Ive used Schmidt since 1995. Great company with great customer service. I just had a Lennox furnace and air conditioner installed. The two knowledgeable men from Schmidt worked quickly and they were friendly. The company has always been quick in response over the last 26 years -- with the service, inspections and equipment,. I highly recommend Schmidt Heating. .

On Friday Night of a holiday weekend my AC unit went out. This system is only 4 months old. The installation Company advertised emergency hours. I called immediately expecting a phone call back in the morning. Nothing By Sunday Had given up and the house was becoming uncomfortable. I called several local companies that advertised emergency repairs. The first three did not answer and have still not returned my call and it’s now Tuesday 😂. When I called Schmidt A polite lady answered on the first ring and said we can help you.. This is a Sunday mind you! She told me she would have a Technician call me. Less then 5 min later the phone rang. A gentleman named Mark asked me what was the problem. I told him the basics. In a two minute conversation he was able to describe what to look for in my unit diagnosed the problem over phone and I was able to fix it temporarily till I could get ahold of my contractor and fix it under warranty. This company’s actions this weekend will make me gladly call them in the future when I have a service Issue. Mainly because they were the only ones on a holiday weekend that had my back when I needed help. Words cannot describe how much I appreciate your help. A business ran in this manor is hard to find in today’s world I definitely recommend them!

The guys showed up to install a new AC unit in the attic. Originally thought they would have to cut a larger hole, but were able to remove the house fan and go through there.They were awesome! Any mess they made was cleaned up as the only sign they were there was the new unit and thermostat. Highly recommend to have the crew at Schmidt Heating and Cooling for any HVAC needs!

I contacted Schmidt to do a diagnostic on our radiant floor heating system that was not working. I was told I had to pay for the service call and the expert fee to send someone to my house, which seemed fair considering this was not a typical job. The technician came to our house and was very knowledgeable about our system and said someone would follow up with me on further steps to take to get it working again and a quote for such services. That was back in December and I have since called them four times and have yet to have anyone return my call. Very frustrated I paid $120 to have an expert come to my house to tell me something I already knew and then the company make absolutely no effort to follow up as promised. Although I was happy with the technicians skill I still would not recommend this company. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I paid for a service and have been asking for a simple quote for four months and continue to get no response.

I was having a “loud sound” coming from my outside unit only when the temperature dropped below 30. My heat wasn’t kicking over to oil heat either. I called another place prior to Schmidt’s. They came out, spent a total of 15 minutes at my house, told me everything was running correctly, and charged me $207! Needless to say, I called Schmidt’s up yesterday, and Mark came out today, spent 2 1/2 hours, and was able to diagnose the problem(s). I need a new shroud and my timer for defrost was set on 90 minutes instead of 30. Mark was EXCELLENT. He explained everything, in detail, to me. He took the time to actually figure it out instead of just saying, “well, I don’t see anything amiss”. And the charge was DELIGHTFUL. I will be using them (Mark) from now on. If you want a place that will do you right, THIS IS THE PLACE. EXCELLENT JOB Schmidt’s!

Research the Better Business Bureau - Buyer beware.Left details through Schmidts website. Set up a day and time range through email. After that, nothing. The day of, I checked email and thought I had not responded to a question on timing when in fact i had already responded - twice. Time was set for 10am to 2pm. Came and gone, then got an email saying we have you down for tomorrow. Okay, one day wasted that I could have had someone address my issue. I emailed back, sounds good, what time? Again, nothing. No response. Have no idea if they are showing up or not.Update: No call was made until the second day (TODAY). It was one call, that was returned within 10 minutes. Youve stiffed me one day. If youre stiffing me for a second day, you can owe me $120 in small claims court. Youll pay me $60 for stiffing me yesterday and youll pay me $60 for the frustration caused today! Plus court and legal fees.

Schmidt Heating & Cooling Co is awesome ! They (Zach and team) came to our house to replace our old AC Unit today. We are so pleased with our new unit- it is up and running- very cool and super efficient. They were on time and worked efficiently and cleaned up very well. I cant remember ever having a major repair at our home when the repair people were ever as conscientious as Schmidt Heating and Cooling were. I wish every repair we ever had went this smooth. Oh BTW, the furnace and heat pump runs great too! Couldnt be more happier with Schmidt Heating and Cooling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Less than three hours from first call to cold air on a Saturday. Very responsive and reasonably priced. Mark was super professional, diagnosed our issue (bad capacitor on the outdoor unit), swapped it out and we were back in business. Explained everything he was checking as I looked over his shoulder. 5/5 would use again. Didnt really have a go to for heating and A/C. We do now.

Professional, knowledgeable and competitively priced. Don’t consider any other company if you have a hot water or steam boiler. These guys are experts and understand hydronics systems.Andy was superior technician and got my two Carrier AC compressors rolling again very quickly.A lot of HVAC companies claim to be “experts”. Schmidt only employs experts. I have been using them for years and can’t say enough positive about them.

My husband noticed dripping from our evaporator coil component of our air conditioning unit, so we called Schmidt Heating and cooling, who were able to schedule service for the next day. Mark, the technician, called approximately 40 minutes prior to his arrival and he arrived on time. He determined the issue quickly and professionally, by clearing a clog from one of the pipes from the evaporator coil. We were pleased with the service and will use Schmidt for our HVAC needs in the future.

Schmidt Heating & Cooling is great! Last winter, on the coldest day of the year, our furnace died and Schmidt was out to our house the next day to install a new unit. (The existing unit was very old and not repairable.) Then on Sunday of this week our AC went out (and it too was beyond the point of repair) and again Schmidt came to the rescue. Everyone we dealt with was professional and kind and the work they do is incredible. I am now confident that our house will be comfortable for the next many, many years thanks to Steve Hutzel and Schmidt Heating and Cooling!

Guys showed up on time and did a great job. They even gave me some suggestions on how to improve the airflow in my basement. I made those changes myself and now the whole house is cooler and it has reduced the overall humidity in my home by about 15%. Great job!

Ive been a customer of Schmidt Heating & Cooling for over 30 years. They have installed 3 HVAC systems for me in that time. I have been pleased with each one. Their customer service is top notch, from the office staff to the techs that service my system once a year and the owner, Steve is always available to talk. There are cheaper companies out there, but you get what you pay for.

I called Schmidt to service my air conditioning on a 90 degree day. They responded within an hour and replaced a part to get it working. The price was fair and the work was honest. They could have tried to sell me a new unit since mine has seen better days. Thanks, Steve!

Service technicians did a good clean job of installing the new heating unit on time but a couple of days later someone from Schmidt called me up and wanted to know why they werent paid. Kind of used a hateful tone to me. But Im not the owner all I did was let them in the basement to give an estimate and let the technicians in to install the new unit. Work was fine but someone in accounts receivable dropped the ball as the payment was made that evening after the installation was complete. Thank goodness the owner kept the receipt where she had paid in full as this was a sizeable amount of money. So keep those receipts.

Schmidt Heating & Cooling hit all the marks when it came to replacing my furnace and air conditioner. My units were the originals (25 yrs), so I knew I was operating on borrowed time. When my furnace went out one night, Schmidt was there 1st thing in the morning. They got it up and running with a new ignitor. Three weeks, and 2 additional ignitors later ... at no charge ... the writing was on the wall. Bruce had given me a quote on their Lennox units, which I found to be very competitive. Once I made my decision, Schmidt had me on the calendar within the week. Greg oversaw the installation, which was seamless. He was very professional, answering all my questions and explaining the new equipment. I cant say enough about their quality service department. Roger and Andy were both prompt, professional, and responsive to my questions. I am enjoying my new, ever so quiet furnace, and will continue to use Schmidt going forward to service both units.

Had them come out for a check up as my system wasnt acting right. I explained my unit was making a weird noise and wasnt performing like it used to. Serviceman blew out the drain pipe which took 2 minutes, charged me $150, and left. A week later I found out there were two leaks in my cooling coil and needed to have my entire HVAC system replaced. Diagnosis from Schmidt could not have been further off. Dont waste your time and money - call someone else!

I first noticed that something was up about a half hour after I called. I was told that a tech would show up in about 45 minutes... He showed up in less than a half hour! He asked me about the symptoms, and diagnosed the problem and was able to complete the repairs in about an hour or so because he had the parts needed in his van. As for the price, it was less than I expected after he told me what the problem was. I found out later that the repairs would have been more after calling for competitors prices. The tech, Andy, was very polite and professional, he left our home the same if not better condition once he was done. While every company have humans working for them, and everyone can make mistakes, it definitely didnt happen today. Im very pleased with the service and the price, so well definitely be calling Schmidt heating and cooling if we ever have a problem again.

Last fall Schmidt was able to help me out in a pinch over the Thanksgiving day week/weekend replacing a furnace for a fair price. I once again trusted them late winter to diagnose a problem with another furnace. They wanted $953 plus the $60 service fee to replace an inducer motor that they said is no longer made for that unit or $2,100 for a complete system replacement. My hvac buddy said thats highway robbery. I was able to purchase the motor for that unit locally for $160 and my buddy installed it in less than 10 minutes. Insane! Schmidt lost me as a customer and Ill throw them in the pile of dirt bag contractors. I have no issue with a company that tries to make a fair buck and is honest doing it. This was just plain old price gouging! Dont Trust Them, find someone else.

My grandson had them come out and clean the furnace they forgot to clean it I guess he had to pay some one else to do it and the guy that cleaned it said the flame sensor was not even touched that it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years I will never use them agin
