Great help, resources, and job leads

They were nice and helpful !!!

Their website states they offer help with filing for EDD unemployment both online and in person. But when I contacted them they said that they do not. Very misleading and a huge waste of time especially when people are having such a difficult time getting through the phone lines at EDD. Other job centers are able to do 3-way calls with EDD representatives who can assist filers with their claims. So either the website is lying or the person I spoke to was lying. The two do not match.

The EDD Supervisor Sandra is very rude and talks down to everyone, including her personnel. She did not resolve my issue and only talker down to the Lady that did end up resolving my issue. Her name was Myriam, very nice Lady.

Very unorganized, rude, not private when discussing personal matters. Receptionist, staff and management are unaware of the services they offer and are unable to explain the process/meeting in which they are requiring you to attend. A waste of time and gas money!

I came in on a Friday, asked to use the computers for something personal and the lady at the front desk told me its best to come back on Monday morning to use their computers. So after a whole weekend, I came back Monday morning and the same front desk lady told me I cant use the computers and that I needed to call to use the computers. After telling her that she never mentioned I needed to call beforehand, she angrily told me I could use the computers. Front desk lady needs to go.Note: It takes me over 1 hour to get here so she definitely wasted my time and tried to waste it again with my second visit.

Great location, and even better service, this is really a great place for people to come to and get help looking for a job, making a resume or using a computer to apply for work

I have asked for assistance I am very disappointed about one employee I asked a question about how to update my resume she seemed to be very confused and without security to help me. She has assisted me before I know she knows more than what she helped me. I have seen her assisted someone else after she assisted me she was even helping the other client so much better than me using the mouse instead she was telling me what to do having myself to use the mouse. I have always being coming to South County Career Center. Ive seen a very much difference there is such no respect when it comes to have to hear other clients and employees personal conversations other people really cannot concentrate. I am going to change to a different career center to my personal opinion South County Career Center has changed very much lately. I have to log in to my google account again to let everyone know that it is not the first time the printer does not work it is very frustrated having to wait or ask for assistance every time we need to print out any document. I ended up not knowing how to have a good updated resume.

This is a place if you need help to get with resume or looking for job this is a great place to come there I always a workshop for you to learn to use a computer and learn the software. Great place of learning and it is free..

I had to come here to maintain my unemployment benefits, and although I thought it would be a waste of time, I was pleasantly surprised to learn about apprenticeship programs that I previously knew nothing about. As cheesy as it sounds, I think this place helped my find my new career!

This place is magic!!. You will find an accurate answer to each and every question you have and the best part is that they will guide, explain and repeat as many times you need, they help you on finding a hob, you can use a computer, print, help with edd disability or unemployment, they have job fairs.. and a handful of resources like school info, calfresh etc.Rocky is the best!

If youre looking to get back into the workforce, then youre in the right place. The staff are very helpful and care about your needs in order to be successful. South County Career Center is the best. Tons of resources under one roof.

Great staff !! always willing to help those in need, great job search tools, help you with your resume. They have veteran counselors specifically for military members who served and need assistance. I live this job center :-D

I can check my email here, fax, print, & look for a job all at the same time. Your one stop shop. Must have membership to come use the equipment. Orientation is only on Mondays must have signed up for cal jobs.gov & resume ready. You will get a card once orientation is over you can start faxing away, right away.

Waste of tax payer money. Nobody knows anything.

Alejandro Ibarra helped me pursue a porgram at UCSD Extension. It took us several months to get me enrolled, nonetheless, Alejandro kept in contact with me and encouraged me to pursue higher education, I really recommend going to him for any career advice.

Lots of transitions going on at the moment turn to ResCare has lost its contract and a new company is in its Stead. So, call ahead and make sure the classes youre wanting to attend are available.

Here do my Taxes of the year 2019 completely free. Some people help you fill out your form with your data and are patient, kind and friendly to answer your questions. Taxes seem to be made by young students or recent graduates, but everything came to me in order and form.A pity that it is closed this 2020 and 2021, I hope they will open it again next year because the help of making taxes for free is really important.
