Their care of my dogs is as if it is their own dog. Caring and friendly staff. Whenever I need my dog to be seen they make it happen even when they are busy. They care for how the person feels also.

Even when I moved out of Citrus Heights area 10 years ago, I continued bringing my fur babies to them. Dr Carney was attentive and very thorough during the exam. She showed concern on issues previous vets have brushed off. She provided excellent information and set up an immediate care plan for Rosko. Were glad we were able to see her.

We found a cat in a wall at an automotive shop. We brought him in and they gave us a ton of information but we did not feel pressured at all to do anything that day(we ended up doing everything that day). They care and you can tell. Great place and would recommend!!!

What can I say they got me in a moments notice and took care of my two German Shepherd one year old puppies they were suffering with the air infection it just came on really soon and they had allergies so Dr. Sissel was able to get them under control in one visit and I’m booking a follow up for a month out so that we stay on top of my dogs issues I have four Pups and I recently switched over all four pups to Sylvan pet hospital .

Completely let down by our vet Dr. FOLGER. I am due to have a baby this week and our puppy will be staying at my mother in laws once labor begins. To help with her anxiety I called last week to request a sedative for our one year old 70lb lab mix. After not hearing back from anyone for a week, I called today to see what happened with my request. Im told that the vet will not prescribe anything unless I bring her in for an exam. She was just seen 3 months ago. This is unnecessary, to require a 10 month pregnant woman to haul in her 70lb puppy just to have a prescription filled. Seems like theyd just like to charge for unnecessary exams. Theyre unwilling to communicate transparently and double charged me for the exam last time she was seen 3 months ago. Beware... and inspect your bills!

Sylvan Corners went above and beyond with the care of my pet. They were able to squeeze my cat in for updated vaccines at the end of their day. Without those vaccines, I would have been unable to have my cat boarded during an emergency my family was having. Sylvan Corners is by far the best pet hospital that I have ever been to. To put it another way, my family and I live in the South Sac area and make the drive all the way up to Citrus Heights because we love them so much.

I have been taking my animals to sylvan corners pet hospital for 17 years. they have been unendingly compassionate when choices are hard, and supportive with common sense choices when money is tight. They have always provided my family with the highest level of care at very reasonable prices. I have recommended them to any and all of my family and friends when they are looking for good veterinary care. I cannot speak highly enough of their staff and doctors.

We absolutely love this Veterinary clinic. Sylvan Corners is always our top choice. All off the staff is very friendly and gentle with the animals. The doctors are extremely competent. I love that they always take the time to go over all of our options and answer any questions we have about them before moving forward with any treatment. Weve worked with every vet on staff and they are all great. Weve trusted them with everything from minor issues like worms and minor infections to major things like end stage FIP with one of our rescue cats and full dental extraction surgery on another. Their pricing is fair and transparent. Their hours and availability cannot be beat. If youre looking for a good vet in the area this is definitely it.

Will not be bringing anymore pets to you. Your receptionist needs a better bedside manner. I called to find out about putting my dog down. Obviously I dont want to do this but I dont have a choice. I was asked if I wanted to be present and answered yes. Well you cant was the response I got. I get covid restrictions but dont ask a question you already know the answer to. Would have been better to just, gently, remind me that I would not be allowed in the clinic. She also offered the services of a vet to come to my home but didnt know the cost and said the vet didnt work from your clinic. Sounded very back alley like to me. Sad to say, you have lost a decades old client today.

Rude and unprofessional had my dog vaccinated on Saturday whent to the groomer on Tuesday morning they called vet twice and both times were told that she was not up to date so I had to return home get paperwork and take back to groomer. When my wife called back this afternoon to ask why there response is your still upset?

I took two of my pups there to get spay. I was very pleased with the service and how they treated my babies. We had no issues and they were back to themselves in no time and their scars look great.

Ive been doing to this place for abbot 15 years and my family has been using them longer than that. They are the kindest, most caring, and thorough staff Ive ever had the pleasure of experiencing and they are very reasonable price wise. They are there to help your with anything and they dont push you to make a decision or judge you off you dont choose an option they provide. They just want to make sure you, your family and your pets get the best care possible.

My experience couldnt have been any better. my dog and I relaxed in the car until it was her turn to be seen. She only needed one shot. Although She was still a little bit timid, thats just how she is, I could tell it was a lot less stressful for her. The technician came out and took her inside and just a few minutes later my little Zero was back in the car and updated on her vaccines. I appreciate the business being open during this hard time. The prices are fair and the friendliness and professionalize of the staff cannot be beat. Zero, Lord Vader, Buck and Pepe Le Kitty thank you for being there when we need you.

My sister recommended this vet to me & I couldn’t be happier. I switched to another one& it was the worst decision I made. I have a staffordshire bull terrier mix & they changed it to Pitbull mix, no idea why, they were rude & didn’t help my dog at all. Sylvan is the complete opposite. They all are kind, informative, professional, listen to you, everything good I look for in a vet! My last vet visit with, Chad, I believe his name was, was quick, easy& he was so nice to me & my dog!

Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital is very helpful in explaining the care and possible treatment of your pets. My pet had a medical procedure and they where clear on the reason for the treatment and a pre and post op wellness check for my dog.

I was initially uncomfortable about letting Zoey go without me. Zoey is one to escape and I worry about her not being in my view when going out nor does she listen to others. Macy who was the vet assistant was fantastic. She came to the car and discussed Zoeys issues, explained the possible procedures and returned her to me after all was done. Dr. Folger ( hope Im spelling that right) she was so patient and listened to my concerns. She called me after Zoeys exam and explained everything as well as what she recommended. Her ear is now doing better. During this time of Covid-19, things are out of the ordinary but Sylvan is doing an awesome job with the situation and the care of our pets.

Been bringing my dogs here for years and I have loved this place every different Dr weve had has been awesome until now. She was very condescending when it came to my dogs diet which theyve been on for years (raw). And insisted my dog needs the be put under for x-rays without trying them first which she has done great at without being put under before. Its an extra 200 dollars and not to mention its a serious risk to put a dog under. . Very sad to say but I will not be bringing my dogs back here again. If you do bring your dogs ask for DR sissle only hes very nice and is very smart. Dont get DR Sievers.

I always love the service at Sylvan corners. The new check in process was a little hit and miss (the phone lines werent working) but in this pandemic situation I think Sylvan Corners did great. I only wish I could have been with Eli during his exam and tests. He probably thought I left him again (he boards there when I travel for work) and was probably scared while being poked and prodded. But again we are in pandemic times. Thanks for taking such good care of him.

Now that my dog has passed I can write a review about this place.Dr.Sissle is the best vet I’ve been to in my life .Very caring and knowledgeable about everything that Vet can be!!Love him..That being said:The front office is the reason I’ve left.My blind and diabetic Pug/Chihuahua needed vetsulin each month to survive and each month I had to call and Beg for them to refill his vetsulin .Note:They don’t sell it so I don’t know why they tried soo hard not to help me get this refilled through Chewy.My pup was 14 years old and the front office acted like I was bothering them to get it approved.You might ask why didn’t I change vets.Well because he was old he would have to go through all the tests and he wouldn’t have survived.I have two new Boston’s and would have loved them to go here but I just couldn’t trust the front office. Especially the lady who was there 20 + years who was in deferent to my poor pups needs..I hope others had different results and again love the vet.Thanks,

Have been taking my Shiba Inu to Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital since moving to Citrus Heights. They have taken such great care of my Shiba, I cannot stress enough how much care and concern they have for my baby! I couldnt ask for anything more.

Been going here for years, but recently I had my oldest dogs health deteriorate. She had gone from barely mobile but happy to in serious pain. I knew it was time to end her suffering. I call my vet and when asked, I explain she is in very bad shape and needs to be euthanized. I am floored when they tell me they wont be able to do anything for 4 days. 4 days of pain and misery is apparently just fine. Im sorry, but this is the sort of thing I kinda expect someone to make room for. Letting an animal suffer is just plain inhumane, not something you should expect from a veterinarian.Thankfully I found a lady who comes to your home and does it. SHE MADE AN EXTRA APPOINTMENT for me and my girl. So I love that this place is within walking distance, but Im afraid I will be transferring elsewhere.

I am so happy I switched to this Vet! I appreciate them from the way they treat my babies to how they take the time to explain what is happening and the solutions possible. I feel more confident and assured that Ruby is in a great hand. He genuinely cares about Rubys well-being and took time to listen to my questions and concerns and answered and explained to me the condition and important information about Rubys treatment. The staffs are all nice and helpful, especially Kimmie. The facility is clean, tidy and hygienic. Please keep it that way because many other clinics are not doing so well in this aspect. I highly recommend Sylvan Corners.

Great vets and vet techs, the place is large enough to have more than a couple dogs in the waiting room at a time without them being on top of each other. Overall the prices are very reasonable for a vet and the quality of care is excellent. They have been taking care of my 95lb. lab mix for over two years and I have yet to have a bad experience yet.

Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital is a great place to care for our dogs. We had to say goodbye to one of our beautiful dogs back in December. She hadnt eaten for some time as she was so sick. The vet tech knew that bothered me that our Winnie wouldnt get to enjoy a last meal. The tech left the room for a few minutes and came back with a steak from her own lunch. She offered it to our sweet Winnie. It meant the world to me. This type of compassion is priceless and I will never forget it. Thank you to all the staff that help us to keep our animals healthy and happy.

I had a great experience with Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital of which I acquired the use of their boarding care sevices. I had a last minute job assignment out of state for which I needed urgent placement for my dogs care for a week. Sylvans employees were VERY welcoming from the moment my dog & I walked into the door. They were exceptionally professional, kind, and accommodating to all of my needs for my dog. They were honest & adamant with keeping me informed of everything about my dog, as far as her 1st night stay & how she was adapting there. I truly appreciated them doing so b/c it really put me at ease knowing that my dog was adjusting well & also it showed she was in good care. In addition, it was my 1st time ever using their services, so it was like taking a chance with hopes that all goes well as my dog adjust to the employees, the new environment, & the quality of their care. All of which I must say I was very pleased & satisfied with. When I returned to pick her up, they had her nice & clean, all of her things were together, and they gave me a final report of her entire stay there. I would definitely use their services again, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need boarding care.

Today was the scariest day for me as a dog parent, my dog Odin was bleeding from the mouth heavily. I panicked and called the emergency vet in Roseville they couldn’t help me if it was a mouth problem (dental ). I called Sylvan and got a same day appointment. I got there an hour early and they took my dog right away because he was bleeding. They removed a bad tooth the exact same day and treated us beyond well, everyone was amazing and I couldn’t be anymore grateful!!!! Thank you for taking care of Odin.

They gave my puppy a certificate of bravery when he had dental surgery. Cutest thing Ive ever seen a vet office do. They also have late appointments and always try to work our animals into their schedule. The vets are all nice, but my favorite is the female vet ( I cant remember her name). She is so sweet, gets on the ground to gain trust with the animal before doing her doctor stuff.

Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital has always been great for our baby! He is a dog that I rescued and its obvious the first year of his life mustve been a tough one, but he loves us and weve done the best we can to socialize him. Everyone has always been kind and loving towards him at Sylvan, which is a great comfort. Its difficult to leave him even for just a few days because I feel hes never sure if were coming back but I know they take good care of him.

Our family dog wasnt well so we got an appt. Staff was friendly and helpful and understood our anxiety. The Dr we saw was very knowledgeable and gave us all the info we needed to decide what our plan of action might be. The vet tech came in and made sure we understood all of our options with NO SALES PITCH WHATSOEVER. Overall, they seemed to care about the health of the dog more than some sales pitch. Dog is better and we are very pleased customers.

Love this pet hospital, both my dogs are very happy here theyve had several issues and were not happy at other places. The staff is very nice and always seem happy to see you. They are very gentle with my dogs also. My smallest always threw up after leaving other pet places but he hasnt yet after his 3rd visit to Sylvan Corners

Ive had several animals in Sylvan Corners. They have been helpful, upfront about costs, even to giving me a written estimate before doing any work. They also have good hours for working people like me. Weekends are good. Would be even better if they were open until 7 on weekdays.Pricing has not been out of line with other vets in this area, and were somewhat cheaper than our vet in Yuba City.
