done to save money), is bad enough. Now the drive up drop box, in the post office parking has been reduced to one, and it is ALWAYS full. Just plain stupid, and am hoping stupid can be fixed in this case. Please.
