The company I work for has used Paycor for the last 2-3 years and have found their services very easy to use. Our previous payroll company couldn’t offer half of what Paycor does. It makes payrolls so much easier. I do wish their online support was more responsive to emails.
Worst customer service of any company I have ever worked with! They do not respond to email and it takes hours to get someone on the phone. This used to be a great company, not sure what happened.
Midwest Security Services, Inc. has been using Paycor for over three years; and we are extremely satisfied with their services. Their payroll platform is user friendly. The reporting is great for customizing reports. Running payroll is simple and quick. I enjoy the customer engagement platform, The CORner. Its a lot of fun; with learning opportunities, and the ability to engage with other HR professionals.
We used Paycor at my previous employer. The worst payroll software I have ever used. Customer service was horrible and non-existent. We were billed for things we did not receive and could not get a resolution after more than a year. I have used other payroll providers and this is by far the worst.
I have been with this company for five years and they gradually increased their price by about a dollar per month each year until just last month when they increased my rate by $22 per month (an obscene rate of $75 per month to run payroll once time per month for one employee). I am beyond disappointed in this company and will be switching immediately.
We have been using Paycor for nearly 18 months. For the most part, we are more satisfied with Paycor than our former provider, Paychex. The HRIS system is second to none. It is very very easy to use and our staff like it a lot. Customer service is good. Our experience has not been flawless, we have had a few billing issues that would have overcharged us (Over $1,000 in a year) had I not caught them on the invoice. Waiting for the charges to be refunded to us has taken a significant amount of time (several months). Also, support tickets are sometimes not responded to at all, and sometimes take a long time to hear back. These issues would be enough to send us packing if the system was not as good as it is.Paycor has allowed my department (HR) to streamline and automate many processes. The HR Expert Team is INCREDIBLE and we are very very happy with them. Overall, our experience with Paycor is very good. It would be EXCELLENT if they would handle our billing and support issues without multiple requests and follow-ups from my team and I.
Amazing customer support, easy search for answer or call the customer service number. Great tutorial area from e-learning to actual webinars to learn from. Paycor is a great product that is very easy to use.
We used Paycor where I work. If there was an issue that required us to call them, the hold time was excessively long. Each call averaged over a two hour wait time. So, we switched services. When we didnt receive one of the employees W-2s the owner himself called and held for over two hours. We never did receive the W-2 so I am currently holding again to ask them to resend it.... AGAIN.
Software is good. Customer service is terrible. If you call in and actually get someone to answer the phone, its not bad - but if you send anything over e-mail (especially to the general support e-mail address) they just NEVER RESPOND. Also, Ive been trying to get someone to help me with G/L integration for months and no one responds. I just get given the run-around. What a joke.
Had there service during 2019 and my business has not stopped getting letters about missing returns and adjustments to return they did file. And you cannot get anywhere with them on fixing the problem they will not talk to you they just create a case number for you with them. Absolute worst payroll service I have ever dealt with.
If customer service is important to you and you need timely responses to your questions, do not waste your time and money with Paycor. I chose them as our payroll company less than a year ago and am looking to change companies already. Their customer service team is helpful -- IF you can reach them. Its super disappointing and frustrating to have to change platforms again, but I have to be able to reach someone (email or phone) in a timely manner. On the phone, go ahead and plan for more than an hour wait time (if you can get through), and email responses may never come. I hope this review will help other companies reconsider using Paycor.
The retail company I work for have over 60 locations and 300+ employees we use Paycor for HR, Payroll, LMS, Benefits, Time, and Onboarding. They are constantly doing system updates to help better the system. The system makes it very easy for our employees access their employment information. We have been able to streamline many of our manual processes which saves us a tone of time.
Do they have customer service? The only reason they are a 3 star is there employees love working there because it would appear they dont work. They have done a great job getting there call hold times down from 2-3 hour to 1 hour. This could be the worse company that I have ever dealt with.
The financial institution I work for of 550+ employees uses Paycor for HR, Payroll, Recruiting, LMS, Benefits, Time, and Onboarding. They do monthly system updates and have an easy self-service for our employees to update their information. We have been able to streamline many of our manual processes.
I have been using Paycor at my company for over ten years. Previously, we had an account manager. An actual person, with an actual name, email, and phone number. And, actual responsibilities to take care of their clients.Paycor seems to have handled their rapid expansion over the last 5 years or so terribly. They have abolished account managers for almost all clients. It is nearly impossible to reach a human being. Two hour holds are the norm. There is no email address or designated person or department to contact. Instead all inbound queries no matter the topic get funneled to some sort of giant call center function.Email queries go to a giant central collection and you are lucky if you ever hear back from a representative, ever. My most recent request was sent two weeks ago and I still haven’t heard anything. We are being pressured to transition to Paycor’s in house timekeeping system, but our sales rep says it doesn’t do accruals and wasn’t able to show us how an employee could transfer departments. This is basic functionality for any time keeping system.Paycor has eliminated the option to provide feedback on their website (not surprising given how much I assume is negative these days) so instead I am leaving feedback on the public google review site.Until Paycor brings back account managers, I would avoid moving your business to them.
This is by far the most disconnected and illogical system I have ever worked with. As if the product itself was not bad enough, their customer service is the beyond horrible. After years of struggling with this product we finally decided to switch to a new provider. When I emailed my CMS to follow-up on next steps after FOUR WEEKS of not returning my emails, I received a notice 24 hours later that our account was being shut down THAT SAME DAY.Just an absolute joke of a product. Run away.
BUYER BEWARE: Reviewing previous reviews, I was prepared for poor customer service but never thought it would be this bad. My team member was trying to get a resolution last week and was on hold for over 30 minutes and decided it was a waste of time and hung up. The reason for my one star. During the sales process, it was imperative to be a good fit for us to receive a CSV file of all things related to the payroll, including 401k and Workers Comp. The salesperson checked with a person that indicated that they could do it, so we signed with them and did not do more due diligence with the two other companies we had narrowed it down to. We went live April 1, 2021, and today June 31, 2021, they still do not have the issue resolved. 1st My recommendation is ANYTHING that you expect, and they say they can do, make sure it is spelled out in the contract or addendum. I have it recorded on our phone conversations, but I would have them spell it out. 2nd Be prepared that if there is anything important to you, to understand in our case, it was evident that the sales department did not communicate with the implementation team, very disheartening to have to repeat everything promised in the sales presentation. I understand from my Managers that their teams like Paycor, so it appears to me that if everything worked as promised, it would be a great package.
I came here specifically to read reviews to see if others were having the same problems that I am. Weve been with them for a really long time and Ive never had a problem with their customer service until the last few years. My emails go unacknowledged/unanswered and their call times are always an hour +. When we are dealing with peoples pay and the IRS, neither of those are okay with the excuse that our payroll provider isnt giving us timely information. I hope they see these reviews and make some internal changes and hire more employees.
The online payroll service is fine as long as you never need to talk to anyone who works. there. I have a question about payroll and I have been on hold with customer service for exactly one hour and counting. If you email in a question it can take 1 or more days to get a response. Didnt start out like this several years ago but Paycor has turned into a zero customer service experience.
This company is terrible. They dont care at all. They shouldnt even get 1 star, the only reason I gave 1 star is because they got me to switch w/ a free 3 month trial and I havent paid yet for this horrendous service. DO NOT USE!I can share with you all the terrible rude communications they give to their customers. Training is bad and material is too much and not broken down into bite size pieces. Unless you have a dedicated systems admin, dont do this!!! RUN RUN RUN!I even reached out to the CEO to try and get help and it made no difference.
A company that truly cares about their clients and employees
Have used paycor for a few years but recently have had problems and nobody will message back or your are stuck on hold for hours trying to talk to somebody. Eventually you hang up because body comes to the phone and your problem never gets fixed. I am definitely looking into finding a different payroll company.
This company is a joke. Their costume service is pathetic and no one knows how to answer a simple question. You no longer have a representative but have to call a call center where you are hold for multiple hours and when you finally get someone they have no clue what to do. Their software program for payroll never works properly when it comes to withholding federal taxes or even paying people on time. I would not recommend them to anyone and that is why I gave them 1 star because if I could give zero stars I would have. Pathetic
Ever since Covid good luck getting any customer service representatives on the phone. I just sit and wait, no one ever picks up, after hrs of waiting you are forced to hand up. They never answer via email so dont even waste your time going that route.
Customer service is pathetic at best today (1/19). I have been on hold literally for 5 hours with no response. I have concerns about payroll. Your company is supposed to be more responsible and more accessible than this. How would you like for your payroll and paycheck to be messed up. This is a very sad situation. One star is too generous the way I feel today.
Same experience as other reviews. Ever since COVID-19 hit, it has been nearly impossible to get a hold of a payroll specialist. I used to be able to contact someone that was dedicated to my account, but they switched it to just give you a general number and you get who you get. I have had to speak to someone about some items on my account 3 times in the past two weeks. I have had to wait on hold for over 3 hours before someone picked up the phone. I am currently on hold now and it has been 2 hours today.
If I could give Paycor 0 stars I would. Terrible customer service. Emailed a time sensitive document 4 times, called 3 times and did not receive ANY communication for 2 months. I have also asked to speak with a supervisor several times and have not received a response. This is extremely frustrating. I would not recommend Paycor to anyone.
Software is sophisticated. Customer service is more than disappointing. I have used Paycor for years and am becoming increasingly disappointed. To actually get support you have the options of calling or emailing. I have attempted both multiple times. The hold times are simply unacceptable. See my phone screen shots. Do you have time to wait like this? If not, go elsewhere for your payroll services. Sitting on hold this long is such an abuse of my time for starters. There is no call-back system so you are left on hold with an annoying loop of music that will drive you insane and tie up your phone line so you cant accomplish anything else at the same time. Unbelievable!
We have been a Paycor customer for years and have experienced a decline in customer service. We are going through a time and attendance update and it is a disaster, the associates at Paycor just punt the problems to a 1-800 number or email. I understand the low ratings and multiple 1 star reviews.
This business is awful. I cannot get through to anyone on the phone and I have been trying for the past 2 weeks. I have emailed them and get a generic response with a case number.I am about ready to drive down there and see if I can actually talk to someone. It seems like they have gotten too big and cannot handle the amount of accounts that they have.Time to find another payroll provider. What a joke!
Terrible...you cant get through to anyone on the phone because your on hold for hours until you get tired of listening to the recording and give up and hang up. And forget about emailing them, because all you get is a case number and NO ONE EVER contacts you back. I expressed my urgency because the screwed up a Child Support Court Order and a Garnishment and I was getting calls from both organizations. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Paycor and when the dust settles, I will be looking for a different payroll provided.
I haven’t been able to get through to anyone for over a month. Fist call I made I spent over 2 hours on hold and the call was never picked up, Today is call number four I’ve made and have been on hold for over 40 minutes. I’m trying to make important deduction changes for an employee. Hard to believe Paycor is this bad on the customer service front.
This payroll company used to be good, but has fallen apart during COVID. Have sent multiple emails and spent hours on phone, without ever reaching anybody. Paycor is the worst - buyer beware!!!!
Do not use!!!! I use Paycor for over 10 years for a company with over 50 employees in 3 states and in the last 12 months they switch their support structure away from assigned representatives, and now you cannot get support to call you back in a reasonable time frame (were talking weeks). In the crowded space of HRM and Payroll there had to be winners and losers and unfortunately Paycor is on the losing side.
This company is a joke. The hold time for customer service is 2+ hours. Their response time for email queries is one week. If you press numbers for new sales, someone picks up in 5 seconds.
I love paycor services but customer service has really fallen. They used to answer the phone within a few minutes now its a few hours. That is not acceptable. I am considering changing to paychex or some other service just for this reason.
If I could give Paycor a 0, I would. They erroneously debited my business account $36K in September. I caught the error and brought it to their attention, but Im still waiting on a credit due. 4 months later. Its IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with a live person by phone. And emails go completely unanswered. Ive been on hold for 80 minutes this morning trying to resolve their mistake! UGH!!! Time to move on....
They do a good job at processing payroll but if you ever need help good luck. I received a tax letter about withholdings and I can not get any response from paycor. Multiple emails (the way they prefer) just go unanswered and they dont answer the phone
Stay away from these guys! BEWAREUpdate 2: Apr 2, 2020. The amendments were not fixed and are working for last 6 months on it and they charged me yet again $300. They just deduct amounts from your business bank accounts without your permission. I closed my Paycor accounts and had placed a block on my business checking account to further have no transaction with this merchant. My employees are waiting on for updated W2 for corrections i requested and paid for in Oct, 20.Update1: Feb 2, 2020 yet another worst experience today with nearly 4 hours on phone trying to fix tax amendments for 2 states I requested 4 months ago and paid $375 towards amendments in Nov and they do not reflect on W2s. When contacted today they say they fixed the deduction but not the taxes and want to charge another $300 for tax amendment and $150 to update 2 W2s again. I dont know how they can amend deduction without fixing taxes. These guys can suck money from you in every possible way and illegitimately. I just cant wait for the quarter to end to move out from these guys.
This was once the best payroll company in the business. Their service has been on the decline over the last several years. In fact their customers service is virtually non existant. Several time over the last 2 weeks Ive called the payroll select team waited on hold listening to their lousy and depressing on hold music, nobody picks up the phone. If your looking for a payroll company keep looking Paycor is the pitts! The good news is there are several new payroll comapnies that have launched over the last 2 years with very good reviews. I too will soon be doing business with one of them!
I give them no stars except I have to give them one.
As a payroll company, customer service should be priority #1. Unfortunately Paycor falls extremely short from our businesss experience. They have been charging me $32 a month for the past 6 months after I closed an account. I have been tossed back and forth on phone calls from one department to the next with no luck. I even set up my bank to put a stop transaction on their requested withdrawal, and Paycor some how managed to override that. I would not recommend using Paycor for your payroll needs.
Calling by phone only lets you get to some if you have an id number or straight to a sales person. 3 out of the 4 people did not help me. In fact they told me they would transfer me but instead just sent me back to the main menu to have to do the whole process over again. Even when I asked for a supervisor on the 3rd attempt I was just ignored and sent back to the main menu. My issue was a problem with the website not working correctly. Never got resolved. Unprofessional and ridiculous.
I have tried to reach customer service by phone 3 times in the last two weeks each time on hold for over an hour and I never got through. They do not return emails either and I am a current client
They dont answer the phone. 3 times at least 50 on hold
I have used paycor since 2013 I believe. Many many years. When I first signed on, I was receiving one on one attention and had amazing and fast customer service. A while in, I was moved to “paycor choice” and had a team of 5 or so people to help me. Then it turned to anyone who ended up answering the phone. All while customer service decreased, costs went up. After our business was closed for covid restrictions, and we received the PPP we had to change our pay dates and periods to accommodate the stipulations of the loan (we were one of the very early distributions where first payout had to be within 10days). They could never fix it. I had to manually go in and do it, and customer service just kept going down hill. I talked to a local company who could not only give me a better price, but amazing customer service like I had when I first started with paycor except better. So all paycor had to do was file my q3 tax packet and let my new company take over from there. Instead - they are now charging me a monthly base payroll fee of $107 that I never agreed to for October, November, December, and now a January charge... but even after waiting on hold 3 days in a row for hours on end - the lady assured me w2s would be destroyed and I even signed a liability waiver for them not to complete them 1/14/21. Now... tonight - a Sunday, I get an invoice and notification of an act withdrawal for over $200 for w2s!!!!!I am soooo over it! I have been unlawfully charged over and over again and I am DONE!! Now I get to wait on hold for how long tomorrow?? Give me my money back and STOP CHARGING MY ACCOUNT!
Customer service BAD.They dont pick phone for hours.
Horrible customer service. Worst I have ever dealt with. Sad. We will be switching payroll companies at the end of the year. Stay away.
Horrible site, need verification every time I log into it, I used 8 hours of my 40 hours of PTO and now Paycor website says I have -8 hours of PTO. Not correct math!
I love working at Paycor.
I have now been on hold for almost 2 hours and have yet to speak to a person. This is at least our 3rd or 4th time calling with no answer and have sent 5-7 emails with no reply.
Paycor itself is a nice system. It is intuitive and you can do most things seamlessly or get help through their help section. The customer service is terrible. They no longer have specific account reps, not that you could contact them directly when they did. It takes over an hour to get to a representative. When you have an employee waiting to get access and/or sitting in front of you wanting an answer but youve been on hold for over an hour, it is so discouraging. The whole customer service system is to call their 855 number and wait for someone to answer. Our on boarding process was a nightmare. We had no support and could never get anyone on the phone to help, and we still find mistakes a year and half later.I would not recommend this company to any future employer.
Absolute disaster in recent months, in terms of client support. No rep to talk to anymore, tickets go unanswered, wait times on the phone are cumulative HOURS and HOURS.
Look at all the negative reviews, proofs in the pudding! Company is a joke.
Paycor is the only payroll company that holds child support payments for the allowed 7 days before sending it to the assigned county. Ohio rules state it should be sent immediately BUT within 7 days. Paycor never sends it immediately.
My son has been trying for several months to get his W-2. The company he worked for went bankrupt and Paycor refused to give hundreds of employees any information. The W-2’s finally went out a few weeks ago but still nothing. Paycor won’t reply to the my son or the bankruptcy attorney to confirm they have the right address or email a new one out. During this pandemic my son has lost his job isn’t getting unemployment and has a family with no income so the refund is extremely important for bin to get. However he can’t because he doesn’t have his tax documentation. I’m doing this review because it’s affecting everyone trying to assist financially. Terrible company and so uncooperative even with the people they are “allowed” to deal with. All I ever hear is don’t expect anything g from Paycor. Why wouldn’t a business want to help during this time like other companies are? Our next contact is the local tv station where we will file a consumer complaint so all of Ohio knows that Paycor is only in it for the money. They don’t care about people.
Impossible to get a hold of a representative. Waiting times for a rep up to an hour..needed some documents corrected; still havent heard from them its been months. The payroll service isnt too bad..thats the only thing keeping us using paycor or else wed go elsewhere.
We hired Paycor as our payroll provider in May 2019. The mishaps started in January 2020 while preparing our end of the year paperwork for our accountant to file taxes. To date, we have spoken to numerous customer service representatives and supervisors to correct the issue and as of today, April 16, 2020 the issue is still not resolved resulting in us having to file an extension with the IRS. In addition, due to COVID-19 our business is temporarily closed, and we are seeking government assistance but with the issue still not resolved, we cannot begin the process. Poor service!
Is there even customer support anymore? I cant get my rep to respond - for months now. If I lodge a question, it goes unanswered. What is going on??
Wonderful place to work
Terrible customer service response time!! 9 out of 10 calls I place I am on hold for 45 minutes to over an hour. Unacceptable! Look elsewhere for your payroll service provider!
Same payroll tax mistake over three years. now they claim we are not a payroll company, but a software leasing and told us that we have to updated tax code based on different counties and new coded? why pay few hundreds a month and we are responsible? we pay to handlewe are going to a different company that handle a-z and surprisingly %40 cheaper. Also very stuck up and never returns email or calls until a week at least
Paycor service has gone in the toilet. It takes a minimum of 20 minutes and sometimes over an hour to get a human on the phone.
Worst payroll company! Do not use!! We processed three payruns with Paycor. Their team implemented and set up our payroll. The first week- no employees were paid correctly. Money was debited from their accounts rather than being paid. The second and third week each of their tips were debited, withheld, taxed but not reimbursed. They failed to call or return calls or take any accountability. We had to track them down and manually issue checks. We lost employees over the issue. Recently they sent an email claiming they were debiting an extra $300 for unemployment tax that they incorrectly taxed. There employees are all GHETTO and all RUDE! This is the worst payroll company. It is a reflection of TD banks recommendations. Who we’d also not recommend as a bank.
We used Paycor to process two payrolls. The staff was disorganized, and unethical. They completed implementation and assured our company that all deductions and pays were correct and matched the previous providers however they missed garnishments and put our employees in a very bad spot. When confronted they failed to return a call or deal with the situation, they are very unprofessional.
The negative reviews you have read are all accurate. I could just about right a novel on the things that have gone wrong since working with them. Bottom line is I am looking for another alternative and would appreciate any recommendations.
Very colorful and open work space. Great people and company culture make for memorable times at office.
Big, bright and open work space. They have an in-house gym and Usability Research lab. Nuf said.
Tried to contact my success team, at Paycor to simply ask why I didnt get the email reminder for payroll-- sent two emails to Kathleen and one to the general Paycor contact, no one apparently cares enough to answer
Wed used these guys for about two years. Many errors on our 1099s for our subcontractors--off by thousands of dollars. Wed given them precise numbers
I started at my job over 2 years now and we have had Paycor as our Payroll Provider. I have never had a problem with this company. In fact, the 2 people I have worked with, Greta and Lisa, have always helped me when I needed them. They explain situations to me in a way that I understand. They have been very kind and even have put a big smile on my face! I am glad to know they are here for me!Marilyn A. GerathySt. Pius X Parish/School Bookkeeper
I love this place because its really modern and my mom works there
I work here... What can I say.. its a good place to be!
I thought they were terrible and expensive and so we decided to switch services.... BUT after a terrible experience trying a couple other payroll services Ill have to say that these guys are not too bad. I would say they are about Average or maybe a little high on the pricing and if they could keep a customer service rep that responds within a couple hours Id give them a better rating, but it seems they have a lot of turnover or you get someone thats just not that great at replying within a couple hours or getting you the info you actually asked for or need to get the job done so youre asking a second time ... After seeing the other services out there though Id say they are about average. Its who were using right now.
Really beautiful new building with some nice amenities. I appreciate Paycor and their hosting of meetups for the UX community of Cincinnati!
Great training facility
Great place to work
Payroll is correct every month
Fantastic place to work And play (ping pong table).
The last two companies I worked for have used Paycor and both of my expierences were awful. With both companies, Paycor overlooked taking out city taxes from my bi-weekly check, for six plus months both times. As a result the city taxes I owed were taken out of subsequent checks. I understand that mistakes happen but the same for mistake for two unrelated companies to occur within in same year is rediculous. The first company that I worked for used Paycor from January 2013 thru June 2013 before the mistake was recognized. The second company used Paycor from March 2013 thru June 2014 before the mistake was recognized. I know Paycor is cheap for business owners but pay the extra money and get a company who knows what they are doing.
Am very angry and dissapointed in Paycor services.I have been having to reset my password every night for two 2 weeks, with no results. All my other accounts on line am able to access fine But Noy PAYCORS.What is the deal? Guess I will have to publish this all over tyhe web. Your service sucks.I also sent three emails and they all came back failed. Sounds like to me Paycor is a failure also.
Great place to work
Paycor is neither reliable nor transparent! It has internal credit policies that it conceals from clients, its payroll specialists are rarely available and they keep making errors in Payroll processing! They also require you to wire the entire payroll, no matter how large it is into their account, even if employees have accounts in the very bank that the client uses!
Excellent company to work for!
Love working here!
Great Place to work
Easy to find easy to find
Not helpful at all, canned answers is contact your companys representative, give options to merge accounts from different employers, but this does not work do not do it.
Great place to work great environment
Sucks
Best in class payroll SaaS
Terrible customer service impossible to access your information
Never an issue.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!
Paycor: Welcome Home
