Dustin Armstrong of first star logistics called and literally threatened us with a bad review if we didnt break our hours of service for a load. We decided to cancel. We dont break the law and I can tell from the reviews this company has serious issues that could hurt a growing company. We dont deal with that form of blackmail. Beware of these guys

As a college intern this past summer I can say that First Star Logistics is a great place to work compared to other jobs. They value their employees and will make your time here amazing.

Brokerage department is one of the worst broker, they make carrier to wait for 1 hour to send rate con and it is always like that, and if truck is covered during that period, they report a carrier on 411. they have no clue why they are reporting, they just want all carrier to stay down, and they do not answer phone calls too after reporting. if you have an option, do NOT us them, worst broker so far we have seen. NO GOOD BROKER

I don’t recommend this brokerage. They’re very shady and a big liars. They lie to driver and dispatch about the appointments and say it’s FCFS. If you already booked a load, and when your driver(s) reach(s) PU or delivery be ready to stuck there for more then 24 hours just because the broker didn’t set any appointments or they just lied to you about the actual appt. Check with shipper and receiver yourself before going there. AND ON TOP OF THAT, NO COMPENSATION FOR CARRIER. Even if its their mistake. If I could give zero stars I would.

They rate you, commit to a pickup then forget to schedule and offer to do the load at TRIPLE price.

Saved us with a last minute load of pumpkins. Needed to get the product to our customer after another carrier dropped the ball and wouldnt answer the phone. First Star Logistics previously had ask that we give them a shot if we were ever in a bind and needed help. We honestly thought it was a Hail Mary because of the fact that it was after hours and on the weekend, but they handled everything flawlessly and simply stated that trucking is 24/7/365. We will be using them (discussing an exclusive partnership for discounted rates) moving forward and we will certainly recommend them to anyone that has transportation needs in the upcoming Holiday season and beyond. I know that they have reefers, vans, flatbeds and do container work. Apparently they are one of the best companies to call when shipping internationally. They even do refrigerated heavy haul containers. Who knew ? Incredible company with incredible employees! This is one area of my company that I can start to relax with now. Best wishes to all!

Every experience and load that has been booked through John Westover has absolutely been amazing. The loads has ran smoothly and our rate con has always been what we agree on. Once you get to know John personally, he becomes family instead of just another brooker. I highly recommend yall to give this company a chance. Great service whenever we need helping getting our goods delivered locally and nationally. We have even had some freight needing to be sent overseas in which FSL steps up and knocks it out of the park. Incredible company with employees that will go above and beyond whats needed of them to ensure that the product is on time and we feel safe that our customers will be satisfied as well. Something wrong with their staff, they accustomed to reporting the carriers minor issues, finding unreasonable accuses, I understand there maybe problems with the load, but there are some issue which the carrier cant always control, and the update was given every hour, I think they just wait this kinda of situations to play a game with the carrier, I dont recommend to work with them to anyone

Had a great experience working with FS Logistics. They were able to get my load of tomatoes here to the market before the weekend when everyone else said that it couldnt be done. Had I relied on others opinions, I would have been stuck with 42,000+ pounds of produce rotting in Nogales, AZ and costing me tens of thousands of dollars. This is a great company with good brokers and honest, hardworking people. I always get paid on time and they always answer their phone. They seem to care a lot about their truck drivers which doesnt happen often these days.

Easy to work with. When my driver had an issue at 6 am, they answered the phone with a smile in their voice and directed me to another number. That person also answered the phone with a smile in their voice and took care of the issue. They then called back later to make sure everything was good to go.

While negotiating a load with dispatcher and completing carrier packet,I credit “Steve” for wasting my time, his superior unprofessionalism and fitting the profile of the mediocre broker,I waited for confirmation on a load from Seattle to San Antonio, never got it, he stopped answering, and when I called from a different number, I learned he moved the load for less, as they are trained to treat us.!!Rather than this disconnect, we need to remember we’re here to help each other and we’re all in it together.I hope this helps.

The sales guy Josh Brock reached out to my company to say he would like to offer us LTL quotes, His quote was 2,100 and other companys quotes were around $500, this company is way over priced, i let the employee know he may need more training as he was about 4-5 times higher than every other company, we would never provide another quote due to his price gouging or inexperienced rep, he then called my company to complain that i said he needs more training asking if this is how we do business, Then he tells me he didint read my full email and thats why it was quoted wrong, again needs training. which he does obviously need. make sure you inquire other brokers before trying these guys. Very poor customer service
