Both my sons started at Epperson dojo at the age of 4. Anthony reached his brown belt status in his sophomore year of high school. Dominic got to green belt in middle school. They both played sports, Chuck taught positive motivation and self confidence. I believe that being a student at Epperson helped them with their self esteem and confidence. Our family loves Epperson Bros Kenpo Karate. Our six year old son started training there this past summer after taking a couple lessons at a different dojo. There is no comparison. Epperson Bros is top notch. The instructors are highly knowledgeable in both karate and how to teach kids. They make the classes fun while the helping the kids grow their skills. My two girls 10 and 13 have been learning from Sensei Chuck for almost two years now. They love it! They have also really learned some skills and gained confidence in themselves and thier abilities. Chuck and his team are excellent instructors and, should my girls continue, they will not outgrow this dojo as Chuck is very skilled. Eppersons is not just for kids but they are great with them. We really enjoy our time at the dojo. Sensei Chuck, Sensei Kai and Nanette do a really good job. Sensei Chuck is great instructor who resonates with our boys while still commanding respect. Weve been coming to the dojo for over 4 years. My oldest has gone from a bouncy and energetic 5 year old into a more advanced class where hes learning to spar and grapple with his piers. We love the confidence and coordination hes gained in the process. Now its our youngest whos bouncing around in the Little Dragons class.

I first encountered Sensei Chuck Epperson when my six year old daughter won a contest at her elementary school that entitled her to some free American Kenpo Karate lessons. From the first lesson I appreciated the quality of teaching at Epperson Brothers Kenpo. What an amazing Karate dojo, to have a USA Karate Hall of Fame in Chico is amazing, a hidden gem. Chuck Epperson is an amazing instructor a 9th Degree Kenpo instructor under Huk Planas.
