Ive been signed with HWA since April of this year (2020) and they have been warm and welcoming every step of the way! I can honestly say that every single person Ive interacted with on their team has been incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly. They are always super responsive via email or phone with any questions you may have! Sharon is amazing and I love working with her. She really knows what shes talking about when it comes to anything in this industry.Ive only been signed with them for a few months and Ive already booked two well-paying gigs! And I get castings regularly as well so I know the booking agents are always submitting me for work! I worked crew on a UC Health shoot in March. When I learned that the entire talent pool on the job came from this agency I was impressed until I spoke with one of the actors who told me Helen Wells Agency screwed their actors by offering their actors up for $200.00 for a 10 hour day, all rights for print, web & broadcast. I worked crew on this very same job 24 months earlier with actors from other agencies around the city, all actors received $5000.00. So this agency cut the rate $4,800.00!! Since doing this job the production company is now asking me to cut my rate by 1/3. It’s 100% because this agency cut the actors rates to 200.00. I understand the people who bought this company from Helen Wells are new to the industry and don’t fully understand how rates go but how is this good business on any level? This agency needs to value their talent’s worth because its now affecting the crew’s income. Stay away!!!

When transitioning agencies, there are a lot of unknowns & it is scary. But HWA welcomed me with so much kindness & support. They focus on teamwork & that is so important when developing a career. The communication is unlike anything I have ever seen before- everyone on the HWA communicates with so much respect & authenticity. Like I said, its scary transitioing agencies, but HWA has been one of the best choices Ive made. Sharon at the Cincinnati office is amazing at what she does and truly cares for everyone.
