In May, my brother and I were in the market for a car. I personally enjoy the negotiation process of car buying.We made our way to the Chula Vista Honda dealership close where my brother lives. We were first greeted by a sales person who was quite nice but seemed to learning the products. He was called away to an appointment and he introduced us to Sam Sheikh.I really enjoyed working with Sam. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and had an easy calm demeanor. He walked through all the features of the car. When we decided this particular vehicle would suit our needs, Sam, patiently walked through the various purchasing options. He was transparent about the transaction and we felt very comfortable knowing we got a great deal.All of the staff was pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend you purchasing at Chula Vista Honda. Ask for Sam as Im sure you will get the same level of service that we experienced! Sam should be promoted to a trainer/manager. The dealership would really benefit from his expertise and professionalism.
We drove in with my lifted 2018 jeep, never thought I would trade it for a Honda Civic but the deal was just too good. We quickly told Mr.Delgadillo C. (the sales agent) we didn’t need anything big its just me and my wife no kids, so he took us to a 2019 Civic Coupe Sport, fun, fast, 30-40 mpg and perfectly reasonable price, management, finance and the agent where all super friendly and accessible to my broken foot at the time.
I found Malibu through Chula Vista Hondas website, but it was at sister store in El Centro. After I connected with Jennifer she was on top of ensuring it got to Chula Vista ASAP + she kept in contact with me every step of the way via text and e-mail ( which eased my anxiety as I wanted the 2018 Malibu). As soon as it arrived in Chula Vista I was able to complete walkthrough, test drive ask questions and go back in to review financing options and terms. She was patient, knowledgeable and had a fun personality. Diamond in Finance was also fantastic !!! Both are great assets to Chula Vista Honda.

I bought my cars at this location 8 years ago and have had it serviced here ever since. I have always come away with a feeling of being heard and attended to by bright, courteous professionals! I usually hang around and wait for my car while its being serviced, so its also important to me that the waiting room is comfortable (which is helped by the nearby, free coffee machine!) and the bathrooms are CLEAN!
I had an amazing experience at this Honda location. I was shopping around several locations for a vehicle all over San Diego and I was pleased to have great assistance here and was helped to find the vehicle that was right for me. Any questions I asked was answered right away and with care. If you are looking for a vehicle, come to this location. Was being rushed and over questioned by the sales person and as I was trying to show my friend specs about the vehicle and questions I would ask them, wouldnt have the answer to and yet responded in a very snarky manner. Rushed me through when I was viewing vehicles and talking me down from looking at the ones I was interested in. Im quite bothered that someone like that works there when their job is to give you details about the vehicle youre wanting to buy and not interrogate you as youre trying to browse and looking at the cars youre interested in BUYING.. It was totally uncalled for and left early, didnt even bother to continue at that place

The new CRV is pretty cool because it sounds like a spaceship when you turn it on 😂.
Would you like a crash course in raw corporate greed? Then check out Honda Chula Vista. After getting out of an expensive auto loan, I came here with the intention of buying a $10-$15k car, with more affordable payments. Completely disregarding my budget - Gabriel insisted and pressured me into into a vehicle that’d leave me with payments more akin to the mess I had just escaped. Gabriel did this by giving me false information regarding payments. The next day after putting a whopping 15 miles on the car, I begged for them to take it back. Michelle sarcastically told me they would if they had a ‘magic wand’ - and furthermore, that pushing the issue would - no joke: “compromise my relationship with Honda”. I am now in the negative scraping to get rid of this mess. Thanks Honda Chula Vista for screwing me over, and showing me that your interests really are rooted in profits - and couldn’t give a lick about the customer.
Different management, still poor staff, at least it the maintenance area. We went back and forth with coverage and obviously both parties (them and me) got frustrated and agitated, difference is they obviously did not keep it professional. This is how i got my car returned after changing the tire. I’m obviously very annoyed and will not be returning to this dealership. I’d rather take my business elsewhere.

Super sleezy establishment. Me and my partner purchased a Nissan Leaf and the battery was severely degraded and this was never disclosed. When we complained about it, they acted as if we were idiots who just didnt know how to charge an electric vehicle. We were able to return the vehicle because we had a deferred down payment (which wasnt properly documented) so the loan wasnt set up yet but we have yet to receive the down payment we put down. Theres a new excuse every time we try to pick it up. Also, the customer service is terrible, if you ask too many questions they start snapping at you and generally act as if youre a nuisance. I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing a vehicle here.

From the initial call with Jackie to get info about turning in my lease to the salesman, Sam, who helped me find a GREAT car that I absolutely love to Mike the money guy who worked with my limitations to the finance department, I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Chula Vista Honda. I live in a completely different part of San Diego but will come here, and recommend friends and family do as well, for all future car needs. Overall, A+ experience in what can sometimes be a very daunting task.
Summary: Watch your own back, because they dont have it.Buying a car is a big decision and a very stressful experience - so much money, so much pressure, and you just dont know who to trust. Am I right? In late July, I did an exhaustive search and bought a used car from Chula Vista Honda. I went to several dealerships and strongly preferred salespeople at other places (great people like Jess B. at CarMax and Umair K. at Mossy Honda Lemon Grove!). The only reason I bought at CV Honda was because they had the used car that best matched my needs.Very late in the purchasing process, the salesperson *Mr. Andres Herrera* told me he could only find one key but he would keep looking. After buying the car, I followed up 3 times with Mr. Herrera. Finally, I called the sales manager and then Mr. Herrera quickly called me back and told me that they looked everywhere and cant find any 2nd key. He said I could come back and buy a 2nd key with the employee discount. This might sound like a little thing, but after all the money I spent on the car and extended warranty (b/c buying a used car has inherent risks), based on my experience, I conclude that CV Honda are just as greedy as they come. They did not earn my trust or confidence.If they have the car you want, make sure you ask ALL the questions and dont assume all information will be disclosed. I love the car I bought, but personally, I will never go back to Chula Vista Honda. Good luck and may the buyer beware!

Fantastic service! I dont mind driving a little further south of my hometown in San Diego to Chula Vista for servicing on my 2013 Honda Civic because the service team at this location is excellent. Never had any major issues with my Honda that couldnt be fixed quickly and efficiently by CV Honda and I appreciate the care that goes into the customer experience.

Decided to try the new Penske Honda today I went in around 9:45 a.m. I was told it would be ready in about an hour and a half but my car was ready at 1045 so only took them an hour. I was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism by the quickness even though I had no appointment and the quality of the service I will definitely come back to this dealership to get my oil changed, and of course get a free car wash with change. The customer Lounge area was nice and have the TV plenty of seating free custom coffee, if you guys have ever seen those Coke machines where you can customize your drink they have the equivalent of this in coffee so I had me a vanilla mocha something-or-other it was good.
Jason Najeeb, was our sales person and he was very informative and understanding during the search for a vehicle for our daughter. He went the extra mile by expalining us the Pros and Cons of what we where looking for. Compare to other dealers that we have gone, they did not bother to give us options, unlike Jason it was a success.Thank you Jason, our experience with CV Honda was exceeding our expectations.

I asked for a quote for a part and services and an appointment and still no returned my call or text, its been two days. Bad experience for the first time i would not recommend this place. I just found out my in-laws had a bad experience with their CR-V here as well!! The mechanic dismissed there concerns on a noise coming from their wheels. He said it was normal but they never heard that noise before, they took it somewhere else and no it was not normal. Wheel bearings were the problem.

My go-to for oil changes and initial diagnosis on issues with my 2010 Pilot. A bit on the pricier side, but to be expected form an authorized Honda dealership. Didnt have car wash available, so Im. Downgrading this review to 4 stars. Employees there are courteous and professional. Always showing me, visually, when parts need to be replaced....then giving me options to remediate them now or at the next visit. Free WiFi while you wait, AC, Comfy leather chairs, and comp water/coffee will always be a bonus in my book.
As a certified A.S.E automotive technician and having worked in this industry for over 10 years now, I can honestly say this is one of the best dealerships Ive worked at. Everything from the service advisors to the parts department, were able to keep customers happy and get their vehicles in and out and coming back for additional services.
Ive been coming to this location for years (they were Fuller Honda back then). My last five Hondas have all come from this location. In fact, I live in East County and drive all the way to this location in Chula Vista to get my cars serviced. The staff is always friendly and and very professional. The staff over the years have changed, but the quality of service continues to be top notch. Rigo helped me get my most recent vehicle and he is great! Fuller now Penske Honda treated my parents with amazing service and continue the same treatment with me. 10 out of 10 in my book.

My first impression is the internet response in my interests about a Honda Hybrid 2019 -2020 from TIM GIANOTTI. First it was professional in his response adding a photo of the vehicle and the links describing the specifications of the car. I was truly impressed and then he added the price “my internet price for the vehicle” I actually was going to another dealer for Honda closer to us. I told my husband the internet response and we decided to go straight to where TIM is which is Penske Honda Chula Vista. Keep in mind this is my first new car purchase ever! Tim made me feel it is all about what I wanted. He truly focus on my needs and delivered!!! I saved money on the 2020 vehicle internet pricing!! Came in to service my new Honda clarity for the first time. At first I was told told I came in to late and was provided no solutions. I came back another day and I was told I needed to call to make an appointment. I called and nobody answered. I went through their awfully built website on my mobile phone to schedule an appointment without any success. Finally I got on the online chat and was eventually contacted by someone to set up an appointment. The appointment was way out because of horrible availability so I decided to come in the next day with more than enough time so they can service a drive in. I was then told they can’t service my vehicle and that I should schedule an appointment on a date that was not previously available when I was talking to the representative on the phone. It seems their departments have no communication between each other. Perhaps they need to hire more mechanics. This is unacceptable and detestable customer service. I have no incentive to keep my business at Honda or to buy future cars from them.
After going to the National City Honda dealer for brakes and getting an overcharge I decided to go to Penske Honda Chula Vista. I don’t regret my decision of going with them. They were very professional since the moment I got there and followed COVID-19 guidelines. Jorge helped me and send me updates regarding my vehicle. After going for 4 years to NC dealer, I wish I would have gone to Penske instead. I usually don’t write reviews but I truly believe they deserve it. I got my car back the same day and they even washed it for me. 100% recommend. Thank you Penske Honda and Jorge!! Excellent service !

I’m sorry did I miss something? I had a hard time getting around the thought that we would actually buy a car here. That’s how me and my wife felt when we were inquiring about purchasing a vehicle here. We felt like we were a nuisance to your representatives! The level of arrogance and chit chat amongst the employees was unacceptable. From the time we walked in to everything in between and in the end we honestly felt unwelcomed. We went to other dealerships in the area with much better service from the start. Even if you guys would have thrown us a good deal we’d decline it just because of the level of arrogance and disinterest displayed. I would give this place a zero star but we encountered one employee who was great. Sam did an outstanding job explaining and answering our questions. Thats what you call great customer service. Thank you Sam! The others need a lesson or two. Thankfully we worked it out with another Honda dealership in the area and purchased a vehicle yesterday.

Once everything was set they walked me through the process and then asked me to wait in the lobby. They have a drop off or a wait option and I opted for just waiting there until they were finished and it was probably a little more than an hour before they were done and I had my keys and my car back :) Gracias

The service that I received at Penske Honda of Chula Vista was amazing! I had been to Honda dealerships in Lemon Grove and Vista, but left disappointed by their dishonesty. Its important to be upfront and honest with your customers, and the buying experience at Penske was that and more! They gave me a quote for a car and when I got there, they had the vehicle and honored the quote, which are things that didnt happen at the other dealerships. I went there yesterday my girlfriend want it to buy a honda for the past year I took her, we test it some cars, she end it up liking a honda accord, the salesman told us there was a deal going on with that car, when we got to see the numbers, supposly we didnt qualify for the deal, than I said ok, I was asking for another deal, it was a hard deal for them to match me, but not impossible. Salesman I could see he was trying, but managers didnt even try. They didnt get close to the deal. My girlfriend was in love with hondas, disappointed, I know they could do better customer lost. Is not my first car that I buy so I know they could do better.

I bought my brand new 2018 Civic at the location and decided to get the maintenance at this dealer all the time. First incident is they told me that the car tires was rotated but it wasnt since I marked the tires. Did the survey and no reply. Second incident was the bottom cover for oil change wasnt installed properly so its been hitting the ground. Third incident was the oil change that was blinking after 1K miles, which only means that it was not done correctly. Again, I was a fool to stay loyal hoping that it will get better.
Ive taken my vehicle in to Penske Honda in Chula Vista for the past three years and have always received excellent service. Angel Lara has assisted me the last two times Ive come in and is always very courteous and professional. I would recommend Penske to anyone who needs their Honda vehicle serviced.

Don’t bother making an appointment, just show up, you’ll be out of here a lot quicker. I had an appointment for an A1 service (oil change) at 7:15am. I showed up a few mins prior to get checked in. The car in front of me had no appointment and was told that appointments would take priority and his wait time would be approx 2 hours. It is now 9:05am and I’m still waiting. The guy without the appointment left about half an hour ago. The wash job they did was trash too.
I love bringing My car to this Honda dealership because I feel that the customer service representative truly cares about me and my experience. They are always very helpful and go out of their way to make sure I am taken are of.
Angel Lara was friendly and professional. He was very helpful, and I intend to contact him for appointments in the future! Making an appointment was quick, I was helped right away. I didn’t know that they weren’t doing drop-offs due to the pandemic, so I had to wait in the lobby. Other than that, everything went well 👍🏼 Well done, Angel! 😊👍🏼

I had received exceptionally great service from Zach Dow. I have been coming to Penske Honda Chula Vista for many years for general maintenance and inspections. I wouldve gave 5 stars but the vending machine wasn’t working/on so....other than that, I recommend Manuel Ortiz! Smooth talker!
