Great summer camps for kids!
WARNING VENDORSThis client will not pay you for your services and contracts mean nothing. We have been lied to, sent bounced checks and ignored. We are now eating not only our entire fee for services rendered but also bounced check fees. Do not work with this company.
Such fun going with friends to enjoy the wine, food and music together. Great people to hang with. The band did all my favorites from Steely Dan and they were perfect!
Had a team event here and I cannot tell you how incredible it was. Dont waste your time reading other reviews.... just go. You can even stop in and just get a taste of whats there and meet the incredible owner and staff.Tremendous place with passion and a desire to serve the best.
Patio is awesome, the food was amazing (and can accommodate most dietary needs), and the staff was just the best. We had an event and I was blown away. Will absolutely be back!
Not a real cooking class for this structured large group event. The staff did a great job in making sure we were served with good prepared food for our tasting. Wines were a grade above the norm. Yes, Id go back. Thank you staff!
We had a networking / team building event here and it was great. All of the employees were very nice (and hilarious). We had drinks, made our food and enjoyed it. Making the food was low key enough that we could still socialize while doing it. All of the food was delicious. The building doesnt have parking but there is public parking close.
Love this place! Truly a hidden hem!! Julie is awesome very friendly and welcoming! Food is amazing! Everything is so fresh! Great wine pairings! The Vine and Dines have great music. Definitely worth checking out. Great value for what you get!!!
Thanks for hosting us on Friday afternoon! The atmosphere was fun and the weather was beautiful to sit on the patio with a glass of wine. While we didn’t participate in any of the interactive stations, we still had a great time. The food was all yummy. The chili rubbed shrimp and grippo spiced smoked chicken wings were my favorite! Thank you again!
We had a company retreat there. Excellent food and great service. It was comfortable and relaxing. Great Place!!
This place host corporate and functional events. It provides a unique experience for everyone. Kids made their own pizza for dinner with the chef. We had pork belly sliders and they were out of this world. They had great wine and craft beer selection.
Such an interesting and interactive spot! Great food! Amazing people and WINE!
Amazing experience, great atmosphere, friendly staff and food was delicious. My fiance had my college graduation party here & we loved it so much, were planning our wedding reception here next year.
Learned lots of cool stuff, and had some delicious food! Loved it!
Great spot for team building events. A must do for anyone looking for this type of venue.
We had a corporate event here. The staff was wonderful. The setting was very nice and the food was excellent! My co-workers and I had a blast!
Julie and staff are always amazing. I always know we are in good hands when we have meetings here.
Always fun affordable venue w great music
We have had a few corporate events here. Food, music, & wine all spectacular! Owner Julie really goes out of her way to make everything perfect.
Fantastic meal. Fantastic service. If you are planning a company outing, put Art of Entertaining at the top of your list
My 13 year old daughter had a blast and learned a ton. Well ran week long camp. Hoping they add additional camps in the future. Well worth the money!
Had so much fun, but the event could have been more prepared. Top notch food though and awesome help from the consulants
Cool place for your team event
I used to go to the location when it was Chateau Pomije, Art of Entertaining was seemed sort of connected. I was so sad to see the Chateau sign down, but I thought maybe it would be like it was before. It wasnt. Moreover, when I visited last Friday, I couldnt find an employee! So, I left. Maybe their entertaining or whatever they even do in there is going well, but I wouldnt shop there for wine again!
Fun, relaxing, congenial, you should go great food
Had our office party here and it was a great time. Food was top notch.
Hosted our rehearsal dinner here and it was wonderful! Fun, cozy space and the staff was easy to plan and work with.
Myself and Leslie had very similar experiences working for Julie at art of entertaining. I worked at The art of entertaining about 3 years ago and there is no doubt Julie is a bully. She is an abrasive horrible leader who does nothing but belittle and abuse her staff. I consistently tell of my time employed there as my worst experience and job ever. I can say this is true for others as I have encountered former employees. Shocker, they experienced the exact same thing!Julie did not send my last check after I quit. While working there she also did some funky thinks with pay. Like the first $500 is tax free then we do paperwork, and that this is a favor she does for us. I had to get an attorney through legal aid to help me draft a letter in order for Julie to send any sort of payment. Though once I did receive a check in the mail, it was $500 below what i was owed. So, in short, PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. You will find better quality people than Julie anywhere in the city. Almost nothing is house made like she advertises. It is all just bought from kroger. To Leslie, if you need help getting paid... Just google how to file a wage claim and go from there. It is very simple and there is a Department of Labor office in Cincinnati that you can call to answer questions. She is going to just write you a personal check. Or, I would guess that she probably started the contractor thing because she got put in her place by some one. Julie was previously just paying people with a personal check. (I too fell for the personal check) Did you fill out a 1098 or a w2? Also, just because your are told you are a contractor you may not be. There are actual guidelines as to what qualifies someone as a contractor or an employee. you can find them online. Finally, just stop talking to Julie. Its a dead end street. Dont threaten any thing like If you dont pay me I will tell XYZ about ABC, or Pay me or I will report all this to XXX. You do not want to deal with accusations of extortion or blackmail. Just start calling and filing tomorrow. This is how you get paid.
Love their gatherings! The food is always amazing and the wine club is well worth it.
I started working as an independent contractor for Julie 3 weeks ago-- Hired to promote her business and events. I have run two successful business and decided to work with Julie to do something fun and different. Well-- it was anything but fun! Julie treats her staff and contractors with zero respect. She is a bully and very emotionally abusive.I have watched her lie to customers- i.e. Yvette Simpson-- I brought Julie an opportunity for a fund raising event. She told my contact that she would cater food to their other fundraisers at Julies cost. After the client left, I asked Julie if she donated food often. NO she told me--she just uses cheaper food and marks it up so she makes the same amount of money!I have never seen so much food waste. All food is disposed of in the kitchen. You can work 6-8 hours and Julie would not think of letting you eat something that is about to be thrown away. Instead she suggests that you bring a snack to work!!Julie also encourages customers to give a gratuity on parties. The gratuity goes 100% to Julie. The staff is given nothing.I was meeting with Julie one day in the main area of the restaurant. She was busy yelling at me because one of my business associates stated that she did not like Julies website. Instead of wanting to know why -- Julie indicated that this was hurtful and speaking negatively about my associate. During her shouting episode, another contractor walked in asking Julie to please pay him. She yelled at him stating I am in a meeting 5 times in a row. -- Doing her best to humiliate him. She said nothing about paying him and instead told me that she obviously needs to find another contractor-- I am assuming she is looking for someone who does not want to be paid. The experience was difficult at best but I never dreamed I would have to fight and negotiate to be paid. When I told Julie I could not continue working if I was not paid, she called this a threat! I have been paid nothing for my services to date. Whenever I ask her when she is going to honor our agreement and actually pay me, she changes the topic. In her reply to me she states that people are responsible for what happens in their life. Yes, perhaps I should have never worked with her as my gut told me there was something wrong from the beginning. However, the rest of the story is on her.Since posting my review Julie has sent me several emails requesting and pleading for me to take my review down. She has stated that my review could close her business and end careers of her staff...wow, I never knew one person could be so powerful. She takes 0 responsibility for anything and has yet to apologize to me. Once again, she is unwilling to honor our agreement. My advice to Julie and any other business owners, pay your staff, contractors and bills. If your business is hurting and you cannot afford additional help, DONT HIRE THEM! In 20 years of owning businesses I have never missed a pay period with my staff. I would have no motivation to lie and write about my negative experience unless it was accurate. In reply to owners response, Yelp reviews are used to rate the business and its business practices. This is what I have done.
I worked at AOE for 3 months as a chef. Within those three months I saw a very uncleanily kitchen, with certain things the chef lied about to guests. Such as saying our pasta was homeade when it wasnt and using utility grade tenderlion. For those who dont know this Utility grade meat is the lowest quality meat. Its basically like eating Alpo. Food was consistently being temperature abused when I began. I slowly fixed this issue. The owner Julie is very condescending, and on multiple occasions she would get very aggrressive with us cooks, front of house staff, and even guests!! She doesnt know how to manage she only knows how to dictate. The head chef always smelled like alcohol daily.
Had an incredibly poor experience with Phillip who claimed he would use this job as a way to ruin us by telling everyone at his business about how bad we were. For him to mention his work in the slander of others looks poorly on this business and the people that they employ.
Was here for a team building exercise
Wonderful food!
To me the food did not have much of the flavor (very bland) but the staff was friendly.
YUM!
