I work as a RSW at tender Mercies in Cincinnati. After retiring from the Marine Corps i was searching for something meaningful to do with my life when I landed on the door steps of Tender Mercies and havent looked back. I thoroughly enjoy working with the Staff and The clients. The clients are a great group of individuals and despite the stigmas sometimes attached, have the same hopes and dreams as do we all. I have truly been blessed and look forward to many years with this great individuals.

Been here almost five years. It’s a nice place for starters and very comfy. It’s been hard for me with residents but things have improved. I hope to stay til I get old. It’s the best place for me. It’s home!

This is a micro-community for people struggling with mental health issues where they can live in dignity among others who share and understand the difficulties of dealing with mental illness. An oasis of caring and compassion in a world that stigmatizes mental illness.
