Gils is my favorite Barbershop. The guys are very talented Barbers and friendly.They have been around a long time and it shows with their experience.Id recommend Roger to cut your hair, however they all are very talented.

Good haircut. Horrible beard trim. Asked to trim the flyaways and shape up, didnt even want mustache trimmed. Like obviously trying to keep it long. Dude took about 3 inches off my beard. Absolutely horrible. if only beards grew as fast as you can cut them off

The best mens barber in Cincinnati. A walk back in time to 1950s/1960s old school barber shop. Very experienced barber. I personally go with George, who cuts my hair perfectly the way I like it. While youre there, admire the 1950s era fixtures and display of model cars. Prices are very reasonable!

I tried Gils out yesterday for the first time. It was less than half the cost of some of the other places in the area, the staff was friendly, and Dennis gave one of the best haircuts I ever had. If you are after an excellent and affordable haircut this is the place to go.

What can I say..? Cordial greetings. LOW WAIT TIMES. Friendly environment and staff. If you have the means to, take a trip to Pleasant Ridge. While I can appriciate a younger generation focusing and honing their skills, perhaps they can take a note from these boys. My guy (George) has been doing hair for 44 years!! Went here for the first time last week after my barber passed away. I have to say that Im very pleased with the haircut, the atmosphere, and the kindness of all barbers present. Definitely my new favorite spot. Just remembered to bring cash, at least $25. The base haircut price is $18, and youll be happy enough youll tip well.

Excellent barbershop. Reasonable price for a basic mans hair style. Very friendly barbers, who listen to what you want. This is not a place that uses one electric clipper with different length guards. The barbers know what they are doing. They use shave cream and straight razors to trim your neck and side burns. They also do a good job trimming beards.

I have been cutting my own hair since high school (over 20 years). My wife finally convinced me to let someone else do it. I went to Gils and it was the best experience Ive had in quite some time. Perfect haircut and the fade was in line better than I could have hoped for. I will be going there as long as I am in the Cincinnati area!

Gils is a great place to get a haircut. They have never done me wrong. Prices are a little steep ($18 for mens, $16 for boys), but its always a nice haircut. This is an old school style barbershop, nothing fancy at all. Thats what I like. The barbers are friendly and do their craft well. Its getting harder to find friendly neighborhood corner barbershops. Gils is the epitome of the neighborhood shop.

These guys (and gal) know what theyre doing. Friendly, welcoming, and open to new people. Went up with a trio of fraternity brothers and weve been slowly trying to get more people to go. The decorations are all so entertaining, and once they gave me straight razor edging Ive yet to go back to anything else. Highly recommended!

Cincinnatis best kept secret. Gils has the original charm that you look for in a barber shop. All four barbers are great, and its always worth the wait. Ive been going to Gils for a couple of years now, and they havent given me a bad cut to date. Dennis (Gils son, now owner) is the MAN. Very talented. Id recommend Gils to anyone.

These Guys are nothing but class, I travel a lot and the number of good haircuts I had over the years are less than a handful. To call my experience at Gils extraordinary is an understatement. These people are masters of their craft, staying true by keeping alive a skill that has been forgotten and weathered with time and commercial franchise. I am in my early 30s and I strongly recommend Gils for classic/executive modern day haircut that is truly worthy of white tie event.

Got my first haircut from them today and was highly impressed with it. The shop is clean, the guys are very friendly and great atmosphere in general. i like that they use shaving cream and razor on the back of the neck for a close shave. I will be going back for sure.

Ive been going to Gils for about a decade, and my father went there for decades before me. Dennis(Gils son) has been running it for years since the old man retired, and he keeps it old school the way a mans barber shop should be. One of the few places in town that finishes the back of your neck with a straight razor. These guys are the best in town by far!

I was nervous coming in as a female with an undercut because this place is very old school, but I was treated very well. Wonderful service, talented barbers. Not as great at fades as a lot of black barbershops, but they cleaned me up and I was content with the work done. I recommend very highly for anyone with a traditional hairstyle

The barber I had since my first haircut retired a few years ago. Since then Ive been walking the Earth like David Carradine in the TV show kung fu. Until the day I walked in to Gils barber shop. And now I no longer have to be on a quest for my new Barber. They do a great job and theres always three guys there to cut your hair. They also still use straight razor and warm shaving cream which is so relaxing.
